    Apart from being a mediocre series, more or less everyone can agree that second game was the best. With its story and gameplay, it managed to be memorable and stand out from the other games.

    I played this game when it was released on the Xbox 360, and I recently finished playing it again. To be honest, this game is not meant for newcomers to gaming who have not experienced some of the great titles out there, such as The Witcher, Bloodborne, Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Red Dead Redemption, and many more. These games focus heavily on delivering excellent story and gameplay, so II played this game when it was released on the Xbox 360, and I recently finished playing it again. To be honest, this game is not meant for newcomers to gaming who have not experienced some of the great titles out there, such as The Witcher, Bloodborne, Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Red Dead Redemption, and many more. These games focus heavily on delivering excellent story and gameplay, so I suggest playing them first to gain some experience and set a good standard. However, if you just want to pass the time and play something, then this game may be suitable for you. I won't rate this game by numbers since I believe that words are enough to express my opinion about it. In my experience, numerical ratings do not accurately convey the quality of a game.… Expand

    I wanna write a good review but i really can't this game is good for its time but we are at 2023 replaying this game now feels like chores without anything in return isn't fun story isn't bad but isn't good either.

    Despite the general criticism, this game is not that bad. Fun gameplay from the first part. There are now even more ways to kill zombies. The process was diversified by combining different types of weapons and additional types of attacks. Also, there are new types of enemies in the game with their own tactics. The story is not bad and also has multiple endings.

В одиночку вам там и делать то особо нечего, ну поглядеть на толпы зомби, заскучать от заурядного сюжета и скучных однотипных дополнительных квестов с кривоватыми и слабыми боссами. В одиночку вам там и делать то особо нечего, ну поглядеть на толпы зомби, заскучать от заурядного сюжета и скучных однотипных дополнительных квестов с кривоватыми и слабыми боссами. Но вот если вы играете с другом... игра превращается в море веселья со сбором различных нелепых и смертоносных орудий убийства под пафосную музыку во время того как персонаж стоит в платье и лего шляпе работая за верстаком; локации из самых незаурядных превращаются в очень ламповые и душевные местечки со всеми этими казино, магазинчиками и кафешками; серьезные катсцены и драма моменты превращаются в цирк шапито, в зависимости от того какие шмотки вы напялили на своего героя; а также множество еще подобных мини-моментов которые делают ваше прохождение уютным, увлекательным, интересным и, конечно же, задорно веселым.     Why couldn't Dead Rising 3 & 4 just copy this and put it in different places and events. This was a great number two. It's Co-oP Mode was a blast and made the game even better then solo. Bosses are hard like trying to get in cereal with out waking anyone hard.

    Best follow up story to Dead Rising 1 and probably best in the series.
    Fix all the AI problems and improve the gameplay all around. The only negative is the speed was slowed down.
    Best boss fights too. The original timer from 1, but much more time to do things without having to worry so much compared to the first game. It's how it should be.

    Here we go again. The first game was bad, so I'm not surprised, that the second one is even worse. The mistakes, that I've mentioned in the review of Dead Rising 1 are still present here, but what's even more funny, they add even more stupid s***. Now you can combine items to craft special weapons, but to craft such a weapon, you'll need to find a card, that gives you an idea to craft it,Here we go again. Our friends are f**** idiots and instead of running with us to the safehouse they go and fight with zombies, getting killed in the process. You f**** mindless c**** just follow me. This game is awful and I won't be playing the next parts, because they're not even optimized on the PC. This s*** is not optimized, I had frame drops in this game like crazy, which is ridiculous. So, I can play Prey (2017) and Shadow Warrior 2 in a steady good frame rate, but f*** Dead Rising 1 & 2 are lagging? What is wrong with these games. I hope this series will just stay dead.     GTA whit zombies all over. Except the part that you have to walk. A LOT. Combat mechanics are fun, and the plot too. Multiple endings. But the game caps you, forcing to level up your character. MP coop is very nice, depending of your taste.

    Mais pas tout malheureusement. Copié-collé à 95 % de la daube précédente, Dead Rising 2 fait dans une totale continuité, y compris au niveau de l'interface mal foutue, la maniabilité toujours perfectible, les armes ou objets qui s'usent à vitesse grand V et surtout l'absence totale d'amusement qu'un tel jeu de ce genre se doit de générer pourtant. Sans oublier les boss ingérables et grotesques et le même système de sauvegarde complètement à l'ouest. Aucun progrès, aucune remise en question. Zéro.

