    DeathSpank is a true love-it-or-hate-it game through and through. If you appreciated the jokes in Ron Gilbert's earlier games (such as Monkey Island), and share an equal appreciation for Diablo-style games, it is worth a look.

    The PC version does offer controller play, which is always nice for a console gamer such as me. It even maps all the buttons for the 360 controller right away with no need of mapping them yourself.

    DeathSpank has stylish "paper cut-outs" as characters and scenery (which are especially impressive at a full HD resolution on PC), sharp dialogue, and nice music – it only needs thought-out gameplay to succeed. The game is hardly worth a second playthrough, and that's a death warrant for any aspiring Diablo clone.

    Deathspank is a comedic hack & slash RPG where you play as a justice-filled hero wearing a purple thong. Your quests will range from obtaining powerful artifacts that do nothing, buying spicy tacos for old men, and pretending to be an orphan's dad for an afternoon so that she'll willingly leave a demon-infested mine. It has a very unique art style that is quite refreshing and at times frustrating.

    There is a tutorial for just about everything but it isn't overbearing in the slightest. It's a game full of fourth-wall breaking, references, hilarious quests, and odd enemies.

This game has everything you may want from an RPG: unstoppable hero, mysterious red-headed beauty, the Artifact, powerful villain, terrible secret of the Purple Thongs, legendary blade and the ultimate horror - saber toothed donkey.
