Cyberpunk doesn’t bring anything new to the table as far as the RPG genre goes, it plays as a mix between Fallout and Borderlands. Since Cyberpunk is an FPS at heart, its needs solid gunplay, which it has. Since Cyberpunk is an FPS at heart, its needs solid gunplay, which it has. Guns feel good and combat is somewhat smooth, though subpar AI and the lack of a true cover system means fights generally delve quickly into brawls rather than tactical combat. Quickhacks add something to combat, though in the early game, not a lot – and probably not a lot without investment. Fallout elements come in the form dialogue trees and picking up EVERYTHING you see, and Borderlands elements from the many guns that drop. With no access to quick menus, you’ll be doing a lot of game pausing to check for stats and minor 1% upgrades. Oh, and with no glamour system, you’re going to be wearing ugly gear just because of the raw stats.

As for the RPG elements, Cyberpunk seems to follow most RPG dialogue choices – except you get the strange feeling of being on rails. There’s a lot of expanded dialogue which gives more exposition but only one choice which progresses the story. During missions there are a few optional objectives, though how much they change the way missions unfold remains to be seen.

Now on to the negatives. There’s a lot. The first negative you’ll come across is the character creator. It’s woeful. People are so focused on CDPR's genital obsession they’re overlooking how poor the character creation is. First of all, there’s a green tint lighting which means your V will inevitably look different in-game. Secondly, options rather than sliders. Every character creator needs sliders in 2020. Nobody is expecting BDO levels of customization but Cyberpunk's is as basic as it gets – and there’s no altering your character after creation which is a cardinal sin.

Second negative is the driving. You’ll be doing a lot of it. It’s bad. Feels terrible. Thirdly, manual saves in games is so outdated, I shouldn’t need to open my pause menu everytime I want to do something. It should quick save on literally everything you do, pick up a rare weapon? Should quicksave. Start a mission? Should quicksave. Quite frankly the checkpoint system is atrocious. And finally the bugs. Oh dear god the bugs. In 8 ours of gameplay I’ve had 3 hard crashes, 2 soft crashes which required restarts, 6 video recorded bugs I’ve sent to friends, unresponsive AI, menus not working and so on.

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

Beyond the stuff like framerate drops and texture bugs that can be fixed with updates. The game simply isn't very good, the combat is sluggish and all the guns feel as though they have no weight to them, and the enemies don't even react to being shot. Enemy AI is idiotic at most times and will just stand there while you shoot them. The driving is painful and feels like your steering a frictionless brick down a freshly waxed hallway, I know that didn't make sense. The game feels like a really bizarre mix of Grand Theft Auto and Borderlands, but not in a good way. Not to mention that the gamma settings, just don't work? I don't understand why, there are times when the brightness is so high that you are blinded, and times when it is so dark you literally can't see anything. Often in the middle of a shoot out as well and changing the game's gamma settings does nothing.

There is no way that this game was in development for nearly 8 years and was released in this state, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that they didn't actually start the game's development until after the E3 Keanu Reeves thing and that was them trying to hype it up again. This game simply feels very rushed and unfinished.

It breaks my heart to say this but even if the game did not have any bugs and was well optimized for consoles, the game on its own is a step back in terms of story and open world. Cdpr intentionally hyped this game out of oblivion and they are to blame for there downright false marketing. I can't even run this game well on medium and I have a pretty beefy pc.

I find this game unplayable on the Xbox one s as of dec.11. The frame rate is very low, which makes moving the camera aroundvery disorienting. The game has this ugly upgrainy and blurry look to it. The graphics are reminiscent of ps2 games. Objects pop into view all of a sudden. This is not worth the $60 I paid for. Pros:
    - I love the plot and the characters. After passing only 15-20%, he managed to tighten me. I hope he will not disappoint me further.
    -The music is incredible.
-Detailing the world, nudity and, in principle, everything is good. I was dumbfounded by what breast physics they did.
    -Hype is impressive
-The voice acting in both English and Russian is excellent. Russian, in my opinion, is better, since the vocabulary of abusive words in Russians is richer.

