Stayed away all this time as I knew at the time the hype wouldn't be delivered. Put 75 hours into it since patch 1.6 and really enjoyed my time with it and only paid £12 for so money well spent. The thing is though although I really liked the story and the characters which were great the actual game play is only average with dumb enemies who just Bob their heads up out of cover every 5Stayed away all this time as I knew at the time the hype wouldn't be delivered. Put 75 hours into it since patch 1.6 and really enjoyed my time with it and only paid £12 for so money well spent. The thing is though although I really liked the story and the characters which were great the actual game play is only average with dumb enemies who just Bob their heads up out of cover every 5 seconds or so. It really does feel like a great interactive movie with basic open world gameplay and features albeit it looks brilliant. Almost everything else feels underdeveloped or missing entirely. Playing it I was always thinking about how cool it would have been if this was in it or you could do that instead of the rudimentary gameplay that's actually there. Even the quickhacking is lacking so if you play it that way as I did you'll just end up using Short Circuit and Overheat most of the time while using Cyberpsychosis on enemies for a laugh more than anything. The other hacks are mostly pointless. The driving is basic too although faster cars handle better. Where are all the other motorcyclists? Random events? Why can't cars self drive to locations other than Delamain? Why can't they fly? Why are trains nothing but fast travel? Why are the police a joke who just stand on street corners? Why isn't there more involvement with the gangs or even the police like actual quest lines ala Skyrim? The list is endless for what should and could be in it however I'm still giving it an 8 as I was swept along with the main story and the main side character stories like Johnny, Panam, River and Judy. That side of the game is a high standard as the missions are well constructed and rarely just a case of just go here and do that on your own but it's still supposed to be a game not a movie otherwise it could have been one of the best games of all time. I loved this game. The environment is so good, love the atmosphere. It took some time to get into this game, but when I did, did I enjoy myself. Amazing story, however, a bit slow at the start.

Night city at first feels like a futuristic city at first but losses it's immersion as you play through. Same repitive lines from npcs, lack of vehicle diversity, etc.

The setting is incredibly well done. The city feels alive, and the atmosphere is really well done.
If you've got a good computer and UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVER, this game is a lot of fun.

I see a lot of negative reviews, and aside from the performance issues which should be solved by the above advice I don't understand what they're complaining about.

The review mentions graphical downgrade, but ive long since stopped hitting studios for this unless its as egregious as UBISOFTs usual E3 Porn. But in general, i blame the graphical downgrade on consoles, as always. This reminds me of watchdogs, when sony went out of their way to make sure the pc graphics were in line with the console graphics so they could sell that narrative of being nex gen. With a new console launch, i would not be surprised if the same deal was taking place here. Graphical limitations have always been because of consoles, i see no reason for that to change now. Game still looks incredible, the crowd density shown in the trailer, exist in the game which helps make the world feel alive, which i think its a big deal because usually its not just the graphics downgraded, its the world population, night city is no wasteland.

Dont get me wrong, the game has some things that need to be fixed and addressed before i would give it a 10/10. So far, i give it an 8/10 after 6 hours of gameplay. I like the story, i have no problem with the pacing i was looking for an immersive world and i got it, i love the presentation, i love the fact that when the game loads it plays news stories, i am getting exactly what i expected - which was not some 0 to 60 run and gun action movie but a world you want to exist in. I like the mechanics but i am someone who will read the entire skill tree before spending a point so thats why it is fine for me. I look at the skill tree and i see the builds and the synergies and it makes me put pins down in my head that make me say "Im going to do that build next,", "This is what ill do with my nomad" etc, etc. After coming off games like assassin creed valhalla and immortal fenyx rising and the like, having actual builds beyond knowing that eventually i will get the entire skill tree unlocked in one playthrough so "who cares where i spend these points", is great.