    Ce qui fait que je cherche éventuellement un deuxième point à accorder... quel peut-il bien être ? la musique ? pas vraiment. Les voix ? en anglais seulement, quelle horreur. Le "scénario" ?... restons sérieux tout de même. Et puis quoi... cette calamité de Games for Windows Live ne fait rien pour l'aider. Si ce n'est que cette mouture PC était bien moins chère que la version console, certes. Mais chère ou pas, de la merde, ça reste de la merde.    … Expand

    Even though the PC version has been updated to remove the games for windows live client, the co-op mode still does not work. I have tried to connect multiple time with my friend but it still does not work. The game also does notr recognize any controller if it is not the old 360 controller.

    This game is just awful. Terrible controls, attacks, running, jumping everything feels bad. Weapons break too easily and just no feeling of fun or empowerment is present. Avoid it like space-AIDS

    I just want to play this game again and again and again. Seeing the 3rd instalment only made me want to play DR2 even more. I almost beat DR2 twice in a row because it was so amazing. The mood, the shopping mall, the music, just everything about this game feels great! It is what people would've imagined video games to be like in the late 80's early 90's. I'm sick and tired of thisI just want to play this game again and again and again. Seeing the 3rd instalment only made me want to play DR2 even more.     Despite the horribly clashing mechanics of a time limit and sandbox weapon creation, this game can be pretty fun when played with another. However... games for windows live *spit* *spit*.

If you encourage the player to restart their game (and you're not a rogue-like) you should know your game's got some design issues.     pretty fun game if you like your zombie-killing with a zany ridiculous twist. the weapons are fun and the build system interesting. content-wise probably a little short (which means gameplay was fun enough that i wished there was more content). didn't totally enjoy the 'time-limit' concept as i it took away from generally roaming and exploring the game world.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Playing Dead Rising 3 on a friend's Xbox reminded me of its predecessor.... and how much I hated it.

    I bought Dead Rising 2 back in 2011 because I thought it would be a great co-op experience with my cousin or my friends. Or both.

    Instead what you get is a shallow, linear game that essentially forces you to play through its tedious story, consisting of you fetching so-called "Zombrex" for your infected daughter, as well as meeting other survivors and escorting them back to your safe spot.

    As far as the actual gameplay goes, this game delivers. You have a multitude of ways you can use to obliterate zombies, which is a ton of fun in and of itself. However, you are under a time restriction... Take too long and you fail the game.

    The graphics in this title are pretty average at best. Character models are pretty decent though, including the zombies.

    Oh and one more huge gripe. Games for Windows Live is attached to this game like a cancerous growth. Buyer beware!

    I did not like this game very much, and I felt cheated out of my $40 that I had spent. But oh well, lesson learned.    … Expand

Your weapons break unrealistically fast (a fire axe can only take a few hits before breaking) and it is next to impossible to save the survivors. They are incompetent and constantly get themselves into trouble, and getting them out of trouble inevitably ends with    This is quite possibly one of the worst games ever made.

They are incompetent and constantly get themselves into trouble, and getting them out of trouble inevitably ends with you hitting them. This eventually leads to them defecting and abandoning you. Further, you can't hit zombies that you've knocked down, so you can't finish them and have to wait for them to get back up to do so. Live zombies that you've knocked down can still block your path though!

    As an idea for a game was very good, but there are two major mistakes that completely destroys the fun of play.

Anyone who says this is a bad port is technologically impaired, like seriously, I read some reviews (obviously written by 5 yr olds) and they are wrong because they are impaired (like previously stated). This game is of highest quality, much care was given. It feel like one of those old school SNES games. Modern gamers who such at life would not be able to grasp theGood Port, Good Game.     Addictive action piece brings a fresh mixture of free-roaming zombie massacre with an enjoyable storyline and timed quests. Weapon variability are absolutely fantastic and make you think of how to create the most bizarre killing tool. [Issue#197]

    The thing about the Dead Rising series is that it's pretty unique. Killing hordes of zombies with a huge variety of improvised weaponry isn't a genre present anywhere else. It's a great game to just mess around in, picking up random clothing, smashing zombie heads in and fighting away psychopaths.