    Minuses:
    - optimization and bags Half of day I spend in settings. I’ve got a lot of bags through the game. - Disgusting game mechanics: the menu-interface is just **** weapon selection system; system of constant selection of permanent **** from the floor; inconvenient resale, etc.(a lot of bad mechanics) -Car driving: no comments. Physics goodbye. - If u play in hard level u can die - Not good shooting and hacking - Stealth doesn’t work - A lot of nudity on banners, but in fact u can try something only with two prostitutes and they look really bad. And sex scenes kind of suck... - A lot of activities, but they mostly boring or just useless. And what I expected CD project probably delete from the game. Only extra missions (some of them) are good. - (personal) I don’t like the style of cyberpunk. I don’t like this city. I don’t wanna stay there. I expected more, but in the end they made mediocre (but playable) and I hope I like it still, but at the moment it seems to me that Watch Dogs Legion is more cyberpunk than Cyberpunk itself. - Broken mechanics like crouching and cover system

    - No minigames, very few vendors, no restaurants, sewers, buildings you can actually enter, cant see a movie, do other activities like you would expect from an open world game touted as an immersive next gen experience. The game is so hollow, it is basically a on rails shooter, where they spent all their energy on the main story.

I have never ever refunded a game, not even Assassins Creed Unity after launch. I will try to refund this game. This game is unplayable, which is insane if you consider a 7 year development phase, millions of dollars spent and an actual talented staff of programmers and game designers. I cannot fathom that they could be ok with releasing this game, especially on Ps4/Xbox. Corporate greed wins again, prophetic that CDPR is actually one of the evil corps present in their own game. Wake up Samurai, time to buy another game.

This is a review of the game's state at launch and will update that if it improves substantially later on. I'll preface this by saying I've been an enormous fan of CDPR and Cyberpunk for many years and it sucks to be this disappointed with something I was so excited for.

The critics giving this anything over a 7 were very obviously paid. This is easily the buggiest game I have ever played and I'm shocked it passed certification to release, let alone came from a studio that is known for caring about the quality of their games (queue 'not very polished for a Polish game' joke). Within an hour of play I had hit 6 different progression blocking bugs ("fixed" by rebooting the game), countless graphical/loading bugs, and was blown away by how shallow the game was. After a couple more hours of play I have still seen nothing special about this game, it is not the "most fascinating city in videogame history so far" as IGN puts it, and it does not raise the bar in any way. The prologue we were promised as a Street Kid, Corpo, or Nomad literally lasts 5 minutes. The AI is nearly nonexistent. Interact with NPCs for a second and the simulation crumbles around you. There is no RPG here. Cyberpunk runs, looks, and plays like a game that came out in the year 2000. Getting this to run well on PC is a crap shoot: you either get lucky and have no problems or it's a balancing act of checking Reddit and asking your friends what settings worked for them. Worst of all, the marketing and communication surrounding this game over the years has been nothing but deceitful. They promised some incredible features up until launch day and failed to deliver nearly all of them. This wasn't an understandable issue of "changes during development", but CDPR lying to its fans until launch day. This was so obviously a failure on the part of management/production and it makes me incredibly sad and angry that this is what we waited for. Their project scope was sky high and it looks as if they cut back on nearly all levels. In the end I'm left wondering, "What were they even *doing* for the past 8 years?" Tweeting?

Because some of what I just shared can be ignored as the angry ramblings of an emotional fan, here are some of the biggest issues and bugs that I've seen at launch:

    - Lifeless AI. There's nothing hand crafted about the NPCs, they don't behave in interesting ways, they don't have their own "schedules" or plans as advertised. Show the slightest bit of aggression or fire at enemies nearby and they'll forever stay in a crouched, cowering animation. Literally forever, they don't snap out of it even after they've been saved from gang members or the threat is neutralized. Driving AI is nowhere to be seen as well. Leave your car in the middle or even the side of the street and traffic is backed up for miles. NPCs will stop at green stoplights and never start driving again. This is classically seen in games in Alpha or Beta stages but at release? That shouldn't happen.