I really like the character creator, my first character didnt turn out so well, but i went back in and spent even more time with it and the final result is something i really like interms of how realistic it looks and how it turned out - i have some complaints about the accessories, as i dont understand why earrings dont come in pairs or why hairstyles are gender locked, but overall its great. However i wouldve went with an RGB slider for EVERY color option, rather than preset colors.

The game loses a point for its terrible UI and color scheme that you cant seem to adjust the red and yellow everywhere is off putting, i know its symbolic to cyberpunks universe but it strains the eyes, and for locked key bindings that you cant adjust, not having the option to remap the inventory or walk on pc is just insane, probably an oversight though. Finally, It loses points for the bugs and glitches that haven't been ironed out, even with the day one patch.

Overall, this game is so far, is absolutely worth buying and playing in my opinion. If you liked Witcher 3, Fallout, Deus Ex and games of that nature. You will Enjoy it. The gunplay is actually pretty good for an fps rpg, but this game is no Shooter, you will have the disconnect the division has if you expect COD, Rainbow six, ghost recon style gunplay. Headshots dont equal death, there are dice rolls in play and the game is very much an rpg first, shooter second. think Fallout 4 not Battlefield.

PS - I play on pc with an enthusiast level PC. I can run the game on max graphics -rtx set to psycho. Whatever graphical issues and fps issues you may have i am not ignoring, i simply cannot relate to it as i have not experienced it.

+ Gameplay is generally fun and varied depending on how you choose to level up. Stealth, melee, swords, cyberhacking... It's all there!
+ Plenty of side missions, with generally good variety.
+ Looks mostly beautiful if you have a good gig.

    The cons:
    - It's very known now, but the game is incredibly buggy. At one instance, I had to restart a full boss fight that I had a hard time beating because the game decided it doesn't want me to make dialogue choices anymore.
    - Technically, the game is not well polished with inconsistent frame rates and little impact to graphic settings. I was getting generally between 50 and 80FPS. But the game did drop to 40 FPS in some crowded areas. That is on a 2080 GTX without ray tracing mode - but on 2K.
    - The open world aspect of the game is quite lacking and a step backwards from games like GTA. AI is very robotic, the driving is quite dull, and there's not much to do or see in the city. It's unecessarily huge, but very repetitive all over the place with mostly minimal interactions with NPC or things you can do really.
    - The UI is a big mess, including the crafting system. Consumables are mostly useless as well. The quest log doesn't have the concept of sub-quests, and mixes up important ones with things like buying new cars.

I honestly feel the scope of the game wouldn't have been achieved even with multiple more years in development. I can see what the devs are trying to do here, but rather than building many above-average mechanics, they should've focused on the action-RPG part, and focused on a smaller but more dynamic city and minimise the GTA-like concepts.

Even having lower standards for Cyberpunk, this would till be a low rating review. After their wonderful series with The Witcher, CDP have fallen through.

Now here goes for the game review. To give more context when I'll complain about the smoothness of the game: I have a high end gaming PC with a 3080 and i9 9900k and finished the playthrough.

The gameplay is clunky, not smooth at all. Using melee in this game is so hard due to the weird motion blur and the movements being gawky. Fist fighting is unfun as the NPCs basically teleports themselves when they swing a punch.

Bugs, bugs and bugs. The game is so buggy, it feels like it's in alpha stage. The AI is also very "stupid".

The story falls very flat, the main story isn't too bad, the side quests feels useless and without context, unlike in Witcher 3 where the side quests we're basically other stories of their own.

Anyways, I could keep going but this is basically it. The game is awful, I'm giving a 1 just because the game is really beautiful. Can't deny that.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got this game on GoG and I'm running it on an RTX 3090, 64GB ram suffice to say I have not being hard hit by mayor bugs. IT sucks this has been an awful experience for those in current gen consoles.

