    This was was such a wonderfull surprise to me, its a bit text heavy, but overall it is an amazing story, a true role play game. memorable chracters, insane good dialogues, great music, something that touches your soul. This is what i have been missing in the video game industry. Loved this game!

    This game is the best game I have ever played. I didn't realise video games could be like this. It was godly.
    If you like story/character/heavy questions about the shape of society and the world at large then you should try it.
    Sense of humour is required.

    If watching a trailer or review of Disco Elysium leaves you even remotely interested in this game, buy it.

    Much like a good candle, it's a slow burn, and is at it's best when fired up during a quiet evening in. I say this because in order to fully appreciate the experience on offer, you must allow yourself to get immersed. Mind you, the games narrator Lenval Brown, makes this an easy task as he delivers a captivating performance from start to finish. So much so, that it would be rude to skip any of games dialogue.

    The dialogue is smart and well-written, rewarding those that engage with it fully and take the time to listen. Personally, I would have preferred a portion of the games main story beats to take a slightly different path, and found some dialogue sections feeling a bit convoluted, however this does not take away from the overall experience of the game.

    I must admit that seeing the end credits of a game has become somewhat of a rare occurrence these days, with many games feeling bloated and uninspired, however Disco Elysium kept my attention throughout, all the way to the end.    … Expand

    I went into this game knowing nothing about it and came out with a new perspective on the world I live in that has stuck with me ever since. There is beauty in the sadness.

    Personally, my favorite video game (and that I haven't played a few). Its world is complex, with interesting characters and a good plot. Quite interesting and memorable, worth a try even if you don't like RPGs or games with more text than dialogue. There are parts where the text is overwhelming, yes, but it's still a game that holds a big place in my heart.

    Simply the best game I've ever played. Gameplay isn't for everybody - you just walking, finding a stuff and communicating with characters, "throwing dices" in a checks (because there's a pretty good RPG mechanics) and read A LOT. But the plot, the world, the atmosphere, the characters...man, that's indescribable. It was perfect, every single detail. Literally fell in love to this game.Simply the best game I've ever played. Gameplay isn't for everybody - you just walking, finding a stuff and communicating with characters, "throwing dices" in a checks (because there's a pretty good RPG mechanics) and read A LOT.     능력치와 상호작용하는 선택지 시스템. 달라지는 묘사가 흥미로움
    숨겨진 요소들도 많고 서브퀘스트도 다양해 오랜 시간 즐길 수 있는 게임
    아쉬운 점은 다른 능력치를 올려 플레이 스타일을 바꿔도 메인퀘스트의 결과는 크게 바뀌지 않는다는 것

    The best game I've ever played. I admit it, the first 2 hours were not great. I got a headache from reading all those dialogues and I couldn't understand the mechanics of the system at all. Damn, the first time I stepped outside, I didn't know what the hell I'm supposed to do. But little by little, everything came together and the game began to get fun. You can choose different dialogue options, or put different amount of numbers on each 4 main attributes or you can do a 180 and completely change personalities.     One of the few 10/10 I have experienced in 20 years of gaming.

    its all you could ever hope for in a game in this genre. Unique, beautiful, gorgeous music and storytelling you will not find in modern games anymore. So much love went into this game.

    Perfect soundtrack.
    Good rpg system.
    Unique, breathtaking plot, comparable to best movies/books.

    Mediocre gameplay and gamedesign. As a game it can be sometimes boring and irritating.
    Despite huge number of dialogue options, quests and game itself lack of endings and variability.

    I write a best games of the year article for a medium sized gaming press site.. Disco Elysium has been my game of the year for 4 years running (and that's only because I didn't play it at launch).

    The best story-driven game I've ever played. Definitely buy it, but I'd say be careful not to do things too quickly because this game is over before you know it.

    + Good Story with lots of different ways to approach it (especially if you like the depressive tone)
    + Atmospheric visuals and audio
    + Unique characters with interesting world views
    - Most of the game is walking and talking which becomes a drag sometimes
    - Overcrowded skill menu that takes some time to get into

    In Disco Elysium, you are ashamed of the past, future, present, and even your own appearance and material condition.
    A must for all CRPG fans. This is a phenomenal work, script and art master piece

    Big fan of combat based games, like FromSoft titles, God of War, basically any action RPG. So when I first saw this, I thought it wasn’t for me, thought it was some overrated indie game. Then I played and think the exact opposite that it beats out GoW(2018) as my favorite game of all time. The story, the characters, everything about it is a masterpiece.     Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is something rare. It’s a re-issued version of an already-beloved game, that manages to eclipse the source material through clever and thoughtful additions that maximise one of the game’s most beautiful assets: its prose. But more than that, it’s the only CRPG that can truly claim to emulate the tabletop experience—not through adherence to statistics or rules or character sheets, but through the simple act of asking questions, and thoughtfully incorporating the answers.

    Disco Elysium has a distinctive quality to its narrative, whether it's the interesting history of its world, or the mysteries surrounding the investigation, not to mention the depth and uniqueness of the many characters. It's one of the greatest story-driven experiences we've ever seen.
