    Cuphead is a different projection from classic run and shot games. Cuphead gives you a different experience and a lot of fun like other run and shot classic games. Cuphead is about 20 Hours in length. Amazing Visuality and soundtrack, story base on boss, perfect mechanics are pros. Some boss fights’ difficult and different imagining are cons.

    I know this game being the dark souls of platformers is a meme now but as someone who has 100% beaten every dark souls game ever I think this is harder. Even if it is hard its really really fun and only 20 bucks yes please!

    Cuphead is a marvel of a game. The gameplay is super fine tuned and snappy and feels great to control, the weapons are fun to mix up and all have their pros and cons, most a fun to use. Especially the charge shot, super powerful. The artstyle is really nice and expressive and pleasing to look at, all bosses and characters are so lively and filled with emotion. The charms are nice to mix up gameplay and give some power ups, but sadly you won't get to experience much of them without making the game a lot harder, you almost need the smokebomb equipped always. While the difficulty is grueling, it's seldom unfair. I was determined to beat every boss no matter how many times they strike me down. The run and gun levels are pretty mediocre though and can be frustrating to get through, especially to ocean one in Isle 3. The game has barely any bad things to say, the end of the game sort of falls short, less epic and tedious with king dice and the devil Is a mediocre boss. I also dislike some off the random factors in bosses, like attacks that line up to be almost impossible, rng attacks that are the only thing that feel unfair. This game is a masterpiece with barely any shortcomings and is practically perfect. I never had a huge problem with the difficulty but others may. The two player mode is loafs of fun too, but breaks some bosses. The doubling health on fights like the devil makes you see the same attacks even more and drags them out, while not quite as tight in two player, an absolute blast. I highly recommend this game to more experienced players and is a must play.… Expand

The fact that every boss battle in this game features literally hundreds of frames of animation is just seriously impressive. The game play is also of course very fun but it sometimes feels like some things are added to fights with only the intent to make the fight harder not more fun. Some examples of this are the auto scroll in some fights like Grim matchstick and that stupid bee. There is also a fight in the dlc that literally flips the screen disorienting your view. None of these things are fun to deal with but they are otherwise small road bumps in this overall pretty great game.… Expand

    This game looks incredible, everything is so detailed and polished but it wasn't as big of a positive to me as the majority of people who played Cuphead. The main thing to me is the gameplay and it's honestly pretty fun. I've beaten all the bosses on Regular, then stopped playing because I didn't want to break my keyboard. It takes wonderful, challenging boss fights and puts them through a makeover, with its 1930's Rubberhose art style. The games difficulty really only makes it fun for people who are decent at them but its tons of fun.     Cuphead is a great game to play with a friend and rage at. Beating bosses are also satisfying that it makes the gruelling pain of dying over and over and over again worth it. The animation is also very detailed and it also distracts me from the game and makes me die a lot. Everything in the dlc was good (except high noon hoopla). Some gripes with the game are that the airplane levels seem more like torture devices because they sometimes feel like overwhelming bullet hell. The run and gun levels also seem kinda forced in, and I feel that 6 more bosses would be better that the run and guns. Other than that, Im glad that this game got a show, and they did an amazing job for an indie game. Im exited to see what this studio pumps out next.… Expand

And 2 do you like run and gun type games. If both of those answers are yes you will most likely enjoy this game. The bosses themselves are mostly a hit with the exception of some like varaness von bon bon and honeybottom.Overall I would recommend this game. Which are mostly tideos. The shots themselves all have their uses and functions though some are just objectively better than others. A shot like lobber and peashooter can’t compete with charge or roundabout the two best shots in the game. The addition of run and gun levels were also a weird decision. A more focused game that focused solely on 1v1 boss battles is better than adding additional content especially when it feels like the developers are out of their depth in these levels. But yeah other than that the gameplay is very fun. Good bosses. Fun gameplay, beautiful animations. Edit: the DLC is worth it easily 9/10 even though it is abit short. But better to be left hungry for more than wanting it to end after all that is what a good Desert does. (I wanted to review the game as a whole and not the dlc as a separate game).… Expand

This game is very fun, this game is about 2 brothers who gamble at a casino and end up getting stuck in a gambling dept by the devil, you can choose either Cuphead or mugman, you can also play as Ms Challice if you purchase the DLC, it’s a run and gun platformer that focuses more on the gameplay than the story which explains why the story is pretty simple, this game is extremely difficult but that makes it even better, the game is fair because every time you die it’s completely your fault, and the satisfaction you get when completing a boss is indescribable, this game is available on Steam, Mac, Xbox, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, And Teslas… Expand

    Basically, its gorgeously animated, and fun but very limited, levels require applied memorization more than improvisation or reflexes. I really wanted to give it a ten based on the overwhelmingly beautiful visuals. Music and graphics are absolutely top notch.