I'm giving it a 90 because for what it was worth, the game is an amazing experience indeed, very well written side qeust and it seems you don't run out of things to do in Night City. It's all very entertaining

There is a thing or two CDPR could learn from other open world developers like RockStar, who have had plenty of chances to iterate their own environments. Specially when it comes to NCP enemy AI. As Geralt of Rivia, very few people were expected to piss off the guards while you run away from them so it never felt weird to have them spawning behind you while you run away to a distance safe enough for them to chill. NCPD should behave differently. a cool Idea would be to have fixed PD's to function as spawn points across the map when you get a bounty, have drones tracking you down NCPD knowing your location trough street CCTV's systems. Giving you the ability to run away to a safehouse, run out of the district or hacking specific terminals so you can make them go blind on you long enough for them to lose you, just an Idea.

IT seems every quest was designed brilliantly, but the off quest states sometimes can be immersion breaking. There is one main job where you have to attend this huge parade, then run away from Arasaka and NCPD. At first the place was crowed, filled with people. As soon as you exit the building the streets are deserted This could have been easily adverted by having V running to a safehouse to hide until it was safe to be out while the normal map resources load.

For what it was worth this was a huge project to be done from scratch and it shows. Other than that my experience has been amazing and I hope CDPR is able to come around and make it so more people could have the same amazing experience as I had.

Suffice to say, it is very likely their own commitments to shareholders, preorders etcetera is what forced them to keep PS4 and XBOX one versions as POR. Technically the wisest decision should have been cancelling them and making the game next gen only. Due to the unfortunate release window amidst the transition of console generations that would have meant a million or so potential copies unsold. I'm certain technical leads in the company gave that logical solution a thought, so they could focus their efforts in the next gen consoles but that would have enraged shareholders so they were very much in a chokehold. So I do understand their grievances.

Having said that, in my experience this game, in my 15h experience, is flawless. Well optimized, beautiful, has excellent stoty and characters, amazing combat and great concepts implemented with help from Cyberpunk PnmP RPG creators. I'm an old guy, I'm 35 years old and I have played the original PnP, so I was happy to hear CDPR would bring the game to life. The result is a game that in my opinion, will live in Olympus of the RPG genre, along with the likes of BG1/2//ToB/3, Mass Effect 1-2, the NWN and KoTor Bioware games, PF:K (after the big patches) and m y favourite JRPGs, like a couple of FF, Persona and Fire Emblem games. 2020 is a year for RPG lovers. Cheers!

PS. I don't care if the PS4 can't run well this game, it's not a 2013 game. It's not a PS43 review either, so pissed people should make their red reviews ONLY on PS4.

Could the game have used another year of development? In any case. But it's still a good game, especially on PC. Still not a 10 cause of all the bugs, gunplay, (too much loot lol), driving and NPC behavior, latter did Rockstar much better. But, it's a new IP, it's a cyberpunk setting. People in this future have no ability to think critically; instead they’re just further reacting to their childish culture of self-obsessive aesthetics, social status, mass-consumption, chemical abuse, rapacity, de-evolution & poverty. That’s not the future. That is this current limited society – From an American perspective - as always. Euro-Dollars is the height of CDPR’s imagination, & apart from purloining everlasting clichés from the last century, it really has nothing new. This will sit well with all the middle aged wage slaves who are bombarded with nostalgia every 3 minutes.

“Oooh yes I remember that. I haven’t heard that in a while. That reminds me of things I already know about. The Good ol’ days. I don’t have to learn any of this I’m having fun yes.”
Yeh we get it. You miss your childhood & don’t know how to move on. Never mind the fact that it is trite, stale & offers nothing original, innovative, experimental, or inspiring. Nostalgia is a little like celebrating the ability to keep your brain the same size.

The game mechanics are all there as usual. Don’t expect to be blown away by anything other than headshots, customization, & lacklustre upgrades. A tired old formula. Made by geriatrics who are obviously still reminiscing over 80’s Science Fiction which was never taken that seriously in the first place.