    [Link omitted per site rules]

    - Graphical issues. My character is always bald when looking in a mirror, ignoring all hair and clothing. Most mirrors are completely broken, displaying a black box. Character detail is lacking and blurry. LOD pop-in and graphical glitches are everywhere. Placeholder DEBUG text can literally be seen everywhere in the game.

    [Link omitted per site rules]

    - Next to no character customization (on both personality and visual levels). Your V will look and act essentially the same as everyone else's V. Cyberpunk promised much more than this. Tattoo, limb, body enhancements... everything is either lacking or missing entirely.

    - Too many missing quality of life features to list, please see the following thread:
    [Link omitted per site rules]
Cyberpunk literally needed another 6 months to a year of dev time and that still wouldn't fix the missing features and content that were advertised. They knew this was coming and didn't let reviewers use their own gameplay footage before launch to minimize losses. CDPR has absolutely tarnished their reputation, but I'm sure they'll support the game for years to come. At the moment though I would not recommend this game in the slightest and I hope they take this seriously.

Unfortunately, my 20 hour playthrough was blocked by a bug after which the game stopped saving. This upset me very much and the desire to go through these 20 hours didn't appear again. The game support hasn't responded for several days.

    Disadvantages:
    - A huge number of bugs. Most bugs don't affect the passage of the game in any way. For example: appearing NPCs, graphical bugs, bugs in dialogs. But such bugs appeared three times, after which it was impossible to continue the game further. You try not to notice them because of the great plot, but at some point they become too annoying.
    - Open world. I didn't had no hopes on the game that the open world would be like in GTA5 or RDR2. But what I saw plunged me into despair. NPCs don't react in any way to your actions. You can literally walk through them and nothing will happen.
    - Combat system. It sucks. Especially close combat, from which you do not feel any impact.
    - The game is very beautiful graphically. But you can’t appreciate it as you drive through narrow streets and crash into half of the cars.

Perhaps after 72 patches the game will be normal. But such a raw product was not worth producing.

You shop for cars via receiving random texts from NPCs. You can't go to the bar and have a drink. NPC AI is atrocious. No AI is capable of anything beyond their scripted events. A guy is banging on a vending machine for eating his money, you hack it so it despenses all the food, and he continues to bang on the vending machine. Cops spawn out of nowhere and then despawn if you crouch in a corner for long enough. "Random assaults" are just a small group of gangsters standing over 1 dead guy. Arcade machines are everywhere but you cannot play them. Cars follow 1 scripted path and just stop working altogether if you park in front of them, and then when you turn away, they disappear and are replaced with a different car.

Nothing in this world is believable, and exploring the city is empty and shallow. You never feel like the world would continue living without you, you feel as if they'd despawn when you leave. These are issues that aren't going to be fixed by patches. These are issues that will hold the game back from being great forever.

Sure, the game looks nice and the missions I've played so far have been very good. But that is about where the good parts end.

It amazes me that CDPR was able to make Witcher 3 and screw this up so bad. GTA V and RDR2 are leagues ahead. Even GTA:SA is better than this.

And then there is the godawful performance.

I pray that this is similar to No Man's Sky where throughout the next year or two CDPR will release updates and patches that fix this and turn it from where it is now into something much better and much more lifelike and vivid.

This game has the ability to be good, don't get me wrong. But it's gonna need a lot of hard work to get it up to where CDPR said it would be. The most ironic part of this whole thing is that if they had spent less time overhyping it and talking about features that were not feasible given the size of their team and had spent the time working on it and doing what they were capable of, this would be good. But they blew it by setting everyone's standards way higher than what they could achieve.

