    This is Diablo at its best.

    Lots of enemies to fight and s ton of loot to collect.

    Classes and combat are great. Lots of features and content.

    If you don't like this game then you are simply not a fan of the series. Plain and simple

    99% of the reviews giving 0 scores are trash. They all point to the paying argument which is trash as I have already explained! They should judge the game from all points of view which they don't do!
    Also, I'm an old Diablo fan, not a new one, and I was never interested in the competitive aspect of the game, as long as I can finish the story, it's all fine for me.    … Expand

    Love the story, voice acting and game mechanics. I'm sorry for those who only concentrate on and dont know how to ignore micro-transactions. You dont have to buy it to play it.

    Game is very fun and enjoyable.Its also free to play which makes it even easier for everyone to try it out and enjoy it.99% of people hating on this game they only do it because it's a blizzard game and it's a trend to hate on blizzard.If it wasn't, not one of them would even bother saying anything.

    Играю уже вторую неделю, 17 парагон. Играю без доната, т.к. живу в России. Трачу часа 3-4 в день на игру, очень затягивает. Однако из лучших игр для смартфонов, но не для ПК. Не знаю, почему многие взъелись на конский донат, но он такой во многих подобных играх. К этому можно было уже привыкнуть.Играю уже вторую неделю, 17 парагон. Играю без доната, т.к. живу в России.     I personally don't have a care for people who want to just put themselves on a ban vagon just to hate a game because micro transactions. Personally I've been waiting for Diablo as a live service game, and as far as it goes for those "micro transactions" they are not overly taxed on a player. You may pay or skip them entirely it's "your choice".     Sigue siendo beta en pc y se nota que los controles aún no están pulidos, pero es un juégalo entretenido y mejorado con respecto a los demás diablos, y realmente no entiendo por qué lo califican mal. Según es p2w pero no lo veo por ningún lado.

    From a game play stand point I am really enjoying it. It feels good, responsive, I love using the chains skill on my bard to suck people in them hammer the entire group, then whirlwind to finish them off.

    Unfortunately there are some annoying game play features due to the fact that its a mobile port. When you get to the first major town it kinda forces you to go around and talk to all the main npc's. This kind of forced hand holding you wont find in D2 or D3. The player figures it out in their own time. but with mobile games its part of the main quest line to 'go talk to this person' then 'go talk to that person' and you can't move around or to the next part of the quest until you have done this chore. It just feels forced and annoying.

    The monetization is absolutely disgusting, EVEN FOR A MOBILE GAME shieeet. However i get an odd sense of enjoyment out of playing grindy mobile games and not spending a cent. Like, every time I get a pop up for buy something and i press the X out of spite, it just makes me smile haha. You won't get any money from me.

    As a game, I think its a great game. As an example of how far blizzards standards have fallen? Its an absolute shame.    … Expand

    it's a fun game for in between. The microtransactions can be worked around with enough time. People want everything for free these days, but they still want good games. The story, game mechanics, and community events are fun, and the build options are very interesting.

Something you expect from a Diablo game. Everything you can buy is obtainable in game for free. Great vatmriety of moves, abilities, perks, gear and a big 600 point skill tree. 660 player levels to get. 8 player boss fights. TodayFantastic game, so much content!     The game it self is good if you look away from the P2W part. Good continue of the Diablo 2 story, but the pc version needs alot of love due to the overload of bugs xD

    Im have ton of fun with the game. Nice game, the only thing i will consider is that is nealy impossible to gem legendarys gems without Legendary crest, cause you cant also craft those. But besides that everything good

    The game is filled with microtrasactions, there are 21 different currencies and the game isn't consumer friendly. Blizzard claims to be putting players experience at the top but this game proves otherwise

    I really liked the game. The donation system isn't that bad. Compared to similar games. Lots of interesting mechanics. Been waiting for her for a long time. I consider it the best of these games on the phone at the moment. P.S. It is not for everyone, but for those who have a phone))

    4. What could be better: I am into quests and storyline and sometimes you must have the respective level to continue. To do that you need to farm. It's easy and diablo has always been about getting proper items / sets and other stuff to pump up the difficulty level. While that's annoying, you will farm dungeons anyway to get legendary dear - why so why not?
    5. The UI/UX experience sometimes is really weird: plenty of windows, menus, vendors, currencies. Yes that's the way D3 worked but for mobile that should be easier and more manageable (say - what runes do I need for that legendary gem?)
    6. PC version... yeh don't ask I did not get the bluestack working. Would be wonderful to launch it via blizzard client!
    7. Honestly, I'd love to play this game on PC feels like lots of context is slipping away on mobile.

    Overall: can recommend, so far the best mobile game I've ever played.

