    Not much to say. As a great fan of the series this game is just awesome. The characters and the gameplay are Amazing, the story is quite good and the graphic is badass. Might not be as good as dmc3, but still a fantastic game.

    One of my favorite game franchise out there. DMC 5 has the best gameplay in the series, but i still prefer dmc 3 in terms of story.

    A true successor to DMC 3 :) great and satisfying combat, great soundtracks, cool story, very cool bosses, beautiful graphics and very good optimization on PC. This is literally DMC 3 on steroids! 10/10 for me :)

The amazing combat and action that this gaming series is famous for is back and better than ever. DMC5 is such an amazing game with such a great story, beautiful graphics, awesome characters and fun gameplay. I held off so long only because I grew off of hack and slash type games and I came back with a bang and this was it. DMC reboot was a disgrace. This on the other hand? Man you have to pick it up whenever you get the chance. It's easily worth your money.

    Why did I give it a 9 out of 10 though?
    Well it's simple. It needs more Vergil and I don't like V's sandals. Other than that it's something I'll never forget.    … Expand

    It's just a great sequel to an action game franchise that improves and expands on the formula. Nothing is ground breaking or out of this world but Its quality combat and core fighting mechanics make this a great iteration of Devil May Cry. The story is kinda campy, over the top and totally capcom,but it's still a great time. However, the camera needs more work. Devil may cry 4 had multiple camera modes and i'd like to see a return of those. No 21:9 or arbitrary resolution support. Some more graphical options would be really appreciated too. The coop sections are really cool but only 2 missions really use that feature and it's impossible to train coop combos reliably. More levels would be my priority after Bloody Palace and more playable characters.

    There's no cancerous walking segment or tons of cutscenes to screw your pace over BUT i would like some missions to have faster checkpoints and reload times. Mission 19 and 20 shouldn't have a checkpoint option. And it shouldn't have the cutscene replay if you select restart mission. Other stuff also appreciated would be native PS4 Controller support on PC, like Yakuza has so far. I would also like the void to be a bit more refined. i would recommend the team to look at trainers available for previous games to see what players really want to use.

    One huge bug that has cropped up is that force quits or game crashes corrupts and deletes your saves, including all your golden orbs from logins and stylish appraisals. This is a huge bug that made me replay the campaign 2 more times. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

    Bloody Palace will be out April 1st so let's see if that's any good.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Capcom, you've outdone yourselves. Ok first off, this is a TRUE sequel and it isn't bad like a certain reboot, looking at you Ninja Theory.

    Well jokes aside, this is one of, if not the, best entry in the Devil May Cry series. The story is excellent, characters just feel right, the combat system is smooth. There really isn't much to complain on this game. The only thing I personally would nitpick on is Vergil's facial structure, he looks a little derpy and the dubstep music. But even so, this is not just a game, it feels like true fan-service from Capcom. The dubstep music is only used for combat with Nero, BUT if you feel like you want an old soundtrack from the older dmc games, then you can do just that.

    Devil May Cry 5 offers a new way to play Nero with a mechanical arm he loses early on in the game and at first i wasn't convinced but during mid-game i was kind of digging it to be honest. All the arms have different abilities and ultimates and varies the gameplay.

    At first I was a bit concerned about how Capcom was going to handle the playable characters in a way that feels natural, but they happily surprised me.

    Verdict & TL-DR:

    Graphics: 10/10
    Gameplay: 9,5/10
    Story: 10/10
    Characters: 9/10
    Music: 9/10

    This is the long awaited and theorized DMC game that all the fans have gotten and it lived up to the hype, Graphics are the best they've ever been in DMC without even having a big impact on performance all thanks to the RE Engine. Gameplay was even better that I thought it would be, the story was fantastic, the characters felt right and although i didn't like the dubstep battle music, there was an option to change that and the soundtracks were epic.

