    This game is just a sad, pathetic excuse just to beat GTA V's sales by flagging someone's negative reviews and opinions around Youtube and all the other review sites just to earn more money. Tsk tsk tsk....     After hearing the cover up on this game by Wild Game Studios, I can not be more disgusted. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is another example of the Streisand Effect: When one chooses to hide or disclose something already made public, and in consequence will have it more publicized by the internet.

    This is just a shame-game of a shame-developer... One of the many comments you hear is that the promised quality (in trailers and such) is way beyond the delivered quality in-game. The developer also tries everything it it's power to remove any negative comment about the game, which is absurd.

    This is the biggest pile of excrement of a PC game I've ever played. Much worse than E.T. for the Atari 2600 and Action 52 combined. I'd rather have a split kransky than play this abomination of a game.

    what can you say about Day One: Garrys Incident. Well first you could say that in the trailers it did show potential. there isnt alot of survival games like this. but it is horrible. flat out garbage. The controls are extremely clunky and the combat system is annoying.     The people that gave this game positive & mixed reviews are lying to you. This game is **** horrible. It has more bugs than an ant farm, less sound effects than a silent film and it's more boring than watching someone clip their toenails for 16 hours straight. Don't buy it, even it's $1 don't **** buy it.

    yeah, so this in the top3 the worst video games of 2013. games is unplayable, often stuck on objects, NPC flying, sound is horrible etc. how this game is on the steam, i don't know, but this is unacceptable. do not buy!

    The worst game of the year. Looking at it at first glance looks good but its nothing but a broken game with more bugs and glitches than things that work. This is buggiest than alpha stage games.
    Bad animations, bad graphics, quick time events for everything even to heal yourself, stealth is broken, fighting system is broken and boring, AI is horrible.
    I'll never get a game from these guys ever.

    One of the few times in my life that I've actually been angry at myself for NOT listening to the community before buying this game. When you set this against the back drop of the disgraceful abuse of the YouTube copyright system, it's worth taking the time to pen a quick review so that others may avoid this game and not support this kind of title from making it on to steam.

Wild Games Studio tried to censor a critics video on YouTube, one I was going to watch over the weekend. Well, it turns out Wild Turds Studios did not like the critique and used the YouTube's copyright system to take down the critical critique.     Quite frankly this is the best game we have ever played. I mean, the way they used the colour green is amazing. We crapped our pants when we heard that cool sound at the end of level 5, it was like a police car going past our house so realistic. The protagonist, Bob, is a fantastic anti-hero, probably because he's the pope.

    We loved how you had to control the character using sheer will power and a slice of cheddar cheese. The enemies are like terrifying kittens that are invisible to badgers which makes some parts tricky. Luckily though it balances out when you collect all 7000 overdue electricity bill statements which gives you Badger Vision.
    We would of given this game a much higher rating but because it is infinite we are now trapped in a time paradox.

    The score is 0.5 because they managed to spell their title correctly... I think. The monumentally poor gameplay is matched only by the bugs that plague this game. If that wasn't enough the actions of Stephane Woods has put a cherry firmly atop this cake of disgrace and shame.

But when you charge double the cost of farcry or fallout 3 (non goty) or Prey, one would expect the game to have some form of innovation or charm, and I'm sure the majority of people agree with meThis game is very buggy and unpolished, and definitely not worthy of the $20 price tag. Criticique is protected under fair use in all copyright legislation that I have seen, and the fact that positive reviews are allowed to remain is censorship. Making a bad product is one thing, but taking illegal action to misreprest that product to the market is unforgivable. There is absolutelty no reason for anyone to buy this product or support the developer 0/10… Expand

    Glitchy as hell, plays like crap, attacks are just one animation, soulds are terible, dont even get me started on enemy AI, its worst than a flash game from 1990 with 3D graphics...

    I thought that this game's concept looked interesting and gave it a try, but was sorely disappointed by the train wreck it turned out to be. I decided to sign up just to write this review because of the obviously fake positive reviews which are all similarly worded and are written by users with accounts made just to give the game undeserved high scores.

It ranks with that special place inhabited by games like Aliens: Colonial Marines which is actually a better game than Day One. An absolute sham.

    How did a game like this get a user score of 0.6? It should be MUCH lower. Anything higher then a 0 is blasphemy. I'm not sure if you can call this a game. It lacks all aspects of anything complete or game play. If you like torturing yourself then get this game. Save your self the money and go buy some chipotle burritos and new underwear instead. Any reviewer who says otherwise was paid to do so.

Okay, I could understand it if a company was about to go bankrupt and decided to port a game to PC but didn't have the time or resources to make a proper port, but this is a PC exclusive! I seriously recommend you don't purchase this game. I can guarantee that if you have even the slightest taste in video games, you will not like this game.     I don't know if it is because I, and probably many others, reported the false positive comments, made by the developer, but they are now removed. I am soo happy with metacritic for catching onto the bull**** and removing the bogus positive reviews! That adds credibility to the service as a whole. Do NOT buy this game!!

    Also what makes the game so bad is that it's too glichy.Some barrels that contain fruit are invisible so you can only see the fruit and you wonder why you can't pick it up until you get the idea of hitting the attack button.Animations are very bad,enemies coming in a hilarious way...until they hit you and your 70% health goes to 0% and you die.That is an other problem.How could my heath go down so quick?The game never explains this.So what you can only do is to think of a explanation.

    The Artificial Intelligence in this game is just silly.For example if you crouch and have half of your body covered by a wall,stone etc. and be 1m in from of the enemy,him looking at you,he will not attack you,though you are 1 m in front of him.

