    Game is very good maybe will not symbol for next game developers but it's good game. I have played on PC over 100 hours and no problem just few times funny bugs and that's all. CD Project will fix issues and it will be great game next year.

    Masterpiece of a game. Yes there are bugs but they will be fixed. Incredible city and open world. Great characters and writing. Really fun mechanics. Whilst it would have been nice to polish more before release, I am glad that I have it for Xmas 2020. Overall I am really glad to be playing it in 2020.

    It was buggy and messy from the beginning but since update 1.04 it is practically unplayable as it is crashing frequently. CDPR lost all my trust for future project releasing a half baked product like this after so many delays.

    Gameplay mechanics are severely flawed. Alpha build quality. The bugs and glitches makes it impossible to be immersed into the story.

    It is cheating, it is almost a crime, it is fake advertising company, to sell game of that quality for Xbox one base and PS4 base.
    And of course I’m not professional in game dev, but I think if RDR2 can look pretty good on base versions, so why Cyberpunk 2077 can’t? Why I’m paying for this?

    Pre-odered this game on pc. In GOG. And I dont regret this. First of all, cyberpunk 2077 is brilliant RPG. Awesome non linear story, awesone characters, awesome open world. Yes, the game have a lot of technical problems (I got only a few on my ryzen 3600+rx5600xt). I agree.

    i'm making this run on al 5 yo old PC and i must say it runs fu**ing amazing (relatively speaking,ofc).
    i thought i had to wait to refresh my hardware to fully enjoy the game but i have to say i'm pleasantly surprised i can enjoy Night City also with my old grumpy GTX 970.
    Are there bugs? of course but 1) it's released from 3 days and 2) there's no game breaking bug i encountered (yet)    i'm making this run on al 5 yo old PC and i must say it runs fu**ing amazing (relatively speaking,ofc).

The setting and the environment is just amazing (and i can't wait to see it with new hardware), i felt part of the story right away, dialogues and storytelling just kept me glued to the screen. i'm pretty sure I'll replay it at least to see the other backgrounds and play styles. I'd love to personally thank CDPR for making my wait worth. But, honestly, i never doubted it.

    As for the bombers, and the people that loves more to critic than to play: do your worst. Time will tell if this will be declared a masterpiece (and i'm sure it will) or not. You are and will be irrelevant in both cases anyway.    … Expand

    This game is incredible! Great story, great look and fun gameplay! And only $80 Aus when games like cod go for 100+ with only 9 hour story. The game will look even better in years to come when new hardware will allow the setting to be cranked to max. Minimal bugs compared to other big open world releases which will only get patched out.

    I have average quality computer and i have no problem about graphics. Even if i cannot play this game with ultra graphics, they will find out optimization problem. The game has some NPC problems and bugs, we all know that. However, if you waited this game as much as did, you would know that CD Project Red will provide us a perfect game.

    Where to start with this game. After a mismanaged development, the game finally comes out riddled with bugs. With massive chunks of the story having been cut off. (After picking your background, the story skips one year into the future, ignoring any character development that should've happened there.)

    Other than that, the game's mechanics feel 5 or 6 years old. Navigating the inventory's 3 different screen to dissassemble hundreds of similarly bad items is not fun. spending 4 minutes crafting your cosumable one by one is not fun.

    The guns have an amazing visual and sound design, under deserved by spongy ennemies that make gunfight feel sluggish and innefective.

    As for the story, and the world design, the game does not carry its name properly. Cyber it might be, but Punk it ain't. The main character got no ideals beside Survival, and Silverhand carries a 50 years old legacy into a world that stayed weirdly stilted since Cyberpunk 2020. If it wasn't for the charm of Keanu reeves, his character would have been deeply unpleasant. Thanks to Keanu's amazing likability, Silverhand is simply a grouchy misanthropic character dragging old revenge fantasies with very little ideological mainstay.