    Insanely neat and unique art style and gameplay for this 2D side scroller. it is something I can go back to when I want a hard game to play but don't feel like I want to poke my eyes out (*cough cough dark souls). Would 100% recommend to anyone who's up for a challenge but be aware this game is brutally difficult so play at your own risk.

Combine that with the music also reflects what was most commonly seen in cartoons in the 1930's, it perfectly captures all of the aesthetics and presentation. I do not have a single complaint about the presentation, its truly something you have to see and experience, I can't think of anything else like it.

    The gameplay is also amazing. The gameplay really calls back to the platformers from the SNES era - this includes the challenge and frustration as well. It has a balance between run and gun levels and boss battle levels. What I think this game does the best is capturing the spirit of memorization that was required for the SNES era. You could not beat many platformers from that era without trial and error, and then blend that into memorization. This game is brutal and punishing of any mistakes. The more your try a level, the more you will fail, you will probably become a bit frustrated, but you don't realize how each attempt you get one step closer to completing the level. While this was common in games from the early 90's, this is something that people who are not used to the challenge may struggle with. I highly recommend this to everyone and encourage everyone to push through the frustration, because that is how we got satisfaction from gaming as a kid. You would get stuck on a level for days, sometimes weeks, but when you beat the level, the amount of satisfaction and sense of achievement that you feel is something that cannot be replicated.

    Such a strange blend of perfect graphics and sound design from nearly 100 years ago while making a huge callback to gaming from 30 years ago. Amazing game.    … Expand

    Cuphead is a quite fantastic game, primarily due to it's insane visuals. While not for everybody, due to it's trial and error gameplay, it is a very fun time for those who players who are up for it. I recommend.

    This is a really good game and the art style and hand drawn art is really good. The gameplay is really hard but thats kinda the point of the game i think. The delicious last course DLC is very pay to win but has enough content and is balanced enough that i can say its good. My overall opinion of this game is that its really good but way to hard.

    With that said there are a couple bad things to be said to, mainly the difficulty. The difficulty itself is fine, a challenge is always accepted but the problem I had was with the order of difficulty because I found a lot of early bosses to be hard while some later ones easy, (example: Calla Maria, easy late game boss, while dragon, is very hard to beat on a first playthrough but is only in world 2).
    With that said though I think that even when a boss is difficult then I find it fun to check which tools/weapons could fit the best, its like a small little puzzle of finding which weapon would work the best, and with that said I think the best part of the game is the creating custom loadouts for each boss.     Cuphead is an amazing game. It shines on the 1930's art-style.

    It is a classic bullet hell game that is insanely difficult with trial and error as a lesson.

    The game has amazing backgrounds, outstanding art, and great music!

    This game is a must buy!

    I adore this game. Everything within it has exceptional attention to detail, while the music and art style are second to none. You can really tell this game was made with deep passion and care when paying attention to the jaw dropping animation and media references.     While the game is notorious for being hard (and it is), I don’t think the game is in anyway unbalanced. You don’t lose much progress if you die in a boss and there are different difficulties to suit different skill levels. After getting all achievements in Cuphead, I can say there were very few instances where I found the gameplay boring.

I actually like it quite a bit, I may suck at the game but I think it does it's job well of giving players a sense of achievement while also giving probably the tightest run and gun game I've ever played. This game is just such a breath of fresh air for not only run and gun games but indie games in general as it really values its cartoon style however it maintains 60Cuphead... is good. I've only played the game through once and that was with a friend so I can't really talk that much about the single player difficulty but can say it is not easy no matter which version you decide to play. For example, I went to the frogs boss battle in both single player and CO-OP but the amount of time to beat it was more or less the same no matter what version I played. When I did eventually get to the final boss with said friend, we both felt this massive sense of accomplishment and we still remain proud we finished it. I did have plans on playing through the game again but seeing how some bosses almost me and my friend go insane trying to beat and the game being a bit more difficult on my own, that single player run will probably never happen. However I will say this, I never felt cheated during a particular boss. Everything felt fair and balanced (maybe it's cause I've been cranking up my difficulty settings in games but overall, I think it does it's job). I really loved Cuphead and seeing how the Delicious Last Course (Cuphead DLC) came out not too long ago, I was blown away by how much this game nails what it sets out to do. I even beat it with that same friend not too long ago and we both fell in love with it. An already good game with a little cherry on top to truly make it worth buying and playing. If you need something different from whatever games you've been playing right now, try Cuphead out and see if you like it. I can understand the difficulty being a turn-off for most players but I truly think it's worth it regardless of how much you fail because that eventual victory will feel so good that you feel ready for anything. And if you want, play it with a friend to make the experience more enjoyable and fun (just don't be annoying, revive your friends if they die please). Anyways, thanks for reading. Peace out.… Expand