The human population feels very hopeless right now. Late-Stage Capitalism has failed all but 2%, we’ve had no social progress trapped inside the Industrial Revolution, Bio-Diversity is in the gutter, Eco-systems are collapsing, and the Climate Emergency currently threatens us with the 6th great extinction as our natural resources are squandered on military posturing. But CD Project Red utterly ignores ALL of that. Because this is about going Back, not forward.
This is the slow crawl out of what has become a stale formulaic generation for gaming. They haven’t realized yet that if you give humans the ability to create a better world, they shall. Instead, CDPR want to make money by pandering to their mental afflictions by building the world they want you to see, full of social-economic decay – priming you all to expect the very worst from the future their generation have arrogated from you in real life.

If you are an old gen user, specifically original ps4 etc. This may not be the best experience. Go in knowing you will not be experienceing the same high quality as late to next gen consoles, which is to be expected. I think people are being too hard on CDPR and expecting too much for the masterpiece they have created. It takes endless hours over years to produce a game of this calibre and there will be bugs but they will also be patched. This has been true with every game in the history of video games. As games get larger and more complex and intricate and offer more, so do you expect the depth of bugs and issues. Accept this, have patience. Or move on. For 80 dollars Canadian. This game has well paid for itself in the fun and enjoyment I have had out of it. I also have no issues supporting a game developer and employees who bust Thier ass to create such a wild game. In closing.. Is it worth it. Yes. Is there some bugs. Yes. Will they be fixed. Yes. Would I pay full price again for this title. Yes. If you are ps4 pro, or ps5 users, pick this up. Headlines look for attention and drama. It is an amazing game, and I believe it will only get better in time, just as the witcher 3 did. Keep it up CDPR Expand

Quests are interesting and story line is great. Now the only elephant in the room, bugs. I personally haven't encountered any game breaking mods in over 30 hours of gameplay. Only minor things. Luckily, the autosave makes sure that you never lose any progress if something happens. Open world rpgs are always bound to have bugs. If you've played fallout or elder scrolls series, you'd know. NPCs feel similar to ones in GTA, and population density is dependent on your graphics settings. For me, this games feels like a mix of fallout, gta, deus ex and witcher. Contrary to what many say, I absolutely love this game. If you have a high end system, you'll have an absolute blast.

The game is not finished: tons of bugs from crashes to broken animations. The world is not finished either (no AI for NPCs or cars, the world is clearly hacked together around the story). The story is good so far (6 hours in), but this game needs another year or more in development.

It's an awesome game built with a level of details I've never seen before. That being said, the console versions do not represent that, it feels like a game that wasn't sure if it wanted to be a current or next gen title, landing in the middle ground and not being an pleasant experience in both. If you ever wanted to become a character in your own bladerunner film then this is it. 90’s cyberpunk books and film deeply influence it’s the world and inner stories of the city, With a decent PC just jump into photo mode and be blown away of the possibilities of creating your own cyberpunk photography.

This game has a lot of flaws (bugs). But the main quest line is extremely engaging. The good; - Great main story with excellent acting & interesting technology & missions - Art design & City is well done -The Soundtrack has great moments.

    The good;

    -The Soundtrack has great moments.

    The OK

-Combat is merely OK, shooting people is alright, but it's choppy with the blades & melee, reminds me of a Bethesda game.
    - Sidequests are fairly boring & don't live up to Witcher 3s quality of writing

    The bad

-Obviously the bugs & they are numerous -Limited character customization after the characters creation, you can't even change hairstyles
-The world lacks immersion & interaction -Stuck in first person you feel distanced from your character -A.I is poor
-Police Spawn out of thin air & everywhere

Thats a quick summary. I'm playing this game for the story & I'm definitely disappointed there isn't more customization & immersion in this game.

While people on consoles and those using less than ideal hardware on PC are not having a great experience due to technical issues, I can confidently say CP2077 is one of the best games I've played in the 3+ decades of gaming I've done. It's a perfect blend of Deus Ex, GTA, Watch Dogs and maybe a little borderlands tossed in as well.

