Great Game! Great animation/sound/music/grahpics. Great DANTE! Only pity that game is easier then DMC 4, but it's doesn't matter if you're true fan like me. Will hope DMC6 will be sooner then 10 years :D

The game looks gorgeous, the gameplay is really fun, varied and has a nice pacing, the story is straight forward (which is not a bad thing) and the characters are super charismatic and entertaining. The only thing I dislike are the environments, they don't detract from the game but they could have made it perfect.

that's what the fans wanted in 2013, not the stupid restart of the series. A great combat system, not a chopped version like in DmC, and a great soundtrack, not like in a stupid restart. pull my devil trigger bite into memory for a long time.

The story is amazing and the relationship between Dante, Nero and the mysterious V (with a secret revealed later in the game) is both deep and engaging. The family feels is really what made the game stand out to me, along with the amazing music and cut scenes - some of them, like the intro with Nero, are so iconic that they have easily become some of my favorites. I can not recommend this game enough!!

Devil May Cry is back in its full glory. It's not only one of the best character action games I've ever played in terms of combat, pacing and soundtrack, but it's also a love-letter to the series as a whole, full of heart and easter eggs. If you even remotely enjoy DMC or games in this genre, this one is a must have!

It is very, VERY rare that a game is able to out shine it's predecessors, especially a game like DMC which has a game base spanning back to the PS2 days, but this in my opinion is the best in the series so far. The combat is slick, the story is great, Dante is exactly how you expect Dante to be years after DMC 3/4, there is just no aspect of the game that hasn't been improved on.

Capcom are doing a great job at the moment with both their remakes (Resi 2) and new games (this). The game is very well optimised on PC, no signs of a generic "PC port" and actually feels like they put in effort in for the PC community.

Fans of the series will feel right at home, new players may be a little confused at first, but I am sure YouTube by now has a "everything you need to know before playing DMC5" or something to catch you right up.

All in all I highly recommend the game to anyone who is a fan of the genre, this is definitely going to be a GOTY contender for 2019.

A must-have if you enjoy character action, the game feels incredible and the skill ceiling is so high. The adrenaline rush of chasing that SSS rating is unmatched, paired with amazing life-like visuals thanks to the RE Engine and a soundtrack that you will never get out of your head.

Devil Trigger slaps so hard, and may be the best song ever made.

Awesome story. Fun characters. Smooth gameplay. Some of the best graphics you can find, with some models incredibly detailed. Combat can be very easy on lower difficulties so I suggest the higher ones.

I am impressed by the story it has a lot of elements from the old games they bring fourth and built on it doesn't feel like it's just using the old mechanics to make something the same it feels like a springboard to something new and I really liked it and the game make me feel a lot about the characters in The later half.

The game looks beautiful, but sadly they go into a giant tree in the later half of the game and the colors gets a bit borrowing and especially Dante's jackets. It is not a lot red. It's more like a really dark red which is just sad.

Capcom's REngine has done a beautiful job bringing the characters and the setting into the current gen, and I think looks even better than many if not most other AAA titles at this time.
The soundtrack departs a bit from the metal we're used to from 1-3, and adds a bit more of a pop-ish tone, which caught me off guard but does ultimately work and ends up making it very catchy.

5 improves GREATLY upon 4 by restoring Dante and the Sparda family story to the forefront of the main plot, and ironed out a lot of my major gripes about Nero as a character, namely his somewhat whiney and borderline angsty personality. He seems to get a lot more close to how Dante was in DMC3, though not quite as flippant, which is fine, he is his own character.

Like with every DMC proper title this game is easy to learn but difficult to master. The first two difficulties are fine for beginners and/or casual play, then the more experienced/skilled can enjoy more challenge with the later difficulties, which really do start living up to their names (Dante must Die/Hell and Hell).

The multiplayer element, which is totally new to the series with this title, is thankfully not in your face. There's fairly minimal interaction with other players, you may see them from across the level, or in one particular mission very briefly fight alongside them, or you can turn this feature off entirely if you just want a pure solo experience. Though you will miss out on some chances for gold orbs if you do that, which can be useful.

My only complaint is a personal one and really has no impact on the value of the game, so I won't reflect it in my score. My one complaint is that one particular character does not get enough screen/story time for my liking. The way he was used was executed well and is properly paced for the story, but I just didn't get enough of him. Hopefully more will be added as the game ages, maybe DLC including this character if 5 follows any of previous game trends. *fingers crossed*

Devil May Cry 5, while seemingly shallow on the surface, conceals its greatest features and true experience for only the dedicated to discover. The satisfaction of finally overcoming a block in the game that held you back for so long is where the real experience lies, and the game demands that you not be weak of heart to reach it. Put in the time and effort that the developers expect of their fans and you’ll truly be able to reap the rewards and see DMC5 for what it is; a truly off the wall, batshit insane romp through the best the genre has to offer.

The culmination of the franchise and so much more. Capcom is still putting up the pressure one notch above, with new mechanics, a renewed gameplay, and a replayability that will make you start the game a second time without losing your smile. The story has matured and a good balance has been found with its three destinies that intersect over the course of the missions, until its apocalyptic final. Only big downside in a game that requires precision in its highest difficulty levels: the camera problems and the targeting system.