    The world has very little self reflection in it, in a lot of ways this "dystopia" seems to ignore the ways our real world is **** up. I've seen very little elements of critique of our society (which was the whole point of cyberpunk in the 80.) or our economy. (I remember the corp book 1 opening on a very real description of the way real world capitalism dipped its toes in darker things than the actual Cyberpunk world.)

    Cyber"punk" 77. Not the worst game ever but far from being a perfect game. And the empty shell of a story makes going through its actual gameplay, a chore.    … Expand

    I played it for the first 15 hours now and I must say this game is an masterpiece, one of the best games i've ever played. The story and characters in this game are incredible good and complex written. The open world is oaybe the best open world i've seen so far. The gameplay is I would say very good too. I can understand it that the console players are pissed but what did they expect from 7 years old hardware? It just can't look as good as with a rtx 3080. The expectations of the comunity were partly pretty unconvertable aswell. I mean on the one hand side the game should look very good with the best hardware in the market but on the other side it should also run on 7 years old consoles?! Am I the only one who thinks that these expectations of the community were completely pointless? But all in one I think this game is a masterpiece and it also has the potential to be the game of the decade once the technological problems are fixed (Which will happen soon I suppose).     This game is NOT a 6 out of 10, I don't even believe it's a 5 out of 10..
    A "real" 5 out of 10 is a mixed game.. half good, half bad.. this game is mostly bad, except a very few sections in the first 4 hours polished up for reviewers who were flown out..
    Some of the most interesting points of the game are skipped over with a generic cutscene, the same cutscene for everyone, which ends your "lifepath"..
    The mechanics of the game feel 1/4 finished.. Some are polished, most are poorly implemented or missing entirely.. Without explanation..

    The world is empty and lifeless, except very specific scripted areas.
    Cut content CRIPPLED this game..

    Beside all of that, the pointless and unknown AVX requirement caused the game to crash in the same exact spots in the prologue for thousands of us, while the game was running perfectly, otherwise.
    Thankfully, all of us at the CDProjektRed forum were sharing details and ideas, and this one awesome person (fofo2323) had the idea and knowledge to edit the "AVX Call" code, to pretty much ignore the AVX call as soon as the "ask" started..
    Then, days later, the Nexusmods site had it up for the rest of the world.. Now the AVX problem is no longer a problem.. Thanks to replacing a "55" with "C3" in a string of code..
    GOG and CDProjektRed support were speaking with me as if I were the only person contacting them, very personal, and they shared the solution around.
    Those guys deserve credit for doing everything possible to either help fix the issue or get the refund going.    … Expand

    The shooting mechanics are fun 8/10.
    Driving is all right 7/10.
    The AI is a bit stupid 5/10.

    There are still some bugs and the PC requirements are very high. However, rating this game with less than a 8/10 seems very unfair. My real score would be a 9/10 with potential to a 10/10 as soon as the bugs are fixed

    I love everything about this game honestly. For me not any game breaking bugs and a few updates ago I would have crashes. I gave it a 10 because were it’s going and where it will end up. I know as I continue to play this game it will just continue to get better and better! The graphics are amazing , it’s fun, and I’m just trying to wife Panam. This is a great game on pc!!

    Good narrative, but inferior to Witcher 3. By far. Decent gameplay, decent level structure, and good gunplay. This game fails to be outstanding in any particular section. However, it is very enjoyable.

Obviously there was a lot of false advertising done by CDPR, I'm not talking about glitches, the core game has nothing to do with what was marketed to us. I never paid attention to this game until just a couple months ago when they cranked up the marketing, still wasn't intending on buying it. Then it came out, and the only criticisms I heard were of glitches, which usually don't bother me as long as the RPG elements are good. Well, it's not an RPG, there are no choices, there is nothing to interact with, it's a rigid action shooter looter with a 10 hour story with one of the most boring and uninteresting endings I've ever seen in video game history. But back to the point, this game is empty, meaningless, boring, dead, linear. You want that but with a story that'll grip you a little bit more? Go play Call of Duty. Obviously their marketing campaign was so outrageously false that in most developed countries it's outright illegal false advertising. I know there are many lawsuits ongoing right now and CDPR, with this game, is just begging to get ripped to shreds in court. And I hope they do, to course correct from the capitalist dystopia we seem to already be in.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really wish I could give this game a 10. Sadly, I cant. Playing with the day 1 patch and updated drivers, the main concerns you are gonna have are visual bugs and terrible performance, enough to take away 2 points from the mark.

