The pinnacle of greed, the epitome of grinding, the peak of boredom. A truly POS of a game from a POS company run by POS people.

Why was it necessary to port the game to a PC, if there are a lot of bugs in it, the E button on a PC generally works every 20 times opening doors or closets. Character dialogues on the floor of the screen. Blizzard is the most miserable company.

I was hoping that this was going to be an exception because it was a mobile game, but this is what blizzard wants. They are using beloved ips to suck money out of players. OW2, D4 - they are more complete games but they learned from D Immortal. Blizzard doesn't care about players, the executives will do whatever they can to get your money.

Diablo has always been a series that held a special place in the hearts of gamers. With its dark atmosphere, compelling storyline, and addictive gameplay, it had once set the gold standard for the ARPG (Action Role Playing Game) genre. With its dark atmosphere, compelling storyline, and addictive gameplay, it had once set the gold standard for the ARPG (Action Role Playing Game) genre. But with the announcement and subsequent release of Diablo Immortal, Blizzard appears to have taken a turn that many of its long-time fans view with skepticism.

    Unwanted Platform Shift:
The most glaring issue isn't necessarily with the game itself, but with Blizzard's decision to bring Diablo to mobile. While there is nothing inherently wrong with mobile gaming, the platform shift from PC/console to mobile was unexpected and not entirely welcome. Many felt that it diminished the depth and richness that the Diablo series is known for.

    Monetization Over Mechanics:
Diablo Immortal seems to lean heavily into microtransactions. While this is a staple in many mobile games, the intrusive nature of these monetization mechanics in a franchise known for its deep, uninterrupted gameplay is alarming. It feels less like a game designed for fun and more like a vehicle to extract money from its players.

    Psychological Manipulation:
The incorporation of 'gacha' mechanics, timed rewards, and other psychologically manipulative techniques casts a shadow over Blizzard's intentions. While these strategies are effective in retaining players and encouraging in-game purchases, they can often detract from genuine gameplay enjoyment.

    A Disconnect with the Fanbase:
Blizzard's dismissive response to fans' backlash — the infamous "Do you guys not have phones?" remark — only added fuel to the fire. Instead of acknowledging fan concerns, it felt like the company was out of touch with its core audience.

    Graphics and Gameplay:
On a positive note, the graphics and fluidity of gameplay on mobile devices are commendable. For those new to the Diablo franchise or those without prior expectations, Diablo Immortal can be a fun experience. But for dedicated fans, it might feel like a watered-down version of the beloved series.

In conclusion, while Diablo Immortal might find a niche among some mobile gamers, it feels like a misstep for Blizzard in understanding what their long-time fans desired. The shift to a mobile platform and the heavy focus on monetization raises concerns about the future direction of the company and its commitment to player satisfaction over profits.

    Important:
I happened to start playing not long ago after BK class was released. And also after I played D4 recently.
Overall, it's 30-50 hours of pretty fun PvE gameplay with an Ok main story and cool bosses until the level cap and almost without any grind (maybe 3-5 hours total only). At this point, I'm a casual F2P daily bounty player with 70+ paragon levels and capable of killing

At this point, I'm a casual F2P daily bounty player with 70+ paragon levels and capable of killing raid bosses solo so far at Hell 2 difficulty.

2 merits I'd like to point out are:
    - The ability to change your class starting from level 35 - 1 time per 24h (gear is swapped to a proper one) with the possibility of reverting if you didn't like it. So no alts are needed, really.
    - You don't need to re-enchant, re-gem your gear when you equip a new piece - the game suggests you to apply all enchants of the previous item to a new one.

P.S. I guess it's more playable now than on release. Hope this helps you to decide to play.

The combat is so fun and addictive that you will forget to look at your HP bar. The graphics are nice and they work well with a newer PC and monitor. But.. There are no acts like in Diablo 1 or Diablo 2 so you will feel lost. After 50 levels of cruising though the game you begin being slaughtered instantly and all of the time once you reach mount zavain and beyond that. Hundreds of people talk about this game being a cash grab. While there is a great story and preservation and continuation of lore it does seem like this is the case. I’m not sure why they came out with a death knight class because crusaders look like death knights or shadow knights even when you equip the recommended gear. The game feels really cozy and Cain and friends from Diablo 2 are in it, there is also a bit of comic relief for example “killing king leoric seems to always work” Expand

IF YOU SPEND LOTS OF REAL MONEY YOU CAN WIN BY CHEATING.

Please don't support cash grab games like this from predatory companies like Blizzard. Blizzard/Activision preys on gaming addicts & players with low self confidence. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Not worth the 70 dollars. Campaign is cute and probably worth 30 dollars, the late game is like a job, and a really boring job at that.

Turn the game into a slot machine and send it to a casino where it rightfully belongs. It has no business on the gaming market.

It is frightening how greedy the Company is acting here. No matter how good the Game is, we as Gamers have to set a Sign that we don't want to go along with everything.

An absolutely abusive monetization strategy from a company that has long touted itself as, "for the gamers," really sinks Blizzard to EA levels of anti-customer game design.

    Best Diablo game ever (almost)
It will never let you get bored. Play and enjoy PvE. Just don't touch PvP (it's definitely not the best).

Diablo Immortals fails to capture the essence of the beloved Diablo franchise. With its simplified gameplay mechanics and microtransaction-heavy design, it feels like a shallow cash grab rather than a true Diablo experience. The mobile platform limits the depth and immersion, leaving long-time fans craving the depth and complexity of the original games.

8/10 for mobile game and PvE without paying a cent.
    0/10 for PvP and MTX
This game is pretty good. When you just want to enjoy a H&S PvE, this is the best game available on mobile and it is totally for free! Only in PvP you are forced to pay if you want to win. But no Diablo or any other H&S ever was about a balanced Multiplayer more so than Singleplayer. Anyway they still are doing

Anyway they still are doing great QoL updates and could potentially also transfer this to new PvP modes or balancing depending on the resonance. It is a 10/10 mobile game, and the best on the market among Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra

After a year, still the PC version is trash. I'm done, finished. Don't care if it's mobile too, it's not going to improve the games content and the fact Blizzard being so damn greedy and constantly asking for money for ridiculous in-game items.

Do I have to express myself? Pay-to-win will suffice. Diablo, one of the games that made history in the world of video games, put in the pay-to-win pot. The game itself is not bad, but since I have to pay thousands of money for a gem... no thanks.

After the WWII ended, there was a rise of certain phenomena among indigenous population of the Pacific, called “cargo cult”. It feels like the very same cultists were in charge of Diablo Immortal: it has superficial resemblance to the real thing, but it lacks any real substance. [Issue#260, p.36]

Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
