Without doubt the best simulation of carrying stuff over long distances the medium has ever seen. Also a masterpiece of artful storytelling, social commentary and enigmatic characters.

Death Stranding 2 is everything I could have asked for in a sequel and more. Its incredible improvements, combined with insane visual quality and immersion, make it an outstanding experience from start to finish. Even if you were put off by the first game’s gameplay loop, the sequel’s more action-packed approach and more natural, engaging narrative make it feel fresh.

Months after arriving on PlayStation 5, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach comes to PC with slight visual upgrades and a solid adaptation. Delivering good performance even on older hardware, the title stands out for its Ray Tracing which, while providing more natural reflections and lighting, is not essential. Its biggest drawback is its launch price, which is excessively high in some markets.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on the PC brings the same epic story, fantastic gameplay, and unrivaled visuals. It’s quite an achievement for PC gaming.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach landed on a lot of “Best of” lists in 2025 for good reason. With jaw-dropping visuals and mechanics improved over the first game, it’s almost certainly Kojima’s best work to date. Nixxes PC port is a masterpiece of technical wizardry and makes Death Stranding 2: On the Beach worth replaying or experiencing for the first time.

Stepping back into Sam's shoes on PC is the best way to (re)discover Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Far more than the new content, it's the increased technical freedom that makes the difference in the experience: the unlocked frame rate, upscaling tools, and numerous graphical options further enhance an already extremely fascinating world.

Nixxes has released another great, well-optimized port—this time for one of Hideo Kojima’s most intriguing games. If you have a powerful PC, you’re in for a visual treat.

A captivatingly poetic and wildly unrestrained journey that this time also delivers more refined gameplay. The PC version is an excellent port with nothing to worry about.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach remains a divisive experience, true to Hideo Kojima’s artistic vision. Months after its release on PS5 and with its PC debut, the game continues to spark debate due to its unique approach: it does not aim for instant entertainment, but rather to evoke emotions through gameplay. Kojima’s latest work stands out for its successful blend of atmosphere, storytelling, symbolism and audiovisual impact, underpinned by the excellent Decima Engine. The PC port, developed by Nixxes Software, is technically excellent: smooth performance, support for modern technologies such as DLSS, FSR and Ray Tracing, as well as extensive graphical customisation. The gameplay remains deliberately slow-paced and serves the narrative. Compared to the first instalment, environmental variety and technical quality have improved, though without revolutionising the formula. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a unique and captivating experience, particularly for those who appreciate a contemplative pace and a strong authorial voice.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach continues to go against the tide of the AAA market. Abstract, cheesy, and at the same time creatively bold in its ideas, it remains not a game for everyone, but a very necessary one in an industry that feels stagnant in the realm of blockbusters. The PC version delivers highly customizable results for each player, with all the essential features in place. Even with the absence of some options, it stands as the definitive way to experience Sam’s journey — provided you have the hardware to support it.

The beloved game from the PS5 now on PC in its ultimate packaging, looking even better, however, more demanding then the package lets you realize.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC is a masterclass in optimization, proving that technical respect for the player remains paramount. On mid-range hardware like the RTX 4060 Ti, Nixxes has crafted a port that transcends its console origins through impeccable scaling and a stunning Ultrawide implementation. While VRAM limitations require a mindful approach to settings, the result is a rock-solid, cinematically superior experience. With its refined combat loop and breathtaking vistas, it stands as a new technical benchmark for the industry. A definitive, unassailable version of Kojima’s vision.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a sometimes frustrating yet always impressive adventure that expands on its predecessor in every way, and is another must-play experience for any fan of Hideo Kojima.

If you're playing with a controller and have a reasonably good PC, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the ultimate version right now. If you want to experience this classic and have the opportunity, this is definitely the version I'd recommend. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a masterpiece and as close to art as a game can get.

It plays a treat on my system, which is far from top of the line. Kojima Productions and Nixxes are known to be masters of optimisation when it comes to porting projects like this, and it might be one of its most accomplished efforts yet. It plays and looks incredible, so much so that I’m tempted to go on this epic and emotional journey all over again.

The PC version of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach maintains, and in some ways, lifts the high bar of quality its console counterpart set.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach on PC is a wonderful port and a very faithful sequel. It stands out for its major visual improvements, a cinematic photo mode, and the excellent stability provided by DLSS. Its mouse and keyboard gameplay is flawless, although its high technical requirements can be an obstacle for some players.

In the same vein as recent PS5 exclusive ports, Nixxes delivers an excellent PC version of Death Stranding 2. Graphically and technically almost flawless, aside from a few minor glitches, enjoyable to play with both keyboard/mouse and controllers, especially the DualSense, and with some welcome additions via a free update, this is clearly the definitive version of Kojima Productions' latest BB. A port of this quality makes it all the more regrettable that Sony has apparently decided to stop adapting other single-player PS5 exclusives for PC in the future. This one, therefore, has a very unique flavour and, whether we like it or not, represents a beautiful swan song for this chapter of PlayStation history, which closes on the Beach.

Death Stranding 2's PC port showcases the power of the Decima Engine once more, proving its superiority in both optimization and presentation. "To the wilder" difficulty also adds the much-needed challenge that it sorely needed, making it the definitive version of the game.

By turns sentimental and ridiculous, Death Stranding 2 nonetheless offers best marriage of mechanics and meaning in Hideo Kojima's storied career.

Even though the price is far from adequate for such a late release, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach on PC is a great port of one of the best sequels ever made by Kojima Productions.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach hits the right balance of calm and chaos I was looking for. A fascinating world, with decent gameplay mechanics that, rather annoyingly, it keeps trying to trivialise.

Death Stranding 2 remains a highly imaginative continuation of the captivatingly macabre universe from the mind of Hideo Kojima. The PC version stands as the definitive edition thanks to its customizable technical options, offering breathtaking visuals and a smooth experience on modern systems.

A great port of an incredibly strong sequel – an experience quite unlike anything else. The only question is whether Kojima’s idiosyncratic post-apocalypse can hold the PC community's attention, with Crimson Desert out on the same day. Regardless of its commercial fate: if this is the final nail in the coffin for PlayStation games on PC, at least it’s a really pretty one.
