    CD project RED , flat out lied to us in marketing .Don't expect to buy and Open World RPG game , this is a heavily scripted action adventure game. CD project RED sneakily changed the official tag of this game to that couple of months before release. Don't mind the performance issues and Bugs , they can be fixed but the main problems of this game cant be fixed with patches. Open world isCD project RED , flat out lied to us in marketing .Don't expect to buy and Open World RPG game , this is a heavily scripted action adventure game. CD project RED sneakily changed the official tag of this game to that couple of months before release. Don't mind the performance issues and Bugs , they can be fixed but the main problems of this game cant be fixed with patches. Open world is empty and shallow , it is all smoke and mirrors, like the character customization and choices.

    I would give this game a positive rating and would recommend it , if CD project RED were honest and told us what this game really were. For a game focused on evil corporations , lying to your customers and hiding reviews to hide the games problems is awfully similar.    … Expand

    Remember Ass Creed: Unity? People hated that game because of the bugs. Remember Resident Evil 6 or Dark Souls 2? No, those game didn't have gamebreaking bugs, and people just hated them. Now look at this UNPLAYABLE piece of trash, it's something special, yes it is, because it demonstrates how cynical and hypocrite "gamers" are. Or i should say, consumers?     Like the hilarious bug where V’s penis flops out of his pants on the character screen, CD Projekt Red has shamefully exposed themselves as amateur overhyped developers with downright dishonest and deceiving review tactics. Game critics also happily sucked on the developers’ dicks instead of giving a fair and unbiased review that gamers depend on.

    This game didnt match any of the promises from earlier reviews, so many stripped features and hurrendous AI that is worse than GTA 3 AI, only 1 complex missions with different paths which was the one showcased in 2018

    It is not only the bugs (which are a lot) it is the world, it is boring, Npc are repetitive and like zombies, NO AI at all, driving is a joke, the physics when you crash are horrible, the drivers NPC don't maneuver... The bosses omg, you can shoot them from the door and they stay in the room they don't follow you... It is a big disappointment this game...

    State of this game is insulting, especially on consoles. CDPR should pay for what they did, forbidding PS4/XONE reviews only to quietly push TERRIBLE quality game to stores and make people pay for it based on PC reviews that are overrating game anyway completely ignoring in how bad condition it is. This should be early access game.

    Developers lied to us about the performance and expectations.
    In 7 years this is what they made, a game full of bugs. Bugs will most certainly wont be fixed any time soon.
    However cdred apologist will gladly give it positive reviews.

    After almost 1 year of polishing is that what you do ? I'm playing the game on rx 480 8gb model. It's an almost head-to-head card with the 1060. According to the basic system requirements, I have to play the game at a constant 60 fps at least in mid-high settings, but even in low, the game is 40 fps.

    Cyberpunk may be remembered as the most misleading, crippled, half-assed, bugged piece of gaming software of the last century. You may have thought that CDP RED gods could have never betrayed our trust, you were damm wrong. At this precise moment, they have recooped all their investment and you are here, reading this review, most probably with, or should I say without, around 60 eddies inside your pocket. Well, THAT IS, ''breathtaking...''

    Cons

    -RPG? With a pinch of imagination you could consider this to be a RPG game, no doubt.
    -The open world is just a set decoration for the missions, it is not a real open world by any means.
    -The AI is really just AC. AC stands for Artificial Crap.
    -The ''performance'' is still looking for developers who would like to work on it. I have heard some marketing fellows are being sent to the enginnering office and we should expect some performance improvements real soon. Yeah, no kidding.
    -The combat system feels like an aftethought that wasnt even tested, given the lack of balance.
    -Does CDP Red even have a QA team? Yes? No? Are they functional?
    -I could continue but it is getting late and I just want to warn you, dont buy it, at least yet.

The worst thing is beyond the bugs and optimization issues there are several design decisions that makes this game very bland. The skill tree is poor, filled with useless pasive effects. The gunplay isn't optimal either with lag whenever you use them and switch. The rpg elements are,I't unforgetable to deliver a product in such a poor state and expect people to be ok.     Horrible frame rate, garbage resolution, literally millions of bugs, dishonest developer advertising as the game does not match videos and screenshots shown, frequent crashes, game runs incredibly poorly even on PC, and due to all of the above the game is not fun at all. This isn't a game; it's a mess and the developer owes the entire gaming community a big apology.

No customization for cars, or even your goddamn hair. This is the marketing disaster of the century, and the most overrated game I can remember.     This is not a role playing game. Choices with no consequences. Lifepaths are meaningless. No faction system like New Vegas. There's the illusion of choices, but it crumbles on a second playthrought, and it's not what was advertized.

It's beautiful graphically, and has a good story but the game is awful. The mechanics are not "next-gen" or "revolutionary" as they said it would be. The AI does not exist, the pedestrians are souless, the world is full of beautiful buildingsI don't believe a single word CDPR said just a few hours ago.     HOW ARE YOU PROUD OF SOMETHING LIKE THAT? IS THIS THE QUALITY YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT? How can you stand up in front of a camera and LIE ONCE AGAIN?

