    Open world felt a bit overpopulated to begin with and the story seemed a bit static and one dimensional. Then, all the side story stuff, the taxi's, the detective and heaps more. They are all fantastic and weave a bit into the main story, which I think is extremely immersive. This is only having played about 30 hours, but really loving it now.     Good graphics but average gameplay. Most missions involve going to a location and killing everyone. The game doesn't feel like much of an evolution from the original Deus Ex. The main storyline is this games main redeeming feature with some creative scenes, but these are the except when the rest of the game is filler rather than killer.

    I had to change my review after playing it more. Missing freatures, missing RPG elements, missing options to do in the city, missing metro/train, and a big missed oportunity overall. Apart from the great graphics and gunfights, this game is just a bang avarage. And because of the lies and rushed development I just can't give more than 4 for this.

    CDPR... what a disappointment... :((

    Game is unfortunately broken and should have never been approved by Sony/Microsoft. It randomly crashes at least 1x per hour, often 2-3x. Glitches everywhere, poor gunplay, poor driving, cliché story, weird/stupid loot (guitar picks, **** vinyls all on the ground, etc.). This game needed at least one more year in the oven or, even better, to be downscaled immensely because it feels like aGame is unfortunately broken and should have never been approved by Sony/Microsoft.     I couldn't find a single positive thing with this game, lots of negatives though:

    * As I said I don't like cyberpunk aesthetics to be any appealing, so the graphics will look ugly for me no matter the tech used.
    * The interface is seriously overburdened. Too much info, I can't even get message I am reading. Just too much info on the screen.
    * Everything is too flashy. This makes already subpar design even worse.
    * City design. Blocks-blocks-blocks. Everything is too tight so there's no real open world. It is technically but it is wasted by the design team.
    * Cars are utter crap. I like driving and the good driving is challenging one, in a predictable way, which means driving should be close to the reality. The driving here is a big time **** And, of course, the map itself is not really suitable for it, I see no place where I would like to ride in.
    * FPS mechanics for shooting without the most satisfactory mechanic of it: headshots. Just no fun shooting here. Then why so much shooting if they can't make it right?
    * And, I didn't expect this after their Witchers: the story. I start playing for some piece of flesh with gadgets I give a flying heck about. A bland game partner, Jackie, I couldn't care less too. Useless piece of trash I can't even rely on in numerous ****ty fights. Then need to save some robot girl for some unknown reason. The story is off. I mean OFF. It is totally clueless. No idea what is happening here, what are motives and what are purposes.
    * No sense of immersion I had with both Witcher 2 and 3.

    I tried to get it so can't refund the game (more than 15 minutes). But the lesson is learned: will not buy DLCs.

    PS It is the shame they wasted their time on such a poorly thought out thing instead of adding DLCs and small missions in Witcher 3.

    Bug and bugs and bugs. Story is mediocre at best and the characters are forgettable. They tried really hard to make everyone so extreme that they had the personality of a mountain dew commercial. The UI for the menus are absolute trash and the customization options go hard on things that you don't really care about.     Unplayable! Too many bugs. If you have a console don‘t buy it.
    It’s just fraud. They didn‘t gave out consoleversions to the reviewers to hide their fraud and stated afterwards that they didn‘t knew that it was that bad wich is clearly a lie. F*** you for that CD PROJECT RED.

    bad optimization,bugs and that driving.geting max 60-65 fps with rtx2080.fps is around 30-45 while driving at crowded places.
    here is funny thing my gpu usage at 2k ultra settings is around %97 while gettting 60 fps same settings with 1080p gpu usage goes down 50s and boom fps is same

    - every, and I mean every, vendor ist just an inventory vendor. Want to buy from a street market? Here's my inventory. Want to buy guns? Inventory. Sex Shop? You guessed it, inventory.
    - you shoot someone on the street, instantly 5 cops spawn near you and start shooting. You drive around the block and do nothing - police won't chase you and no one gives a ****
    - If you stand 1 or 2 seconds around a cop, they start shooting without warning
    - no parking spaces anywhere. I mean it's a city of the future, parking is supposed to be limited but not nonexistent.
    - NPCs don't do anything except walk around. They're not on phones, they don't talk to each other, they don't get in or out of cars, they don't sit on benches - NOTHING
    - want to talk to an NPC? Good look because you cant. Try to speak with one they will tell you to **** off with one sentence.
    - want to buy cars or vehicles? Can only do that through missions
    - want to customize your vehicle? Can't do that at all
    - want to customize your outfit? Can't do that. You walk around like a clown because you just choose the clothes with the best stats
    - want to change your hair or get a tattoo? Can't do that after the initial character customization
    - want big or small boobs? Guess what, the games does not care. Clothes automatically switch to the middle ones. What's the point of even having this in the game?
    - you're in a city, or are you? The streets are completely devoid of vehicles and there are practically no NPCs walking around in this "city". No cop cars, no ambulances, no public transport except for the train you see once in a while overhead (which you can't use obviously)
    - can't shoot outside of a car or motorcycle except for cutscenes
    - try to shoot someone of a motorcycle in a cutscene - you can't! Everything is scripted. You don't even have to do anything in the chasing cutscenes, they just play out..

