The best game I have ever played. Addictive from the very first minutes. Of course, it is not free from bugs, but the CDP patches on a regular basis, which is worth emphasizing.

Had a blast playing. There were a lot of bugs but i didn't really mind them. Hope CDPR gets everything fixed because damn this game is **** amazing. Can't give it a 10/10 in this state, but i recommend playing on GeForce now or stadia.

The AI is pretty poor with traffic feeling straight out of a PS2 open world game, NPCs randomly ducking for cover & not particularly reacting to your actions. The police system is a straight up joke with them spawning in from dead ends / solid walls, at one point in the main building they came from my own apartment.. A bigger issue is that they are no real threat, to escape them all you have to do is run quickly in a straight line before they quickly give up this feels like it could have been done so much better with things like police arriving on jetpacks

It suffers greatly when comparing areas like driving/pedestrian & civilian interactions / police chases / & AI to other open world games.

The positives, the story is decent though it feels like the option trees aren't quite as wide or impactful as you would hope in an RPG, the 3 classes choice barely seems to impact the game at all other than a few throwaway dialogue lines.

Whilst the game is no COD, the combat blows other open world games out of the water being quite fun and fluid. The stealth system is about as generic as you'd expect however, the quick hack ability comes off as more of a gimmick than an actual legitimate way to play - far more efficient to go in guns blazing rather than the constant stealth restarts or messing with quick hacks.

If you have the hardware to run it, the game is beautiful

The world is dense and 3 dimensional successfully pulling off an element of verticality that I've not seen in other open world games before. The map becomes even better as you level up your character and obtain cybernetic unlocks allowing greater movement such as double jumps.

When all is said and done, I'm 40 hours in and itching to get back on and play more. Hopefully CDPR improve with patches & DLC down the line, I'd love to see what more they could do to expand and improve this amazing world they have created

a great game that needs some work. Cyberpunk needs work to get 10/10 its in a rough state on the ps4 and xbox one, but once the patches come around this game could be one of the best games in a long time. I myself played it on ps5 and i have to say that it runs great though the graphics are blurry. These things will get fixed with time and the ps5 upgrade is going to look amazing.

The game needed more dev time. I played on PC, 2060 Super I-7 9700k. 40-80 FPS on medium settings with medium RTX, DLSS enabled.

The world is beautiful, and the story and been engaging so far. I am 15 hours in. However, the prologue was pretty boring and takes around 5 hours to get through. Combat is very spongey at the beginning, but as you level up you can kill enemies in 1-3 shots.

Combat is very spongey at the beginning, but as you level up you can kill enemies in 1-3 shots. Around level 10 I actually started to enjoy the combat. Playing on hard difficulty. AI in all areas is pretty terrible. Bugs are very common, although I have only had 1 crash.

My biggest gripe is that the RPG mechanics aren't very good. Perks are simple stat boosts, which while useful, are very boring. Dialogue for V is disappointing, the options are limited. It gives the impression that CDPR and a predefined character in mind when writing V's lines, similar to Geralt from TW3. The whole dialogue system is the same as TW3. However, Geralt was a far more interesting character than V. V was supposed to be a blank slate for the player, but the player is not presented with enough options to flesh out their "own" V.

The radiant open world gameplay is a big short coming too. Do not expect a radiant open world. The city is populated but the interactions with it are limited. Do not expect a Rockstar games experience like GTAV or RDR2.

Driving is alright. If you prefer GTAV driving this feels very different. Closer to GTA IV. Some cars handle terribly and are hard to keep under control. Others actually feel really good. Driving through the city is fun when it works, but don't look for too much depth here. AI limitations limit your interaction through driving.

Once the bugs are ironed out it should be an 8/10 experience. It's a shame because this could have been a 10/10 with more time and a clearer direction.

If you are on console don't buy it for the foreseeable future. The base console versions are barely playable and definitely over sold by the insane marketing push. CPDR should be ashamed for releasing the game on console in their current state.

