Oct 27, 2013This game can't decide if it wants to be a daft dress up zombie killing game or a tense story about a broken man and his daughter, with the occasional ridiculous misogyny such as the reporters every movement being pretty much like a stripper. So it's a testament to how enjoyable the actual game and engine are that this still whacks an 8/10 from me.

Jan 30, 2022Why couldn't Dead Rising 3 & 4 just copy this and put it in different places and events. This was a great number two. It's Co-oP Mode was a blast and made the game even better then solo. Bosses are hard like trying to get in cereal with out waking anyone hard.
GG better Co-oP mode. -

May 25, 2012i dont know why i bought this game.probably coz of zombies in i was hoping it to be scary a bit but its hilarious and boring at the same time.on the other hand the game is a bad port+gfwl which made my life fuking hell to even run it on my pc.if you want a better game play dead island instead.but if you are a zombie fan like me play this game too.

Nov 13, 2010Serious. Pure. **** Awesome. In all honesty, this game proves you don't need to be serious or have a story to be freakin' amazing. Definitely a good buy if you got some friends to play with. (Sure it's fun alone too, but is Left 4 Dead as fun alone as it is with friends? No? Didn't think so. Grab your buddies, and play this Dead Rising 2 'til your eyes start bleeding! (9.0)

Oct 29, 2010Pros: Great gameplay, fun weapons, story is well done, great combos & point system
Cons: Save system, time limits, The speed at which you run (combined with the time limit its awfully frustrating), sometimes difficult to keep up with missions
Have not tried multiplayer. Pros outweigh cons on this one -
Nov 8, 2011Well...."Dead Rising 2" isn't a masterpiece, but enjoyable. The missions and zombie massacres are too repetitive after a while, but if you can live with it, that's fine. The weapon making system is awesome and creative in every way. The graphics are also (kinda) impressive if you watch it in a standard viewpoint. Overall a game that you would love to play in a rainy day.

Oct 1, 2010A great game fun solo or Coop the only down side is bad team mate AI that seems to mistake you and your other survivors for zombies every second shot and some retardedly hard boss battles.

Mar 7, 2013no other game had made me so addicted like dead rising. The permanent time pressure, secret places (the right time). more than 200 items that could swallow the zombies. Zombie Survival with not comparable and therefore unique!

Nov 16, 2010Excellent game that is fun full of blood and gore and a competent story (which for the record i enjoyed) and certainly worth the money i can't wait for Case: West! Near the end however the difficulty spirals to ridiculous levels (with super evil zombies) which will soon have you screaming in frustration wear the ninja suit if you have it, trust me...

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 13, 2011Addictive action piece brings a fresh mixture of free-roaming zombie massacre with an enjoyable storyline and timed quests. Weapon variability are absolutely fantastic and make you think of how to create the most bizarre killing tool. [Issue#197]

Jan 11, 2011True to the Capcom business model, this sequel doesn't fly far from the first game. It's fun to kill thousands of undead, again, but it's very inspiring this time around.

Jan 11, 2011The thing about the Dead Rising series is that it's pretty unique. Killing hordes of zombies with a huge variety of improvised weaponry isn't a genre present anywhere else. It's a great game to just mess around in, picking up random clothing, smashing zombie heads in and fighting away psychopaths.
