    To start this review, I want to point out that I am an avid RPG love, meaning that I can overlook only serviceable graphics/mechanics if the game is able to draw me in with its story or world.

    I gave the game a 6, but it can potentially go up to an 8 if the bugs are sorted out. For reference, besides numerous non-game-breaking bugs (textures not showing, objects floating above ground,    To start this review, I want to point out that I am an avid RPG love, meaning that I can overlook only serviceable graphics/mechanics if the game is able to draw me in with its story or world.

    I gave the game a 6, but it can potentially go up to an 8 if the bugs are sorted out. For reference, besides numerous non-game-breaking bugs (textures not showing, objects floating above ground, T-poses, etc) I also had 6 crashes, from which two resulted in blue-screen with save file corruption.

    Besides all the bugs, I feel the addition of GTA style gameplay does not bode well with an RPG. It results in annoying situations that break the gameplay flow. For example, while driving towards a mission, you will sometime hit civilians; this results in the police placing a bounty on your head, officers spawning out of mid air; at that point you would have to hide for a while for the officers off your trail so you can start the story mission. While this does not bother me in GTA, in Cyberpunk is extremely annoying as here I am expecting to be able to roleplay my character without this type of interruptions.

    The story is very engaging and does a good job using cyberpunk themes, but at the same time it feels overly-linear without many opportunities for the player to influence it. I do know that all games offer only the illusion of choice, but for me other games do a better job at this than Cyberpunk.

    Although we are now creating our own character, this is purely visual, don't expect to get a blank slate like in Elder Scrolls series. V has its own personality and comes with its backstory in which you do not have much input even during dialogue choices - if someone asks you if you used a tech before, you don't get options to confirm or deny it, V will respond automatically to this. This did not influence my score, but I think is relevant for the review.
    What is disappointing are the life paths. At the start of the game you can select your origin, but the related missions only last for about 15-20 minutes and afterwards it is barely acknowledged during the rest of the game.

    Secondary missions are split into "side jobs" and "gigs". While the side jobs are fun, similar in style to Witcher 3's secondary missions, gigs are boring, you gain them just by going to a place on the map and are completed automatically (via a phone call).

    The combat is fun and there are many ways to advance your character. Some are level/xp dependent - attributes and skills, but some depend more on the amount of money you have (implants). One small criticism I have of the progression is that most perks are boring "X% increase in damage if using a rifle" type. One thing I like, is that you do not gain perk points only at level up, but also via performing certain actions - using shotguns will give points for shotgun/LMG tree.

    To summarize, I think once the bugs will get sorted out, this will be a good FPS game with solid story missions with GTA style open world gameplay in between. But, going in expecting a good RPG there is potential for disappointment and overall I think is a step down when compared to the Witcher series.    … Expand

    It breaks my heart to say this but even if the game did not have any bugs and was well optimized for consoles, the game on its own is a step back in terms of story and open world. Cdpr intentionally hyped this game out of oblivion and they are to blame for there downright false marketing. I can't even run this game well on medium and I have a pretty beefy pc.

    i have played it on ps4 and pc! what a load of crap! this game sucks! everything about it sucks sooo bad’ incant even imagine how they could trick ppl to buy this game! the game is full of bugs, graphics looks sooo bad on both pc and ps4. CDPR ARE BUNCH OF THIEVES!

    this game is unplayable... the amount of bugs in this game is unreal, CDPR had 8 YEARS to make a masterpiece, and they failed. they had amazing marketing and an ok soundtrack but apart from that this game (in its current state) is god awful.

    Great game, with bugs.

    PC version has visual bugs here and there (most comments complaining in this thread are referring to console versions for some reason), but nothing that will hinder your progress. As for the performance, I am running it on ultra 1920x1080 - 60 fps without any drops or issues (i7-6700K, 32 GB, RTX 2080 Super, Samsung EVO SATA).

    You know what, really don't give a damn about all the crying people, who just cannot wait until the fixes. The whole planet is in a terrible state due to corona, and we can show some mercy to the company who born great games. Just remember The Witcher with all its bugs and glitches on launch and look what we have now - Game of the decade. Give a chance to Cyberpunk, show your patience andYou know what, really don't give a damn about all the crying people, who just cannot wait until the fixes.     Despite the bugs, we can see gorgeous views, beautiful colours, all the elements of the cyberpunk style with its neon lights, augmentations, holograms, robots etc. Just enjoy the beauty of the future.

