Very immersive, fun game to play on pc. The city is soo breathtaking that sometimes I’ll just walk instead of drive to go to quest markers. Never even used fast travel, which IMO gets rid of the immersive feeling. The combat is alright, but I really enjoy hacking/breaching enemies with stealth. I do feel that the NPC interaction is somewhat lacking. And I wish there was more romance lol.Very immersive, fun game to play on pc. Before purchase as of /12/13/20, be warned that you are rolling a 50/50-dice of a positive or negative technical experience. For PC I'd say it's a 9/10 or a high 8/10, and for console it's a high 7- close to a 8 depending on your generation of console; For example, Xbox One S generation faces a low 7/10 for some major graphical and overall performance issues. Again, all patch-able, but not good for a three delayed start of an launch for a game like CP77.
In conclusion, this is a beautiful game that was obviously developed with an overwhelming of passion for this fictional dystopian future world of Cyberpunk 2077. If you're looking to be whatever you want in a Bladerunner esque future and possibly **** up ya mind by taking your character down a Lawnmower Man path, or be a Hitman kinda guy; whoever it is that you desire to be, CP77 has it for you. You'll have a blast even with the inconveniences that are there in it's launch.
I hope you enjoy this game if you have it already or when you do pick it up; There is plenty more to discuss about, but I believe I put together what there is to basically expect from its launch version. Enjoy!!

This game has so much to do you might not finish the main story at all. Though the graphics are some what down graded on a base Xbox One and a PS5 the world is still breathtaking. Only a few bugs and my game only crashed twice with my twenty plus hours of game play this game so worth the wait.

Cyberpunk 2077 manages to deliver a story that recognizes it's roots as a TTRPG but doesn't limit itself because of those roots. Very solid character and world building lead to a memorable experience. Only thing holding it back from a 10 is the fact of bugs and some shsstems in combat and interaction not being fleshed out to it's fullest.

I played it on ps5 and pc. The console version is not that nice, especially in open areas ugly and low fps.

As an rpg i am most intrested in the missions , the variety , story line , choices and quantity and in this game should we ignore the main quests cause i do not want to qpoil , the side missions are mind blowing , the variety in them the story behind them the characters and relationships you build that unlock diffrent paths in the main quests is amazing , from races to fighging championships to stealing stuff to going on dates to sitting around fire and drinking in the name od the lost ones waw just waw , i found myself pulling up my phone to call characters cause i was so invested in the rest od their side mission story . There is no need to talk about night city we all saw that and i think even the haters are impressed with the pure genius behind it , the variety of places the verticality of it , just awesome really , and i only fast traveled once in about 20 hrs of gameplay cuz i was that much enjoying riding my bike oe car around the beautiful town with the amazing driving controls just drifting around corners . Granted the game could feel a bit too much at first lots of stuff to take in lots of items here and there combats feels soo diffrznt to other fps games and so on but trust me give it some time till you get your mission with silverhand and by then youll love it . Do all in all go buy the game and don second guess it youll have a great experience (ps am playing on stadia so i dunno bout that console thingy goin and i can say stadia version is smooth) Expand

The game looks amazing but as a result it runs poorly for most people which is part of the reason I will not give the game a 10 in its current state. another reason is the amount of bugs present, personally I havent encountered anything game breaking but definetly a couple immersion breaking bugs. I think the game is getting more hate than it deserves though, most likely due to all the hype and that people who don't really like this type of game are playing it anyway just because of how popular it is.

To sum up my review when the game is working and running properly it is absolutely breathtaking. especially if you take the time to do some of the side missions to help further connections with some of the characters. But the game does have an ugly side, being the present bugs but I have no doubts that CDPR will do everything they can to fix the asap.

Almost 30 hours in, this feels like the best game I've played in years. Certainly, some of my expectations did not meet reality, but they do not diminish the accomplishments of CDPR and its dev team on this game.