I will probably put another 20 hours in before I beat the story. I hope it has a satisfying conclusion.

After a while you get used to some glitches and bugs yet they will be patch and become a stable game. I would like to give 10 point but i am not quite sure they gonne make the game as much as they told before realesed. -Old post-
due to this game demands high system, i was expecting a good ai yet i came across with a dead city. there are people walking around, driving car, chat with each other and you are unable to intract with citizen of night city (at least i would like chitchat with some of the ciziten, asking hang out with bar something else like that),

ai movements are surprisingly not natural, buggy, unreacting (when you drop your car middle of the road they can continue to wait until you remove your car). programmed npcs are not loyal to their story (if you hit a disabled person, the person recover from his disable)

i tried to do some side jobs, one of these delivering a guy from in rerfrigator. before i carry the man i checked the area there is noone as hostile yet when i take the guy enemy emerge close to me from nowhere! (that would acceptble in game which is released around 2010)

this game is not an rpg, story is linear. the options which offer to choose is just elevating the quest, not changing directions.

one of my disappointment is unable to use public transportation. i would like see night city at sky train.

close combat is disaster, expect few minor detials very similar to cs 1.6

actually there are more points to elevate that game is still raw and unfinished. what did say to us when they anonunced the game? "coming: when it is ready". their lies start from 2013!

I'm giving it a 3/10 because of the story, there are some awesome quests in this game, but that's all. In fact, large portions of the main story is cut and the promised non-linear quest system is not present. The game has a linear story with fake choices and a few actual choices at the end. Basically, it has less main quest choices than Fallout 4, way less.
It wasn't ready for release in this state, it still needs approx. two years of development. Less than 10% of the promised features an in the game. You can find a list over at Reddit.

    Good things:
    - Cyberpunk aesthetics.
    - City design.
    - That's all.

    Bad things:
    - Story is mediocre and linear with a few shining quests here and there. Most of the time you have zero choices. The non-linear quest system that was promised is NOT in the game, it's just a basic linear game with a few choice at the end.
    - RPG side is underdeveloped. It's essentially a placeholder for something real. **** perks and even **** skill trees.
    - Gameplay (combat) is below mediocre. 4/10.
    - Just to emphasize again there is a serious story related content cut and this unfortunately affects the game greatly. (The first thing you see 30 minutes in is the approx. 5 hours cut at the beginning).
    - Stealth is messy and too easy.
    - Performance issues, even on PC. On console this is abysmal. They shouldn't have released this on current-gen, despite the tears of the console peasants feeding my life force directly even I feel for them.
    - Many, many insane bugs. Just search Youtube for it.
    - Many unfinished features: Citizen AI is non-existent; they walk in straight lines. If you get a wanted level police officers teleport behind you literally. You can see them teleport. NPC driven cars have no real AI, they just follow a predefined path and if they can't then they just stop. Cars also move through walls. LOL
    - The entire city is shallow as **** no activities available.

Small list of stuff they decided to cut:
    - No character history. (There was a deeper character history system in the early demos.)
    - Prologue for character history. Not the 30 minutes long **** currently available leading to the same quest.
    - Character history making an actual difference and not just fake choices which mean nothing.
    - Activities in the city.
    - Deep romance options; only a few ONS.
    - Two prostitues, one male, one female and that's all.
    - Actual RPG mechanics.
    - Combat AI is mediocre.
    - No other AI is present.
    - Deeply non-linear quests.
    - Basic non-linear quests.
    - Actual choices that matter.

Don't buy in it's current state and it's probably never going to be finished unless they spend two years at minimum to actually make the game they promised.

Let's start with the pros. The world design is intriguing and grand. I could spend hours just driving around the city or observing details in the buildings, signs, npcs, etc. Furthermore, many of the quests and characters are interesting and fleshed out. That said, this game isn't the holy grail of combat games. Specifically, the gun controls (kickback and aim) feel a little wonky to me, however, with enough tweaking can be much improved and is quite enjoyable nonetheless. The combat is passable.

