Originally had it on Series X, didn't care for the performance so got it on PC. The more I play it the more I come away feeling that it's a mediocre game at best. And the music is easily a 8 or 9 as well. Beyond that though?

The open world design feels dated and is lacking a lot of things that its contemporaries in the same genre have. Something as simple as a barber shop/appearance changing area for example. How is it that I'm playing a game about transhumanism where looks and attitude are everything, yet I can't change my V's appearance AT ALL after initial character creation? The most I can do is change clothes but even that's a joke because clothes are stat sticks, so we all end up looking like hobos wearing a hodgepodge of crap.

There are almost no side distractions (not to be confused with side missions) as there are in other open world games; Some games are guilty of cramming too many distractions in but they're optional things you can safely avoid, but in Cyberpunk there's almost none. They tease you with braindance parlors but you can't go watch a braindance on your own time. Bars exist, but you can't do much with them. There are arcade and pachinko machines all over, but they're just non-interactive textures. The way CDPR talked about the dense cityscape, I was somewhat expecting a good mix between something like GTA and Yakuza, with a lot of side distractions that you could waste your time on. Maybe I expected too much in that regard but it doesn't even have as many distractions as the last three AC games or even GTA games from three generations ago.

The RPG elements are equally as mediocre. I've already mentioned the clothing-as-stat-sticks, which is annoying enough (seriously, clothing items should be cosmetic and have mod slots with mods that work with your cyberware for stats, what an amazing concept, amirite??) but the stats themselves are just awful. Progressing armor or damage by tenths of percentages? Ugh. Lifepaths have no meaning beyond some inconsequential dialog choices and the intro sequence. Dialog is a linear affair, always ending up having you say what the game wants you to, and there's no real way to shape YOUR V the way YOU want. In the same place in the game, my Corpo Fem V and my Nomad Male V are functionally identical; both smart ass mercs who say what they want regardless of my input and don't act any different based on their history in Night City. Both crafting and the game economy are fundamentally broken, in its present state you can find myriad videos online showing you how to exploit the brokenness for millions of eddies in mere minutes.

The menu and inventory system is just god awful. I'm having genuine flashbacks to launch Mass Effect 1 back on X360 where I was spending more time dismantling the same gear into omnigel and fiddling with mod slots more than I was playing segments of the game. Same thing here. The menu and inventory system is such a cluttered affair that you spend more time clicking through submenus and looking at gear stats and character points than you do playing. This ties into the RPG elements -- it feels like it could have been better designed and somewhat streamlined a bit. It doesn't need to gut the elements as much as Mass Effect did from ME1 to ME2 but it definitely needs some focus and tightening up.

Driving and shooting are passable. Melee feels like an afterthought though and is a pain in the ass to pull off even when properly built for it. Or maybe I'm just bad. But that's a minor complaint compared to the rest.

All in all, the game feels like a 7/10, tops, without the bugs. Solid writing, solid music and sound effects, but the rest of the game is just middle of the pack in the genre. Certainly not the "next generation of open world games" as their launch trailer touted.

What can I say; a week after release and the game is a mess. It has LOTS of bugs, but at the same time, the story so far is great and the feel of the world is like a thick creamy cyberpunk broth with great characters and lovely graphics. So even as a technical disaster this is a 7/10 on PC. It might have been a 10 with 6 months more of QA ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Game is good (if you have a strong rig) but overall it's not what they promised too many bugs, glitches and bad optimization. Graphics are pretty good (at High/Ultra settings) but they are NOT amazing and as for gameplay it's ok but there is nothing new really . Driving is way less interesting than GTA by the way.

The game was hyped up to be something like The Witcher series, but what a disappointed. Putting all the bugs aside, this game still feels kind of empty, few cars and people in the streets, features that are there, but cant be bothered using. The side quests are fine, though the main story is very short and like a 5.0 IMDB rated dramascifi movie.

Beautiful game with an interesting story and some great ideas.

It does suffer from some bugs, though the bug situation seems to be greatly exaggerated. It's not as buggy as Skyrim was at launch and I've played on both PC and Xbox One. The biggest annoyance I have found is that the driving is terrible and there's no auto-drive.

Great music, dialogs, story (played 15 hours only, but still). But, yea there is a big but. So many bugs, people disappearing, passing through walls, buildings, cars. Animations not in sync with the facial expressions and I could take that long, not to mention the old-generation consoles, on which the game is practically unplayable. The game should be released at least a few months later.

A classic example of why companies need to stop rushing the game out of the door just to meet deadlines. Underneath the glitches, performance issues and game breaking lays a game with breath taking graphics, amazing story and characters.

Night City is in my opinion the best looking game world so far, the Blade Runner inspired world is a joy to explore seeing how different each section of the city looks, however, there's not much to do in Night City. You can't customise your vehicles, gamble or even change your characters appearance, So far I haven't found a single mini game, I can't even play on the arcades or get a braindance from a stripper. , I thought I would get something similar to Gwent or hell even play the table top games Cyberpunk 2077 is a continuation of. Wouldn't be great if you relive some of the stories that Cyberpunk 2013/2020 told but as playable side missions where your main character would have to wear a VR headset to relive the memories of the characters in the tabletop. The only thing you can do in night city is side missions and I haven't played a bad one so far. Most of them are pretty entertaining and a bit emotional at times.

The characters are written very well and most of them are likable. I like Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand i think he did well for the most part.

The gunplay and combat is decent but not amazing it can janky at times and the driving needs to be a little bit better but it's still okay if you play on a controller, the traffic AI needs a complete rework hopefully it will be solved in patches and the hacking is enjoyable.

The glitches, the bugs and the performance are the biggest problem with the game. it's hard to get immersed in the world when your vehicle randomly glitches out or NPCs in the world walk through each other and vehicles, Police randomly spawn out of nowhere and the enemy AI isn't very smart at all, they are average or even brain dead stupid at times. some of them will stand there while you are shooting at them, and some quests you do will glitch out at times forcing you to go back to your last save which does resolve the issue.

Even the patches that has been released it hasn't solved much of the issue. It still functions though well... on PC, the consoles? forget about it, the console versions aren't worth buying yet.

I hope the PS5 and Xbox x series versions are handled better. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ON CONSOLES UNLESS YOU HAVE A PS5/ XBOX X SERIES. Also optimisation needs to be fixed. some areas I get 45 fps others 30, I do have an RTX 2060 and while I enjoy using Ray tracing, it's hard to get a decent frame rate with RTX on, even with DLSS on sometimes I below 30 fps at certain places within the game. If you have an RTX 2060, put DLSS on Balanced to get above 40 FPS, if you aren't bothered too much about framerate being nearly locked on 30 stick it to quality.

Also features are missing, not everything you do effects the story and the ability to bribe cops and get powerful NPCs.chasing after you are gone from this game. I hope they add it back in a patch because it would make the game better

Despite all of its problems I still enjoy everything else about the game. Hopefully in a couple of months the game will be fixed mostly and perform better and hopefully more features will be added by the end of the year as I do feel that apart of the game is missing. Once most of the bugs and glitches are fixed I re score this review an 8 and if they add more features that are good of course I will re score it a 9 maybe even a 10. This game desperately needed another delay maybe another year in development because if it was given more time we could of seen a potential game of the year for 2021/2022 and it might have lived up to most of it's very expectations.

For anyone that doesn't have this game yet, get it within a few months, hopefully by the, the game would be mostly fixed.

    Goodnight Night City

But the game has so much potential, the story is great and well paced. The world is large and varied, but the side quests do feel a little shallow so far.

There are features I would like to see implemented in the future (one all the bugs are fixed), like being able to move stats across clothing to be able to build a look without looking like you've been dumpster diving outside a charity shop.

The game needs work, if you haven't bought it already then I would recommend waiting a few months to let them iron out the kinks. But if you have bought it, then stop moaning and go and enjoy it - atleast until that next crash.

More hype isn't necessarily good when you don't deliver and Cyberpunk 2077 really should have had another year of development time. Maybe the game should be called Cyberpunk 2076 (sequence to Fallout 76 and a year too early to release).

