May 15, 2012Bad enough that they added crippling online only DRM to a single-player game, worse that the DRM doesn't even work.
Rating of 0 because if you purchase this game at the time of writing it simply doesn't work in any form. -
May 15, 2012Trying to log in for 12 hours now... it is just not working. I mean its a single player only game, and they know how much copies are reserved, they could have easily avoided it. And worst case, while diablo 3 is being raped on login, you can't log in WoW neither. Thanks for combining 2 services into 1 , so then both are not working

May 15, 2012an absolute shambles of a release, even having hosted an open beta weekend to ascertain concurrency and stress testing of servers Blizzard and Activision completely dropped the ball on this one. Millions of people can't play the game on release. Disgraceful, do not buy!

May 15, 2012Amazing game! Sure, the wait was brutal, but once I got on, I was blown away! Anyone saying that they've beat it in 4-6 hours is trolling you. Same thing goes for people saying it's too easy. They have no concept of the Hell, Nightmare, and Inferno difficulties. Sure, the game is easy when it's on easy mode. My only regret is that I had to work today (it was also a tad too expensive for my taste).

May 15, 2012Nothing but an over priced copy of Torchlight but with less freedom to create your character as you desire. Save yourself $40 USD and get Torchlight 2 . All in all this is a buyer beware product and I am ashamed to admit I spent money on this game.

May 15, 2012I know the connection issues and "37 error" are sucks. But Blizzard is working on it too now. Let's just give them some times. The Game is really good and satisfying though.
Just waiting for 1 or 2 days to play this amazing game will worth it. -
May 15, 2012Pre-Ordered just to sit through repeated denials of login, game errors, and general letdown.
Aww, Bliz. You got me again. I should have known better. -

May 15, 2012This is the most ridiculous thing ever. I am unable to get past the f*cking login screen as I am being plagued with errors. Blizzard you knew this was going to happen, the same thing happened at the beta yet you did NOTHING to try and stop the same thing happening at launch. I miss the good old days of Diablo 2 when I didnt have to logon to a f*cking server to play the single player campaign :/

May 15, 2012Amazing game, very fun gameplay, beautiful graphics and much more. The only downside is the login errors, but they are only temporary since the game just launched, something many people here fail to understand.

May 15, 2012Apart from the awful launch and connection issues, the game is really nothing special. Graphically average, and clickfest gameplay. It does nothing better than Diablo 2 (they even removed all character customization while levelling). Very repetitive and generally disappointing.

May 15, 2012Amazing game! Played for hours and hours with some new found friends. The release was rough as all get out, but the game is well worth it all. Sure, copypasta for an hour and a half is never fun but the slaying of demons for 8 straight hours sure is!

May 15, 2012The game is unplayable at the moment, I can't connect due to various log in errors. I understand these things happen but it makes a mockery of the beta/server stress test weekends which were presumably to prevent this exact thing happening.

May 15, 2012Awsome game! Launch has been a little rough but when I got into the game (about 2 hours later) and started playing I simply counldn't put it down. Might not deserve a 10 but someone needs to weigh up against all these butthurt nerds.
-
May 15, 2012Yes, the launch was a little shaky at 3am, and yes, that should have been fixed. But now that the game is running smoothly, it is every bit as enjoyable as the older entries in the series. A delightful dungeon crawl.

May 15, 2012Huge disappointment. The game is boring like hell. It's not diablo, it's a casual game like Actimoney knows how to make... Blizzard is definitively dead. Really sad.

May 15, 2012WTF is this game? Buggy and with only 5 simple clases? The most Simple and cheap MMO and RPG have more than 10, and a little bunch of skills? What kind of joke is this? This Game FAIL MISSERABLY, all others diablo are superior, only graphics are distintive. And Bugs! I cant connect, what is this?? Blizzards only want money from our pockets.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