    The rest of the game is almost perfect. Of course you can make subjective claims about what you consider good or bad AI and what you value the most about an open world game. The game is open world but heavily relies on scripted dialogue and story missions to be fun. The combat is decent, the driving is actually kinda bad but the rest of aspects that I didnt metion like sound quality, hud, game economy and pace, story, graphics, customization, dialogue, translation to other languages, difficulty, hacking mechanics and so on are on point. This is my taste my honest opinion. The game has errors that arise from its complexity, an expansive ability tree, a huge amount of variation and so on. It lacks on random open world encounters and true AI, as the open world is meant to act as a complement of the main quest rather than as a core element of the game. You are not going to repeat missions to find epic loot and discover awesome spots where you can play minigames and engage in conversations outside of quests. The game lacks that freedom and randomness, but If you are ready to let Night City explore you and dont mind leaving your unrealistic expectations of exploring Night City aside, this will be fun for you.

    This game is Masterpiece 10/10 for me , i know some visuals glitches on launch day but other than that so far i having no issue with the game. CD Projekt Red we need developers like you and i can not wait for your next Project . i also want to request some console players to cool down and stop giving fake reviews on Meta-critic ,i know you guys got bad launch with performance but don'tThis game is Masterpiece 10/10 for me , i know some visuals glitches on launch day but other than that so far i having no issue with the game. The voice acting is just ok. The mechanics are really middle-of-the-road.     My biggest gripe is that the RPG mechanics aren't very good. Perks are simple stat boosts, which while useful, are very boring. Dialogue for V is disappointing, the options are limited. It gives the impression that CDPR and a predefined character in mind when writing V's lines, similar to Geralt from TW3. The whole dialogue system is the same as TW3. However, Geralt was a far more interesting character than V. V was supposed to be a blank slate for the player, but the player is not presented with enough options to flesh out their "own" V.

    The radiant open world gameplay is a big short coming too. Do not expect a radiant open world. The city is populated but the interactions with it are limited. Do not expect a Rockstar games experience like GTAV or RDR2.

    Driving is alright. If you prefer GTAV driving this feels very different. Closer to GTA IV. Some cars handle terribly and are hard to keep under control. Others actually feel really good. Driving through the city is fun when it works, but don't look for too much depth here. AI limitations limit your interaction through driving.

    Once the bugs are ironed out it should be an 8/10 experience. It's a shame because this could have been a 10/10 with more time and a clearer direction.

    If you are on console don't buy it for the foreseeable future. The base console versions are barely playable and definitely over sold by the insane marketing push. CPDR should be ashamed for releasing the game on console in their current state.

    Игра на данный момент очень вторичный и технически сырой среднячек BBB класса, и мне как то грустно от этого, игру не ждал, так что завышенных ожиданий не имел, но все равно расстроился    … Expand

    The game released in a near unplayable state. I've experienced at least 20 different bugs. From T-posing npcs to clipping grass over to a d*ck hanging out of someones pants. Apart from the bugs it runs terrible aswell; i installed the latest GPU driver and still barely manage to get over 45fps on a 3070. Yikes.

    Edit: After playing over 50 hours my initial impressions remained the same; however i wanted to add how much i enjoy the story, the characters and the music. I feel that i am building connections to the NPC's in the game and want to see their story. Initially i wanted to finish the main story and change to a different lifepath to the Nomad to see how they play out, but I cant as i feel emotionally invested in my current Nomad V. I want to see his story in Night City and the decisions I make as i do the side quests.