    Devil May Cry is back with gorgeous visuals, gameplay that is incredibly satisfying and an interesting story with distinct likeable characters. The PC port is excellent and this game is a necessity for anyone who is craving some hack n slash fun.

    Amazing Graphics, Soundtrack & Story

    Gameplay is just as brilliant I have never played earlier instalments.
    players get to play as three characters: Nero, V and of course Dante. Each of them has their own unique powers i like to play v the most myself.

    it is amazing, i really enjoyed it 9/10.

    I cant think the last hack and slash game i had so much fun since God of war 3 . If you expect a big its a devil may cry game . Your not really here for a story that much your here to kick ass and enjoy some some amazing anime moment of your life .

    One gripe I do have is that the level design is very linear and has little to explore which is in somewhat stark contrast with previous games.     All the playable characters were super fun and had unique playstyles. V is the only new playable character and his playstyle is very different from anything we have seen in the series.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing game. Gorgeous graphics, exciting OST, fluid combat mechanics and kind of unlimited(?) combo potentials. Have always been a fan of the DMC series. Although I am not very skillful, I always enjoy spending time hack and slash my way to infinite devil trigger mode, and for all achievements in later games in the series. The reason I marked it down by 1 is because I am a little bit unsatisfied with the weapons/combat, characters and story. Despite all the complains in the below, I am still gonna go for DMC6 in the future lolololol.

    Weapons/Combat(Nero):
    Interesting twist with the devil breakers. Is it just me or is the game constantly giving out mega busters? I had like 8 of them in stock after one play through while the others have like 2-3. I broke devil breakers from time to time for more stylish points but it seems to me that capcom is dishing out a lot of mega busters for me .... Anyway, the skill set of Nero did not change much and I still suck at Max act/Exceed. Just Nero being Nero.

    Weapons/combat(Dante):
    I have always loved seeing Dante showing off/trying out his newly obtained weapon. In DMC5, 2 new melee weapons? Come on. Nunchuck is not even that new coz it appeared in DMC3. I like the Bruce Lee sound Dante is making tho. The motorbike is a slow (grinding?) weapon. Slow weapon is just not my type. It's a hack and slash game. What do you expect? If it is a slow weapon, I would like it to be impactful like the gauntlets. Not the mention the Rebellion/Sparda evolved into Devil Sword Dante fked up the Sowrdmaster move set. Of course it is stronger this way, I can land extra hits with O/B while doing my normal combos. But the home run move is gone which made me sad. Luckily I can change back to Rebellion after endgame.
    For ranged weapons, only the usual guns without weird **** like Pandora's box? That just made me reluctant to upgrade Gunslinger. Maybe because Pandora's box was too OP? But I do think Dr. Faust
    is a nice idea for players to farm red orbs more easily.
    And I think Royalguard is the most OP style now, just because of the royal revenge. Vergil dodges your SM combo but got wrecked by RG.

    Weapons/combat(V):
    For me, this is the most boring character. Interesting idea of adding different play style. Need to hold the controller in a weird way for micromanaging Shadow and Griffin, lock on and read a book from afar. Not the most comforting gaming experience for my right hand. Going in for last hits occasionally. Can easily get high stylish points compare with other 2 characters coz low risk of being hit. The battles are so far away that I can't really feel it. Playing as V is like a subject that you are doing well naturally but you have no interest in it.

    Characters:
    DMC series has been trying to make characters looks badass. Mostly by main characters taunting bosses before boss fights, inhuman/stylish combats moves against enemies during cut scenes, etc. But I think DMC5 has gone a bit too much for over emphasizing "coolness" in places where characters could be acting normally. The whole poetry reading from V is getting on my nerves. I don't know whether there is a deeper meaning to this but I certainly think he is more like "acting cool" than "being cool".
    On the other hand, the characters grew old in a way that is not very pleasing. I mean you can see them growing from teens/young adults in DMC3 to mature adults in DMC4, especially Dante, Vergil and Lady. In DMC5, Dante went from playful adult to a drunk street beggar look. Vergil was a handsome man (no homo) and now he is like a grumpy, gloomy bastard. I guess Lady is kinda alright. Trish was hot from DMC1-4 but she is looking like an aunt right now.... And where the fk is Kyrie? Not in a single fking cut scene? Only voice during phone calls? What the fk is wrong with you game designers? Budget cut of sth? And why is Nico suddenly popping up out of nowhere?

