Perfect game with perfect story without bugs. On my PC (Ryzen 5 2600@3.4; GTX1650 Super; RAM 16GB@3000) average FPS 43. :)

I finished the game. Took me around 35 hours with some side quests done but not all. Probably could finish all the rest in 20 additional hours or so.

I'm going to make it short: until the very end, there are no choices that matter. Only your decisions in the final mission really make a difference... for nothing, because you can't remain in the world of Cyberpunk post-ending. This lack of continuity, in which you can't remain in this game after all is done and waiting for future content while you do side quests and additional content, is what bothers me most. The game will force you to return to a save state previous to the final mission. You can't see how the world of Cyberpunk lives on after your story, or should I say, the story of Johnny Silverhand? Because most of the time it feels like they are forced to give him more protagonism since "he is Keanu Reeves".

Being first-person only even strengthens this feeling that you are just there watching how things happen in front of you, without much to do there.

There is only 1 light machine gun and 1 heavy machine gun in the game. You can't customize your cybernetic implants and see them, because you never see your character.

I think the development of this game started to go downhill the moment they decided to make it an FPS. Most of the time it does not feel like an actual RPG, and you feel like you're just playing some sort of futuristic first-person GTA.

The problem with this game is that many of the things that they kept promising over the years are just not there. And as a consequence, the players feel scammed.

You can't upgrade or customize your cars, or your house, most of the nicest vehicles in the game, you can't have them. Some of them, you can't even drive them. 90% of the doors are locked and there is no way to unlock them. Not even with the tech skill that is supposed to do exactly that. I came to realize that the content is just not there, so the game can't show you what's inside.

When you see all those amazing flying vehicles, you start to think that later in the game, you will be flying them in this so-called "vertical" city. But nope. You never pilot or have anything of the sort in your possession.

In the end, you can't promise so much and give so little. And the little you give, so buggy. I am left disappointed because it lacks continuity and that's not what gamers expect today. They created a 2012 game in 2020, so I can't stop thinking maybe CDPR was never the right developer for this game. Other studios could probably do better.

Incredible photorealistic graphics, especially with reshade it is above RayTracing, along with content behind every corner, convincing story and stunning gameplay.
Thank you for making this game we can see all the love that went into it, this is a masterpiece for PC!
The game never yet stopped me in solving quests my way, i have only yet seen that in original Deus Ex and exploration

The game never yet stopped me in solving quests my way, i have only yet seen that in original Deus Ex and exploration gets very interesting as level design is off the charts. There are unique items along with legendary craftable options, and combat feels thrilling along with stealth and hacking.
The world is simply put incredible, it varies and you can see so many interesting things, might just walk or drive down the street and have fun without even interacting with the world.
So many little things added that spice up the game, and hopefully more will come.
    Thank you CDPR developers.
There are tons of reviews here written with unreasonable anger by console users, people who never played the game, and people who can not play it since it requires strong/expensive computers and consoles and maybe people who had imagined the game would have even more features.
Irony is, i never asked for the game to be rushed, and those same people who were part of the hype are now part of the drama.
Have fun gaming guys and have a great time durring holidays ;)

This is complicated to review. Underneath this somewhat disastrous launch is a truly remarkable game. It’s unfortunate that they completely mislead consumers with last gen performance but I’m confident CDPR will fix it in due time.

Cyberpunk is an unremarkable, cynical, poorly written, obnoxious game. Even without all the bugs, it fails on all counts. The shooting is not good, the game design is tedious, the world is dirty and ugly, and the body horror is exhausting. The music is truly truly awful. It claims to be an rpg but provides no classes, few customization options, and doesn't even let you pick a name. Deus ExCyberpunk is an unremarkable, cynical, poorly written, obnoxious game. The character creator is also gimmicky, and is far worse than many older games even. The world building is idiotic. I find myself rolling my eyes fairly regularly. Also, apparently in the future everyone looks like gigantic jack-wagon. Not a good game. Admittedly, I had very little good will going into this given the games edgelord marketing, (a context that makes the whole Bladerunner "Edgerunner" ripoff even more ridiculous) and I have to say it is somewhat vindicating to watch CDPR fail so spectacularly. They named one of the first characters you meet "Pepe". Bite me. I played this on a beefy computer. I am significantly above recommended specs. Even with that the game is profoundly broken. It just looks awful. Do not spend money on this, do not encourage CDPR. They need to be put in timeout for squirting out this demon-seed. It's not the worst game of all time, but taken as a whole, it is awful. Play something else. It is repulsive and idiotic. As I write this, Jackie's chopstick has just frozen in mid air. Expand

    Pros
NightCity cannot be underestimated as a living breathing character in the game. Graphics are inspiring; the character models are the best I've ever seen. Characters and dialogue is great

    Gunplay is fantastic.