There is an obvious thing with this game; you either love it, or hate it, and it's making it really difficult for me to make a proper statement. Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely a spectacular experience for me, but sadly, it appears that this game should have spent another few months in development.

Night City is beautiful, and in my short gaming history, I can't think of other locations with this much detail. The moment the game lets you walk around by yourself, you're getting instantly bombarded with the colors and neons of this corporate dystopian megalopolis. CD Projekt put an insane amount of love into this game, but it's quickly shown that it was beyond their skills.

Cyberpunk 2077 has the issue of working fine, as long as you do stuff as you were supposed to do. Step outside of this comfy little realm of half-scripted animations and interactions, and you will find glitchy particles, models staying in the air, getting stuck to character's hand despite he already put them away, and your teammates saying two stuff at once, because first they say AI-scripted "Grenade!" and at the same time, the script tells them to say something related to the quest or checkpoint.

But it's not just the bugs, CD Projekt should have spent another few months on optimalization itself. I'm rocking a rather 'weird' combination of parts, as I have Ryzen 5 3600, which is apparently a recommended CPU for even things like Raytracing or High settings, while also having an RX580 as my graphics card, which forces me to turn down some graphic settings. To truly enjoy Night City's vibrant neon flashes, you'll have to bump up these settings, especially light and reflections - trust me, your eyes will feel amazing.

But why such a high score? I expected a game more similar to Dying Light, fun, but outside of the main quest, there are just simple things to do. Cyberpunk 2077 shows that CD Projekt had lots of ambition, delivered us exactly that by giving us lots of actual side quests that are almost the same quality as the main story, if not better in few cases. I was genuinely surprised by the amount of detail given to this game, but it's still sad that the moment you try to think of something the developers did not intend to, you're going to crush against the hard glass floor of 'not enough developement time'.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is buggy yes, but not unplayable - just infuriating at times. More importantly the core game is not broken -> things that really matter: Story, Visuals, Characters / NPCs, Voice acting, etc are all top notch. I think the bugs can be fixed in a month or two, once they release a couple of patches

Have played for 8 hours so far - yes I had to reload saves a couple of times, had to google to find how to get around bugs a couple of times. But have also jumped off a sky scraper, been backstabbed and shot in the head, got to be friends with an NPC - close enough to really feel sad when he died, did a mission impossible style heist .. and oh ya set off a nuke / have keanu reeves trying to take over my brain.

This is an amazing game - takes some time to get used to the systems, but is fun and has an engaging story. If the bugs bother you, just wait for 2-3 months until a couple of patches are released.

I was going to knock off a couple of points for the bugs, but decided to just reduce one to compensate for all the 0 ratings that people have been giving.

To město prostě žije.

V tom případě jsi nudný i ty!

Runs beautiful on PC, played around 10 hours, have found some bugs but nothing affecting gameplay a lot. I love the world, the features are often hard to understand at first glance because they are complex, but when you give it some time you'll start to learn and use them properly and it feels great. I'm so excited to explore and lvl up my char and find out more about the story.

Yes, the scope and size of the city is amazing but you have to wonder if that wasn't too big of a chunk for CD project.

The interface is a the real problem in the game. It's way too complex, not very intuitive and has a long learning curve. It feels like little chunks who were fused together without any real global vision. Riding bikes are way more fun then cars, because the cars feels like riding bikes. The fast travel is a real time saver but it's also fun to ride and discover the city. There is a lot of loots. You can modify and upgrades weapons, armours. You can craft just about anything but it's easier to upgrade then crafting from nothing. The level system is well done but the interface cut the pleasure of it.

The music is the very best. The in car tunes or main soundtrack are great. The presence of Keanu is a good touch. The voices and sounds fits perfectly. However, a lot of NPC have generic one liners. You can talk to everybody but it's a useless option. The combat is fps style and do offer stealth. It works well enough and each weapons has some limitations of their own. I completed the game with all the yellow icons in 62 hours. The ending was good and was kind of open. I give the game 78%. I know the game isn't perfect but I had fun exploring that city.