Overall, I think the game is good if you don't care about the open world aspect of it. The quests are definitely good, and the graphics and detail of things are next to none. If that is all you care about, then this is the game for you. If you were looking for something among the lines of GTA V x Far Cry Blood Dragon x Fallout 4, then this is not the game for you in its current state.

How anybody can give a game, that is obviously flawed in many aspects, a 10/10 is beyond my mind.
You need to be really delusional to not see all the flaws.

There is almost zero driving AI for NPC's, there is almost zero Cop AI (start killing in front of your apartment and then go into your apartment, voila no wanted level anymore). The world may be a solid base for the game but it feels empty and not used that much. There are tons of arcade-machines, food stands, clubs etc. but none are usable? Every random NPC feels like he was just placed there to fill the void. Where are the "over 1000 unique NPC's with different behavior, all hand-made"? The only difference is the look and the direction they walk. Dodge in front of NPC's and they will all start to crouch forever.
We need modders to unbind some key's in the game, not that bad but still not how a game should be in 2020. The driving itself feels like your car weights 5 tons in the front and 1 ton in the back. They oversteer so heavy its a complete joke.
There is a class of sniper that can penetrate walls better than others. The problem is, they even penetrate whole buildings. Shoot an enemy behind 2 buildings? Easy.
An enemy shooting you through 2 buildings? No problem and you dont even know why you died on the highest difficulty.
Im at Act 2 and the Story is really not bad, they know how to write an engaging story. But we've seen better writing, especially in Witcher 3.
Most sidemissions also feel a little shallow for me, there are a lot of "Go there, kill that" missions. Done in 2 minutes and no sidestory to it, except maybe these little USB-Sticks with lore on it.
The performance on PC is also very, very demanding. Like, we've never seen such a CPU-heavy game like this. You think you're good with your 6-core AMD? Think again, 8-core got atleast 12-15fps more than you. 10-core? 25fps more than you.
Its not bad that this game uses all CPU cores but it basically needs atleast an 8-core CPU unless you got your hands on a RTX 3070 or better 3080.
Everybody that says that a game on PC is perfectly fine with 30-40fps is lying to his own face. With 40fps the mouse feels so delayed, i miss so many shots, it's unreal.

As you can see the game has many flaws. If CDPR can optimize the performance, fix the really bad AI, fix the driving-behavior, fix the weapon balancing (Why even play with guns if swords and stuff are like 3x more powerful or your sniper can kill enemies like 2 miles away through buildings) and all the little bugs like pop-in's, things falling through the floor, mission-NPC's stuck etc. it will be a great game.
Until then, you really should wait for it to become the game they promised it to be because right now it's just the shell of it.

First things first, I am playing on an i7-10700k and RTX 3080, and while my FPS is fine, DLSS is a must to run the game with raytracing at acceptable framerates at 1440p. Secondly, there are just too many bugs and technical problems that breaks immersion and the overall experience. For example, sometimes when you drive your character will start T-posing in the vehicle and clip through the roof, or when Johnny Silverhand smokes, there is just a floating cigarette duplicated mid air. While these are graphical problems that might not matter to everyone, if you are looking to shoot with KB&M and drive with a controller then good luck because half of the time the controller will bug out and you have to restart as your movement gets stuck.

In terms of gameplay, the story is pretty good and the voice acting is overall brilliant. But the complete lack of customization of your character makes it seem like a PS2-era game ported to PC and the next gen consoles. There is no ability change the appearance of your character past the setup screen, NPC AI especially police and driving AI is nonexistent, and why market fashion as a big selling point when I have to make my character look like a homeless hooker to maximise armour? Secondly, the prologue is just too short for what they marketed, overall the prologue lasts about 45 minutes and does not contribute greatly to the story.

Overall, It probably would have been better for CDPR to delay the release again rather than release it at a state where last gen console users have an unacceptable game. But I do hope that CDPR continue to fix the game and turn it around like No Man's Sky did.