    These flaws completely destroy the gameplay experience. Of course there are bugs in such a game but this is unacceptable. The stakeholders just wanted the covid19-christmas money from 2020.

    I cannot recommend the game in this current state. I will uninstall it and give it another go in about a year or so. I've played around 25 hours currently but I just lost all interest in the game.    … Expand

    This is a game which has empty world, full of bugs and glicts. If you want to buy it you have to used to be FPS drops with ordinary game... Do not buy it!

    The game has an intersing story, voice acting is really good, soundtracks are phenomenal and the futuristic world being shown to us is breathaking. :)

    I cant even surely understand the situation but the developers of this game is surely kinda **** i mean i can understand banning the ability to buy the game but banning the ability to play the game i paid for is idea for some real fools its seems like an idea of thieves when your buying sth and they just take it back without giving your money back

    Such an awful game. because of the bugs, it looks like a Ubisoft game. They made such a strong advertisement and used Keanu but the graphics are awful, the game is very buggy, the city is not alive, AI is very stupid, the game is very boring. Shame, Lame, and Loser CDPRS. This game won't be 2021 GOTY. It's still crashing on PS5 after the latest update.

    World is dead with nothing to do. Police System was done better in GTA 3 on the PS2. Bugs everywhere. All you do in this game is drive from point A to B doing missions. May as well removed the point A to B driving so I don't have to waste my damn time.

    I'ts a God sent action RPG on PC, & I'm pretty sure the game is getting better with every patches on consoles too. That's all in nutshell. For PC Gamers anyway worth to look around for some cool mod contents on the Nexus site, just saying.;)

    Even though the game world seems to be amazing and its main story immersive this game is unplayable beyond compare because of its bugs and poor optimalization. There are no words that can describe the irritation that this game gives you when you play it. It's funny that so many aspects of ir are not finished and mamy of them are worst than in games from around 5-l (or even 10) years ago.

Amazing story and visuals, but suffers from a plethora of bugs, performance issues and not to mention many missing features (customizable characters, cars, immersive rpg, police system, etc) that were supposedly advertised in the lead up to launch.     They lied over and over again throughout the entire trailer videos. majority of the content was cut out which leaves a feeling as if the game is in it's alpha stage. Reading the details about the game makes you realize its none of the things it tries to sell it as. Story is only mediocre none of your choices matter, your lifepath don't matter.

    FALLOUT 76 was better at launch than this mess. Glitches and texture bugs make it unplayable. Hopefully they can fix it, but because of the enormous hype they would have to pull a No man sky style solution hastily.

    To my mind this is the most immersive, next gen game I've played to date. Yes, there are bugs and release pains but those are being patched. The gameplay is phenomenal, so many ways to customize your toon, the enemies play smart giving each encounter a rewarding challenge. Can't recommend it enough.

    Great graphics but terrible gameplay. First major mission and I could not get past it because I kept getting killed. Set it to easy with aim assist and no change in result. Why even have snapping if it does absolutely nothing. I wasted money on this.

    In CP it's 2-5 minutes tops, depending on how much you loot containers. It's the most lazy and rushed intro in AAA games I've seen in my life.

    AI performs either at bare minimum, or straight up broken. Pedestrians, enemies, drivers, cops - not a single instance works well, there is always some issue with it no matter what you do.
    The game is full of items with pickup icons you cannot pick up, T-posing npcs, flying phones which the game forgot to despawn once npcs stopped using them. I'm not going to mention all bugs, because it will take thousands and thousands of words. All and all, it's an early access for full price.

    Romances are mediocre as well. Very few options, and most of them are boring. An average Bioware game has more romances of better quality. Yes, EVEN DA3, despite being a generally bad game.