This is on a 1440p screen with i7-6700k@4.5Ghz, RTX 2080TI, 16GB Ram and M.2 NVME SSD. Now the game does feel smooth even with the fps dips which I would attribute mostly to G-sync doing one heck of a job.

the combat starts really slow and clunky, but gets much better as you level up your skills and get new cyberwares.

The story and quest design are also top notch. Map is insanely big, way bigger than I thought it would be given the level of detail in the buildings and streets (we're talking ac Odyssey big but with more to do in 1 out of the 6 districts than all of odyssey).

However, Big disclaimer, I recommend waiting a few months if you have a ps4, Xbox one (base and S) or even a low-mid range pc (tons of benchmarks for each graphic card online already).
Keep in mind that the game will have a long lifetime with tons of free DLC and paid expansions in the next 1-2 years, in addition to a multiplayer game in 2+ years.

Now if you don't mind playing on low settings with fps ranging between 30-50 on low-mid range pc and worse than that on base consoles (dynamic resolution between 720p-900p with 30 fps dipping as low as 15 frequently and textures not loading fast enough which I would attribute to a combination of slow CPU, low ram which the GPU uses and no SSD), then I would go ahead and buy it.

Keep in mind that the game has insane replay value, so if you are planning on upgrading your pc in the foreseeable future or getting a ps5 or series x/s, you can play a NG+ then or even start a new playthrough.

Overall I think this is a masterpiece which will sadly be trashed by how unpolished it was on launch. But will get better as the Witcher 3 did over its launch period.

Before going on, I am no prude, this game is very mature: murder, kidnap, suicide and all manner of mutilations. If you are going through any personal trauma, it covers some heavy stuff, even before the visceral fight scenes and other adult themes.

I spent an age playing this as a paper roleplaying game (RPG). It came in a minimal black and white box with minimal instructions that set a bleak mood – in this world, you are meat in the grinder. One manner of mutilation or another was normal.

I recall one brilliant bit of art in the manuals – a man staring at his own bionic arm. It did not seem that he was amazed that he had a bionic arm –but as if he was pondering a coat of paint on it or chip on the casing.

Part of the game concept came across as giving up your humanity for the luxury of modernity – giving up your soul for the feeling of having it all at your fingertips.

Also that you aren't superhuman. Characters were human, vulnerable and cunning. The ‘firefight’ combat was initially lethal. It got diluted as add ons to the RPG went on – characters got more overpowered - but the cold lethality of fights (particularly with guns) and the reality of what happens was present.

One ‘solution’ to the violence in the Cyberpunk mythos was signing up to trauma teams who swoop in to save clients. Some games were even based around saving clients and drama spinning off what had got them minced in the first place. This was cold and brilliant.

Most RPGs are about fantasy quests. Playing a character as member of a ambulance crew, security guard or corporate stiff - was unique. The setting was a shootier, techier version of what was in the current news at the time – a feeling that politics was failing, only money mattered and people (even democratic states) just are used one way or the other.

To the computer game, the mood from the RPG is – at heart – spot on. You feel vulnerable for so many reasons: surrounded and lost in the city.

The level of detail and sense of being overwhelmed by all the gaudy (and often lethal) sights on the streets is phenomenal. The contrast also of when you leave the city to the nomad areas is stark. The regions of Night City are brilliantly designed and distinctive.

The visuals are backed up by a complex array of sound effects and a varied soundtrack of music from various sources.

The gameplay for the main story line – as seems to be a ‘thing’ since Fallout 4 – is pretty bland. I will leave it as a ticking clock scenario which never really ticks down. Can’t say more or I’ll ruin it.

The side quests are peppered, however, with the most humorous and touching scenarios I’ve seen in any game. Some of them really tug at the heart strings having profound consequences as well as padding out many of the characters you meet around you.