Almost 30 hours in, this feels like the best game I've played in years. Certainly, some of my expectations did not meet reality, but they do not diminish the accomplishments of CDPR and its dev team on this game.
Bugs are present, and perhaps a new release, focused on an early 2021 launch, would do the game much better and present it to the world as it should have been: the most ambitious game of this generation, a deservingly ending for it. However, they do not interfere with gameplay, and as they give the game a feeling of "unfinishedness", it still manages to achieve what it has set to do. Note, however, what it has set to do is not necessarily what some people would have expected from it.
Marketing was misleading, indeed, and yet, the more serious and rational conversations surrounding the game were realistic. That came from the community, not from CDPR. Those folks in the community, I expect, were not disappointed in the slightest, perhaps if so, only by the bugginess still present even with the 1.04 patch. Once the game is finished, however, it will feel 100% as it's supposed to, not just 90%.
Still, I shall not engage with the negative reviews here seen. Believe me when I say it: There is absolutely no way you can evaluate this game that's not above a 6,5/10 score and still make yourself out to be honest. And trust me, you'll only get that score if you overinflate the issues, and diminish the achievements, which might as well be personal taste, but can too, be dishonesty and perhaps a tad of personal bitterness. Take note, the achievements heavily outweigh the issues.
As CDPR continues working on Cyberpunk 2077, I expect it to become the most highly-achieving product of the later 2010s. Expect DLCs to be amazing, and patches to be incredible. However, CDPR needs to seriously rethink its strategy, how they deal with the public, how they manage hype, and how they manage their own projects and employees. Certainly, this game is not deserving of a Best Director award. Nonetheless, the dev team has made it a gem of the most precious kind, even if unpolished for now.
Still, a couple of features are missing, but not those that people usually complained about. The game does not need car customization, it does not need more apartments, but it does need in-game character customization. Which is odd to lack for such a game.
Now for the positive: everything else.
CDPR has gilded the genre of RPG with Cyberpunk 2077. The dialogues are extremely good, and the quests and story surpass even the highest possible expectation. Characters are deep, complex, and feel real. Night City feels real, a living, breathing gigantic organism that is indeed a character in the game. The game is rich, feels alive, and feels like what the next generation should be about. Other companies making RPGs are seriously in trouble now if it's expected of them to achieve the standard CDPR has set with Cyberpunk for this new generation.
Without spoiling, this game will take you to places you never imagines possible from the beginning, and you'll be at the edge of your city. As always, hang in there for the prologue to finish, once it does, you're in for the most delightful treat gaming could ever offer.
The sometimes overwhelming options and possibilities are easy to get used to, and once you set a path for yourself and your character, the city becomes the scenario of your most ambitious project for fun. Filled with surprises, details that cater to everyone, Night City is for you, but also not. It's for everyone in its own way. Cyberpunk is the next step towards RPG, and it dared not taking a step only, but a leap. A leap that fell short on landing, but is still the world record so far.
Go on, take part on that leap yourself. Feel the wind against your face, and the adrenaline rush you're definitely going to have. Beware of the landing and the initial bugs and glitches, but do note, however, that they do not make it any less amazing than what it's set to be. Be prepared, have a decent rig, and dive into this amazing achievement by the team behind its making. Don't worry, you'll love it.

So far I'm really impressed. It looks amazing, it's stable, the story so far is absolutely unique.. It runs like a pig on a 3080 at 4k, but it's a next gen title.. I'd give it a few decimal points off for some visual glitches and that there's no character reflections.. Why give us such a large scope to customise our character if we can basically never see them?

Currently playing this on Series X and so far (fingers crossed) it's been pretty bug free. I do think an optimised version of this would have helped it as there is parts of the game which do look outdated, but I don't mind it that much. So far it feels extremely immersive and an RPG which I feel I will be dipping in and out of for years to come.

Now, as a disclaimer (and insight into my subjective opinion), some of my favorite games have been bethesda games, specifically Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim. So maybe i have a stockholm syndrome with bugs, but they don't bother me that much. What I am trying to say here is that bugs are not fun, but If there is a well designed game beneath those bugs, I am willing to look past it. Its much harder to change a games core design rather than patch bugs. Now getting on to the review.

Cyberpunk is a very very impressive game, with some very noticeable, but serviceable issues. Let's start with the most glaring issues:

    - Ai is lacking. Most noticeably for me is the police AI, which spawns around you when you get stars, and wont chase you past a few blocks. Makes me believe that there is no driving AI.