    Performance is meh at best. People with 3080 report about 20 fps, while 1080 owners report about 60 fps. In other words, it's a russian roulette.    … Expand

Playing on normal I've also found AI to be exceedingly stupid, 80% of the time the AI will just try to bum rush me leading to their swift, imminent death. When the AI isn't doing this they are completely ignoring me to shoot at other AI even when I am standing right next to them shooting them. PC controls are also garbage as there are a lot of keys you flat out cannot bind. A lot of gameplay mechanics tend to also be an awkward mix of RPG and FPS elements mashed together, for example the "armour" you wear also helps with your "street cred", however inexplicably you can pick up items that look like a 70 year olds cardigan and somehow that will give you more street cred than the cool leather biker jacket you have on. This mechanic simply is not needed, nor is it welcome due to the broken nature of it especially with so many other ways you can improve street cred. Graphically the game is a real letdown as well it is painfully obvious this game has been made to run on 7+ year old console hardware. If you upgraded your GPU special for this game you wasted your money it'll run nicely on an overclocked RX580/590 with optimised memory timings. In my case that means £370 needlessly down the drain in total as I went and spent £320 on a 5700XT expecting this game to at least try and push some sort of boundary... it does not.

    TLDR; Wait for the proper next gen version of the game as this version should have been aborted before birth.    … Expand

    The acting is shockingly poor. None of the characters are interesting. The world building is juvenile. The art style is ugly and uninspired. The animations are stiff and underbaked. The UI is ugly and confusing. The audio design, well, it's non-existent; often times the dialogue is drowned out by the music or other sound effects, and when there's no dialogue it's eerily silent and lifeless. I could go on and on with how bad this game is. I honestly can't think of anything good to say about it. It's painfully mediocre.

    But why only a 6?
    -The gunplay feels old and bullet spongy, it’s basically a tuned down borderlands. To kill enemies without the right upgrades, you literally have to shoot their heads like 10 times and throw 3 grenades at them. Luckily the AI is so bad it’s very easy to do.
    - Some large areas of the map are crazy barren. There’s no cars, no people, despite their being considerable infrastructure. Clearly just sets for missions to be ran on.
    -the missions are scripted very heavily. The dialogue options mostly go 1 direction despite you wanting to try another. There are instances where your HP loss is a fixed value, and the enemies very obviously have the same outcome regardless of how much you shoot them.
    -There’s not much to do in the city aside from shoot angry dudes. There’s basically only spots with enemies that are hanging around, no other forms of interaction. -No flying vehicles, and the ground based vehicles you have drive like **** The cars don’t feel like they have any future tech associated with them, and the motorcycle physics are a joke. If you drive a big truck, the camera sits behind it and you can’t see. You can’t even shoot out tires on cars. Hijacking requires you to have a certain skill level to have the strength to take it from someone; even if they’re dead and the window is shot open.
    -there has yet to be a single substantial NPC or interaction I have found outside of the games missions/story arc. Where the hell is all the substance in this world beyond the cyberpunk looks? Hot dog vendors literally just tell you “The **** you want?” And then proceed to run out of generic dialogue options. People in the club are just like, “Uhhh, can I help you?”

Seriously, in a game that advertised adversity and extravagant futuristic styles, you expect an option to change appearance. There is absolutely no point as to why we can't change looks. Changing looks wasn't a technical difficulty, but rather a stupid omission by CDPR.

    No Character Freedom, Background or Story:
    Your background has zero effect on... pretty much everything. The only thing that changes is the first few minutes of the Introduction and a few dialogue options that lead to the same outcome anyway. So, you wanted to make a Nomad and reach Night City. Be someone from the "outside," with no connections, who is trying to make his luck in this megalopolis? It doesn't matter. As soon as you finish the Intro, you instantly become best buddies with Jackie Welles and every sneaky "fixer" in the city suddenly trusts you with very sensitive missions. You are given a nice apartment, a car, a unique gun and money. There is absolutely no RPG element in this kind of scenario. No matter who you choose to be, a cutscene commences that bypasses all RPG elements (building trust with other characters) and throws you in a linear story path. After the Intro, whether you chose to be Corpo or a Streetkid, you are exactly the same. You wake up in the same apartment and proceed to the rest of the game the same.

    Beautiful yet Soulless World:
    Night City is amazing visually. Flashing screens with crazy ads, flying drones, futuristic cars, amazing interiors, extravagant people walking its streets. The basis is there. Unfortunately, that's all there is to it. Nice to the eye. The NPCs can't be interacted with. They also don't interact with their environment. Just slashed someone with a Katana? Well, the sushi seller next to him keeps selling Sushi, and the beggar casually repeats the same "begging for money" dialogue.