    Story:
    Didn't explain how Vergil got back from hell. How the hell did Vergil had a son Nero? Like Dante said, it's kinda expected when Nero and Yamato reacted in DMC4. But no explanations of what was going on in hell with Vergil? Did he fked a succubus or sth so Nero is like 75% demon and stronger than him? Nero just awaken his potential right before final boss fight with will power? Not getting beaten up and end up in a bad situation with sword pierces through chest? So the "apple" just fixed Vergil? He was like crippling and falling apart, he separated himself, causing big ass troubles, ate an apple, recombine, then he is good to go. What happens to the supreme power from apple that made Mundus the king of hell? All in all, Vergil just life stealing from normal humans for healing? And Dante decided to forgive him at the end because Vergil is not taking over the world? Not that I really mind the somewhat typical/lame story lines and endings from all DMC games. I am just here for some hack and slash. But there are just a lot of things unexplained.    … Expand

    Dmc 5 is the best in the entire franchise in my opinion. The art style is quite unique and the combat use all the good things that make so great DMC...
    You can use 3 characters each one with unquiet move stets and also you can upgrade in the "skills tree" that the game have. May be the ost is not the best but... works.

    DMC 5 was built using the RE Engine from Resident Evil 7 and this game looks better than those two previous RE games. Facial animations look real with huge detail, the lighting made the game looks real at times and the level design is amazing, maybe a little bit linear but amazing.
    I did like the story, even that i think it made reference to the previous games that i haven't played... I will eventually.
    But combat was a little bit... well... meh... it wasn't bad, but is not perfect either. In the game the player will be switching between Dante, Nero and V, each character has their unique and different combat style and upgrades that can be done with red orbs that the player will found through the level,back at the combat, at the moment you get use to play as one character the game forces you to play as another and now you most adapt to that character combat style, so... i never fell 100% comfortable with this combat style switch.
    Now moving quickly to the performance... woow!!!! Using a GTX 1080 Ti this game runs amazingly smooth with no fps drops what so ever without using too much GPU and CPU usage
    Aside from that DMC 5 is an amazing game that is worth your time.    … Expand

    A masterclass in character action games with an extremely satisfying and complex combat system which never gets repetitive (besides maybe the new character V who I'm not too big a fan of). Overall, it's still a must play if you're into action games, though there may be a learning curve before you get invested in the combat.

    I did play DmC, the reboot, and I didn't felt it was compelling enough to play a lot more than I did, as an action hack and slash game it did its job, yeah, quite decently, although the rest of the game, coming from my limited knowledge of the DMC lore...I didn't feel it so I can only imagine that the proper DMC fans didn't, either.

    But well, I do enjoy these type of games with really good character based combat that is not just mashing buttons nonstop, and has some thought behind it. And man, does DMC 5 has that and the some more, yeah, it does. This game's combat is Amazing, with a capital A indeed. The more you play, the deepest you go into tapping your long dwelling skills dormant inside, that's for sure, there's just so much stuff to do, combine, and improvise, and all of this in split of a second, fast, action packed moments. Yeah, I like games that put my reflexes to the test, that's for sure, as an old school shooter player, that's my jam for sure, so when it comes to action combat games like this, I feel at home here and I can feel my skills and understanding of the game's mechanics growing more and more every moment. That's when you know you're playing a great game right there, among other things.

    On the PC settings / "port" department well, it's the RE Engine, it's incredible what this engine can do, with its Physically Based Rendering (PBR), everything looks quite realistic and the character models, specially, are incredible, more so in cut scenes of course.

