Feb 25, 2016A one note experience, Devil Daggers is the sort of thing you either love or hate. Less skilled players will find themselves blasting the same three or four enemies over and over and over again. It's intense and stylish, but also singular and highly repetitive. It's fun for a while, but it's also the style of game I played to death twenty years ago.

Aug 5, 2016Lol... This kind of games reveal how lost some reviewers are with indie games.
Not all indie games are good, and this is a good example.
If this game had been released in the Doom/Heretic years, wouldnt have drawn a single drop of attention.
In short, retro graphics and high difficulty dont make a good game by themselves. -

Mar 9, 2016I started this game with a "same old retro game" attitude, than I begun a match...dead! next Dead! Next Dead! NEXT...DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!! WT@?#àò?!!??!? This Game is AWESOME!!!! And it gets you deeply because of the World List Climbing thing!...Who will last longer?...Just another match and I turn off...maybe! @.@''

Nov 7, 2017Wow this must be one of the weirdest shooters I have ever played
Its a retro hell shooter where you pretty much shoot devils in hell
The graphics are retro like i already said ,and I actually don't like retro graphics ,but in this game i didn't mind. The game was overall fun and is very cheap ,but is difficult ,short in terms of content but because you die all the time its worth its price -
Jun 28, 2021Devil Daggers knows exactly what it is (and more importantly what it isn't) and revels in it.
I would highly recommend Devil Daggers. -
Feb 25, 2016Very simple. Very addictive. Devil Daggers will keep you up at night hoping you don't fall too far down the leaderboards and will keep you coming back for more.

Mar 7, 2016addictive and simplecreated for the masochist a FPS game where you gonna hate yourself for playing and by far the closest virtual representation of the term butt-rape.
-
Feb 27, 2016It's a very simple system game and it's very addictive!! It's a game for hardcore gamers but usual gamers can try to and they will be able to win, maybe ( there is just one trophy and only one guy won it )!! So, I will surely play with it along time!!

Mar 10, 2016What I can say is It’s a very tight, completely realised, fun to play game with a fantastic unique dark art style and at the price of £3.99 I couldn’t recommend it more.
(I could, but I really want to get back to playing it)

Jun 5, 2016insanely difficult i recommend playing with maximum sensitivity and a good music playlist because i spent 21+ hours in 3 days and my best was 94 seconds difficult as hell! 10 out of 10 because their is not many games that are as difficult

Apr 29, 2018With only one arena and death coming quickly, you would think this game would get boring fast. However it is very addictive as it keeps making you want to beat your high score due to its great combat.

May 6, 2023A horrible experience.Totally unbalanced gameplay. Who gave that 83? There are 1000x better games has lower than 83 metacritic. (Serious Sam franchise, metal hellsinger...) Go play them, dont waste your time on this...
-
Jun 21, 2023The game is visually appealing and nothing else...
Shame as this could have been a gem like dusk had some effort been put into it. -
Nov 4, 2021super difficult mini game with no variety try to try, with a perfect aesthetic
-
Jul 11, 2023I loved it when he said, "It's Devil Daggersing time" and Devil Daggersed all over the place.

CD-ActionMay 30, 2016This might be the most suggestive vision of hell I’ve ever seen in a game, both repulsive and entrancing. [05/2016, p.69]
-
Edge MagazineMay 1, 2016Movement is smooth and fast, recalling the fluidity of seminal arena shooters such as Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament 2004. [May 2016, p.122]

Apr 28, 2016It’s not that deep, but it’s bizarrely engaging and fun.