    This game is fun. Period. Tons of content and ways to progress without spending a dime. i bought battle pass and i'll do it again. Needs better PC UI but they will fix that. Always though Metacritic was about how fun a game is. Guess not.

The plot doesn't innovate much, but there's also nothing to innovate in diablo, it's the usual, beating up on a demon, exploring, picking up some items... some really interesting dialogues, but in the end it's as if we were watching the same thing.     Wow Blizzard, you truely made it! A true Diablo game. It really feels like you where acctualy in hell while getting your soul sucked out by the devil. Is it a good game? God no. But is it an artisical masterpiece, a true hommage to the devil? You can bet your ass it is.

The game supports both mouseclicking and WASD movement, so thats nice. As for skills and gameplay it's very close to Diablo 3 in it's aesthetics.

    As for the big controversy surrounding this game, it's hard to ignore it, but personally I have reached paragon 20+ with about $20 spent. I stopped spending sometime around level 30 and on the higher levels I have so far not been interested in buying anything as the game has more content than I can finish in a day either way. Im sure in the long run, if I keep playing that I might spend a few more dollars, but time will tell.

    So far I've spent less on this than I did on Diablo 3 and Diablo 2 Resurrected, so I'm not worried the slighest. Predatory buisness practices will always be an issue when there exists vulnerable gamers out there that might not have the emotional discipline to prevent impulse buying. Either way that's a topic for politicians to prevent shady practices and not a metacritic review.    … Expand

If you opt to pay your way and don't get what you want from the RNG that runs the loot box boo-freaking-hoo, cry about it to your Mom or a Friend, maybe learn some impulse control, but quit taking it out on the company. Or worse ruin other folks impression of a really good mobile game because you're butt hurt you spent thousands of dollars on a FREE game and didn't get what you wanted.… Expand

    This is an awesome and best game for smartphone and PC in Diablo style, big + there are cross progression. This is not P2W game, cose you can't buy stats, weapons/armor and of course legendary gems. Diablo immortal have few minor problems with restrictions but this is not a critical. Thanks blizzard for a such beautiful game ❤️

    I have not spent a single cent on this game. I played it for the story as I am a Diablo lore fan. The gameplay was actually fun, given that it is completely free to download and play, it is a quality game. I have no desire to compete in pvp or max my character out. I gave it one play through for the story and honestly it's a great experience given that it costs nothing. For continuous playI have not spent a single cent on this game. Its basically completely free without any limitations like in other games where you are limited by daily energy or other stuff. Its running perfectly on my Poco X3 pro.     If you can ignore the typical mobile cash grab stuff(like every mobile game for the past 10 years)
    It's a decent game. I've already put a good 50+ hours for free in and haven't had the feeling I've HAD to pay at all. People complain they HAVE to pay to skip the grind, what else would you play Diablo for?

There is a bug where key NPCs like Deckard Cain have no voice/ speech and this has been known in the forums for about a year with nothing done about it.     The cash-grab mobile we all expected. In fact we all thought it would be much worse, but instead it is decent and remains a free way to approach Diablo without spending a penny. If you like it, you can deepen the experience by enjoying the previous three chapters of the saga (instead of throwing money at a bottomless, endless p2w mechanic, typical of most mobile games.)

    El fallo del juego y que deben arreglar, es la sensación que te da la tienda de tener que pagar hasta por crear un personaje, cuando no es así. Deben de quitar capas al juego y por lo tanto a la tienda. Hay demasiadas capas en la jugabilidad, que si gemas, blasones, varias vendedores, herreros, joyeros, servicios, temporadas, clanes, bandas, reuniones, loterias, runas, oro, platinos, fallas, misiones, es demasiado .... y todo tiene su reflejo en la tienda aunque en la realidad no necesites comprar nada para avanzar si no juegas a tryhardear el personaje.
    El que solo se lo baja, lo prueba y ve todo lo que he dicho se asusta y piensa que o paga o no juega una mierda pero a lo poco que ñe metas unas horas te das cuenta que no es así, y el juego te lo dice a su manera, bueno mas bien no dice nada porque es de los gachas menos invasivos (in game) en cuanto a meterte la tienda cada dos por tres. The story is simple but it works good for the game purpose.     Most of the complains i see come from people that want a full legendary OP pg right now when the game is just a week old

    2 merits I'd like to point out are:
    - The ability to change your class starting from level 35 - 1 time per 24h (gear is swapped to a proper one) with the possibility of reverting if you didn't like it. So no alts are needed, really.
    - You don't need to re-enchant, re-gem your gear when you equip a new piece - the game suggests you to apply all enchants of the previous item to a new one.

    P.S. I guess it's more playable now than on release. Hope this helps you to decide to play.    … Expand

    It's a great amount of content for a mobile game, and geniuinely a very well made game (if not basically a reimagining of D3). Main negative is the monetization model, and the caps on power and progress if you aren't paying exorbitant amounts.