    PROs:
    - Great visual when you can run it
    - Has absolutely amazing soundtracks
    - Voice acting is superb for most of the characters
    - Surprisingly good level design for an open-world game this big
    - Gunplay feels on par with top FPS (rare for RPG)
    - Great writing and the captivating main story
    - Well-written and interesting side missions

    CONs:
    - Bugs -- LOTS of bugs, like, on avg. people get one bug per hour of gameplay
    - Non-gunplay combat mechanic (melee, hacking, etc.) is unpolished
    - Underwhelming character customization
    - Underwhelming romance choices (2 per gender, 4 total)
    - Generic dialog options and what you say mostly won't matter
    - Poorly programmed AI
    - Mishandled marketing and PR

Most CONs are not fundamental so given enough time, can be fixed. When and if fixed, Cyberpunk 2077 is easily a 9 or even a 10 out of 10. However enough time CDPR didn't give.

As is, Cyberpunk 2077 is mediocre at best.

Night City is one of the best looking futuristic cities created for a game, though it's not as interactive as it should be. The gameplay is comparable to Fallout 4 or Eidos' Deus Ex series, in that it's a first person shooter with RPG elements plus some looter elements of Borderlands. Customization and gampelay aren't as deep as Deus Ex though, and the action oriented gampelay route is often the one that's most rewarded. The story and characters are interesting and serviceable, but aren't as compelling as CDBR's Witcher 3. There are quite a few bugs at launch, with fairly frequent texture pop-ins, missing collisions, glitchy NPCs, and key binds that need to be manually changed in the config file. The game also requires quite a beefy rig o play. Expand

    - Abysmal framerates on older PC's evenn at lower detail settings.
    - The AI pathfinding of pedestrians, NPC's and motor vehicles is very poor and needs to be improved a lot.
    - The UI is very cluttered and non-intuitive.
    - The inventory system is overly complex and unwieldy.
    - The keybinds are all over the place. On one menu I press ESC to exit. On another menu I press F or C to exit. Scrolling sometimes uses the WASD keys and other times it uses the arrow keys. None of it is logical or consistent. One of the worst examples is the hacking interface keybinds.
    - The skill tree is very large and confusing. I've basically got to read through every single item to see what is most useful with the skill point I want to spend. The attribute tree is also confusing. To me red colour means you can't add a skill point but in this game you can and then it turns green once you have added it. There needs to be a clearer indicator of this.
    - The city needs fleshing out with more activities to do. Doors are marked "locked" but you cannot enter them. I can't buy noodles at noodle stores. There are no minigames.
    - The "braindance" activity was heavily promoted in gameplay videos and yet the final product does not even allow us to use braindancing outside of main quests. I am very disappointed with this ommission. There is even a shop that sells BD chips but no way to use them.

CDPR has a lot of work to do to improve the game. It is obvious due to time constraints and engine limitations they cut a lot from the game release. Let's hope over time they can add a lot of missing functionality back into the game. As it stands Cyberpunk 2077 is a solid 7/10 for me. I am enjoying it but it needs more work from the developer to make it a 9 or 10 out of 10.

Quickhacks were a lot of fun (although they do eventually get a little stale and trivialize most encounters). The setting was gorgeous, and the locations were worth exploring just to see all the detail built into the world. Mods do a lot to add content, polish rough spots, or tweak aspects of the game that aren't great by default.

The bad: I waited a full 2 years before trying this game after hearing about how massively buggy it was on release. Since then it recently won Steam's Labor of Love for all the subsequent work done to remedy its issues. But its still quite a mess. Save OFTEN, and use many individual saves. You will probably have to roll back at some point. Bugs are still all over the place. Several entire systems in the game are bare-bones or janky. Driving is miserable (mod helps), but this is somewhat mitigated because CDPR is clearly aware of this shortcoming and includes almost no content while driving. Underground fight leagues are also incredibly basic. In fact, you can win every fight by merely hard punching every opponent over and over due to stagger lock.

Overall, I'd say its worth buying on sale (I got it for just over $20 with the 50% off sale +Epic Store Coupon). The positives are potent enough to endure the negatives. I already have nearly 100 hours in the game, and I'll surely replay it again at some point...hopefully after most of the existing issues have been resolved.

Some of the backgrounds are better than others. The corporate background is painfully boring at the start. But generally the story is filled with boring cutscenes.

The NPCs are totally forgettable and come at you a mile a minute. I'm a fair ways into the game and I can only really remember one NPC by name. Even then I would say they were fairly generic.

Weapons are a joke. I can shoot someone point blank range in the head with a pistol and at best they take 20% damage.

The combat UI is awful. I played a stealthy tech character and I was having to hold down all these keys and do all this stuff just to do very basic tech moves in combat.

Levelling up itself is honestly pretty forgettable because of how little you get when you do it.

I don't think the game is a 0 and it certainly isn't a 10. But I would not recommend anyone buy it. Even if it were half of its current price. It just doesn't offer enough to be that special.

So so sad to see this game be released in this state. Managment really Fkd up. So much content cut out, even AI elements of gangs fighting on streets and so much more. This game will be absolutely amazing when its fixed. The way the story is told, the immersion, graphics, characters, everything is 10/10. Sadly right now the game is about 60% there.

    Started with (almost) no expectations.

Pros: - Great atmosphere. I read the paper RPG and imagined many times how Night City would look like - the game's rendition of a dystopian future is detailed and superb. Some scenes are as if Blade Runner or Altered Carbon came to life. - Great art design. I'm a sucker for retro-futurism, and the neon-look of the game's environment, cars, etc.

    - Great art design. I'm a sucker for retro-futurism, and the neon-look of the game's environment, cars, etc. delivers.
    - Interesting and thoughtful story. IMPORTANT: if you power through only the main storyline you will miss 80-90% of the narrative content, as, indeed, many side jobs reveal much more than the main storyline. So PLAY THE SIDE MISSIONS. You will feel rewarded. Kudos to the writing team.
    - Keanu Reeves is yo wingman. While one can debate his dramatic acting chops he delivers the loudmouth, egoistic, unbearable-prick-yet-he-has-a-point rocker Johnny Silverhand perfectly. Also lets not forget about the rest of the cast, who all deliver memorable characters.
    - Great soundtrack. I'm a sucker for electronic and industrial music, too.
    - Interesting, I prefer this game to the Witcher. Dunno why, both are bleak in their own right.
    - CDPR at least gave some mod support and brought the modders on board which is a sane decision.

    Cons:
    - Bugs. They are really annoying, even on PC. They break the immersion which is a pity in a game building so much on the atmosphere.
    - Limited clothing customisation options. The generated NPCs through the city wear more interesting stuff than the player character.
    - Release: given the buggy state of the game, had I pre-ordered the game at full price I would have been pissed, too. If the game had been released a year later and without bugs, it would be considered as one of the great games of the decade. Such a shame.

I bought the game for £40 and I consider it a good investment. Would give it 8 or 9 on the content, but the bugs and the release bring it down to a 7. If they iron out the glitches, build solid mod support, and add in DLCs in the future I would say this game still could be one that sets benchmarks in the future.
Respect to Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian games for the original game! (All of us knows cyberpsychosis will be a thing, I mean people are already going insane from looking at social media on a screen - so what will happen when Twitter will be wired directly into your brain?....)

Unfortunately this game is not what it was claiming to be as although it is open world, that seems like afterthought in this game. Zero interaction, ai of npc much worse than in gta iv, driving that has no feeling... As soon as you try to step out of story and wonder around whole world seems so empty and without any reaction to your presence, without ai, possible discussion or even reaction to your presence. This leads to big issue, once main story is finished there is nothing to be done as emptiness of world is preventing any wish to explore it as there is nothing to explore. Point a gun at driver, he doesn’t care, steal cop car, they don’t care, do something wrong police is magically appearing as no chase there... Whoever expected gtav in future will be sooo disappointed. But for single player story driven experience expect same as 5 year old witcher 3 experience - do your story and forget about open world.

Technical issues are not worth mentioning as I expect them to be covered in upcoming patches, but game mechanics will remain the same and it is really underwhelming after all videos - what you can do in cyberpunk. Actually nothing that is not scripted as part of story,

Well... about 20 hours into the game... here is my thoughts ...

    Story - 9/10

I am really enjoying the story, i think this is where the experience shines, much attention to detail went into these characters and fleshing them out, however i do feel like there is some things missed by not having the starting choices really effect your outcome aside from some different dialog choices under that starting point, as well as Clothes etc.. but i could be wrong here, that's just what i have witnessed so far 20 hours in.