    I don't understand why so many don't like the graphics, it's awesome. So many possibilities, great story, great open world!

    Story is fun to play but there is no choice matters. False advertisement and full of bugs. Worst RPG experience ever. Even back story that we choose doesn't matter in the game, they just give us extra 1 hr game play. This game is a giant disappointment for me. I will never trust CDPR ever again.

    It is cheating, it is almost a crime, it is fake advertising company, to sell game of that quality for Xbox one base and PS4 base.
    And of course I’m not professional in game dev, but I think if RDR2 can look pretty good on base versions, so why Cyberpunk 2077 can’t? Why I’m paying for this?

Я за 6 часов пролога посочувствовал Джеки, я пустил слезу когда узнал что он умер. А толькоп после этого начинается сама игра, много разных сайтквестов. Очень интересный сюжет. Мат эту игру украшает.     No bugs can make a good game a bad one.

    Even with a bunch of minor technical problems that will be solved in the next six months, this game is head and shoulders above all the serial garbage that has been released for 5 years.

    It doesn't matter if they fix bugs or not, this game is still amateurish trash at best. Open-world is empty and lifeless. One of the worst npc's i have seen in any open-world game ever. This game makes Watch_Dogs (2014) look like game of the year and now that i think about it, it wasn't even that bad, specially compared to Cybertrash2077.

Сюжет приятный, диалоги тоже. Слегка топорная боевая система и управление транспортом. Куча активностей. Игра на твёрдую восьмёрочку, но накидываю ещё два балла за отсылки на Сейлор Мун и ДжоДжо.Лучшее, что есть в жанре киберпанк на сегодняшний день.     Unfortunately bought into the hype. Playing on PS5, way disappointed with how it runs and looks compared to marketing footage. Gameplay is severely lacking and finding myself bored already a few hours into the game. Crashed like 3 times already. Do not buy, wait for it to be patched.

    The game is far from being bad, it's actually one of the best experiences ever designed for video games. Too bad they released it too early, filled with lots of bugs. Another development year and it would have been all perfect. But it will get there with time, I am sure about it. Meanwhile I will enjoy playing it as is and will try to ignore any bugs or whatever.

    Love it. Having a lot of fun. In some respects it's a rough release, but I'm fine with that, all things considered. It's great. Can't speak for console versions, but it's beautiful running on PC. If you enjoyed the first Deus Ex, you'll really enjoy this. On PC, I really don't know what some people were expecting or why they're so upset; I'm pretty sure we all consumed the same pre-releaseLove it. Having a lot of fun.     Amazing experience. No bugs for me, no crashes. Quite the contrary!!!!!! Definitely the smoothest experience I had with a game the last 5-6 years. A rich experience both in story and in gameplay. I feel grateful for the experience. I play on ultra and use ray tracing on the highest setting with an rtx 2070. This shows a good optimization.

    Let's get the good down, the story is good, the side quests are really fleshed out, the gunplay isn't the best out there but its not bad for a "open world RPG". The graphics are some of the best I've seen in an open world game, this city looks incredible. melee is powerful enough to be viable and the hacking is pretty dope.

    Now the bad, its missing a ton of basic open world features, no car customization, no barber shops, or plastic surgeons to change appearance, no driving AI at all, the cops appear they don't drive to you or chase you in vehicles, the NPCs don't react to getting hit or obstacles they will just stop and wait, the lifepaths are kinda pointless in the big picture, you can preview clothes when purchasing or guns. Most basic open world features you expect from a GTA, Saints Row or red dead for example are missing. There are also a lot of bugs but mostly visual I haven't had any game breaking bugs yet.
    All in all not bad but not what was marketed or what i was expecting from a "next - gen open world experience".    … Expand

    Gameplay wise, after the first 10hours I started feeling like I'm playing a Ubisoft game.. Hundreds of activities around the world but they're all structured in the same way. Go into an area, kill people, loot some garbage and repeat. Weapons and gear have no value since you're gonna replace them in the next 10 minutes and the progression system isn't interesting enough to get you invested.

I've been running at "high" rather than "ultra" settings and have an honest-to-God i5 processor, so I think the game's running well enough. What little I've seen isn't a dealbreaker is my point.