    They adapted and improved many things from Diablo 3, like rifts. The game works better as an MMO without seasons. Instead, the ladders for the specific content are periodically reset.

    Then there are some nice new clan and faction mechanics in here, like the shadow war that lets players engage in clan battles and it could make for a worthwhile mobile and PC game.

    BAD

    The party finder is terrible. Only two weeks after realease, you often spend more time waiting than playing, because the content is too spread out. The people who implemented this can't do basic math.

    Then there's some UI problems with the party search. It adds players that are either afk or in another area and can't join the quest you are queueing for. So all players are asked to confirm that they're ready and that fails because of those players, and then repeats forever. Players who can't join or refuse to join should be kicked from the group automatically.

    The microtransactions. I don't even mind that much, unless the game throws them in my face all the time. And Diablo Immortal does that by giving me some useless free junk every day to make me pay attention to the store. Guess what - that won't make me buy anything. It's just annoying and makes me dislike the game.

    Unfortunately, Blizzard broke their word and microtransactions can give paying players quite a huge advantage, even though the normal progression as a free to play player generally feels good. I think this will turn out to be a good short term and a very stupid long term decision for them - so exactly what you would expect from game management these days.

    I'd even be happy to spend some dollars on good skins or stash space, but I will out of principle not buy anything in a game when it lets players become stronger through microtransactions.

    VERDICT

    In the end you have a game that could be genuinely good, but a lot of potential is wasted by short-sighted management decisions and Blizzard's reputation will probably suffer from this.    … Expand

    I was actually expecting a really bad game, but I had a lot of fun playing it. The gameplay is great (better than Diablo 3), my favorite classes are there, character customization is the better addition here, plus the armor and weapon designs are really interesting. The social features, like raids and such are OK and I didn't even touched the store, which is the biggest flaw in this game.

    The gameplay itself is really fun and enjoyable.
    But the PC port is pretty bad sometimes which can take a lot from the gameplay.
    Also, a major part of the late-game gear upgrading (legendary gems) is locked behind a huge paywall.

It has similar mechanics to Diablo 3, but slightly improved in some aspects. But the pay to win aspect of the game alienates serious players that like to work at the games they play.     Боевая система то же на высоте. Герой, даже с сенсорными кнопками, управляется очень легко, а относительно прочих игр данного жанра так вообще замечательно.

    Систему прокачки немного подкорректировали под ММО, но в принципе она стандартная для игр этой серии.
    Да, теперь ты не один в мире, рядом постоянно кто то бегает, особенно в городах-хабах (Сильно похоже на какой нибудь Fallout 76). Скажу честно, все Diablo всегда проходил в одиночку, атмосфера становится более целостной что ли. Но, что имеем, то имеем.
    Теперь о печальном.
    Игру, я так думаю, нельзя пройти без прокачки персонажа и всего прочего не тратя реальные деньги, то есть без доната. Хотя сама игра имеет цену в $5. Короче это тупо доилка карманов школьников.
    Да, по началу всё это незаметно, и если сюжетка требует 35 уровень, а у тебя 33 просто побегай по допкам и всяким охотам и двигайся вперёд. При том каждый день тебе дарятся разные бонусы, которые тоже поднимают уровень. Проблемы начинаются после 45 уровня. Допки приносят мизерное количество опыта, а бонусы становятся всё более жалкими. Короче авторы тебе даже не намекают, а прям из мегафона орут в ухо: "ТАЩИ БАБЛО ДЛЯ ПРОДВИЖЕНИЯ!".
    Но хрен вам буржуи, никогда не донатил в платных играх и не буду.
    Короче так прошло 4 месяца, геймплей завис, сюжет тоже. Жаль.
    Резюмирую. Игра не плохая, но, к сожалению, полностью испорчена этими постоянными запросами на донат денег. Было бы понятно если бы без взносов игра становилась сложнее, но нет игра просто упирается в стену, которую не преодолеть.
    Прокачка одного уровня бесплатно может занять неделю, а может и больше.
    К тому же игра, наверно раз в неделю, требует подкачки файлов обновления. И к моменту удаления с телефона занимала где то 15 ГБ! места. Для телефонной мобилки это много!    … Expand

However, the current iteration is simply exhausting to deal with, from the myriad of PC issues, abundance of pay-to-win microtransactions and needlessly complex systems to the annoying UI, underwhelming loot, and pure shamelessness of the facade.     I've played the game for about 40 hours before quitting. The first few hours were enjoyable, but it gets grindy really fast. It doesn't help that literally everything is time-gated, including the drop chance for legendary items. The Pay-to-win aspect is starting to become more apparent in PvP. As a F2P player you can not compete with someone who spent a lot of money.