    Graphics - 8/10

I think the graphics are stellar but i do feel that this may be the new Crysis for the RTX cards, I have a 2070 RTX and i can't even get 60 fps with Ray Tracing disabled and DLSS Disabled.. i have to at least put DLSS to Auto or Quality to get 50-60fps .. so perhaps some optimizing is required here.. but overall i have seen this game on full, and its breathtaking.. for me it loses some points because even with ray tracing off i can't really play a solid 60fps with DLSS turned off.

    Controls - 7/10

I think these could be fleshed out more, we need a walk function... driving could be tightened up ... there's a few things here, gets a 7 from me...

    Artificial Intelligence - 6/10

I think some things are broken here, mainly... Police... they are just absolutely busted, they don't chase you like in GTAV, they simply just spawn out of thin air and start attacking you, and sometimes when you don't even provoke it, they come in for the kill... this needs to be hugely tightened up .. but for the most part ... if you avoid crimes... you'll be ok.

    Overall Score - 7/10

With its current version, and the amount of glitches i have experienced, although the game is overall fun and i am having a blast with it ! the bugs are immersion breaking... and they need to be fixed and sorted... and the game better optimized, i am excited to see what the developer does in January - February as promised .. and where they end up , i will change my review at that point and update it. ! but for now.. ill keep enjoying what i can play now.

Summary: Cyberpunk 2077 is a game with great stories and characters and interesting build options hampered by an uninteractive open world sandbox, bad AI, and a lot of bugs.

    The good:
    - The main characters are interesting, well written, and well voiced.

    - The main quest and narrative side content is every bit as engaging as the Witcher 3.

    - The environmental design is just incredible. I have never been in a city in a game that felt so much like a city. The different districts all have their own unique flair, and with creative parkour skills you can reach some amazing vistas. The interiors of most of the buildings are inaccessible though which is a bit of a let down but understandable due to the scale of the city.

    - The sound design overall as well as the music is very good and adds to the games overall aesthetic.

    - The visuals/graphics are amazing on even medium grade hardware and truly stunning when you start turning settings up.

    - The game mechanics and build options are good. Gunplay is good for a RPG with a solid cover system. The quickhack system acts as a magic system and is fun to use. Melee combat is mostly standard fair for similar type games with light and heavy attacks, blocking, and timed counters. Likewise stealth is typical for similar type games.

    The meh:
    - The side quests are well written but linear. Don't expect optional objectives or alternate resolution paths.

    - Driving is okay but needs work. The mini-map is too zoomed in when driving which causes you to miss turns or spin out from braking too hard. Also in general the cars have too much oversteer. I honestly found myself walking most of the time unless I needed to travel a few kilometers or more.

    The bad:
    - The open world sandbox is fairly empty. There are side jobs and NCPD assaults which are kind of the replacements for monster contracts and monster nests from the Witcher 3, but CDPR hasn't improved emergent gameplay relative to the Witcher 3. The only events not driven by the player are NCPD scanner hustles which are small skirmishes between cops and the gangs and/or gangs holding a few civilians hostage. I really wish they had added more variety to random events (perhaps opportunities to recover stolen goods/vehicles, rob shipments, etc.).

    - Speaking of side activities, there are almost no "fluff" interactive activities. While the game world is absolutely littered with references to braindances you can only access a couple during story missions. Besides looting random containers and buying food/drinks from vending machines basically nothing in the world is interactable.

    - The NPC AI is terrible. Traffic moves unnaturally around corners and cars just stop as soon as they encounter an obstacle or slightly deviate off the road. When civilians panic, they just freeze and cower.

    - The crime system is a complete joke. There is no item ownership at all. If you see it, you can take it consequence free. If you do manage to anger the cops though, about 10 of them randomly spawn out of thin air and start shooting you. Luckily, all you have to do to get away is run/drive a block away, and they will completely forget your transgression.

    - The loot/gear system is the same terrible one from the Witcher 3. All weapons are leveled which means that your epic quality gun is gunning to be outclassed in a level or two by random world drops unless you spend very difficult to acquire materials to upgrade it. Speaking of random world drops, looting is very frustrating with weapons dropping underneath enemies bodies and rooms being littered with spread out loot rather than having a centralized "chest" with all the good stuff. The game could really use an auto loot system (i.e. just run near loot to pick it up) rather than having to individually scrounge every item.

    - Last but certainly not least, right now the game is a bit of a buggy mess. I find myself having to reload a save to resolve a bug every 1 to 1.5 hours of play. Major issues requiring reload are things like weapons suddenly not being able to be fired, UI elements becoming stuck, and quest objectives not completing. There are a plethora of more minor bugs/glitches as well like bad pop-in, NPCs T-posing (even during story cut-scenes), and enemies just standing still doing nothing in combat.

Overall, it feels like the game quality would be largely the same if the main and side quests were launched from a map (a la Mass Effect 1/2/3) rather than having the game be open world. That is really a shame given how breathtaking Night City is. That said, the narrative experience really delivers and if that is what you are after the game will be a treat once the bugs are sorted.

STORY & SIDE QUESTS: The main story is fine, but on the level of other AAA games, nothing above it like Mass Effect was for me. I don't need to save the world in-game, but I've missed some depth and atmosphere during the play. A good amount of dialogues were just ok. The decision selection was low, but maybe with another playthrough, I'll change my mind. But it felt railroaded a lot. Rather pushing you to the storyteller's story than your own. At some moments I was asking, why I haven't been given an option that felt more appropriate. There were very good parts and very blend parts too. The main story did not get into my skin so I would proclaim it as breathtaking. It was good, and still worth buying and go through tho.
There is one cinematics where you will see your character. One, which is a pity, and somehow I have a feeling that there was planned for more, as one of the bugs was actually showing your face during conversation and the model was moving lips..but somehow they probably decided to retract from that idea....The photo mode is saving the day here, but is it enough? I don't need to play through all being cinematics, but it somehow adds up to the atmosphere feelings for me. Romance options, I've expected more.
What bothered me a lot was the overwhelming push for all the jobs, phonecalls overlapping, rush, push...it didn't felt comfortable. I would prefer to experience a more chilled way to receive quests, rather than feeling like a target of Fixers Telecompany.

CHARACTER CREATION: Biggest disappointment for me is Character Creation. It's detailed but to an extent. As for body types, it failed my expectations. Having a badass woman beating a huge bodybuilder with her fists, while looking like a skinny top model did not add to my immersion. Mixing voices and adding penises to females feel odd rather than exciting, especially due to lack of customization.

THE OPEN WORLD, LOOT & CRAFTING: 1st person is good. The night city looks great visually, but somehow you can't interact too much with it. Sure there are shops, various NPCs which...just walk and don't want to talk to you. It feels just fake sadly. Do we really need open worlds in RPGs? I rather have an engaging, in-depth and epic story to play than playing GTA5 in the future. It feels like GTA5, better in some aspects, worse in others. Tons of loot. I was somehow hoping that there will be more meaningful and less loot, you will spend a lot of time with loot management and it kept me distracted from playing and enjoying the story. It also felt odd that you can loot basically everything in front of everyone without consequences. Crafting...mhm...didn't use much, because with so much loot there was not much point. All is expensive a lot, didn't have a chance to buy all while completing a lot of side missions. The economy isn't as bad as in GTA5, but not the greatest. The apartment is useless as well as other loot. GTA5 beats Cyberpunk in here.

COMBAT & PROGRESSION: Combat is ok and fun, similar to Ghost Recon. It was fun, AI is dumb. The skill tree and the progression is good and gives you a chance to make a unique playstyle, although more points wouldn't be bad.

MUSIC: Music and sound is great.

BUGS: I am sure you've heard and read a lot about them...only a few times it broke my immersion, a few times gave me a good laugh. But PC is tolerable I guess? Folks with PS4 must be raging madly from what I've seen. For PC it is on verge of release, for Consoles, it should never been rushed like this. Especially with the motto: "It releases when it's ready."

FINAL WORDS: *shrugs* I would still recommend this game on PC. It's better than most of the crap released last year.
Somehow I am mad, that all the effort, all the years...for this? It is subjective...it is still a good game, just with that overhype...I've expected more, sorry CD Projekt.
As expectations were much higher. Sadly CD Projekt damaged its own reputation with poor management decisions and every future game from this company should be not pre-ordered.

What Cyberpunk does well, it does extraordinarily well. But where it falls, it falls so hard that it actually hurts. Don't get me wrong. It's not a bad game. At all. I do recommend it.