    - Bugs. Most common in my playthough have been NPC's walking through objects/general collision failure. Additionally, One time I got stuck in geometry and had to load a save a few minutes earlier, and I have had one crash to desktop with approx. 25 hours played.

-Performance. I have a 1080 TI, 16 gb of ram, a I7 8700k, and a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor. Generally, I have to run the game on medium to reach even 50 fps average. This is not well optimized.

Now onto what I deem to be the good parts of the game that make it a 9/10 regardless for me.

    - Jaw-dropping world-design. Honestly, I really don't get the complaints about how the city feels empty. The sidewalks are constantly bustling with NPCs, and the architecture of night city is so well thought out and feels so believable that I have spent hours traversing the city on foot. It feels to me like a real dystopian city that could be lived in.

    - Characters and story-telling. I couldn't engage with the witcher 3, but I could appreciate how good of a game it was through its story and characters. Same deal with Cyberpunk. The characters are believeable, they feel human, and you get attached. The story is well thought out and makes for an enjoyable RPG experience.

-Gameplay. This might be a controversial one, But I like the gameplay in Cyberpunk. When I compare this game to something in my head, I tend to compare it to Deus Ex or Fallout. And I believe it supercedes either game vastly in the breadth of its character design (stat distribution) and just general design of core gameplay loop.

-Gameplay Pt 2. Like Deus Ex, Cyberpunk gives you a lot of freedom in how you approach your problems. Do you wanna hack your enemies to commit suicide and turn all enemy turrets friendly? Do you want to stealth through missions without alerting anyone? Want to go hog wild and beat everyone in visible sight to death with your cybernetic gorilla arms? Its all possible, and this is the part that will most likely keep me playing even after I complete it.

-Graphics. As mentioned before I am running a 1080 Ti with 16 gb of Ram and a i7-8700k at 3440x1440. So with all of this I generally prefer a higher framerate than the most minute improvements in graphics, and I can tell you that even on medium or even low, the game world looks absolutely stunning. There are times where I just stop driving or whatever I'm doing just to admire the graphical fidelity and environmental detiail.

-Personal Bias? I love the genre of cyberpunk, and all the critiques it holds of our modern society. So this is why I dont understand when people say that this game isn't on brand or faithful to the genre. There's a line early on about how full prisons are, a notable jab at current insitutions. In addition many of the commericials and satire in the game tend to remind me of cyberpunk novels like that of snowcrash. I can't really comment on what cyberpunk really has to say until I finish the game, but I am satisfied with what is has said so far, in regards to the current systems we live under.

Overall, I really love cyberpunk. The bugs aren't that bad. Having to play on low doesn't really bother me because the game still looks great. The story is engaging and the characters make you want to care about them. The core gameplay loop may be a lil week at the beginning, but as with any other RPG, once you get your build rolling, everything opens ups. I've been getting lost in the world, and I suggest you do too.

One final note: I don't understand the comparisons between this game and GTA. This is an open-world RPG in the vein of the Witcher, fallout, or deus ex. And I think it nails the feeling of those games perfectly in a cyberpunk world. This game perfectly meets my expectations, and those were that it would be great.

Cyberpunks biggest advantage is night city and the world ist astonishing, I can’t really make out how the bad reviews blame the city being dead, it’s not as alive as the demo from years ago but it’s very much alive and not cut down such as anthem..

Gunplay and gameplay in general is also great, didn’t expect such good gunplay from an RPG.

Progression and character levelling feels good, you have a rich skill tree to build your character.

And last but not least the story which is so well, I’m 30 hours in and only finished the prolog and a bit of the quests after..
Cyberpunk is fantastic and did deliver 100% for me.

The game however should be treated as a next gen release and a pc game for mid to high range pcs.

Don’t try to run this game on a gtx 980 and expect steady 60fps in the buzzing city centre.

All in all my Game of the year by far ! For me it’s a true masterpiece. Experience it for yourself and don’t be scared away by the anger of those who just have too bad pcs and blame it on the game not having miracle optimisation to run it on a launch PS4 that can’t even run gta 5 smoothly. Don’t be unrealistic.

If you, however have a good pc or a next gen console, this game is a must have and you will sink hundreds of hours into it! Enjoy!

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