    I used to play Cyberpunk 2020 as a Tabletop RPG so this might make me bias as i have experienced the Cyberpunk world before in my imagination and how this have been reimagined by CDPR. I have seen criticism on how they implemented the skills and attributes and how they not making any game changing difference to some people as it seems they only give % increases, which is partly true, but this is how majority of true Tabletop RPG's work which this game is based. I also disagree as i can see my playstyle changing as i am gaining experience and leveling up my character.

    30 hours into the game. Taking my time doing side quests and building up my character. Playing with 7.1 headphones.
    I'm really enjoying this game. City is alive and full of details, the skill tree is huge and also the body augmentation options. Makes for a really deep game and the main campaign got the hooked so far.

    After almost 1 year of polishing is that what you do ? I'm playing the game on rx 480 8gb model. It's an almost head-to-head card with the 1060. According to the basic system requirements, I have to play the game at a constant 60 fps at least in mid-high settings, but even in low, the game is 40 fps.

    I know there are some bugs, but they didn’t impact my experience, I always wanted to play, and this is what counts.
    It has amazing incredible graphic, with the best ray tracing I ever saw.
    The bugs will be solved soon, I’m sure, so I want to give it the max score anyway

    Besides all the bugs, I feel the addition of GTA style gameplay does not bode well with an RPG. It results in annoying situations that break the gameplay flow. For example, while driving towards a mission, you will sometime hit civilians; this results in the police placing a bounty on your head, officers spawning out of mid air; at that point you would have to hide for a while for the officers off your trail so you can start the story mission. While this does not bother me in GTA, in Cyberpunk is extremely annoying as here I am expecting to be able to roleplay my character without this type of interruptions.

    The story is very engaging and does a good job using cyberpunk themes, but at the same time it feels overly-linear without many opportunities for the player to influence it. I do know that all games offer only the illusion of choice, but for me other games do a better job at this than Cyberpunk.

    Although we are now creating our own character, this is purely visual, don't expect to get a blank slate like in Elder Scrolls series. V has its own personality and comes with its backstory in which you do not have much input even during dialogue choices - if someone asks you if you used a tech before, you don't get options to confirm or deny it, V will respond automatically to this. This did not influence my score, but I think is relevant for the review.
    What is disappointing are the life paths. At the start of the game you can select your origin, but the related missions only last for about 15-20 minutes and afterwards it is barely acknowledged during the rest of the game.

    Secondary missions are split into "side jobs" and "gigs". While the side jobs are fun, similar in style to Witcher 3's secondary missions, gigs are boring, you gain them just by going to a place on the map and are completed automatically (via a phone call).

    The combat is fun and there are many ways to advance your character. Some are level/xp dependent - attributes and skills, but some depend more on the amount of money you have (implants). One small criticism I have of the progression is that most perks are boring "X% increase in damage if using a rifle" type. One thing I like, is that you do not gain perk points only at level up, but also via performing certain actions - using shotguns will give points for shotgun/LMG tree.

    To summarize, I think once the bugs will get sorted out, this will be a good FPS game with solid story missions with GTA style open world gameplay in between. But, going in expecting a good RPG there is potential for disappointment and overall I think is a step down when compared to the Witcher series.    … Expand

    I have played games since i was 6 Years old and i Have never played anything quite like This, It's amazing although it does have a lot of bugs you Gotta give credit to This kind of innovation. It feels like a mix between GTA COD and Fallout 4 with so mange more Small things that makes This game indcredible and has multiple romances, endings and so much more 10/10

    Stop defending thist sh#t just because Witcher 3 was a masterpiece. In my first 3 hours I got 3 crashes ,5 bugs , and non stop fps drops. THE GRAPHICS ARE NOT THAT GOOD , THEY ARE JUST OK , STOP SAYING IT S OUR FAULT BECAUSE WE DON T HAVE THE LATEST NVIDIA RTX 50000 BS . I run Horizon zero dawn ,Red dead 2 ,Shadow of the tomb raider ,AC Odyseey , all on high, with no problems .Do I needStop defending thist sh#t just because Witcher 3 was a masterpiece.     The world is nice , story is nothing wow ,if you 're familiar with another cyberpunk stories ,

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