The world is, for lack of a better word, breathtaking. I found myself just looking and taking in the sights more times than I can count. This is truly a beautiful work of art. One of best looking games I've seen by far, both technically and artistically. The characters, story and narrative are another high point. I loved them. All of them. They had such unique persona's, each with strengths and weaknesses. Their dialogue, voice acting, motion capture and even the small facial expressions are absolutely top notch. They almost feel real. There is so much love and care in here, it's practically bursting at the seams.

Of course it goes without saying but there is A LOT that is currently wrong or straight up missing. Stability is the major roadblock as of now. Granted, I didn't run into any game-breaking bugs but visual glitches, audio hiccups and physics bugouts are a regular part of the experience. As is braindead or non-existent AI. It really, really sucks. The other major issue is that this is an open-world game that is completely lacking in open-world mechanics. There's really nothing you can do outside of predetermined missions. Maybe you can drive around or go for a walk, but even that's a stretch as the number of glitches you'll run into will immediately bring you out of it.

But more than anything, I'm looking forward to the day where CP2077's potential will be fully realized. If or when that day comes, It's going to truly be something for the ages.

Gun play is fine, fighting with melee weapons is disappointing because you just wildly slash around. Every boss fight so far has glitched out on me and enemies just stand around and wait for you, occasionally ducking out of cover or throwing a grenade, but they don't move around much. Companions yell random senseless comments that don't fit the situation all the time. Also honestly I am not sure if companions even make any damage in fights. I have the impression that they don't but I might be wrong, but very helpful they are not. Overall it feels like the developers just did not bother to try and program an AI or gave up halfway through. Dialogues also frequently glitch out a bit so characters end up repeating themselves or talking over one another.

The city is very, very beautiful and atmospheric, but there is not that much to do. So it's like a beautiful stage set that you just wander through - at least you can see everything is handmade with much detail. NPCs have only a few words to say if you try to talk and move around the city like on rails, giving a very robotic impression. There's many side quests that are usually not that interesting.

Several promised features have apparently been cut or reduced. There is no wall running, you can't customise your apartment, etc. The graphics were downgraded too, it's not bad and the lighting is really good and atmospheric but sometimes things can look a bit meh.

The story so far is pretty good, as are most of the characters and dialogues. They are really loveable but also you can only talk to them sometimes if the plot allows it. However, being in act 2 so far I have already noticed that the plot is starting to be not as well done as in act 1 anymore, the dialogues less carefully choreographed. I really liked the staging of the plot relevant events & dialogues at the beginning but it seems to be starting to worsen. We'll see.

The soundtrack is banging, and the overall setting is fun. Really the biggest problem for me is the lack of AI, it just makes the fighting meh. Even police is no threat because if they get called on you they just randomly spawn somewhere around you, then usually glitch out and after a few seconds of laying low the warrant is called off. I am having fun, but this game is not what you would expect from 8 years of development and would have probably needed a whole another year to properly reach a finished state. I hope fixes will come in soon to enhance the experience. Either way it will look like CDPR will take a huge reputation hit from this.

I am still playing through many of the great side quests, finished the main story line and got one of the endings but sitting at around 35 hours or so. I have loved it and the game looks amazing, managed to run the game on high/ultra settings with Ray Tracing and get 60fps on average unless i'm speeding through the city or enter a crowded market its just a shame despite so many NPCs walking the streets the game feels pretty baren.

I had one crash and it was during my first few minutes when i was changing graphics settings over and over to find the best setting for my rig. The bugs i encountered were that of T poses here and there as well as once or twice my car or bike falling through the ground, lastly was a bug where the scanner function would get stuck and i had to reload my save to fix it. In the grand scheme of things none of these bugs made me mad or anything but I was just lucky.

Unfortunately, CDPR over sold the capabilities of this game, there's no hairdressers, ripper docs don't have further unlockable cosmetic cyberware for V to equip, I see so many characters with different cyberware and even some characters with chrome arms or bodies, V can't get anything like that, the bigest changes for V you can make are the Arms, like Mantis blades and Gorilla Arms but its honestly pretty minimal.
There's no car customisation, not even being able to change the colour some them. Took ages to grind for the cash to buy many of them. The Quadra from the trailer, that nice black one with the spoiler and such, the one i bought in game is a bright ass aqua colour or something.

The life path you chose impacts so little, in a bunch of conversations you get you Nomad, Street kid and Corpo dialogue options, but they don't actually do much to change events or anything.

The people giving 0s, 1s, 2s and 8s, 9s and 10s are **** idiots with their heads up their own asses. The game isn't the messiah many wanted nor is it a steaming pile of **** that is unplayable and should be thrown in the bargain bin. It is a fun game, but just not the one we were led to believe. The issue is basically we didn't get the whole pie, things were cut out or left for DLC i suspect.

+ Gameplay is generally fun and varied depending on how you choose to level up. Stealth, melee, swords, cyberhacking... It's all there!
+ Plenty of side missions, with generally good variety.
+ Looks mostly beautiful if you have a good gig.

    The cons:
    - It's very known now, but the game is incredibly buggy. At one instance, I had to restart a full boss fight that I had a hard time beating because the game decided it doesn't want me to make dialogue choices anymore.
    - Technically, the game is not well polished with inconsistent frame rates and little impact to graphic settings. I was getting generally between 50 and 80FPS. But the game did drop to 40 FPS in some crowded areas. That is on a 2080 GTX without ray tracing mode - but on 2K.
    - The open world aspect of the game is quite lacking and a step backwards from games like GTA. AI is very robotic, the driving is quite dull, and there's not much to do or see in the city. It's unecessarily huge, but very repetitive all over the place with mostly minimal interactions with NPC or things you can do really.
    - The UI is a big mess, including the crafting system. Consumables are mostly useless as well. The quest log doesn't have the concept of sub-quests, and mixes up important ones with things like buying new cars.

I honestly feel the scope of the game wouldn't have been achieved even with multiple more years in development. I can see what the devs are trying to do here, but rather than building many above-average mechanics, they should've focused on the action-RPG part, and focused on a smaller but more dynamic city and minimise the GTA-like concepts.

The ambientation and visual aspects of the game are beyond incredible, it can be the best modernish-type of map for an open world builded. Night City visualy is just amazing, aswell as the look of the citizens, cars and neighborhoods.
BUT, and it's a pretty damn big BUT, the city is just dead, there is no interaction between citizens, the IA is so bad, police is still dumb after a year from it's release date and the game is still bugged in a lot of things.

Overall, the experience was good for me, but Cyberpunk 2077 was just mediocre and it had the potential to be one of the best.

CDPR delivered an OK first attempt at capturing the Cyberpunk universe.

Despite the patches and updates, the game still feels undercooked. It's like a meal that's been finished off in the microwave - tepid and unsatisfying. The story is cool, Night City is awesome, and you can make this game better with mods (and the mod support for this game is pretty good). Overall, not as bad

As it is, the 1.31 version I played was functional, with a relative minimum of bugs and crashes, though far from zero. It's a game I would have paid for.

There's not much I can tell you about the game you haven't already heard. Put short, it's a visually striking title with truly excellent voice acting and facial animations, supported by a reasonably entertaining, if wildly unbalanced combat system that overwhelmingly favors firearms and revolvers in particular, and passable driving physics. It has open-ended character progression if not equal effectiveness of character builds, a robust character creator though not a lot of opportunities to view said character, a lot of nods to the tabletop game's lore and other cyberpunk fiction, a trans character who simply exists as a person without that being a central and exploited aspect of their writing, and honestly some of the coolest vehicle designs I've seen in a game. And of course, Keanu Reeves delights with his portrayal of series mainstay Johnny Silverhand, a complex and compelling character that is at once terrorist and freedom fighter, **** and capable of personal growth. Cherami Leigh, who I knew and loved as Gaige in the Borderlands series, acts her heart out right back as the female version of protagonist V.

It is undeniably buggy, however, though perhaps less so from the **** I'd heard about at launch. I saw the occasional floating car, t-posing character, randomly exploding piles of papers and garbage, duplicated civilian models, un-grabbable items (though never an exceptionally rare item) and characters clipping into walls and disappearing, and so on- and yes, these could and did happen in the middle of otherwise poignant scripted scenes. I encountered no issues with corrupted save files however, and only two fatal crashes, both of which I believe were tied to the "Monowire" weapon, specifically when trying to block and counterattack with it. I was warned that the Mantis Blades weapon would also cause crashes, but had no issues with either that or the Gorilla Arms. The enemy AI, especially that of the cops, is indeed laughable, but I can't fairly say that it detracted from my enjoyment.