My main concern with this game is what seems to me to be a few missing shoo-in features. Why are you not able to customize your character after the prologue? Why can you not take the metro? There's only a couple romance options? Probably cut due to rushing for release date and covid. Just unfortunate scenario and could see this stuff being added back in.

And lastly, is the issue with bugs and performance. For me, these actually haven't been much of an issue only dipping below 60 occasionally in dense scenes and bugs being minor. Occasionally a dead chars body will act strangely, char will disappear briefly, or I'll need to fiddle with objectives to get my quest objective to reappear. Ultimately though, they've been been infrequent (only a few times in 15hrs of play) and haven't really taken away from my experience. I mention it because, while minor in my experience with the game, is not something that would be in a game I rate 10/10.

All in all a very ambitious game that suffered in some areas as a result of that ambition but still delivered in many others. Mentioned flaws above hold it back from anything better than 8 imo but could easily be improved with some patches.

Great game. At the time of writing this comment the game is full of different bugs, but they should be fixed by the future. I haven't encountered any major bugs, mainly just bugs with animations and other "smaller stuff". Main story seems good and the open world is full of different side missions. I have enjoyed the game so far.
Biggest minus points outside of bugs are AI and driving.

Biggest minus points outside of bugs are AI and driving. Cyberpunk's NPC are most likely the stupidest I have ever encountered. They lack any logic and don't feel real at all. For example when you shoot at air about half of the NPCs in the area just continue doing their think ignoring everything while other half just stays still while crouching and seem scared. Absolutely terrible AI in my opinion. Driving also feels really bad compared to a lot of other games and is some times just pain in the a**. Driving just doesn't feel satisfying at all. Maybe this is just a personal preference.
Even though this game has good amount of flaws it' still a good game and deserves 8/10 in my opinion. Expectations were really high for a lot of people.

I really want to give this game a fair shake, but the level of bugs on display should make Bethesda blush. I have never seen a game released in such a broken state since Anthem. I can't believe I have to write that, but it's true. Is there a brilliant game lying under all these bugs? No. Even if it were perfect and bug free this game is not over an 8/10. Why? Read on.

The gameplay systems on offer are completely unbalanced, broken, and appear to be barely playtested. You can combine stat bonus using both multipliers and percentages in infinite loops, completely breaking the damage and leveling curve. You can, at very near the beginning of the game, create a pistol with the damage of a nuclear missile. Stealth is very difficult in the early game, and near impossible. You can maybe stealth around a couple of guys, but then everyone ends up alerted and there is no reset for that to go back into cover or lose them. In the late game, stealth becomes so easy, you can just blind everyone and walk past them. There is no middle ground.

Crafting is utterly useless, as they basically created a looter-shooter, not a RPG. You are always just using whatever gun has the highest stats, and whatever you pickup is always more powerful than anything you can craft. The currency is completely unbalanced. Everything cool in this game isn't really purchasable until there is no time left to actually use any of it. Stat checks throughout the game are generally so low, that even min-maxing a character will result in you passing them with your lowest spec'd stats. Half of this game you are driving around, and the driving is the worst in any open world game I have ever seen. It's so bad you will either laugh or cry your way through the game, every time you get in a vehicle.

Then we get to the story. Yeah, there are some good story beats, interesting twists, but the payoff in any of the endings (I've seen them all, thanks to YouTube), feel very weak. Impossible for me to give detail without spoiling it, so I won't. Only to say that, Keanu is just wrongly cast in this as a really unlikable anti-hero that just wants to watch the world burn. At the end of the game, everything feels so pointless, like you only ever had the illusion of control throughout the experience. "It's about the journey, not the end" I hear you saying. For the time you spend with this game, much of it is very unexciting with your typical fetch quests for characters you don't care about. There are one or two standouts, and some great performances on display, but everyone in this world is just horrible, and that seems to be the point.

