Despite the bugs, the fascinating plot and details, and the high sense of substitution, I like this game.

Often buggy, always dull. Mediocre in every regard. Combat is clumsy, dialogue is uninteresting, choice is an illusion, and the open world is extraordinarily shallow.
Even with maxed graphics and ray tracing settings, the visuals are inconsistent and at times disappointing.
Cyberpunk 2077 feels like an immature effort from a studio with more money than experience. I'll revisit it if

Buggy ass game. Do not waste your money on this.

The world feels empty, Driving is clunky AF, constant crashing, Missions are boring as hell.

Aside the bugs the game is exactly what I was expecting it to be, judging from the gameplay footage, trailers and so on. The story is good, decent amount of side quests and things to do in the game. I think the game was released too early for general audience, so I recommend to wait some time and play after the major bugs are fixed.

Story - very good, characters - very good, music - great, driving a car - different than in GTA more "heavy" less arcade more realistic - great for me, the only thing you can fault is optimization and AI - because it's average, varied side quest,

A very compelling story with great voice actors. Rpg mechanics are on point and what you’d expect from CDPR. Combat feels great and fluid with tons of different options. I haven’t experienced any bugs that everyone’s talking about and I’m on a relatively mediocre pc.

Already delivered 25+ hours to the game and only encountered one T-posing NPC. Exploring and side quests are fun (btw, fix the driving). Bugs are something CDPR can easily fix, game has an incredible potential.

The game is a game. The mechanics of it are pretty shallow overall. It's also essentially "The Witcher 3" in a cyberpunk form... which works for a medieval landscape with compelling characters and plotlines, with vast fields to explore and deep lore. But it does not work for a city filled with what should be interactable people, locations, activities, etc.

But it does not work for a city filled with what should be interactable people, locations, activities, etc.

The lack of compelling AI, likable characters in a shallow story with little player impact, and a hollow, open-world make this a bit bizarre. Melee combat has no weight. Gunplay is just at the bar of playable. The UI, keybinds, etcetera are a total mess. And the RPG elements might as well not exist—the whole game reeks of something that needed another year or two. It has some nice graphics if you have a beefy rig.

But even then, much of the gloss and glimmer appears like tacky neon-lit plastic. It's disappointing. Still, it's a mostly playable game (I have had around 4 crashes across 20 hours, one of which forcibly shut down my machine, which for having an i9 / 2080 RTX is somewhat crazy).

I would not recommend it in its current state as much more than that. A barely playable amalgam of hopes and dreams without the punch of a great story or flare of a dynamic, thrilling cyberpunk world. What good it has is squandered by hollow spectacle without much depth.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's very hard for me to admit this because I love this game and have played it for ~20 hours so far, but it is painfully average. No, I'm not just talking about the technical issues (bugs, glitches etc), those can be fixed in time and can be forgiven by the majority of players if the game is good. I'm talking about the core RP elements that are nonexistent and/or missing, some of which should've been in the game but were clearly taken out because of its current state.

Personally, I think CDPR shot themselves in the foot when they decided to go 1st-person view. Because in 1st-person the focus is heavy on animations and immersion, many of which are lacking in this game. I'd guess another year of development would turn this game into the RPG we were promised, but that's just an opinion. Furthermore, I have full faith in CDPR to turn this into a masterpiece, long as they don't give up on it.

So, what do I mean by nonexistent/missing core RP elements? well let's go through a list I compiled using sources from reddit threads. All credit goes to reddit. Also, I'm excluding the scripted RP elements, such as story mission elements.

    Quality of Life:
    - Missing key remapping for many elements.
    - Missing key separation for many elements, such as dash, crouch and skip dialogue.
    - Missing the ability to respec attributes, not just perks.
    - Missing loot by area and autoloot features.
    - Missing 'stash all' key.
    - Missing 'tabs' in character creation window, currently all options are ordered as a list.

    Immersion:
    - Missing body slider customization, such as height, weight and muscle mass.
    - Missing animations for eating, drinking, picking up items, installing cybernetics (limbs and chips), opening doors/windows/boxes, and also missing many interactive items such as chairs, benches, toilets, gym equipment, showers, smartphones, taxis, dumpsters, dancing floors, arcades and gaming tables. You might consider those redundant, but for a 1st-person perspective they can help a lot to immerse you in the character you're playing.
    - Missing vehicle and/or apartment customization.
    - Missing cosmetic slots and/or transmog.
    - Missing garages and/or parking lots.
    - The main character, V, has a lackluster personality and it's very hard to construct a meaningful one. As a player you get to make choices that affect the ending, but as V you have no persona.
    - Missing appearance shops, such as barbershops, tattoo parlors and plastic surgeons.
    - Very few character reflection elements in game, such as mirrors here and there.
    - Missing preview option for wardrobe and weapon purchases.