    Cuphead more like Shmuckhead. I played the tutorial and suffice to say, I was NOT impressed. The graphics look like they’re from Darwin’s time period. I thought it couldn’t get any worse, but then I got to the first boss. This blue looking thing was literally impossible to beat, the fact that it can hit me when I’m in the corner is just unfair game design. When I made it 20%, I was lookingCuphead more like Shmuckhead.     An amazing throwback to the 30s with a great-looking art style like it was in the 30s, with challenging bosses and requiring great reaction and timing to complete. U do have to do some trial and error to beat the bosses. And if ur up for that like I am get this game

    This is one of my favorite games of all time, the main selling point is the art style, but everything about this game is great, the bosses, run n guns, the npc's, every little detail is great, the story FEELS like something out of a 1930's cartoon, and the dev's perfects everything you could ask for, And their story of how the developed the game is crazy.

You can clearly tell what an enemy is planning to do based off of their beautiful animations. They are clearly telegraphed and displayed, usually with an audio cue as well. The attacks are simple, so whenever you die it feels like your fault, not the game's. The game throws an assortment of weapons, charms and supers to deal with bosses. And sometimes all you need to do is mix and match to shred a difficult boss to pieces.

    Secondly, the graphics. This is why most people will buy the game. The beautiful 60fps hand drawn animations just pops out instead of some boring real ones. It just is breathtaking and the 50's style is just amazing. It's fluid, bouncy and just charming. No boss feels similar to another, thanks to some huge surprises in later phases.

    Thirdly, the music. This is, singlehandedly, the best soundtrack in all of gaming. Every single track deserves to be listened to and enjoyed. It's grand, it's jazzy, it's bombastic and it's amazing. Karnival Keffule, I love you.

    Lastly, the open world. The design is just wonderful with things you can interact with just popping out of the screen by bouncing and moving. Npc's are funny and usually help you to beat a boss, find something in the world or give you quests to get coins. Also, a death counter is genius.

    Overall, a 10/10 masterpiece. If anything I wrote about appeals to anyone, then try the game. It's often on sale for about 10 euro.    … Expand

    There seems like there are a lot of times in the game where you cant really dodge getting hit or your character randomly doesn't shoot when entering a new phase which can be really frustrating.     The game's hand drawn animation is beautiful and the world is charming. Little details such as the menu saying the game was made in 1931 really elevate the overall experience. The bosses are all filled with so much life and the game strikes the prefect balance between difficult and insanity.

With so many positives it seems strange to give Cuphead such a low score, but the game does have one major issue. The game feels purposeless. Sure bosses are challenging and unique, but there is no reason to beat them other than to say you did it, that you beat the game. If this game had not been as popular as it was, there is no way I would have chosen to beat it. Games with challenging bossfights like Hollowknight and Darksouls provide a reason to play, they provide deep and immersive worlds that are rewarding to explore in their own right. Cuphead didn't need that exact idea implemented, but it did need something to shake things up, to give the player that extra reason to keep going forward. Multiple times I'd play for half an hour, kill 1-2 bosses, and just leave because I was already tired of playing. A game that drains the player like this fails as a whole, and if it didn't have such wonderful eye-candy and ear-candy I would definitely put it lower.

    10-15 hours to beat if you're a mid player like me, maybe buy it on sale if you like to challenge yourself.    … Expand

    A game with one of the best art styles i have ever seen. The gameplay is not that complex and new but the boss rush system is fun. The expert mode when you finish the game doesn't really add much to the game, but can be a cool challenge for everyone who thought it was too easy. I don't think I have to mention the story, it's not really important for that kind of game.

    Astounding game. Phenomenal visuals, OST, gameplay, and characters. However, the world building, and the story overall felt decent at best. They just kinda sprang it on there, and didn't add anything to it really. The game balance is also pretty good, although yeah, some bosses do end up being harder than the devil.