At least in FO4's terrible dialogue system you could say the same thing with the same outcome in 4 different ways, in Cyberpunk you get 3 if you're lucky, probably due to the same problem of having a voiced protagonist. I genuinely laughed out loud when the game forced a single dialogue option in the very beginning, only for the character I was talking to to tell me to stop asking stupid questions. Barely any NPC interactions, you can't buy food from 90% of food vendors, none of the many arcade machines work. The depth of the amazing city is definitely let down by not being able to interact with much outside of quests.

It has a good story though. So that's it. If you want to play it, make sure it looks good because without that there's no point.

TS;WM: If you announce the grandest, most advanced next-gennest gaming ever and then you come out with this thing, then you had all the bad reviews coming.
There's nothing next-gen about this game. Forget the bugs and the glitches, they’re there but not that important.

Gameplay is bad, mostly cause of the HORRIBLE AI. Npcs are comically unaware, so combat is often a joke. You throw bombs and fire guns in a room and NPCs in the next room with the door open will often stay unaware or start yelling in loop “i’m gonna find youuuu” and stuff like that. Behaviors of this sort are everywhere in the game.

Stealth is even less appealing due to the aforementioned bad IA, you just can't count on it and it often makes NPCs behave in weird ways. Sometimes they see through walls, sometimes they don't notice you when you're in front of them.

Most things get repetitive soon. You’ll perform the same hacks again and again, loot the same bunch of items again and again, same skin, same name, just different stats. There's so many crappy things to loot that it'll get unrewarding very soon.

Crafting, economy and general itemization are very shallow. Crafting in particular looks like it's there just because it had to be. So far I've used it just to make ammo and maybe upgrade some weapon. In general you're always better off waiting to loot a better thing, which is often the same weapon you already have, just with better stats.

Customization is a joke. You either wear items with good stats and look like a clown or wear cool things with bad stats. There's not a lot of choice anyway. You can't even change your hair or beard, everything is locked after the character creation, which is simply amazing after they announced the deepest customization ever. And anyways it's not that important since you almost never see your character, so don't spend much time in it.

The city is big and looks good, but it's a lifeless cardboard. Interaction with it is very, very limited, all the doors are closed and NPCs just say a bunch of stock phrases with no interaction. You can't eat at 90% of the vendors, they're just cardboard stores. You can't dance in a club, you can't play any minigame, again: nothing except the few scripted things. Don't expect to find unexpected things in a street or a dark alley, it's all just a facade and all the interest points are already on the map, and not that many.

Overall, looks like a game that needed at least another year of development to be okayish.
Five to ten years, instead, to maybe live up to the ginormous expectations they created.

Melee combat feels floaty and without the feeling of impact, sounds are often not there at all during cutscenes, making them feel awkward and empty, bringing the immersion to a halt countless times. Driving is awfully average, specifically while writing motorcycles. It's hard to believe this game was created by the same developers that gave us The Witcher 3. And it makes me wonder... What did they do for 8 years, since the game was announced? Yes there is a compelling and huge potential with what the world could be. But the majority of the time playing this game I found myself wondering "where is the Cyberpunk 2077 that we were promised?".

I was one of those W3 loving guys who was defending CDPR the whole time and approved of every delay because I was 100% sure it's just them polishing and OPTIMIZING the game to give us the best possible experience.

    I was very wrong.

The game that we were promised was going to be revolutionary, new mechanics, out of this world graphics, enjoyable combat and movement.
    We got none of those.

The story is okay-ish so far, but not great by any stretch of the imagination. I'm not that interested in V, let alone the other characters. Everything seems rushed, like this is your partner, here's a short video montage about him, now he's important to you.
Also, they used that same montage in the trailers, one would think those are the game's action sequences, but no. They simply used a montage in the game and in the trailer as well so it looked cool, but ultimately is just lame character building. It's a shame because in my opinion, the story is the only thing this game remotely has going for it.