    No Immersion!!
    Which leads to the game having little to no immersion. No matter what you do, nothing responds to you. There is no feedback from the environment. You park your car on the sidewalk, and because you slightly touch the road, cars pause and form a gigantic line behind you. Nobody attempts to bypass you. They just stay there like soulless dolls. They stand in the middle of a gun fight, they don't run, they don't take cover. NPCs have nothing to say or do.

    - Food Stalls and other shops are just passive inventory vendors. Bars, Clubs and Restaurants are obsolete since they only have an inventory NPC-Bartender to transfer items. There is no interacting, no sitting, no drinking, no eating, no relaxing and taking in the environment at a bench.

    There are NO animations of drinking, eating, going to a ripperdoc. EVERYTHING is just "Transfer" UI. There's no CRAFTING bench. You just craft things with 1-click. Where is the immersion in this?

    - In such a dark themed world where plastic boob ads and half-naked people are everywhere, there is absolutely nobody to hook up with. Just 2 Joytoys that instantly transfer you into a 10 seconds clip of you having sex with them. It feels like they are there just to say that you can "have sex" in the trailers.

    - Drug dealers sell literal candies, sodas and fruits. Where is smoking? Where is snorting crazy expensive drugs? (with animations)!

    -There's no vehicle customization or dealerships. Seriously? Where is the futuristic tuning? In depth car modification?

    - No apartment choice. There's also no customization in your apartment at all. On their trailers they showed a clip where you actually get to choose a rich villa if you want to live the high life. Lies.

    - No gang reputation, nochoosing a gang and killing for them, no affiliations with dangerous people. No karma system. No appropriate to your choices reactions by people.

    - No sense of fear walking in the City. You can punch a muscle-bound freak NPC and they run like scared chickens. Or cybercrouch and cower indefinitely.

    - No minigames! Is it so hard to play some slots? Game machines are EVERYWHERE. Is it so hard to play some Poker in a small room behind a bar? Where are darts or a pool table. These minigames could add hundreds of hours of gameplay.

    - Driving is on "rails"
    - Taking the camera away and looking back, it spawns different NPCs.
    - Police system doesn't exist
    - Stealth doesn't work

    This lack of interactiveness ultimately makes the world feel hollow. It feels dead. It feels unfinished. It feels like a linear action shooter. Like Call of Duty in the future.    … Expand

    im on a ps4 pro with my cyberpunk 2077. but i really want people to see honest reviews and experiences with this game so im posting it on both ps4 and pc.

    this game does nothing new at all. wheres all promised features and genre changing stuff they talked about and held the game back in development for 8 years for?     This game is a huge buggy mess. textures don't load i can see through the world. it feels like this game has huge memory leak issue. if you move around or drive around, its no wonder they took out flying cars for players. the world doesn't load in and often you can stand around having done nothing and objects will be floating, npcs will pop in out of no where.

    the ground wont even be there. smh. so done with the gaming industry and all the **** instead of spending all that money on keanu reeves and music bands, i like keanu but the music is garbage, a simple (fallout 3/4 style) talk radio station that plays a few tracks of music that had cyber tronica or edm would have been clever and a lot better.

    the storys ok but the bugs are just kicking my ass. im at the point and barley into act 2 where i just don't even wanna play.

    soon as i get into the game it crashes or spaz's out or something happens not due to even playing the game that just is hugly off putting.

    give it a year maybe they'll fix some bugs and it'll be playable. this just flat out reminds me of fallout 76's **** all over again, a trend that is getting way to common place in the gaming industry. releasing trash and telling me its truffle laden gold.    … Expand

    I saw how badly the game did in the PS4 / Xbox One but I read that those issues are not present on the PC and I have a fairly expensive gaming PC so I decided to buy it... but I was upset to find that those issues are present on PC as well. I spent about 2 hours with the game, and I was met by a large number of graphical and technical issues including the mouse on the character creation screen teleporting all over the place, the customization options getting stuck upon selecting the randomize option a few times - requiring a restart, and the environment in the opening section bugging out causing all the trees shrubbery in the surrounding area to be drawn in-front of the walls around me covering my screen in trees. It's not much of an experience when you can't even see the NPC's in front of you. How people are giving this game decent ratings is beyond me, I haven't seen a game released this broken in a long long time.… Expand

    This is terrible. A lot of little things that spoil the whole impression. On the PC, there is no walking, absolute scripting, TMC hands reach the floor, if you look down and beat your fists, the corpse on the table is one texture, damn it, they were too lazy to make a separete model. This is what I noticed for the 1st hour of the game, so it only gets worse