    Gameplay
    - I haven't looked into this, but apparently you can only own 1 apartment? so I guess, missing variety and quantity of apartments that you, V, should be able to buy and own. Feel free to correct me on this.
    - Npcs and crowds have almost no reaction and awareness to the world, except cussing at you or running away. Furthermore, there are very few interactive npcs outside of missions and side quests.
    - A huge lack of non-action, story oriented quests that go deep into the themes of the Cyberpunk dystopia.
    - Perk trees are, for the most part, redundant. They don't introduce game-changing features, instead most of them are just numerical improvements to combat.
    - There is a short amount of dynamic events and triggers in the game world, most of which are also not varied.
    - There is no ownership of items, besides the items that you, V, own. You can steal everything without any issues. Furthermore, there is no prison and/or crime system to complement that.
    - The 'wanted system' is underdeveloped, NCPD spawns out of thin air to attack you when you are wanted and disappears after.
    - Current sets of cybernetics lack variety that can alter the gameplay, except for the limb weapons most cybernetics are numerical improvements.
    - The lifepaths are brief and irrelevant. They have little impact other than some dialogue choices and your V is the same character regardless of chosen lifepath.
    - The loot system is overdone and uninteresting, you can find somewhat better items almost everywhere and you can't form an attachment to your weapons and fashion choices.
    - The stealth system often forces you to commit to frontal assault, instead of sneaking your way through.
    - The 'verticality' is quite lacking, most buildings are closed and there are few options to flank your enemies from different directions using verticality.
    - Train infrastructure is visible, yet there are no trains that I've come across. Correct me on this if you have.

That's it for now, feel free to add your own. I hope this review gives you an idea of the game and hopefully we'll see some changes from CDPR in 2021.

Few words about Cyberpunk 2077. In the beginning, I need to say something to everyone who compares it to eg. GTA series. Cyberpunk is an RPG game! Not an open-world adventure-sandbox.
    Let's start with advantages:
    1. The story must have been written by a genius, it's breathtaking. Great dialogues. I already have 25hrs in the game (two days after the game release) and I can't stop

    2. Levels, Stats, Ups, and character development are brilliant.
    3. Fighting system is great. I love cutting out enemies' heads or arms.
    4. I really like the number of missions, side quests, and grinding.
There is everything that the great RPG needs.
Now let's talk about things that are just ok.
    1. Driving system. It's good, but it could be done better.
    2. AI unfortunately is sometimes stupid but it doesn't happen really often to me.
    Now bad things.
    1. The game is a bit bugged. The developer shout fix this asap. Fortunately for me, all the bugs I experienced were extremely funny and they weren't game-breaking so I didn't take much care of them.
To sum up, me and my friends who watched my stream were having a lot of fun with his game so far. We were laughing out loud because of bugs, we were really excited while exploring the world and the story. One more thing, the game has never crashed on my pc, I don't know why so many people say the game crashes all the time. Personally, this is the best game of this year and I will spend a lot of time in Night City. I was waiting for a game like this one for a long time, it's amazing.

The city is huge and beatiful. It makes that you are in there, but it lacks some activities like RDR2 had. You can't play cards, can't use arcades, the game doesn't have any miscellaneous to do.

I am playing on a PC with a i3 dual core and i can't complain about performace on PCs, but CD Projekt Read promised that the game would work on PS4 and XBOX and the game is horrible there.

The story has lots of issues. You would think after Mass Effect 3 AAA companies would have learned not to make game endings that invalidate everything the player has done with a "You lose. Good day sir." In every ending your character dies or finds out he will die. The second half of the game has been for nothing. Then to break immersion they put you back in the game right before the final mission. On replay I've discovered you cannot reject the ontial quest or kill the fixer who sets you up for ultimate disaster. You can even leave the area of the city you are in without accepting what ultimately becomes a suicide mission. Choices don't matter in this game. It's a linear suicide rpg.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