Side quests can be amazing. Cons
NPCs are not believable, not even close. Story isn't that good.

Combat ai is not great. RPG elements are not deep or meaningful.

Every time you play this game and some extreme bug ruins the gameplay, every time you see NPC's vanishing into thin air, every time there's absolutely nothing to do in this empty open-world, just remember, they took 8 years to make this game and promoted it as "next generation of open world games". Just saying.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a wasted opportunity

This game is a total mess. But you already know that most likely. That's not the worst part for me though, bugs can be patched, glitches can be fixed. The worst part is that the game does nothing new AT ALL with the genre whatsoever. But let's talk about pros and cons real quick

    Pros:
1: The world feels lively enough when it doesn't just outright glitch

2: There are some actually well written characters that are also voiced really well and actually make you feel a connection with them at times.

3: The holo (cellphone basically) function where npc's will message you even to send you a pic of their vacations (although rather rare) makes it feel like you actually play a living world

4: build variety is really good actually, you can play most things unless you play on the highest difficulty (I wouldn't recommend going for a blade build for example)

5: driving feels good and cars actually drive differently enough with each other so choosing the one you like actually feels like a choice rather than a coat of paint.

6: (spoilers in this one avoid if you don't want to know what you choose before you start the game) Lifepaths actually change how you perceive the world and open up different dialogue options depending on the situation.

    Cons:
1: Bugs up the ass for this release, there is a bug or a glitch associated with any part of the game.

2: Guns and gunplay are serviceable at best and just do what they are supposed to do rather than being fun, which is a shame cause the game is really focused on combat.

3: V's voice actinging (male) is trash tier and completely kills the experience for me, I've never played an RPG where I wished my character just shut the **** up actually almost killed the game for me.

4: (minor con for me and spoiler) why are character romances locked based on gender in this game of all games? I'd understand it if there was previous material, like a book, dictating it and I would support it but as far as I know there isn't any. So what's the point? Just let the player choose how they want to handle the situation. I just don't get why would you go through the trouble of coding that extra line of code

5: A lot of the story and character building feels rushed to me which makes certain characters difficult to like, you don't dislike them per se, you just don't really care about them. Which is a problem when the character is a main character to the storyline.

6: AI is pretty bad but I don't want to talk too much about it as I don't know if they just coded it like that or if it is a bug.

7: does nothing new with the genre at all. it's the same old open world exploration game with some good storylines and side quests and a lot of chores for you to do. Choices mostly boil down to who you kill and what loot are you going to get.

That does it for the pros and cons. Now, I would like to talk about the storyline as you can't just toss it in the pros or cons category in my opinion and be done with it and also, that's where most spoilers are going to be. So if you want the short version here goes: The story is a mixed bag I'd say it's mostly ok to good but the protagonists voice acting is so terrible it just punched me out of my immersion every time. Long version is that there are quite a few well written characters with very good voice acting and enjoyable side quests and main quests alike. A prime example would be Judy Alvarez. Amazing voice actor, well written and defined character with plans and desires of their own. Same goes for characters such as Jackie Welles who dies too soon and is forgotten for the rest of the game basically.

Characters like Panam and Rivers on the other hand have good voice acting but their quests feel a bit rushed. for example in the case of Rivers, you go from strangers to buddy buddies in no time whatsoever and without an real reason really, comes completely out of the blue and feels as if you are missing a couple of missions together before the game has earned it. Panam is different, she gets a lot of character development and you do a lot of missions together since she is part of the main mission but I still didn't feel that attached to this character. Feels too much like a trope. But she is good overall. V's acting (male) is garbage tier and throws me out of the game all the time. The lines he delivers the way he delivers them just feel robotic and frankly like something an alien trying to be human would say. Johnny overstays his welcome and tries to give the game a false sense of urgency that's lost the moment you stop to grind some levels or do some side quests.

All and all the game does nothing new with the setting or the genre if you've played an open world game you've played this one too the difference is that it feels like there are two writing teams in cdpr the good one and the one that did V's writing I'd give this game a 7,5 without the bugs 3-4 with them in. Grab it on a sale or something

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