Чаще всего ты не видишь куда стеляешь, а если видишь то обоймы в голову не хватает чтоб убить противника. Я не хочу в это играть. Единсвенное, что тащит это сюжет. Вот и пытаешься прорватся сквозь глюки и посредсвенный геймплей, чтобы узнатьНа данный момент это практически неиграбельное говно.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It is a very disappointing and remains an ultimately flawed game. It is erratic, has what I think is a poor and largely pointless story line in which, the protagonist is basically a dead man. It offers a totally meaningless experience in which basically, everything you do, all the people you meet, the jobs, the good or the bad you choose etc is totally pointless because regardless, you are going to die either at the end or shortly after the end. The story breaks the game almost form the start point and it's quite obvious where the writers were going to take this story regardless of their other options because like most writers these days, they think that this concept of meaningless and futility is what they want to produce and establish in people and societies mind. It is weak writing, poor in its entire concept and does the opposite of why people play games. On top of this the game is still full of bugs, pit falls and a significant level of barren boring dialogue and minor stories.

    CDPR get some things right like the multiple avenues to complete most things. Do I punch my way, sneak my way, talk my way of think my way through? They all work. Levelling up seems slow and I'm never really sure how it happens when it does but it's an interesting progression tree.

    Weapons are, apart from a few exceptions very vanilla and samey. Death happens far too easily. Choices are actually quite linear which is the opposite of what was supposed to happen... There are lots of things to pick on (and this is after years worth of improvement).

    The biggest and most painful failures though are the fact that CDPR clearly WANT the world to be like this. They have publicly said that cybernetics and human machine interface is the way to go and they clearly have a love fest over their own Cyberpunk ideas that they are advertising the ideas and ideals of such an environment. I find this terrifying and sadly I think it is part of a mass advertising spree to adapt people to accept such a progression away from humanity. Maybe I'm wrong but just like the GLBTI stuff that was light about 10-20 years ago and now infects everything from Health and Safety to western attitudes to politics with other powers and even of abusive control of other, weaker nations. I have a hunch CDPR have become tangled up in something much bigger than games and interesting stories. This is harmful to society in general but also destroys the gaming industry.    … Expand

    8 лет они вешали лапшу на уши людям, несколько переносов для "полировки" игры, а на выходе мы получаем не оптимизированный, забагованный продукт, с графикой хуже чем в играх 17-18 годов.

    Uno de los juegos más bugeados y rotos de la generación. Una vergüenza cobrar por un producto así. Lo que les hicieron sobre todo a la gente que tiene PS4 y Xbox One no tiene nombre. Espero que solucionen todos los errores del juego lo antes posible.

    Es extraño como la gente regala su dinero comprando un juego que saben bien fue y es una estafa y burla hacia el comprador. Parches, diez mil...no se supone que uno compre una versión Alpha como juego AAA terminado, no es un indie. Con esta actitud permisiva y light seguirán haciendo cada vez peores juegos, total los idiotas igual los compran.

    Storytelling so bad. I don't believe, that they create Witcher 3... I disappointed. Technical part awful. So many bugs. This is alpha version, not complete game.

    Однокнопочная консольная фигня. На карте даже пунктиром отображают путь, куда идти. Думать вообще не надо. Разработчики прям ведут тебя за руку, играть можно нажимая на одну кнопку. Перестрелки примитивные, лучше в любой шутер поиграть, даже от Юбисофт. РПГ слабое, даже Масс Эффект намного лучшее РПГ, не говоря уже о реальных РПГ.     Now here goes for the game review. To give more context when I'll complain about the smoothness of the game: I have a high end gaming PC with a 3080 and i9 9900k and finished the playthrough.

    The gameplay is clunky, not smooth at all. Using melee in this game is so hard due to the weird motion blur and the movements being gawky. Fist fighting is unfun as the NPCs basically teleports themselves when they swing a punch.

    Bugs, bugs and bugs. The game is so buggy, it feels like it's in alpha stage. The AI is also very "stupid".

    The story falls very flat, the main story isn't too bad, the side quests feels useless and without context, unlike in Witcher 3 where the side quests we're basically other stories of their own.

    Anyways, I could keep going but this is basically it. The game is awful, I'm giving a 1 just because the game is really beautiful. Can't deny that.    … Expand

    A buggy mess that was released 6-12 months too early. Such a shame. They released it early for the money and burned our good will at the same time.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