The players could not use any bypass to behave differently. That is the beginning of this spiral of falling. Now they gave out the diablo immortal. Let‘s have a look what behaviors they designed to be allowed and enforced in this game. Basically, there are two types of the gamers who are allowed to fit in this game. First type is free but light players. These players don’t care about the forced social in the game such as ranks,. They are also very easy to get bored quickly since the game experience gets very repetitive after finish the storyline. Getting legendary gems won’t change the repetitiveness since the grinding just gets harder and harder but gives same experience. I am this type of players. Personally, I feel annoyed by the level limits during the main story line. That is just cheap trick to make the story longer. After playing different modes for about 10 times, I feel very bored by grinding in rift or killing 60 monsters for some contracts. There is no incentives for me to stay in this game after level 60. The paid players obviously are the second type players and who are welcomed and targeted in this game. Unfortunately, they are treated unfairly harsh in this game. The micro transaction mechanism is way too overwhelming for most of the paid players. The game is purposely designed to be painful for those who like to get involve with pvp or continue after main story. Maybe whales can enjoy more but most people won’t gain happiness by paying some money, instead they feel be played, humiliated and cheated. So either a solo player who only cares about story like me or whales players can enjoy this game. I have to say this business model is interesting and risky. I rated this game solo and cooperative experience with a score of 7 out of 10. Most of the part such as graphics, story writing and immersiveness is ok but buggy sometimes. Nothing is exceptionally good nor particularly bad. The experience after level 60 gets horrible. It becomes boringly repetitive and very frustrating if someone cares about combat rating score. Just like all the other made in China games, the eager to rip off players’ wallet gets very ugly. That is how partnering with some big Chinese game publishers ruin this type of games.     Before writing this review I wanted to make sure I understood the game in and out. I played for the entire leveling process (level 1 to level 60), and a few days of end game. I even bought the battle pass (with google rewards) to see how much $5 a month will get you as an active player. I have engaged with most of the game’s mechanics (besides top level guild stuff), and I think that I have a good handle of my thoughts on the game.

    I’ll start this review off positively (but please don’t assume it’s all positive) with the fact that the game is fun. I played a wizard and tried out a few different builds with my favorite being the lazer crystal build. It’s a blast summoning a crystal and shooting my lasers into it to then have them hit EVERY enemy on screen. Even in PvP this build is super fun to pilot and even snagged me MVP in a match. The main reason I played the game long enough to make this review is because it is fun to play. I saved all my crests during the leveling process for when I hit max level, and when I did I popped them all. This is when my view of the game changes drastically.

    When I finished the main story and hit level 60 I had 24 rare crests and 3 legendary crests. This allowed me to do 8 rare runs and 1 legendary run since each rift takes 3 crests (I’ve seen some people use 10 per run, but I couldn’t find out how). In total from the rare runs I got one 1 star legendary gem, and from the legendary run I got two 2 star legendary gems, and one two star legendary gem that could max out at 5 stars. Essentially the gems I got were pretty trash since a 5 out of 5 star gem is the best. Now this would be fine besides the fact that the rare crest gets you basically nothing, and the legendary crest are far from common. The only reliable way to get legendary crests is to buy them. Until I spend money there is very little for me to do besides the daily grind, and weekly battle pass points grind. Those two grinds will result in a barely noticeable power increase, and eventually once I gain all my legendary gear, nothing at all.

    This was not surprising however since the game hints at how money hungry it is. Every time you complete a new dungeon during the main story the game will offer a one time purchase bundle. These bundles start cheap and they claim to be high value, but as you get further they start to get more expensive and give less. Though the values they claim they have are all completely made up since they all have a skin included in them. These skins are what the game considers to have all the value. All these bundles are trying to do is to get players to make that first purchase, and once a player spends for the first time it is easier to get them to make a second. Even with the $5 battle pass (there is a more expensive one) I didn’t really see much of a difference. I managed to get a couple low star gems, and some materials for gear enhancement. There are even more places to spend money than what I said so far. Item rewards for every 5 levels, additional bundles, battle pass levels, monthly subscription, skins, additional currency, so on and so on. Oh and every purchase affects only ONE character.

    At this point I think my time with Diablo Immortal is done. I play mobile games as a F2P player outside of spending Google Rewards, and this game is definitely not F2P friendly after level 60. I would suggest that players avoid this game, but if you do play just stop at level 60. If you are really craving some Diablo gameplay just go play Diablo 3. Even with its great gameplay I have to give Diablo Immortal a 2 out of 10 because of its monetization.    … Expand

    Predatory micro-transactions aside, the game is basically a dumbed-down version of Diablo III. It's very, very bad aside from some decent VA work. Do not spend time or money on this.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