    While I acknowledge the challenges of working at home during an epidemic, it was    I waited for this game since they hinted at it in Witcher 3 and I've been closely following any rumors since then. This game was supposed to be the savior. During COVID when everyone is miserable and stuck at home, Cyber Punk was supposed to be the light at the end of the tunnel. The one good thing of 2020.

    While I acknowledge the challenges of working at home during an epidemic, it was just the worst timing for CDPR. I remain a loyal fan of their work, but everything about Cyber Punk is middling and there are NO revolutionary additions or even any dimensions that are noteworthy in any way.

    Side characters are uninteresting cliches, main characters are the same, combat is terrible because the performance is so bad I'm getting 15 FPS when I get 60 FPS on Assassins Creed Valhalla and virtually every other new game.

    Short of spending $2500 on a beast rig that can play this game stably, and due to my own financial challenges during COVID, I can't do that. So I'm stuck playing a game that has bad graphics and STILL has bad performance, a terrible inventory system, terrible samey loot that is just a small assortment of the same few weapon types (SMGs all the same, ARs all the same, Shotguns all feel the same, etc.)

    I know CDPR was treading on new ground here. Their forte is the Witcher and RPGs. FPS shooters is not something they've done for that and I can appreciate the ballsy nature of giving fans something they weren't expecting. But at the end of the day I find myself wandering back to the truly great games this gen; The Last of Us, AC Valhalla, etc.

    My desire to play Cyber Punk is very low. Its so buggy that I'm actually stuck in a bug where it quick saved right before I die instantly for some unknown reason. I don't want to start the mission ALL the way over again (its a longer one) by restarting way earlier saves. I find myself not really wanting to play it at all.

    This has been such a depressingly crappy way to end the year. I wish they delayed it another 6 months. I want that next-gen amazing game we were promised. I'd rather have that in 6 months than a husk of what it could have been now.

    I don't see this series going far. I doubt they'll make another. Professional reviews seem bought and paid for, or they are just playing on high end beast rigs and by some miracle aren't experiencing the myriad bugs the rest of us are. I preordered this game the minute it was open for preorders. This has been my biggest disappointment in the gaming industry in living memory.

    Please go back to the Witcher 4 or something else. You tried the futuristic noir where megacorps run the world. The fans aren't happy with it. Learn the lesson and move on CDPR. You're better than this. You are capable of greatness, and again, due to COVID we likely lost a lot of quality due to that. So trying to be as fair as possible, I'll chalk it up to a great game that released at the worst time possible.

I frequently encounter the same NPC models, and I noticed how they don't even use random NPC's in certain areas. At the adult toy store, they have the exact same NPC's perusing the wares everytime I go there. They were too lazy to randomizeI am rating this game based on gameplay and execution, not graphics.     DECEPCIONANTE. Francamente si no lo veo no lo creo. Para empezar y mas importante el juego se cae a trozos, la peor ia que he visto en mas de una década, y podría seguir... Pero esto no es lo peor, lo peor es que aunque todos estos problemas de optimización y pulido del juego no existieran el juego no pasaría de un 7, la historia es monorraíl nada de decisiones todo por un carril, laDECEPCIONANTE. Francamente si no lo veo no lo creo. Para empezar y mas importante el juego se cae a trozos, la peor ia que he visto en mas de una década, y podría seguir... Don't read too much into players **** on the game for these reasons, experience it for yourself and make your own judgment, The only downfall this game has is that CDPR decided to try and release it on XBox One and PS4 (X and Pro versions included), that hardware just cannot hope to deliver justice to the Cyberpunk vision. If you're thinking about buying it for these consoles I'd reconsider postponing until you can get a XBox Series X, PS5 or decent gaming PC. I'm going to play through the street kid storyline and save the other two for the update that is dropping next year, what I can say is the game still looks and plays really well on Series X (and I'm assuming PS5 too) even though there are still bugs for CDPR to fix, I've not encountered any game breaking ones but have had Johnny Silverhand leaving floating cigarettes in cut scenes and a couple of pauses in other cut scenes. The life path intros are all ridiculously short (averaging 15min) and after that the story is basically Street Kid with respective dialogue choices. The game is quite linear. The open world that was supposed to be bustling and alive? It's sparse and feels empty. Locked doors and invisible borders mar the experience. Driving is terrible. The AI is hilariously bad. Cops will spawn right behind you. The skill tree is overwhelming and disjointed. There's one skill for knife throwing, where you can throw knives but you can't pick them back up again. Therefore, losing out on rare loot. Overall, huge letdown of a game. The only positives are the world building and characters.

    CDPR is dishonored company, and will be never welcomed in Russia further. Blaming people because of their nation is a racism caused a war which is happening now. Now it's not just about cancel culture, what is crazy itself.
    Game is bad, btw, even 2 years after release.

    We patiently waited for a new addition and bug fixes, but the company decided to get into politics. Of course, this is easier than maintaining a broken game.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
