This title boasts a very high replay value, an excellent soundtrack and some downright wicked tricks.
-
AntagonistThere's so much fun to be had in finding new moves, beating your own scores, and trying to land a cool combo that you'll find yourself overlooking the problems and just playing, enjoying the occasional crash landing and forgetting what time it is.
-
I cant remember the last time I spent so much time playing just a single game... Just ask my wife. We would be sitting at the dinner table and she would look over at me with that evil eye and say Youre thinking of that @#!$% game again arent you?
-
Daily RadarThere are so many cool tricks to pull off, and the physics are so forgiving, that we weren't afraid to try some truly ambitious tricks -- and occasionally land them.
-
This is a blast to play, has numerous challenges and has enough eye candy to sweeten the appetite of any competitive sports gamer.
-
Anyone looking to quickly dismiss it as just another ripoff in the same vein as "MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald" had better take a long second look, as this game is a great experience in its own right.
-
In terms of gameplay, the beauty of DMFBMX is that, just like Tony Hawk, once you learn a few of the cooler moves there is nothing more fun than just biking around pulling off tricks.
-
Other than the great graphics, the PC version has nothing extra to offer over its console counterparts, so I wouldn't recommend an upgrade if you already have it.
-
In the end, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX can be fun, but the occasional problems with the graphics and collision detection can quickly become a source of unnecessary frustration.
-
There's plenty to unlock here, but who would want to? The game didn't keep me up at night, but I did keep coming back to it every now and again hoping it would get better.
-
It looks as if somebody took a 320x200 picture and stretched it over the entire screen. I will never understand the people who port the PSX games to PC; why don't they at least redraw the picture behind the main menu?
-
If you're looking for something that's fun, easy to learn and great to have the odd knock around on, then you might have just found yourself a nice little surprise.
-
Most importantly, the omission of a multiplayer option, present in the console version, is particularly disappointing.