    My only small complaint about the PC version is that they implemented mouse and keyboard support, but it feels incomplete...well because it is. Moving the camera with the mouse is well done, I'd say even better than with a gamepad, of course, it's a mouse, it provides more freedom, but when it comes to keyboard controls...meh, some keys cannot be used, like TAB or Left Shift, or most of the right hand side part of the keyboard (oh yeah, I said right hand side...because I'm left handed, and I use that area a LOT). So, being left handed it's quite difficult to use any decent setup, because only the arrow keys can be mapped, not any surrounding keys, and not the Numpad, which according to the keymap menu....it's like it doesn't even exist. That feels poorly done, and I was expecting better coming from the nice PC controls RE 2 Remake has, or even RE 7. Maybe a patch could improve this, but I'm just playing with my trusty Dualshock 4, which is good enough of course.

    Also, it feels like the PC version is being held back a little bit by console parity, since many of the graphic settings (those set to "Variable") will only be active in cut scenes, and not in the actual gameplay. This makes the game run even better than RE 2 or 7, sure, but was it really necessary on the PC? I don't think so, and it should've been an OPTION for the player to choose from. Hopefully a patch can make this right too, so we can have an even better looking experience which, don't get me wrong, it already looks incredible, and the fluidity of the combat and the game in general really shows.

    All in all...another great hit by Capcom, this is just amazing how right after the GOTY contender that was RE 2 back in January, we now get another one here with DMC 5. Capcom is on a roll here, and I say keep 'em coming!! We need more Capcom franchises brought back on the RE Engine, this has so much potential, for any platform be it console or PC.

    Very, very solid 9/10, doesn't get the perfect score only because the poor mouse and keyboard controls: yes, this is better with a gamepad, that doesn't mean a PC game should have sub par options for the other input method, it could've been better, but well, it's just that, nothing more.

    Game is basically about searching and using combination of fighting techniques. If combos are successfully delivered, you are rewarded with more bonus points and those points u spent later to unlock more fighting techniques. And thats whole point of game, searching for best combo.

    Its console type of game and it is fast, and super fan. I was lacking some kind of atmosphere, but its more in fun and entertainment field than immersive type of game.

    In the beginning its rather slower if you as me never played game like that so its 8/10, but later game is 9/10. If you know you like those type of games, you can go even for 10, as it has replay value and game is counting on rising difficulty for next playthrough.

    Its really good game and if you never played game like, give a try, its really good.

    The controls are just beautiful, pretty responsive, and all combos/special moves are really satisfying to pull off, i even thought that playing with keyboard felt great (most action games like this leave keyboard as an afterthought and focus on improving controls with normal Playstation, Generic USB or XBOX controllers) and i love the fact that this game has full support for switch pro controller (which in my opinion is one of the best controllers ever made).

    The game runs at a stable 60+ FPS with high settings & 720p on an outdated Intel I5 & a Nvidia GTX 1050, which means almost every current computer can run the game at a stable framerate on lower settings.

    The only things that bring the game down for me are the lack of turbo mode, Denuvo and the fact that we don't play as the new character "V" that much.

    all in all one of the best, if not the best Devil May Cry games.    … Expand

    Amazing gameplay and music. My only gripe is that the game wasn't that long and doesn't make a ton of sense, and that there was a bit of confusing amount of bonus purchase content. I'd like to receive the whole game please. It's definitely one of the best DMC games

    The best thing we could have got as a sequel to dmc 4. Combat is so amazing here and the story is amazing little bit cringy sometimes but its all you would expect from devil may cry, its edgy, over the top and it looks amazing as well.

    Mano só não é 10 por causa da missão 8 e 12, pq fazer uma missão tão longa e ainda colocar duas boss fight seguidas? Sendo que o nero da pouquíssimo dano se você não acerta o exceed toda hora tirando isso tudo perfeito, destaque pros braço do nero e a trilha sonora muito bom esses dois.

