Computer Gaming WorldThe new campaigns take advantage of a larger supported map size, allowing for longer and more complicated scenarios. [Oct 2003, p.117]
-
On its own merits, this expansion is a reasonably good deal, but it's best suited for the hard-core Disciples II fan who wishes to play every single official scenario for the game.
-
Only new players and veteran fans who have taken up smoking crack to fill the void of no Disciples II will want to shell out the money for each of these expansions. Shame.
-
Make no mistake though, Servants of the Dark is fun; it's just that the whole experience is a bit short when compared to the lengthy and extensive original.
-
The single player mode is lacking in many ways and feels disjointed, as if the missions should have just been in the original game.
-
Computer Games MagazineScenario design in the new campaigns is overly reliant on puzzles. [Oct 2003, p.95]
-
There's just not enough new content to justify this expansion.