This is the main strength of the game. The side stories run over the main story line and pick up to each other in imaginative ways. Even if you go into this game as a shooter, I guarantee some of the side quests will make you think and touch you one way or the other. The quality of the story telling in the side quests really notable.

However, the flaws in this game are equally staggering. I have the PC version – meant to be the Rolls Royce of the versions.

It restarted when downloading – raising the download for the game to about 3 days, including the launch patch.

The graphics glitched even when not dealing with big complex action scenes in incredible ways – these are well documented – but characters disappear, levitate, become naked, merge with furniture and continued to do so after the updates. I am up to speed with the downloads as of today.

For a £50 game, it is pretty shameful and whatever high praise I have for this games story it is very poor state to release something so anticipated in – the company must have had a massive amount of pre-orders alone. For shame, CD Projekt Red.

One other thing I have always been a bit weirded out by in computer games about is sex scenes. Similar to this games stable mate The Witcher series, you can get groovy digitally.

I have often been uncomfortable with this as it seems gratuitous, but similar to The Witcher, such trysts done with real thought. No spoilers, but I guarantee if you persist with the characters in this game you will fall in ‘love’ at least one of them. Perhaps even lust.

I mention the last to nail home the strength of the characters spun in this game. It makes no sense that such a massive effort has gone into developing this aspect for it to have such massive technical issues.

When it technically works: the sneaking is as engaging as the combat, the setting is as notable as the set pieces in the game as it unfolds. But it is so sadly flawed by it’s functionality it lets itself down (and CD Projekt Reds customers and fans of the Cyberpunk mythos) so badly.

Yes, I can play Nintendo with peace of mind and feel comfortable. The graphics are not what I expected from this project, but they are definitely great here.
For 30 hours of playing, I have not had a SINGLE departure from the game.
(possibly due to the fact that I updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version)

The plot here explodes the brain so much that I PERSONALLY, closing my eyes to all the bugs, play on. I'm interested in history, the world, its elaboration, and not looking at textures.
Yes, you can say it has a very strong effect on immersion.
But I'll tell you in response, name me at least one game, without bugs, but with the same immersion.

After 30 hours, I was satisfied with the game, even as it was in patch 1.03.
I'm sure the developers will fix a bunch of problems related to the game in the near future, but even now it doesn't feel terrible.

I waited a long time and waited for the game to be released. And finally I played it. She's definitely worth the money.

If bugs are critical for you, wait about half a year, then there will be a minimum of bugs.

    - Soundtrack a dir poco strepitosa.

    Contro:
    - Combattimento melee abbastanza raffazzonato, specialmente quello a mani nude.

You don't get many games like that every year: the gameplay is a combination of GTA (urban open world, driving), Witcher (RPG), Far Cry (shooting), Deux Ex (stealth).

The scenery is gorgeous. This is a very colorful, very futuristic game. A pessimistic setup of a decadent civilization. UI and music join the photograph to offer a really nice immersion. I can't really rate the story, being at the beginning of it, but so far it has been a pleasant mix of big corp, conspiracy theories, secret technology, … You start the game with one of 3 social backgrounds. So I assume the game has some variety when it comes to the stories.

With 20 hours of game, I have unlocked 6% of achievements. There are times when I ride the story, there are times when I take my time, no rush, to walk or drive in the city and try to improve my skills and my character by looting and arresting bad people (bounty hunter kind of jobs). The map shows you a bunch of jobs, with diverse levels of difficulties. This is fun and rewarding. From time to time, you encounter a more difficult opponent and you know you need to go back to your previous district and get better. This is a summary to tell you how easy it is to enter the game, the rest is up to you to master it and deep dive into complexity.

Technically, games of that generation are reaching a level of movie-like quality. Ray tracing is adding an extra layer of aesthetics and immersion, like the bright light when exiting a dark building or tunnel. Cyberpunk is going to be a benchmark for a few years to come.