The real thing that rubs me wrong is just the state that this was released in. Playing through this game right now is an exercise in futility. I had to reload my saves so many times for stupid, stupid bugs. Things like broken missions, gun spec pop-ups stuck on the screen, unkillable enemies, and experienced 9 crashes across my playthrough. Performance on my 2070 Super, which should be no slouch is 1440p is just unbearable, I constantly saw drops below 30 fps when roaming, and never could hit 60 locked in any area of the game. I'm all for ambition, but you can't build a game for PCs and video cards that aren't even out yet. Your base experience needs to at least be playable.

People point to Witcher 3 having bugs, and how CDPR was so dedicated to fixing it. This is very, very different. Witcher 3 was NOTHING like this on launch. This game is in an unplayable state that most Early Access games exceed. If you dip your toe in the water, keep that refund timer running, because I do think you will refund this game, as many are. Please don't buy this game right now, wait for the developer to at least patch it to a level that lets you experience it as it was intended. This is absolutely a Fallout 76 / Anthem / No Man's Sky moment, and it is very sad to see that from a well respected developer. My, how the mighty have fallen.

Gun combat feels slow to start, there is some lack in gameplay changing build options, cops are stupidly strong so no GTA like fun, your build doesn't feel like it matters early on, there's a lack of ongoing character customization through a barber/plastic surgery/clothing with the same stats, there are some funny generally minor bugs on PC, and the game starts off a bit too much on rails rather than let you go free as quickly as an open world game like Skyrim. I expected more sex (prostitutes and even one night stands with random NPCs), cosmetic clothing options, a barber/stylist, optional build abilities (like arm cybernetics or throwing knives) to be much better, to be able to hack more random people/machines for fun and profit, and to encounter more fun random **** with NPCs by walking every 30 meters in the city.

Back to the good stuff: the world feels right out of awesome dystopia scifi movies, I loved the characters, hand to hand combat with a blade works really well, hacking is fun, driving is fun, gunplay has kick and is responsive even if the damage is low to start, must of the bugs are just funny, and there are quite a lot of random things to do.

I haven't played through the entire game yet. This is my early impressions review so far a few hours in. I will try to revise it later. Summary: It's well worth it an RPG like Skyrim and Deus Ex, it's buggy right now, it's really not GTA if that's what you were looking for.

It's an 8.5 for me. The story, is good. Start is slow, but it gets going later on. A lot of the side quests are really good, but have little tie in to main story line, if any at all. The gun play is meh; it's not unplayable bad, but it's definitely not in my top 20 of games with guns. It's not a MUST buy for anyone and everyone, for sure; but it may be worth a visit. Expand

This is for the PC version, so if you own a console get out.
The story and RPG elements are perfect for me, but lacks as a open-world in terms of IA.
At this point the game is a bit buggy, if CDPR continue to working on it and add quality stuff to make the game better then its a 10/10.
But for now we must wait.

Последний патч вроде бы подправил ситуацию.

Na PC w zasadzie działa całkiem w porządku. Bugi oczywiście są, ale nie utrudniają rozgrywki. Do poprawy w łatkach. Świetny setting, fantastyczna budowa świata, interesująca historia. Dostałem to, czego się spodziewałem. Nie jest doskonała stąd ocena nie maksymalna..

Really good game I have played it to completion and only encountered one bug ik which trees would glitch through characters and buildings that all I had to do is edit the render distance and it was fixed i don’t understand why this game is getting reviewed bombed it’s a really good game and people should enjoy it. The reason I gave it a 8/10 is because I have heard of some bugs and it doesn’t run the well on last gen (I played it on pc) but besides that the story, the rpg elements, and gameplay are amazing. My favorite part of the game is Johnny silverhand and the bond that u form with him and the choice at the end of the game. Overall probably my second favorite game of 2020 behind ghost of tsushima. If u can run it on pc or have new gen consoles I would highly recommend getting it and experiencing it. If u have old gen or a pc that can’t run it I would wait for the bugs to get patched but every gamer should experience this game. Expand

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