    Graphics are fantastic, gameplay is solid and entertaining, unleashing crazy combos is great to watch. Story is pretty decent too. Dante, Nero and V were all fairly interesting characters, and the ending was great imo. Wish the story was a bit longer and then this would have easily gotten a 10/10 (my only gripe with RE2 as well).

    Out of the 6 Devil May Cry games, I believe that this one has the best game play. The new character designs for Dante and Virgil is also pretty good in my opinion. The new weapons for Dante were especially fun to use.

I am amazed by this game even though I haven't been with the series for very long. That being said to understand a lot of things happening within the story it is better to know what happend in previous parts as the story of 5 builds of off them directly. That however didn't deminish my enjoyment of the gameplay which is absolutely fantastic. Different characters have extremly unique kits which completely change how you play. They are however very hard to master but if you do manage that you'll be rewarded with insanely satisfying combat that. The game is best described as easy to learn, hard to master and I think it makes it really good for both casual players who can just enjoy the simple combos and the story and people who want to put the time in and really learn how to play the game at it's highest level of skill. The writing is very cartoonish. All characters act very cheesy and while it may be strange to some in my opinion it very much fits the game and sidetracks the story which is very basic. Because the focus is on characters and their interactions the game has many memorable moments and honestly this game really made me laugh in certain moments. It is simply genius and I can't stand how great DMC5 in all of it's aspects. I think the game is awesome and definitely worth a try at least but it is a game made for a specific audience therefore I can totally see why someone wouldn't like it as much as I did. It's not for everyone but for the people which it works it is a great game worth playing through it at least once.… Expand

    This is one of the best Devil may cry games, comparable only with Devil may cry 3. It features 3 characters wich you can use to play and an additional 5$ DLC if you want to play as Vergil. Every character is really enjoyable and fun. The story is really great. The worst thing about this game is one of the characters, V which isn't really fun to play in my opinion.

Excellent sound and music, For adult gamers the story is cheesy and many ridiculous things happen but it was never meant to be a serious game and it's made mostly for teenagers after all. He's the cocky bastard I'm familiar with and it's a breath of fresh air when his glorious smugness hits the screen. Nero was fine, but V was cringey. I kinda get that's the point, but even playing as V was tedious. The biggest shortcoming of its narrative structure, which leaps forward and backward in time, is that it was hard to judge how far into the game I actually was. There were many moments earlier in the game where I thought it was already nearing its end and, at the literal end of the game, I thought there was still a final act waiting. All the pieces for an outrageous climax were set, but then the credits rolled. It's a surprisingly wholesome ending, but it feels somewhat incomplete.

    As far as gameplay is concerned, I think it's good but there are lots of shortcomings that I have gripes with. Firstly, the good; the character variety is cool— it keeps the combat from becoming too repetitive. I hated playing as V, but I appreciate the effort that went into creating and balancing him. Regardless, whenever there was the option I'd always choose Dante, then Nero if Dante wasn't available. My biggest issue was with dodging. It's really annoying that you have to hold RB/R1 and then press A/X to dodge. Even when you think you're doing it, sometimes your character will end up jumping instead because you're not moving the toggle-stick in the correct direction. Another reason I preferred playing as Dante is because one of his Styles allows you to dash around freely with the push of a single button, instead of multiple.

    The next biggest shortcoming was the abundance of cutscenes interrupting the flow of gameplay. Then there are also the frequent load screens, but the game's beautiful graphics are worth it. The only time the load screens were cumbersome was whenever I wanted to go to the Customization Shop. I get the enticement of seeing Nico lounging about, but I honestly would have preferred a simple menu screen so I could get back to the game faster.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In many ways this game perfects what is great about DMC but it also takes a few steps back in some areas.