    The game makes no sense monkeys attack you with rocks because they can.The story is simply not good enough to make you struggle through the gameplay.This game is one of the worst and no patch will resolve it.    … Expand

    The concept is good but that's pretty much where the positives end. Graphics are below poor and painfully poorly optimised running shoddily on a beast of a machine. Combat is cumbersome and unengaging, the layout of the environment is pretty dull and the storytelling in the game such as it is, is lackluster.     Then comes the bugs. This game is, at times, game-BREAKINGLY buggy. Collision boxes don't match textures (or even exist in some cases), the ai will freeze up randomly, your health bar doesn't seem to match up to, well, anything and the list goes on. Most inexcusably (in my opinion) is save points don't seem to remember the world correctly. Things that should be dead are suddenly alive and vice versa. My inventory seemed to be the only thing immune to this.
    Overall, I would avoid the game unless a lot of work goes into bug fixes. Even then the basic execution of the game will be below par but balanced against that is the fact it's not a AAA title. You'd have to REALLY REALLY want a "survival" game to forgive this game its myriad faults though (and I mean REALLY)    … Expand

    One of the best games to come out. I like the concept of the game. Smooth Graphics. Runs well on my Personal Computer. Better puzzles than Portal 2. Definitely pushed the Unreal Engine 3 to the limits, which held it back from its full potential. Hopefully will see a sequel Day Two on Unreal Engine 4 where it will really shine. I preferred survival elements. Better than the survival gameOne of the best games to come out. I like the concept of the game. Smooth Graphics. Runs well on my Personal Computer.     I really liked the idea for this game but it wasn't implemented well and the game was released in an unfinished state. Moreover, the company behind did some very dishonest moves and tried to censorship justified criticism of this game. I strongly encourage you to not support this game.

    Avoid this trash. Do anything with your money but buy this, give it to charity, buy some paint and watch it dry, throw your money down the drain, set it on fire. All is preferable to the alternative!

    The developers of this game disgust me. They advertised an in-game contest for Steam currency on their Steam page days after the contest had ended. The game is impossible to enjoy because of the terrible taste left in your mouth from those rapscallions.

    This game is everything I wish I could be. The gameplay is sooooo captivating. And the characters, unforgettable! Anyone who doesn't love Garry, is just jealous of him. So there are a few bugs. MEH, the bugs just makes the gameplay more unique and entertaining. All in all a fantastic game. 10/10

    Terrible game and disgusting developers. Graphics are bad, AI is almost nonexistent, bugs everywhere, I don't even know where to begin. I also can't believe how hard the developers are trying to hide all the faults to their game. I couldn't get past the first part because a bug prevented me from progressing to the next part. I'm just extremely frustrated with this game.

They tried to scam their way through Kickstarter by putting a lot of their own money into it, giving it the illusion that it was making progress when it really wasn't. They yanked this money out over time because it was a hoax; not real donations. After that failed, miserably, they hit the Steam Greenlight. On Steam they managed to sleaze their way through by giving free copies of the game to voters and over hyping it to be way better than it really was. At release they then began to make fake Metacritic reviews/ratings, trying to pass this off as a good game to deceive buyers. They also started locking any forum thread of theirs that complained about the game or revealed it to be a pile of garbage while falsely praising the game on dummy accounts or allowing threads to exist that praised the game. If you don't get it by now, this is a horrible shameless company that you should not support in any way. Their game is awful, a poorly made bad graphics bug ridden pile of trash that they've tried to pass off as decent to scam you in every way they could. They even tried to yank Totalbiscuit's video of the game for criticizing it when they originally gave him rights(and the game itself) to do the video in the first place. They did this because his video was warning hundreds of thousands of people to NOT buy the game. The video is now back on Youtube, but I can't link it here. Just search Totalbiscuit Garry's Incident and you'll find it. You can also watch the second video he made describing the takedown the original video got, although it's since been restored to watch.

    Due to all of this; I'm giving them a 0, even though the game itself wouldn't have rated this low if the company behind it wasn't so despicable. Do not buy Garry's Incident. Do not support developers like this. Not only is it an awful game, but it has a horrible developer that you should not support in any way, shape, or form. The funny thing is that the game is so bad, no critics even want to play it or bother reviewing it. The only one on this site so far at this time of posting is PC PowerPlay, dated Nov 25 2013, that gave it 1/10.

Everything in it sucks. The graphics waste potential of even quite outdated Unreal Engine 3. Sounds are equally disgusting and the gameplay is straightforwardly boring and not satisfying. The first time in my life I wanted to clean the pots rather than play the game thanks to Day One. And of course, there are plenty better ways to waste your time instead of playing this utter crap.     He stumbled across a game with a ''Big'' green button that said ''Add to cart'' and then he discovered a mysterious area called ''The forums'', everywhere people said ''Such a terrible game'' ''Worthless piece of rubbish''.

    Seriously, this game is basically worse'r then ''WarZ'' or ''XRebirth'', this game shows a rushed product that was looking so good, instead it turned out to be a pretty bad scam, you could spot this 100's miles away and still see how bad the game looked, too be honest when I saw the trailers I think we can all say that ''We were all hyped for this, but we were let down'', this is basically a '0', not worth buying.

    Gameplay, oh wow I'm going to hit something, let's see what the animations are like.. ''Oh, what is this... its Horrible!, Ahhhhhh!'' the animations are that bad, and so is the gameplay, enemy's will kill you in a single hit, with a twig or any random weapon it'll still happen.

    Design, oh god don't get me started, there's only one good thing about the design which are the monkeys and the moss on the rocks, they're the only two good designs from within the game, please get rid of this game, and refund those poor people who experienced such ****    … Expand

Making good trailers, giving out this tommyrot and censoring all the bad reviews and Total's especially is astonishingly loathsome. It's unbelievable that they're from Canada, my favourite contry...     The developer has also been accused of numerous attempts of censoring and harrasment.