    No, honestly, you want the tl;dr: a superb game far and away superior than any of its property's imitators, more than worthy of reclaiming the title of king of the cyberpunk genre. Anyone who says otherwise can swivel on my middle digit.    … Expand

    This review will be updated provided CDPR will work on it, but it is a buggy mess that's quests are completely linear and the choices, for the most part, do not matter. The driving is also maybe the worst I have ever played.

The police system is embarrassing, combat is not engaging, (personally) the stealth and hacking is underwhelming and doesn't seem like a viable playstyle, the loot system is obnoxious, the lack of a transmog system makes the clothes a random mess, can't speak for the story yet, but I'm really notBesides the bugs and mediocre performance, this is a really disappointing game on itself. На релизе витчера из тоже было много, быстро поправили и в итоге мы имеем одну тз лучших игр в истории игропрома. Очень жаль что в нашем времени очень модно хейтить всё популярное... Хорошо хоть, что адекватных спокойных геймеров всё же больше, и продажи игры самиИгра нереально крутая, атмосфернее и технологичнее игры на данный момент не существует, доколебываться до багов = быть идиотом. All of the NPCs do weird things all the time; they're not intelligent at all. The world doesn't feel alive at all. Only positive thing about this game is its story and music.     The game released in a near unplayable state. I've experienced at least 20 different bugs. From T-posing npcs to clipping grass over to a d*ck hanging out of someones pants. Apart from the bugs it runs terrible aswell; i installed the latest GPU driver and still barely manage to get over 45fps on a 3070. Yikes.

    Great game, magnificent story and narratives, of course it has bugs, but that can be corrected with time. The game offers a lot of freedom, in addition to insane customizations. Looking forward to the online and future DLC.

    This game should of never come out on last gen consoles. Play it on a PC or the newer consoles and this game is absolutely a masterpiece. Playing this on a high end PC is how CDPR wants you to experience this masterpiece! I have been having an absolute blast on PC!

    I had really big expectations for this game, unfortunetly they do not match with what we have got. First of all the world looks beautiful - watching all the neons and futuristic city was fantastic.

    On the other hand this game is a looter shooter and if I wanted to play this type of game I would just buy borderlands because they are doing everything better. The AI is really stupid. Most of the characters are compelling and I instantly connected with many of them. These issues are not prevalent all the time. Many of the negative reviews are upset that the game has bugs or that it is not perfectly optimized for their system. Others are upset because they thought that the game would break the mold. Whenever you have a huge release like this, people rate the game as a Zero with no context. This game is a solid 8 in it's current state. Once the bugs are worked out and some QoL features are added, it will be a solid 9. Don't listen to the trolls. Get the game… Expand

    Amazing game, great world, great stories. Extremely re-playable and has lots of potential. Only thing that takes away from the experience are sporadic visual or audio bugs, that the developer needs to iron out.
    Performance could also be improved - especially for the consoles.

    Playing on Xbox series X, 20hrs in and cyberpunk 2077 is hands down one of the best games ever made period!! Its running and playing very well on next gen xbox. Hype did not disappoint!

The real issues is how dead and lifeless the game feels. See a guy trying to get a soda from a vending machine by kicking it? Try to be a nice guy and hack it for him, spilling sodas everywhere. He will just keep kicking it anyways. No NPCs react at all to what you are doing in any meaningful manner. Shoot a gun in public? Everyone around will just either perform the default cowering emote or do nothing at all. Don't expect to ever see an NPC crossing a street, they are only programmed to walk around the block in circles. Little stuff like that but it's all over the place and adds up. Stop your car in the middle of the road? The NPCs vehicles are basically on a predetermined track (like train tracks) so they will just line up and wait for you to move. Also as they move in a track, they corner awkwardly as if they are just rotating on the x axis to match the path set. If a scripted event (in a mission) happens where a NPC walks into the street? There is no way for the game to deal with the car being in their way so it will simply despawn the car. No exaggeration, GTA games on the PS2 have better driving physics and AI than this game does.... And GTA4s AI (both driving and pedestrian/NPCs) blows this game out of the water. Features missing from the game? Yep there's a lot of them. No character design, can't buy anything from vendors, no real apartment or wardrobe customization... It's a big beautiful open world that you really can't interact with. I think they spent all their money on art direction and marketing but forgot to actually make a game. The cherry on the pie is how hard CDPR tried to keep the issues hidden until release, and refused to let anyone review the console versions. They knew they were putting out a steaming pile of crap but tried to hide it to get those sweet sweet day 1 sales. The fact that any mainstream game review company would give this 9 or 10/10 is sketchy (and dishonest/corrupt of them) This game will be worth playing after it's fixed and is 80% off, but I would wait until then.… Expand

The Outer Worlds did the hyper capitalist corporatocracy aspect better; Dragon Age does the role playing video game aspect better; Fallout and the Elder Scrolls do open worlds better; GTA has better driving; and while I don't know of any cyberpunk style games, any cyberpunk anime does it better.