I've also heard an argument that CP77 isn't actually a very good example of cyperpunk as a genre, and I'm not sure I'm educated enough to comment on that. Aesthetically I think it hits the marks, but in terms of its writing, the central narrative is largely about saving one's own skin, though you are given ample opportunities to help or hinder others along the way. There is notably very little the protagonist can do, or even to express an interest in, bettering the quality of life in Night City as a whole, so much as simply trying to survive it, this conflict being central to Johnny Silverhand's character and his past failings. As far as dystopic fiction in general goes however, Night City as presented is a successful artist's rendering of one of the most nightmarish post-capitalist hellscapes I've seen, a place where people are murdered in the dozens by the day, the police are privately-owned, trigger-happy and ultimately lousy at their jobs, proper medical care is restricted to the uber-rich, some people have to eat of garbage cans to survive and corporations act completely outside the bounds of law, tact, morality or common decency. In other words, an environment not far removed from the America we know today- only we don't have the cool and useful cybernetic augmentations to ease our transition into corpo-fascist-induced societal collapse.

I'd seen what I'd needed to of Cyberpunk's combat mechanics about 25-30 hours in, but the sheer amount of side content padded the game out far beyond that- I think I was closing in on 100+ hours by the time the credits rolled. It's an immense game, and much like other titles of this nature maybe too much so for it's own good. it's mechanics really don't hold the game up for that long. CP77 has no less then FOUR layers of missions- the central story chain and "side jobs" as in many other games, but then the "gigs" and NCPD contracts, the latter of which offer no story whatsoever and are simply a means of gaining experience and items. and you will need to do nearly every one of these encounters to reach the game's level cap of 50. If you adhere to the admittedly dated and questionable "hour per dollar" metric of a game's value, CP77 certainly delivers on that score.

I can't recommend buying CP77, but I also can't say it isn't worth playing. I can only say it's a shame its publisher did not act in good faith.

Furthermore, there is really nothing more to do than to drive to a location kill everything or just steal something without killing everyone. Even the grand story missions follow the exact same mediocre gameplay. As there is a lack of mini-games that make the game varied. I usually stick to multiplayer shooters like EFT, Insurgency and PUBG, and went into the game expecting nothing. I did not pre-order it and tried to limit my expectations to the minimum as much as I could, especially due to the fact that a game with so many years of development with no constant audience feedback (alphas and betas) is bound to have a few issues.

Also, I run a GTX 1080 with an intel i9-8th gen and granted, in some densely populated areas my frames drop to 50 in medium settings.

With that being said, this game got to me in the first 10 hours. Honestly having excited and craving for more. After that, it became superficial, superfluous, with no real skin in the game. Decisions became mundane with no real impact on the game and defeating enemies was all too easy (even in the hardest difficulty). I felt like a tourist on NC, admiring it, but never a part of it.

    Pros:

    >Music - never had such an amazing audiophile experience like this. Truly immersive and a masterpiece in all regards (especially on critical missions)
    >Gunplay - Sometimes a little arcady for my hardcore taste, but when mixed with the melee and hacking and stealth and cover system it ends up being a really fun and exciting combination
    > Story - really dark and engaging, pretty short from the W3, but still good.

    Cons:

    > Driving - I've never been a fan of driving games and for me this is tedious and just a means to an end when I want to get quickly to my next quest. The driving system is also quite meh
    >Ambition - I mention this as a con because of the high number of angry people that cannot play this game properly (even above 30fps) due to the sheer size of the world, which is backfiring on them. Sadly, if you do not have a powerful gaming rig, you will not be able to enjoy this game for now :(
    >Weapon modifications - being an avid hardcore shooting gamer, I am used to be able to modify weapons extensively. Here you have max 2 attachments per gun (after 12 hours of playing), very poor for an FPS game

It is not a perfect game and it does have a few funny bugs here and there. Sure it needs polishing and optimization, but if you are able to tolerate that (I have average framerates of 80 in low populated areas) this is a fun game, which sadly reeks of mediocrity considering the time they spent on it. Honestly, the game has little innovation to offer when compared to similar titles.

It is a shame that CDPR was not more transparent for our fellow console players and should receive the fallout for it.

Keanu Reaves was a good addition, but far from being a key piece in delivering a game that feels like a 2015 FPS.

the biggest (or maybe only) advantage of cp2077 is it's story and narrative, while your choices don't impact the story as much as I expected, it's story has been really exciting from start until now the characters are also good.
when you play cp2077 you feel you are experiencing an incomplete mess which could be a masterpiece if more time was spent working on it, the game lacks necessary details that you expect from an open world game, the npc and enemy ai is terrible, the vehicle handling is aweful, animations aren't natural and you will see a lot of bugs, including game breaking ones. on the other hand there are many weopons and upgrades and various missions that you can enjoy the main missions are good (bugs aside) but most of the side quest are boring imo.
while nightcity is designed very well and the game's graphics are nice (especially lighting) the game's world feels empty and lifeless.
the game isn't optimized even on pc, I had to lower the resolution to 90% and lock the fps to 30 while I can play other games with better graphic settings.

    The OK

-Combat is merely OK, shooting people is alright, but it's choppy with the blades & melee, reminds me of a Bethesda game.
    - Sidequests are fairly boring & don't live up to Witcher 3s quality of writing

    The bad

-The world lacks immersion & interaction -Stuck in first person you feel distanced from your character -A.I is poor

The story within the 9 hours that I have played is cohesive and engaging. As a RPG game a lot of mechanics can be overwhelming much like the braindancing and quickhacking functions , but they do service purpose and with time an use you do get more comfortable using them.
The driving is a bit stiff, but with more time played you do unlock better handling vehicles plus there is the fast travel option. The weapons are very cool and much like the driving can be a pain to use, but upgrades to V attributes weapons become easier and fun to use. Overall cyberpunk 2077 is very ambitious and immersive game that need more time to be developed.

The crowd density of the city is unmatched in any game by far. It's really helps bring everything to life with more immersion. Many repeats of NPCs however. The gunplay feels fantastic early. Super weighty, and the sound design is incredible. People say it's spongey, it's an RPG, not an FPS. It isn't spongey like The Division, enemies do react to being shot, umm, sometimes. Don't expect to kill with one headshot early on but there are perks that can help with that when coming from stealth. When you get a critical headshot it's very rewarding, especially when you know you modified or crafted a weapon, or leveled up or utilized a perk to make it happen. You can't go into this thinking it's an fps. You have to be strategic, and the customization of perks and weapons is deep! On difficult, the game is very challenging early, the ai is intense, all though not always consistent. For example when overheating enemies with quick hacks when unseen, the ai just takes it without much reaction. The action gets fast and intense with great pace and a phenomenal score. Unfortunately this doesn’t last. If only. The combat gets very boring once you start leveling up. The AI is exposed and quite honestly it pains me to say, horrible. Even on the highest difficulty the game is extremely easy. You can kill almost anyone with a single headshot after a while, which is fine by me, except most NPCs just wait for you to do so. There is hardly any challenge at all unfortunately, and this really drags the game down. NPCs can be found zonking out in the corner without a care in the world awaiting for the grim reaper that is you. The story of the game is the strength, but it can’t compare to the brilliance of the Witcher, so be sure to reset your expectations. The life paths unfortunately don't seem to effect the game very much, and feel a bit disjointed. I'm playing as a Nomad, and I act like I have known people in Night City for a long time right away. There's some heavy exposition done with a montage which is disappointing, and I question the replay-ability from a life path perspective. Sure you can play again in an entirely different way, but the narrative seems to drive itself far more than I anticipated. It does seem like your choices matter to a degree, but I don't feel like my life path choice matters at all. I have avoided some conflict thought dialogue, but expected there would be more choice and passive options overall. With that said, the writing of each individual mission is intriguing and well crafted. Quest design is excellent! There are several outcomes possible in some scenarios. You can get to 100 hours easily, but the longer I played the less satisfied I became. There's a ton of thoughtful gigs, meaningful side quests, and places to explore. When you invest in crafting and selling all your collectibles your time is going to shoot up way up, and it's rewarding for only the beginning stages of the game. After that it’s an unbearable grind. If you are going to do a slow burn, you'll have to make some mental excuses as the main story has much urgency. Urgency is good for story, but conflicting for open world rpgs. Structure is important, and it isn’t well designed in Cyberpunk 2077. For those looking only for a quick story this will be perfect, but you will be rewarded more for exploration, and a city this dense demands it. So the structure has a confound, but it's a matter of perception.