The melee combat is probably the worst I've ever seen in a game. Boring at best.
Guns feel useless since it's way easier to kill using your fists than guns.

The worst part for me personally is the way V moves and (dear Lord) the car mechanics.
Cars float all over the road, are very hard to control and totally not fun to play.

The graphics are okay, Night City looks amazing, but the characters are bland and don't have much essence, they're all like live long like a boring person or die a hero, which is cheesy for this type of game.
Animations are simply pathetic, how they are comparable to Skyrim (I don't like Skyrim) is just beyond me. Plastic faces, people react weird to you, breaks the immersion. Also NPCs are plain stupid, just standing there most of the time. You can press F to interact with them, but they usually just comment on the weather, using the same sentence.
The game apparently has a random generator for NPCs, but I've encountered the same model appearing 2 or 3 times in the same place more than I can count.

There's just something wrong with the game currently that simply does not make me wanna play more, explore the world and so on. The Nomad prologue is also incredibly rushed, almost like it does not have much impact which class you choose. Multiple choices are present in communication with other characters, but most of the time you have to select every one of them, or if you choose the "wrong" answer, you die. It does not feel like I'm making much of an impact, regardless what I select.

They advertised the character creator as the most detailed thing ever. It's not.
You can't change the height of your character.
There are several nice hairstyles, but nowhere near as close as in other games. Also, there are around 10-15 colors for the hair, but 5-6 for the eyebrows, making it impossible to have those paired. Eye selection is fine, I guess, but that's about it. You're pretty limited with the modifications, tattoos and can't adjust any of them. For boob size you have small, normal, big, like that's all you need to configure there, but for some reason there are two types of penises to choose from.
Saints Row the Third's character creation looks way more complex and offers more freedom to the player compared to this, and that's a game that does not even take itself seriously (part of it's appeal).

Of course, the worst part here is the actual performance of the game. It's horrible, even on strong hardware.

It also seems that CDPR thinks that recommended specs mean you can play on 1080p medium-high settings on 30-40 fps. How is that the norm for "recommended"?! How is 30-40 fps okay in 2020 for a PC game of any kind? That's beyond me and seems like false advertisement. Even Ubisoft has the resolution, quality and FPS you can expect with certain hardware recommendations on their games, and remember how everyone thinks Ubisoft is a greed bad developer, and CDPR is not? I was on that boat as well, but this flustercluck of a release makes me wanna change my mind. Just so we're clear, I love Ubisoft and their games.

I could've asked for a refund, but I decided not to do so since I still want to support the company that gave me the gift of The Witcher 3. A small part of me still hopes they fix most of these issues, but I'm afraid they will not be able to fix the mechanics. I hope that they at least fix the performance issues, so we can at least have decent FPS on recommended hardware, but I can't escape the feeling that they missed a golden opportunity to create a game of the decade contender and just created another rushed product, one of many we've seen in the past few years.

In this state, this is Rage 2 level of quality, with worse performance, and that speaks volumes.

This games problems stem much deeper than just poor performance.

Everything in this game: gunplay, driving, map orientation, waypoints (gps), hand to hand combat, crafting, no preview of clothing, no proper way of categorizing your loot to quickly sell all the stuff you don't wanna keep or breaking things down for crafting materials every piece of gear has to be dealt with individually, AI, climbing/parcouring, police/wanted system, high amount of useless and repetetive loot, scanning glows up the whole world cluttering your screen, repetetive enemy voice lines, enemy guards turn hostile out of nowhere, repetetive side missions (outside of a few well made missions most of the police support missions and assassinate missions are pretty much all the same - bad guys even respawn at the excact same location you killed them earlier and much much more. Honestly the list is endless. This is not about hating the game. I wanted it to be great like anyone else. I think it has the potential to be great. The foundation, the vision and the ambition is there and you can see glimpses of it and feel it throughout the city but the issues this game has far outshine the good things (like the characters, story telling, general atmosphere/vibe within the city, style). This really feels like a beta or early access version and not a finished product with how buggy, glitchy and janky it is. You can still have some fun with it sure, but is this the legendary game they where selling? Hell, even if you didn't buy into the hype, the state this game was released in is unacceptable. How are so many people okay with an obviously unfinished product is beyond me and all those payed high score reviews are just pitiful.

