Mar 15, 2015The problem with many sequels for some series is that they look far too familiar and thus feel more of "expansion packs" instead of standalone copies; this game looks superior over the original game of Descent.

Jan 13, 2013One of the first PC games I ever played and still one of the best, even today for first person shooter - wish it could be re-released on Steam and would definitely pick it back up and re-live the fun. Soundtrack is great.

Oct 22, 2012I was five the first time I played Descent. Fifteen years later, I still play all three games. Descent II improved on the original, bringing new mines to explore, and more features to it's incredible multiplayer. Descent and Descent II are my two favorite video games, and probably always will be.

If you don't like Descent at least a little bit, make no mistake, there is something wrong with you. Descent II's huge replay value and absolutely insane network play should ensure its popularity for a long time.
-
The sequel has 30 new weapons, new enemy robots and 30 additional levels, but the overall effect is diminished by repetitive gameplay.

More of that great Descent action you've come to expect and won't disappoint! It you've been waiting for more new levels, enemies, and mission builder than this will be your nirvana.