There's an overwhelming amount of missions to do in Night City. I wish there was more opportunity to take advantage of some of the set, such as sit down and eat a meal or have a drink like in RDR2, or upgrade your apartment, purchase a new one, customize your look after creation, customize your car, play the arcades you keep seeing, etc. We know CDPR creates fantastic DLC, so it isn't out of the question. With that said I can't speak highly enough about the crowd density in this massive city. This game is going to get a ton of hate because of all the hype and delays, and the very unfortunate console experience. Some of that is deserved if the game isn't playable, but here on PC I haven't had many issues. The issues are with the game itself. Overall the world, and attention to story feels solid, despite a questionable structure. The gameplay has been exciting with some solid depth, but ultimately brings the game down with bad AI and way too much loot that makes crafting worthless because you are constantly finding better equipment than you can craft. You’ll need to empty your inventory every hour which is a pain in the butt. I made a heavy investment spanning 100 hours because I love the city and many moments of the story CDPR created. Unfortunately the longer I played the more flaws I saw.

Updated: Close to the end, I've noticed the quirks and the general emptiness of the game. I never had a crash though and I liked the story. It's just it doesn't look so good once you scratch the varnish. I've adjusted the score accordingly.

    Original:

Cyberpunk 2077 is a dark, sometimes depressing, dystopian, resolutely adult-only game with an accurate take on the cyberpunk genre. Gamer discretion is advised : there is violence, gore even, and it doesn't shy from sexual references.

The rendering is beautiful and the music fits well with the atmosphere. The ray-tracing clearly adds the the realism.
I've found the story very enjoyable. The characters I've encountered are well fleshed out. I love interacting with them, it's fantastic. It has been a long time since I felt an emotional response to a video game character. The world feels alive, even if it's for a short time given that violence is never far.
During some transitions, I feel like in a good movie. Sometimes a depressing scene reminds me of the original Blade Runner.

If I wanted to be nitpicking, ...
One thing that could be improved as far as I'm concerned is the key customization. I've been able to reconfigure what I needed but I would like to be able to reconfigure everything.
Also, I've encountered once an issue consistent in one pedestrian disappearing mid-walk.

I've heard some people had performance issue, my machine isn't exactly weak though, and the game is installed on an high-speed NVMe.

This is the best game I've played in a long time, by far : I'm not easily pleased.

If you are an adult attracted by good stories, dystopian worlds, role-play in general and you own a relatively powerful computer, preferably with an RTX card, you have to try this one.

The game is entertaining and graphically fulfills very well.

It has BUGs, but for the size it has and fresh out it is normal.

Now why I don't recommend it:

The game is unfinished, you have the feeling that it is hollow. It is very clear that they wanted to do a lot of things and they have left almost everything half done.

    I am disappointed.

    Good:
    - Story is good, better than most of the games on market these days, which is great. Cutscenes and are great, main characters are spot on.
    - Graphics is great, especially when using RTX, which makes frame rate dip far below 60 in many scenes even on RTX 3080 that you barely can get anywhere these days.

    Not so good/dissapointing:
    - My main disappointment is that the open world is blank, empty etc. in terms of mechanics. Nothing seems to have a substance or feel to it, everything is just there for you to look at, just mere appearance of a city.
    - Game lacks content and variety, there are almost zero mini-games, professions, factions etc. No car tuning, even no barber shop or tatoo shop, which is bizzare.
-RPG systems are weak, because there is no real transmog and not many options to fine-tune your experience or equipment outside of some not so interesting mods.
    - Some minor things, like HUD has no tranparency option, map in uniformative and all secondary missions no matter the type has exactly the same question mark icon etc. You cannot unfollow any mission for just free-roam, a reminder always stays in the screens right corner, unless you switch of HUD in potions menu.
    - Lots of readable lore with no real interest to dive into it.
    - Outdated stealth, shooting, driving - gameplay in general.
    - No endgame or new game + , replayability also seems limited.

    Really not that good:
    - Tons of bugs that break immersion.

After fixing performance and bugs, I might as well give this game a 8 - 8.5, but it needs more major changes to be done in order to deliver what was initially promised. More content and many more gameplay systems need to be flashed-out, then this may as well be a worthy GTA contender in world of Cyberpunk.

I enjoyed the game but, even playing on hard, after the first 20% of the game combat was just too easy. I appreciate they different ways you can spec a character, but after I found hand guns was too easy I switched to quick hacking and that was even worse. Replayability would have been better if more content was locked out based on your chosen skill tree.

I've noticed Alot of visual glitches.. Even had a character be in their T Pose! Facial expressions In the mirror of your apartment (And other mirrors around the game i do believe) DO NOT WORK ATALL. Which is Really disappointing for how far this game has been push back

The storyline, is quite hard to follow.. but that's probably just a personal problem as I'm not the best at focusing, and i am at least able to get a rough idea of what's happening.

It's a beautiful game, But you need the Computer to run it..

I have an 6700k with GTX 980, And i play on 1440p, 75% Scaling (Renders at 1080p) low settings, and i get 40fps... Which isn't ideal.. BUT ALOT better than How it runs on the PS4 for example.. and I feel bad for the players who are either stuck on ps4 as they can't find a ps5, or can't afford a new console right now... with Christmas coming up.

But as it's a next gen game, I'm not going to attack the performance too much.. but i also believe optimizations could of been done more efficiency

Cyberpunk 2077 Definitely give me Watch dogs vibes with the focus on hacking and Technology, but that was expected due to the High tech future that the game is set in.

I was VERY Disappointed with ALOT of the overhyped stuff, Especially the character expression.. I didn't care about the nudity.. and i do think that was pushed a bit too much.. but even then i was hoping that you'd be able to resize ur face and other body parts with a slider or drag controls, rather than 2-3 preset sizes..

My character Looks **** imo, and The character customization was Very limiting

I'm going to try and play through this game, but i have a feeling it might drone on..

TL;DR this game was overhyped, released buggy.. Looks amazing but playabillity is more about the game looking good

This game is made with a detailed approach to development, beautiful first-person scenes, non-linearity in the story sections and additional quests, there is a good physics of transport depending on its type and price. Bugs that are on the release for a certain period of time will fix as it was with the Witcher 3 on the release.

Even bought collector edition. So i was pretty hyped but there are tons of things that killed it in me. So I will starts with cons

Even bought collector edition. So i was pretty hyped but there are tons of things that killed it in me. So I will starts with cons
    • First of all bugs - I don't think there are any aspects of the game that aren't broken. NPCs, floating guns and cars, looting system, AI, audio, interface and the list goes on. It's not like those bugs are any kind of game breaking but you get them constantly. You want to change car camera? Well, first you need to leave car. You want to loot something? Stand on it and stare down. Tons of characters don't even open their mouths.
    • Performance - I might not have a killer PC but holy game automatically started on ultra - nice. I'm not.gojng to talk about fps(got around 60 when went to medium settings), but the whole game renders so fu❤️king long. You can just run it o character and it will look like pre 2000 NPC. Same goes for cars. You often need to zoom into them for game to render them properly. Same goes with your weapon. Running with invisible katana is horrible. Overall the game looks nice, it has nice graphics when they works but I've experienced so many ugly animations so far that it's unbelievable.
    • Lack of content - you can't customise your character during the game, you can walk, you are forced to wear cloths that give you good armor and look horrible. Skill tree might looks huge but overall it seems to work like weapon modifications / most of the stats doesn't make sense. Broken economy, broken crafting. Also your screen is almost whole.the time full of some information which is distracting
    • And one more time AI is broken. Police spawns in dozens of unites in a few second but when you run for 20 secs then just give up on chasing on you. Drivers will always stay behind your car. Enemies often just stop shooting at you or it takes seconds for them to realise that someone is shooting at them. Stealth is horrible, after spending hounded hours in dishonored and Deus Ex I don't even consider trying it - it's so horribly dumb and scripted. Also interaction with people was better in postal So much for negatives. Didn't make whole story so not gonna talk about it for know. How about good things?
    • I like the combat. It's dynamic and satisfying. It's probably not everyones story but after you level up with your guns it becomes more and more fun
    • Its generally entertaining. I'm currently doing some basic quests but the whole lore and SF atmosphere really works out for the game. City is full of activities you can just encounter and discover • City is amazing. It's really big, beautiful and full of things to do. Looks amazing at night. Never even thought about fast travel
    • Music is dope as fu@k. Both score and radio are amazing • Quests and story so far are great. You really want to dig some others characters story I still recommend this game. I know that CDRP will definitely fix it and will work on it a lot (although they really lost tons of respect, currently game is not even close to what they promised on social media). It feels like good game but that's it. I was really hoping for 10/10 game but the best it can get is 8/10. It just lacks too much and doesn't deliver in many basic aspects of the gameplay. If CDRP take more care of it then it probably can almost become what Witcher 3 has accomplished. For now it's just better to wait and hope for patches. They now that they screw up, they know that it's not final product and that there should be another delay, they are not blind. The only thing is how king will it take to fix it. Game is in horrible state right now. Enjoyable but it just hurts how much potential they have wasted. If you are not in a hurry - don't buy it now. Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot to offer but right now you might just not feel it. As someone who was hugely hyped for game, it's a kind of sad, because I know that devs wanted to give a great game but something has f$cked up during development..

