The original Delta Force was cutting edge at the time and while Xtreme is a bit of a mission pack, it’s cheap and offers excellent offline and online gaming for under fourty bucks.
-
DFX is designed for the casual gamer in mind and has a zero learning curve. You can pick up and play and have a blast for a MSRP of about 20 bucks. You gotta love that!
-
Shooting down a chopper with a rocket or launching a RPG right into a guy's chest just never gets old.
-
So if you're a shooter fan on a budget, Delta Force Xtreme isn't a bad way to go.
-
A budget title, and it plays like one. Every feature this game has to offer has been better implemented elsewhere.
-
Delta Force Xtreme's multiplayer isn't subtle or innovative and tends to suffer from lag and some crashes, but it's filled with exciting, over-the-top action.

PC GamerThis one will move a few units at Wal-Mart, but no more. [July 2005, p.69]
-
AceGamezSure, it's easy to pick up and play, the graphics and sound are just about passable and there's a decent range of weapons, but if I had gone out and bought it I'd feel somewhat cheated as I played the first mission, only to find that there's very little new here.
-
PC FormatPointless in the xtreme, unless you're interested in war game archaeoogy. [July 2005, p.97]