    Over all, its a very average game that was marketed and hyped FAR over what it delivered. Lower your expectations if you still want it.    … Expand

    Game is incredible on pc. Need some fixes but glitches dont appear that often as most of people say. Still, awaiting cosmetic patches for consoles cause my eyes are bleedibg while seeing all these angry console players comments.

In my personal experience, the game was getting FPS in the 30s-40s on medium settings. I have a GTX 1060 and that has been the recommended card for almost a year. It was only a few weeks ago that they added *to reach 30FPS. In adjusting the settings further, I was able to reach 60FPS but then the game looked absolutely horrible. I feel this is unacceptable with the recommended GPU. Once I got the game working, however, it crashed on me three times. One of these pauses occurred while I was in the pause menu.

    After looking online and seeing that even if I had the latest and greatest set up, the game would look nice but would still have several game breaking bugs. Quests not progressing, Dialog not playing, NPCs in T-Pose... I feel the game was not ready to release.

    About the NPCs: I have seen many, many videos of game footage and NPCs seem pretty dead. They don't have routines. They just walk down the street and they might have one or two lines to say. The city is filled with food vendors, but you can only interact with maybe two of them. CDPR promised a "living, breathing city" and this is not the case. NPCs also all react to gunfire the same way; you can have 15 NPCs cowering all at once, no variation.

    But the worst thing of all is that CDPR didn't allow critics to review PS4 copies, and now we know why: the game simply can not run on the PS4. The FPS hits 15 in many areas, textures don't load, and the PS4 is prone to crashing. Say what you want about running the game on "old hardware", but the bottom line is if the company couldn't get the game to run properly on the PS4, it should not have been released on the PS4. They knew it would be a bad experience so they attempted to cover it up.

    Can the game be fixed? Sure, it can be optimized with patches, as can the quest bugs be fixed. Can they do more mo-cap and give the NPCs more life? Probably. But my faith in CDPR is almost all gone after this horrendous launch. "We'll release it when it's ready" proved to be false.    … Expand

    Game is full of bugs, runs poorly on my computer, characters are generic and bland, music doesnt fit the setting, the setting doesn't fit the genre and most of all there's more cutscenes than gameplay.
    Gameplay that's a generic shooter with bad melee combat and almost no choices in dialog options.

    Decent game if you have a rtx 30xx serie graphic card and all you want to do is walk arround watching the lights in the city.

    Game needed at least 7 more months of work.
    This is what happens when you spend all your budget on movie actors and marketing.

    All respect lost for CDPR, they are EA level now.

The world is beutiful and hadcrafted, not copy-pasted. Dialogs, NPC just brilliant. It isn't the same level as 10/10 Witcher 3 but still great. Maybe I will increase my rate after finishing.     Luckily I got a refund and got my money back! Imagine actually paying to beta test this absolute GARBAGE GAME. I am never buying a CDPR product ever again. Not only is the game full of bugs and glitches, the game design elements are also extremely boring. Bullet sponge boring gunplay and feth quests, huge fail.

    CP2077 is not perfect, but it's at least 8/10 game, if you don't pay attentions to bugs.
    And don't play it on max setting on 5 year old PC, it won't work :)

    Shockingly terrible, like I said before this game has more crashes than the aviation industry over the past 10 years. THERE IS LITERALLY NO AI IN THIS GAME. The cars follow a scripted path and the police spawn right behind you when you commit a crime. GTA 3 HAD BETTER AI. This game deserves to be burned and thrown into a landfill.

    But the storyline - masterpiece. Gameplay - good enough.

    Truly a BREATHTAKING achievement! CDPR has done it once again and created the most mindblowing open world experience the gaming industry has. Last time I felt this way was with The Witcher 3. Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely one of the greatest games ever made.

    This game is flat out incredible. With all the whiney complaints I've seen it all boils down to next gen hardware which is WHAT WE WANT. if they focused more energy on the lower end consoles then we wouldn't have something like this. It's amazing and a shame people are complaining. 10/10 without a doubt.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
