Oct 13, 2020The devs went straight into my ignore list, since it's obvious that whatever they do in the future it's absolutely impossible for them to create anything I'd enjoy spending time on. What makes people like playing same levels over and over again? To me, it's just boring as hell.

Jan 7, 2019Really boring, not fun grinding game.
Very limited effective items means playing the same runs over and over and over with little style variation
game is not difficult in a fun way, just boring and makes me want to quit. Avoid this game if you feel like keeping your sanity intact as its just designed to piss people off -
Jan 21, 2019DON'T BUY THIS GARBAGE!
Massively overhyped biased reviews. This game has only pixel art to show for. Other than that, it's a very poor Metroidvania with game rage inducing elements. Absolutely no value as a game.
You want visual eye candy? Search for pixel art. Don't give this game developer a cent. -
Jul 19, 2020Awful game and community. Do not recommend to anyone. There are many better rouge lite games out there. This is just poor man's dark souls
-
Nov 11, 2018Tedious, repetitive, boring. Randomly generated levels but all pretty much the same.
-
Sep 22, 2018Not the best, not the worst, those who love 2d games its a pretty game to give it a try
-
Nov 16, 2018Traps make a terrible imbalance, it's difficult without them, the game becomes very easy with them
-
Dec 29, 2018Game is boring and the graphics are one of the worst pixel games I've seen. The world is bad designed, and the difficulty makes it even more on the side of trash. I don't understand what people are seeing in this. Maybe it just me....

Sep 6, 2018Even so, perseverance has its rewards. With experience comes knowledge of which weapons and encounters to prioritise, which routes to take, and how to get back to those tricky boss battles faster. When it all starts to come together, frustration fades and your love affair with Dead Cells' phenomenal fundamentals can start all over again.
-
May 13, 2020It's hard as nails and aggressively repetitive. Because your upgrades carry over to your reincarnations, it seems you are supposed to die and have a go at it again. You will find yourself repeating the first couple of levels on and on and on and on. That's cruelly boring. People **** all over it, I'm just disappointed.

Feb 5, 2022Honestly, ROGUELITE is the best representative of the games with Hades. After 36 hours, I never got bored and I continue, just the Hand of the King is a bit too difficult, other than that, the number ten game

Jul 26, 2022Dead Cells' philosophy is just more more more and because everything is impermanent: the levels, weapons and talents the whole thing ultimately feels pointless. Also considering the amount of effort that went into the art and technology there is too much going on on screen and too many extra effects and the whole thing becomes a pixelised smear.

Apr 26, 2022Задумка интересная, игра выглядит прикольной. Графика красивая. Но есть одно но. Игра слишком сложная.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Dec 31, 2018Dead Cells is an adrenaline duty for every player. It gets you not only with a beautifully crafted dark world and countless weapons, but mostly with elaborated gameplay. [Issue#288]

Sep 27, 2018As one of the best 2D action games to date, Dead Cells is a game people will be talking about for a long time. A true masterpiece.

Game World Navigator MagazineSep 26, 2018Combat is very satisfying: strikes have proper weight behind them, hitboxes are where you expect them to be and controls are very responsive. Procedural generation, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired: from playthrough to playthrough, levels feel too similar. [Issue#232, p.68]