I am deeply disappointed in CDPR. I am sure, I know some of these developers worked their asses of and where really passioned with this project and like I said, you can see the ambition within the world but ultimately where powerless against the will of the suits to push this game out far far to early. Just imagine what would have been possible with one or even two more years of development.

I hate to compare games but just look at Red Dead Redemption 2 and tell me Cyberpunk 2077 right now, is on the same level. No just no and I am not even much of a fan RDR2.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I pre-ordered this game on PS4, depending on the reputation of the previous games from CD Projekt Red, since November 2019, and I have been waiting for it all that long. The game is very ambitious as an idea, but failed in execution. For example, the brawling missions, the first fight with the twin, that was easy. But the other three fights, I get beaten by one or two blows, and I don't even know what I did wrong, the huge difference between the first fight and the other three is just insane!
Another mission with the Delamain cars. It was moderate mission, the car with the easter egg from the game, Portal. The car incited violence against me, and although it was "moderate", I found myself attacked by dozens of armed NPCs and when I ran away, the whole mission failed.
The main quest is too short, and the game depends solely on the side missions, what am I going to do when I finish the main quest? Run around aimlessly solving everyone's problems? I'm not even looking forward to any expansion anymore. Good luck to CDPR, but this game is not what we expected from you.

Night City is like a beautiful CGI project a very talented 3D artist made just for showing you how good he is.

It's beautiful to see but when you try to do something you realize what you see is there just for the sake of visuals.

I don't remember having any game breaking bugs at all on The Witcher 3. But as of right now I'm thinking about just putting the game down and up trying to play it until they fix this game. I blame the upper management for forcing out a game that was not finished. Just so they can get their bonuses. When I heard they're pushing the game back I was very happy. Because I thought they were doing it to polish up the game. If this is their idea of polishing, it must have been a biger piece of crap before they push this game back. After a long wait we recieve this mess of a videogame, completely different in a really bad way from what the trailers showed in the past, especially the 2018 gameplay trailer. So , lets start with the bad:

Night city? yeah because it puts you to sleep, it feels completely dead, pedestrians are more basic than GTA San Andrea's

Side missions are filled with bugs that prevent from being completed or make them look stupid

There are tips in the game that hint towards you having several hideouts/bases/apartments, its a lie.

Combat feels lackluster, very basic. Hacking although cool its not effective at all , you need to spend lots of eddies to really use it in combat.

Ai is trash, complete trash but the devs decided to give them ridiculous dificulty scaling in order to prevent the player just winning every mission in seconds, high level enemies are just bullet sponges that one shot you.

Performance leaves a lot to be desired even on the "recommended" gpu it runs like crap. And it doesnt even look that good on max graphics either (without ray tracing).

Annoying UI not practical at all, it is really a pain to navigate through the messages and journal entries , the map is overwhelming and not clear when it comes to the verticality of the map.

And now with the good stuff

The main story is really good the characters are amazing although keanu's voice acting leaves a lot to be desired.

The cars are REALLY cool, the sound is amazing (although difficult to drive due to the garbage minimap and bad controls on mb+k)

The ambience of the different regions of the map is really good although the zombie pedestrians kinda ruin it for me.

    Conclusion:
It feels like the n th iteration of this game after scrapping several others either because of technical or monetary constraints with lots and lots of cut content, either way it seems that cdpr bit more than they could chew.

What really made me ask for a refund was the AI of the npc's and that plastic emptiness you constantly feel when you interact with the world around you.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