After some more time in the game the story seems really gun, I love the idea they went with. Characters are well written and it's always nice to come back to them and get to know more. Really wished it wouldn't be so rushed. Game has potential but it way to flat in too many levels going below avarage of game's that we have already played in the past

I've lost all trust in that aspect to them.

I begin whith the first thing you experience: Graphics. Is it any good? Well, yes and no. Very uneven. Some parts of the game look amazing and the citys architecture is fenominal, but everything that isnt tied to the main story or the side missions have a noticable lower graphical standard and the difference is too big its distracting.

Sound design is the same way. The sounds that are there are phenomenal and the music is captivating but then there are actions that completely lack sound like breaking certain windows and crafting makes no sound at all.

The stories told in this game are slightly above avarage but nothing a will reflect upon. There is no satisfaction after completing a questline like when youve done something in the Witcher 3 for example.

The biggest problem this game has though is the main character V and his/hers trusty sidekick Keanu. V is the most generic character ive seen in a videogame since Cole from the first two infamous games. Grizzly voiced tough guy with a heart of gold paired with an overrated actor that has only put out mindless action movies the past decade that pops in out of nowhere to say something snarky. Either you have a silent protaganist like in skyrim, or you give us a character that already has a story and a real personality.

Gun play is suprisingly good, i thought that aspect of the game would be bad and the role playing would be good but its completely reversed.
Guns have a real kick to them and shooting holes and limb off of people have never been this much fun. The cyberware is a good way to customize your character to how you want to play. Wanna be a sneaky netrunner who hacks into people and things or do you want to be a superfast ninja that cuts people up without anyone has the time to react? The choice is yours.

So if youre looking for an futuristic action game with a decent story then i would highly recoment this, just dont expect to be sucked into an amazing story of how cyberenhancments is changing us as people, its not there.

The game itself looks and runs fine, I haven't noticed any game breaking bugs, only few glitches here and there, nothing major and nothing that would interfere with my game, plus I'm sure those will be ironed out in a month or two. The graphics is very nice as you probably know (running on medium/high settings on my 1070 just fine). The game play itself is okay, it's 3d shooter with a mix of gta, deus ex and borderlands. The hacking and stealth aspects seem a bit underdeveloped and not very interesting so I mostly play the game as 3d shooter with occasional use of stealth or hacking which seems to work fine and what the game seems to be designed for. The crafting mechanics seem a bit pointless as after 30 hours I haven't even touched crafting yet. One aspect of the game that I dislike is the gear you get - there does not seem to be much thought put into different classes and gear sets and that sort of thing (like combat vs hacker vs stealth gear types that would promote different styles of game play) - it seems to be completely random which also makes things a bit silly. A tank top can have higher armor than armor plate carrier vest, etc. which means that most of the time you look quite stupid as you just use whatever has the highest stats, even if it makes no visual sense. None of these things are major issues though and so far the game is fine, but my next few point are big ones - the story, the characters and the quests are all not very good. The main story is not very interesting, it seems to be a classic "taking down the system" type story but so far it is a bit bland. The characters are also bland and uninteresting - you don't spend enough time with anyone so they just come and go and I don't care about any of them, I don't even remember their names. One slightly interesting character is Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reeves - he's a bit of an a-hole but at least you get to know him a bit and is at least memorable somewhat and the circumstance of our relationship (without going into spoilers) is a bit different than I expected (I'd like to point out that I knew pretty much nothing about CP2077 before playing it, I completely missed the hype train and everything which was probably a good thing). A big missed opportunity are the side quests in my opinion - they are very bland. The side quests usually revolve around killing or rescuing someone or stealing some documents from some computer. But whats the real problem is that they get none of the well crafted stories like we've seen in Witcher 3. You get most of the side missions simply by a phone call and a text message, no meeting of interesting characters, no cut scenes, no dialogs, no decisions to be made, etc. which is really disappointing. The side quests in Wither 3 were very well done, with interesting stories being told and some very memorable moments. Unfortunately in CP2077 there's none of that, that's a very big step back, the side quests are dime a dozen and forgettable, one just like the others. Overall the game is a bit of a let down. It's far from terrible as some people try to imply but it's also a big missed opportunity. Ultimately, while the game play is enjoyable enough, the game just becomes bland and boring, which I mostly attribute to uninteresting story, characters and side quests. I will probably finish the game but so far the game hasn't really hooked me. I think 6 or 7 out of 10 is fair score. Expand

First of all, this game is fantastic on some levels. It truly has a great story that is very gripping and so far has plenty of twists and turns. It’s a great dystopian story that should be experienced by anyone who is a fan of these types of things.

Graphically, it’s beautiful, very beautiful actually. The design of Night City and the outlying areas are fantastic and it’s easy to see why a game like this took so long to make, everything is dripping with detail and it’s vibrant. While it doesn’t look good as the trailers, the in-game graphics do look good on a half-decent PC.

The voice acting is incredible, including Keanu Reeves who truly nailed his role. The addition of Keanu Reeves makes it a little better because he does such a great job with his role. The music is great and has that cyberpunk vibe.

The gameplay is fun. It plays like other looter shooters/RPG's out there, like Destiny 2 and Borderlands. Some enemies can be a little Bulletspongey but I feel that if you do side quests it’s not that bad because you gain better equipment which lets them go down quicker and the progression systems are very nice.

It so far has a great story, with incredible acting, great pacing with a few minor areas of padding in the story and a very fast-paced feel to it, with great direction. The story is engaging and is keeping me wanting to see how it ends.

Now… normally I’d give a game like this an easy 9/10, with only a point knocked off for some less then stellar side quests and minor pacing issues but this is where the game takes its biggest hit for me. The technical issues. They’re bad. Day one, they were abysmal, made me consider just refunding it and trying it again in a year or so when the inevitable ‘complete’ edition comes out with all the DLC. But the added patches are helping.

Still, this game needed probably 6 more months to iron everything out. It’s appalling that they’d delay it to now to release it in this state. Sure, it would’ve created controversy but the controversy would’ve been less if it came out with no major technical issues. It’s not just graphical issues either. I’ve missed important dialog options that will affect the story. I’ve also had instances where an item will pop up but it won’t go away for a few minutes, meaning I can’t acquire any other items. I found clipping issues as well, including my character dying when he shouldn’t have. Most of the issues are graphical hiccups which I can tolerate but when it happens more than it should, that does hamper the experience. Nothing is more immersion-breaking than having to restart just to get past a glitch. AI also has issues. Cops don’t even attempt to chase you. I don’t know if it’s due to a faulty script, considering the Witcher 3 had better AI and it’s made by the same company.

So, should you buy it? Yes… but it might be best to wait a few months. Right now, it’s still very rough around the edges. The story, overall gameplay, voice acting, and everything else is great but the technical issues bring what should be an easy 9/10 down to IMO a 7/10 at best. When it's fixed, it’ll probably be fantastic but right now, they released it too early and they should be held accountable for this.