    The graphics has obviously received a technical boost since DMC4. The art style has changed noticeably as well. While I think I prefer the more stylized look of earlier games, the more realistic look did not bother me.

    This time around Dante & Nero has a huge arsenal of fun moves to explore. The new arm system adds a whole new dimension to Nero whom I found a tad lacking in the previous instalment, then of course the big surprise at the end further expands his capabilities.

    Dante as usual have several styles, devil arms and guns at his disposal making for a seemingly endless possibilities of combinations.

    V on the other hand contrasts the other two with a playstyle that conflicts with what makes DMC a fun brawler. Sadly for me, it was always a downer when a mission was "wasted" on him.

    The environments started out very detailed and immersive while running around the city. As the game progressed and you ventured through ruins and the tree it became visibly less polished and more repetitive. I found the areas from earlier installments much more memorable and iconic compared to the new ones.

    The bosses are ranging from okay to good. The most fun ones are were you are constantly engaged in fast close combat(ex: Cavaliere Angelo) while others have a repetitive gimmick to them(ex: Gilgamesh). We've yet seen a really solid boss fight since Credo(DMC4).

    Lastly, I am a bit disappointed with Vergil taking the big baddie throne once more. We already did that and we did it better in DMC3.

    La historia es tan floja que lo único disfrutable de sus escenas es disfrutar de su espectacularidad gráfica.

    RE Engine strikes again, mixing incredible visuals with flawless performance. The visuals, performance, gameplay and audio were all great, the only real negative were the characters. I found V insufferable and Nico very annoying, her accent and personality just grated on me. Gorgeous graphics, exciting OST, fluid combat mechanics and kind of unlimited(?) combo potentials. Have always been a fan of the DMC series. Although I am not very skillful, I always enjoy spending time hack and slash my way to infinite devil trigger mode, and for all achievements in later games in the series. The reason I marked it down by 1 is because I am a little bit unsatisfied with the weapons/combat, characters and story. Despite all the complains in the below, I am still gonna go for DMC6 in the future lolololol.… Expand

    Everything beautiful in this game from the combat to the design to the main menu to the soundtracks. Lots of customization to your character and you can even customize the music that are going to be played in certain situation how cool is that.

    The negatives about this game is that there are not much to its world design nor atmosphere variations. I wish the chapters were more different in design and had more variety like different weather and maybe forests etc. Also the game is super liner just straight forward. It could have done it better with a bit bigger areas to walk around and explore a bit.

    All in all WELL DONE! Waiting for more games from you Capcom hope you keep the quality gaming alive!    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Devil May Cry Continues... This sentiment makes me giddy with joy as a gamer.

    Setting aside the character design aesthetics of DMC:Dmc it was a competent game, but one that lacked heart and soul of everything that made DMC series into what it was.
    With this entry all is forgiven and forgotten as this is An Absolute Blast to play and even more since it reminds me of the finger hurting combo/switching techniques required to get the Smoking Sexy Style that gave DMC 3 it's legendary status.
    Special shout out to Nico for feeling right at home in the crazy world of DMC hotties.

    I had a full on joyous experience playing through all the protagonist added with nostalgic feelings from DMC 1, DMC 3&4. Even though the story is not as deep, but it has never been a focal point in any from this series.
    The game play is near flawless and the weapon switching and style switching mechanics were fun once you crossed the minor learning curve. Each of the three protagonists have a unique play style of their own which served to keep it fresh and challenging to achieve the SSS ratings.

    Minor gripes of course exist. Would have liked Dante to be more playable and would have also enjoyed if Vergil Returning was not the whole and sole reason for this game to exist. But I am happy none the less since future games in the series have potential for much more varied story lines. Also would have loved for Trish and Lady to have a more significant role, but this can be rectified in a sequel as well.