All in all, this is a unique game, a rare cyberpunk set, a fun mix of open world, shooting and character building. It's the type a game that you start for a quick 30-min play and you end up spending 2 or 3 hours. I tend to believe disappointed people are the ones with too high expectations due to the intense media coverage. Without it, I believe most would have praised the game. If you enjoy the combination of gameplays I mention in my first paragraph and are interested in sci-fi, Night City awaits you.

More than 12 hours and I haven't got a single crash - not one. So, I give my score assuming all the quest bugs are fixed. There are so many people giving low score looking only at bugs and I think this is not the most important part of the game.

The PC version running on almost maximum setting on GTX1080ti with quite constant 50-60 fps and I don't see anything that is not top notch with graphics.

The visuals are perfect, the level of detail is incredible, story so far is good, quests are very interesting, RPG elements are well done, shooting is more than good, driving is good, the sounds are perfect. I don't really see any weak points in the most important areas.

Of course there are some points that can be made about the quite confusing red map, the lack of shortcuts for some important actions like for example holstering your weapon (you have to do it from the circular menu), looting gives hard to see information on what has been looted. Also inventory needs some visual hints on weapon/armor strength and special effects so you don't need to check each one individually. Those are minor points though.
Finally, just give it a bit of time, try to ignore the bugs and it will give you tens if not hundreds of hours of high quality entertainment.

Been playing since it’s release, amazing graphics, sound track and immersion settings. So easy to lose track of time. This is everything I wanted in a cyberpunk game since I was a kid playing the pencil and paper version. Home run gang!

As of this writing, I'm 22 hours in, spending 50% of my time on main mission and 50% on side quests. Here's how things are going so far:

    - PLENTY of quests to keep one engaged (you will get your money's worth)
    - Fantastic character customization options (more on this in a bit)
    - Incredibly detailed environment
    Cons:
    - Though character customization is quite good, it goes to waste because 95% of the time you don't actually see your character and the hard work put into your efforts.
    - Melee combat mechanics are lacking. It's the first-person perspective that makes this difficult in my opinion
    - Vehicle control is unwieldy at best.
    - NPCs that are not a part of the plot are woefully under utilized having zero part in any game play. CDPR missed an opportunity utilizing NPCs for random quests.

Conclusions: I've made these comments in a vacuum. I have not read nor watched any critics' assessments of the game as of this writing (13 Dec 2020). I have found CP2077 to be quite engaging overall; therefore, I like the game more than I dislike it. I am aware of some of the performance issues many players have been having with the game. I've not had any similar issues, but do understand the frustration many are having. I have experienced a few graphical glitches, but nothing game-breaking. I find CP2077 to be a slightly above average RPG albeit with some flaws. If you are an RPG fan, this will be right up your alley. For non-RPG players, wait for it to go on sale. My official rating is 7.5 out of 10, but no half points here, so I have to give it an 8.

One of the most disappointing games ever made. Bug filled nightmare helped hide the mediocre story hidden beneath. Pathetic.

So I've been playing the game since it came out three days ago, and have over 20 hours in. I'm loving the experience so far, minus some of the bugs and issues which hopefully they'll patch. The game is great, if they fix bugs, improve optimizations, we can have the game 10 years. the story is captivating, the atmosphere is absorbing, and the rest is really good. If someone's equipment includes CoD or Gta, it may actually be a disappointment, but if someone needs the RPG specification of the future in the wild. The absolute 10/10 if they fix the bugs will be 11/10. Besides, this is why PS4 PRO and XBOXONE X came out to play on them and not on fat ps4 or xbox one, maybe you'd like it to work on xbox360 and ps3 Expand

After 2,5 years it's still a poor beta. Game started crashing in some menus for no obvious reason. I disabled both Steam and Nvidia overlays, reinstalled the game, changed settings several times, installed new drivers - nothing helps. Unplayable

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