I can say that I am lucky and I didn't encountered a lot of game breaking bugs or crashes but i still encounter them and a lot of other people. The game itself its amazing( the story is an ez 10/10) but there are RIGHT NOW too many problems. I recommend buying this game after some patches because like I said earlier the game is simply amazing. But I will give it a 7 for now.

First things first, the game's quite good and very accessible from a controls standpoint. That's not to say that the controls are a cakewalk, they certainly have a learning curve and it doesn't take long to get into grips with and that's a plus. I sank around 56 hours into the game since release day and that contains 2 20 hour playthroughs(with breaks here and there of course) on day 1 and day 2 and a 16 hour playthrough on day 3, so i think I'm more than knowledgeable enough to talk about the game's shortcomings.
One very evident thing i noticed and that hasn't been fixed yet is the wide assortment of bugs featured in the game. Characters walking through objects and elevators, random hitches and performance drops here and there occurring all too frequently and making the experience far less enjoyable, extremely rare graphical glitches in certain areas and so on. It is unacceptable launching a game in this state. People brush it off simply because it was developed by CDPR but it really shouldn't get a free pass like that, had it been another developer people would be all over them.
With these things been said, I want to get into the nitty gritty things in the game as soon as possible so I don't make this review a full on essay. The story is quite good, it won't raise the bar or reinvent the wheel in terms of storytelling and voice acting but that didn't stop it from being a good cyberpunk story set in the near future for me and it manages to capture that essence or feeling quite well, i have to warn you though, it does tend to get a fair bit generic at certain points so don't go in expecting it to "blow your socks off". Next is the soundtrack and ambiance which along with the visuals can make the game feel utterly realistic and somewhat atmospheric in specific areas, especially at night with all that neon and street lights going on creating an almost surreal and gorgeous looking game, one with a soundtrack that tends to capture that cyberpunk aesthetic quite well and is further amplified by a gorgeous art style that adds to the experience and immersion on offer in the game.
Now, while the open world looks gorgeous that does come at a catch, the world feels empty and somewhat barren in a lot of areas and no I'm not talking about the suburban areas and areas found in the desert region of the map, I'm talking about areas that normally should be crowded and not just during the day but also at night, areas such as the City Center for instance which should be teeming with life, but it isn't.
Gameplay is great but areas such as driving, fighting and gunplay look like they need a lot of work and I mean a LOT of work. Gunplay looks barebones with guns barely having any kick to them and giving that feeling that you're shooting nerf guns and not actual weapons since they lack the "oomph" you would get even in guns found in "ancient" games like 2010's Cod: Black Ops which wasn't realistic by any sense of the imagination but the gunplay felt satisfying and each gun felt unique in its own way. You won't get that with cyberpunk. In terms of fighting I'll make it short, melee fighting is very basic, punching enemies makes you feel like you're punching a mannequin since all you get is a basic reaction or lack thereof from the enemy you hit and ragdoll physics are completely absent. Finally driving, I'll just say driving feels like Watch Dogs and don't get me started on that game and how unresponsive its driving was. Each vehicle, regardless if it was a basic car, a motorcycle or an expensive luxury vehicle lacked any unique characteristics when it comes to responsiveness and overall sense of speed. Using a very simple description, "It's like driving a boat, not a car". With regards to combat however, the various ways you can hack one or multiple enemies at once and make them do all sorts of things like shoot themselves or jam their guns makes combat a lot more enjoyable.
The wide variety of cybernetic augmentations and character customisation add immense replay value to the game and the various dialog trees which can make a certain conversation turn in one way or another makes conversations more enjoyable even though they feel useless in some situations. There's a wide assortment of skills, aptly called perks to specialise in making your character feel unique and suitable to your preferred playstyle some of them felt completely useless though and even though I chose some of them, there are certain perks that didn't really do anything for me.
All in all, Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game but it's certainly not the revolutionary rpg CDPR hyped it up to be. It's got it's ups, but at the same time it's got its downs(both mild and severe) however that didn't stop from being enjoyable.

This game is wonderful. gameplay is fun, characters are interesting, plot is interesting (for what i've seen so far), and world is nice and open. Those alone should be enough to make a game worth it, right? Normally, yes, but in this game's case, not quite. There is quite a bit weighing it down at launch.

There are countless bugs in this game. The majority of which being either graphical or auditory. There are a couple that i've heard of that are quest/dialogue base that can be game breaking. This was an issue with The withcher 3 also (CD Project Red's last game), and most of, if not all of, the bugs were eventually patched out. I assume the same will happen with this game.

Bugs aren't my only issue with this game, though. I am also having a little bit of trouble justifying the seeming lack of side content in this game. From what i've experienced in my (so far only) 16 hours of gameplay, there are very little side quests, and an even smaller amount of character interactions. For side quests, or "gigs" as the game calls them, most of the time you just wait until a quest giver, or "fixer", calls you and gives you one. These are usually rescue missions, or "go kill x" missions, which is fine. The other type of side quest (which name is escaping me) are a little longer but still not super content filled. I have one that is to go fight in some fist fights around night city, and another which is to go find some cars that were blacked out of their grid with their company, and are lost. That's about the extent of side quests I've experienced so far.

Character interactions are even worse. There is VERY little talking outside of quests. You can "talk" to pedestrians, but this is just them saying one line as they continue walking. You don't get dialogue options with them. I was hoping for something a little more RDR2 like, but whatever. Apart from that, you can also talk minimally to shopkeeps. You can't really even talk to your friends outside of quests.

Night city, while huge, has a surprisingly low amount of interesting places or objects. To paraphrase a review I read about the world, "You will see the same line of books, or the same whiteboard with the same notes on it in many buildings across the city." This breaks the immersion, which is a big no no in gaming. Sure, reusing assets is fine, but not to this extent.

While I haven't done too much exploring myself, one of my friends who spent hours exploring has found just about nothing interesting to see. No secret places or items. No "secret" interesting characters or anything. Nothing, leaving one with no reason to explore, other than hopefully getting a gig to do.

There is also a whole mechanic I haven't touched at all, because I don't see the need to. Crafting seems practically useless in this game, and the closest I get to doing that is dismantling stuff when I become over encumbered. This gives you materials to craft with, which I just haven't done.

I can't quite pin down why, but I just can't get SUPER invested into this game like I expected I would. I play for a few hours, and then get bored of the samey gameplay. The fact that the gameplay is fun doesn't stop it from feeling samey after a while. And with a lack of character interaction and meaningful sidequests, this is hard to keep me interested in playing the game for long streaks of time.

This has been a fairly negative review so far, so let me highlight some of the things I do really like about this game. First off, I'm a huge sucker for western RPGs. Bethesda games, CD Project games, etc all scratch an itch I get for gaming. I nearly hate level based games anymore. While I railed on Night city in the last paragraph, I do still love it. It's beautiful. I am also a sucker for cyberpunk worldbuilding though, so I may be a little biased. Another bias I have is the tech aspect you get within a cyberpunk world. V (the player character) is equipped with an ocular scanner which can also hack into people and objects to do different things.

When You do talk to characters, They are all interesting and individuals (other than the pedestrians). You get the sense that they all have their own desires and goals. They feel like people! The main characters of V and are very interesting and cool.

The story, for what I've gotten to so far, is very interesting and engaging. I am not going to go too much more into it, though.

Those are all the thoughts I can come up with for cyberpunk 2077 so far. The game is fun, interesting, beautiful, but ridden with problems. Will some, if not all, of the problems be fixed with patches and possible DLC? yes. Does that make the game feel worth full price right now? Not quite.

    1. vehicles are almost un-drivable with mouse and keyboard (especially motorcycles). The vehicle handling was tuned with analog input in mind. Using the keyboard will have you tapping keys quickly to do micro adjustments. Anything else will send you spinning out of control.

    2. A LOT of content was cut from this game. Just to name a few things: wall running, crowds, one night stands. There is a massive reddit thread with a more comprehensive list.

    3. Your origin choice effects the first 20 min of the game and some dialogue choices. Very disappointing.

Honestly, if they fixed the horrible vehicle handling with keyboards id bring my review up to an 8. Hopefully they add back a lot of the cut content in DLCs/patches. That would bump my review up to an 8.5-9.5

But for now, what we have is a 7.0 Nothing fantastic, but its not nearly as bad as everyone is saying (at least not on PC).

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