    If u ever loved Dante's Cocky one liners or fell in love with Dante rocking out with Nevan in DMC 3 or wanted to slap Nero so he could be more cooler like his Dad in DMC 4; You will love the experience this game provides you and if you are fan of the Series I can bet this will bring back all the good feels.
    If you are not it is also a good place as a starting point to get a feel of what this series is like.

The reasons this is only a 8/10 for me is: bad difficulty curve, awkward camera control (if you try to adjust the camera both vertically and horizontally at the same time it just does't get adjusted to where you want it), the character V isn't that funBeautiful cutscenes and graphics, good combat and soundtracks.     I liked it, it's a good game and one of the most successful graphical sections to date, a good and fun game and a story that is not perfect, but surely is a good one. I still have to say that i expected more of the narrative section, but it's a game that you must play for sure.

    Upgrade system is a bit wonky and broad, which is a caliber you'd expect from a DMC game. Controls do feel a bit overcrowded at times, but are trumped by a sheer pleasure from landing a blow from any of offered abilities from your arsenal.

    Story itself is sub-par when compared to the rest of the game, but still good and interesting even though the ending didn't rise up to the expectations. But I do get they have to plan these things out openly considering it's a strong franchise with a dedicated fan-base.

    Among the sea of lack-luster and disappointing titles. This is a game I will surely replay.    … Expand

    The gameplay feel so smooth and if u have skill for smashing around, you will feel the music

    卡普空的动作质量首先就是有保障的，目前一个周目下来爽就完事了，而且动作系统还有很多可以深度研究的东西，这方面以后再去练习。剧情一般，游戏其他方面也不突出，应该全部的亮点只有动作系统了，算是相当看人偏好吧

    This game is extremely overrated. The levels are extremely linear and there is no exploration whatsoever. There is no puzzle solving or anything like that, only progress through these linear levels with a combat encounter every few meters.

    The plot is something an 8 year old would come up. There isn't much story at all, but no big deal, this is an action game. Enemy AI is pretty bad. I started on human (easy) difficulty and enemies were basically just dancing around me so I increased to devil hunter (normal) and the enemies did the same dance, with more HP. After finishing the game, I    It's a good game but not amazing.

    The plot is something an 8 year old would come up. There isn't much story at all, but no big deal, this is an action game.

    Enemy AI is pretty bad. I started on human (easy) difficulty and enemies were basically just dancing around me so I increased to devil hunter (normal) and the enemies did the same dance, with more HP. After finishing the game, I started son of Sparda (hard) and it was only slightly more difficult. Some dancing enemies are replaced with enemies that actually attack you, everybody has more HP and they do more damage, but it wasn't very challenging.

    The game seems rushed, it has 20 missions, you get 1 weapon for Dante on mission 18 and 19 which seems waaay too late, since mission 20 is just a boss fight. On mission 18 you fight a monster you've already fought in DMC 3 or 4, and you get the same weapon.

    Gameplay for Dante is very fun, Nero is so so due to his lack of primary weapons (1 gun + 1 sword + many special abilities) and V is just very uninspiring button mashing until the enemy dies.

    Overall, a bit too short, very repetitive, bosses without much personality and fun to play, but not incredible. Currently it's rated 9.0 which seems too high.    … Expand

    Devil May Cry 5, while seemingly shallow on the surface, conceals its greatest features and true experience for only the dedicated to discover. The satisfaction of finally overcoming a block in the game that held you back for so long is where the real experience lies, and the game demands that you not be weak of heart to reach it. Put in the time and effort that the developers expect of their fans and you’ll truly be able to reap the rewards and see DMC5 for what it is; a truly off the wall, batshit insane romp through the best the genre has to offer.

    The culmination of the franchise and so much more. Capcom is still putting up the pressure one notch above, with new mechanics, a renewed gameplay, and a replayability that will make you start the game a second time without losing your smile. The story has matured and a good balance has been found with its three destinies that intersect over the course of the missions, until its apocalyptic final. Only big downside in a game that requires precision in its highest difficulty levels: the camera problems and the targeting system.
