Nov 6, 2024It may be a little hard at first, but DeathSprint 66 offers an extremely fast and kinetic approach to racing that really makes the most of its 3D space, making for a bloody good time.
-
Sep 18, 2024DeathSprint 66 throws you into a neon-cyberpunk world packed with fast-paced, chaotic races. The action is intense, though the lack of counterplay and a weak soundtrack might dampen the thrill. Still, fans of bloody, high-speed racing will find plenty of challenge and excitement to keep coming back.

Sep 13, 2024Challenging you to run around tracks filled with hazards such as laser beams and circular saws, DeathSprint 66 is like nothing else out there. Providing you're not squeamish, it provides hours of fun whether played alone or against others online.
-
Sep 12, 2024Pleasant, dense and detailed, Deathsprint 66 is a video game that knows how to run because it puts microtransactions before the real and tangible adventure towards the players. The first race happens through yourself, from start to finish, and makes it all the more enjoyable. The product allows you to be able to improve enormously as much as possible, then shaping everything else in each mode. However, you need a lot of skill, to know how to delight in a precise way.

Sep 12, 2024Despite some glitches here and there, which are likely a by-product of the speed, DeathSprint 66 is a lot of fun.
-
Sep 12, 2024DeathSprint 66 taps into a deeply disturbed corner of your imagination and begs you to die over and over again. You can't help but play along - it's that fun.

Oct 14, 2024Dying is part of DeathSprint 66. If you're not careful, a race can quickly become overwhelming. And that's exactly what makes it so appealing. The laps are incredibly exciting and leave you with sweaty hands afterwards. Good reactions are necessary here, and in more than a few races, I really felt my adrenaline kick in. Added to this are the different movement options and the over-the-top items. DeathSprint's fast-paced style of play encourages you to complete the race as perfectly as possible without dying (too many times) and cross the finish line as the winner. And although the game does a lot right, you can't ignore the elephant in the room. DeathSprint 66 is struggling with its player numbers and if Sumo Newcastle doesn't do something quickly, you'll soon be sprinting alone across the deadly race tracks. At least the multiplayer mode can be filled up with bots and the pure PvE mode is entertaining, but the most fun is still racing against real players.

Edge MagazineOct 3, 2024But as brutal as its buzz-saw races can be, they pale compared to the marketplace for online multiplayer into which it's throwing itself. [Issue#403, p.110]

Oct 2, 2024A good idea that unfortunately can't stand on its legs on its own. Funny in short bursts, but also unfathomably tied to online play despite the presence of bots.

Sep 12, 2024DeathSprint 66 could’ve been an amazing platformer, but it makes for a disappointing racing game.
