    This game is hard for the sake of being hard. That said, it's a lot of fun as long as you're not a rage-gamer. Take your time, figure it out, and you'll have a great time.

    Con uno splendido stile grafico ispirato ai cartoni animati degli anni 30, Cuphead offre una giocabilità e un livello di sfida di altissimo livello.
    Difficile ma mai frustrante, semplice da giocare ma mai banale, creativo, ispirato e mai ripetitivo.
    Assolutamente un gioco da gustare fino in fondo.

    Саундтрек - хороший Играть- интересно и классно (оценка общая и для основной игры, и для DLC, ибо DLC получилось таким же отличным) Прошёл игру за 231 смэрть (не знаю включая ли DLC или нет, так как проходил отсров из DLC вторым) Единственное замечание так это иногда слишком сложные боссы,    А что таки можно ещё сказать про эту игру из того, что ещё не сказали?

    This game is nice but you need to stay calm while playing or else you are probably gonna smash all your controllers or keyboreds. All the bad reviews are probably due to the fact that this game is too hard. (also if you dont have a controller, then dont buy it cuz playing with a keybored is not the best option)

    It was fun all the time. As far as I remember i had only problems with Kahls Robot and the Devil. Giving this game 0 because too hard makes me puke... Really? Too hard? Bruh... I am mental and I beaten it! Who in the right mind would say it is too hard! A child? A grandpa? I do not get it.

You can clearly tell what an enemy is planning to do based off of their beautiful animations. They are clearly telegraphed and displayed, usually with an audio cue as well. The attacks are simple, so whenever you die it feels like your fault, not the game's. The game throws an assortment of weapons, charms and supers to deal with bosses. And sometimes all you need to do is mix and match to shred a difficult boss to pieces.

    Secondly, the graphics. This is why most people will buy the game. The beautiful 60fps hand drawn animations just pops out instead of some boring real ones. It just is breathtaking and the 50's style is just amazing. It's fluid, bouncy and just charming. No boss feels similar to another, thanks to some huge surprises in later phases.

    Thirdly, the music. This is, singlehandedly, the best soundtrack in all of gaming. Every single track deserves to be listened to and enjoyed. It's grand, it's jazzy, it's bombastic and it's amazing. Karnival Keffule, I love you.

    Lastly, the open world. The design is just wonderful with things you can interact with just popping out of the screen by bouncing and moving. Npc's are funny and usually help you to beat a boss, find something in the world or give you quests to get coins. Also, a death counter is genius.

    Overall, a 10/10 masterpiece. If anything I wrote about appeals to anyone, then try the game. It's often on sale for about 10 euro.    … Expand

    This is one of my favorite games of all time, the main selling point is the art style, but everything about this game is great, the bosses, run n guns, the npc's, every little detail is great, the story FEELS like something out of a 1930's cartoon, and the dev's perfects everything you could ask for, And their story of how the developed the game is crazy.

    An amazing throwback to the 30s with a great-looking art style like it was in the 30s, with challenging bosses and requiring great reaction and timing to complete. U do have to do some trial and error to beat the bosses. And if ur up for that like I am get this game

I actually like it quite a bit, I may suck at the game but I think it does it's job well of giving players a sense of achievement while also giving probably the tightest run and gun game I've ever played. I've only played the game through once and that was with a friend so I can't really talk that much about the single player difficulty but can say it is not easy no matter which version you decide to play. For example, I went to the frogs boss battle in both single player and CO-OP but the amount of time to beat it was more or less the same no matter what version I played. When I did eventually get to the final boss with said friend, we both felt this massive sense of accomplishment and we still remain proud we finished it. I did have plans on playing through the game again but seeing how some bosses almost me and my friend go insane trying to beat and the game being a bit more difficult on my own, that single player run will probably never happen. However I will say this, I never felt cheated during a particular boss. Everything felt fair and balanced (maybe it's cause I've been cranking up my difficulty settings in games but overall, I think it does it's job). I really loved Cuphead and seeing how the Delicious Last Course (Cuphead DLC) came out not too long ago, I was blown away by how much this game nails what it sets out to do. I even beat it with that same friend not too long ago and we both fell in love with it. An already good game with a little cherry on top to truly make it worth buying and playing. If you need something different from whatever games you've been playing right now, try Cuphead out and see if you like it. I can understand the difficulty being a turn-off for most players but I truly think it's worth it regardless of how much you fail because that eventual victory will feel so good that you feel ready for anything. And if you want, play it with a friend to make the experience more enjoyable and fun (just don't be annoying, revive your friends if they die please). Anyways, thanks for reading. Peace out.… Expand

    I adore this game. Everything within it has exceptional attention to detail, while the music and art style are second to none. You can really tell this game was made with deep passion and care when paying attention to the jaw dropping animation and media references. Obviously the main selling point of this game is the 30s aesthetic, which looks and sounds incredible while not burdening anyI adore this game.     While the game is notorious for being hard (and it is), I don’t think the game is in anyway unbalanced. You don’t lose much progress if you die in a boss and there are different difficulties to suit different skill levels. After getting all achievements in Cuphead, I can say there were very few instances where I found the gameplay boring.

    This is a really good game and the art style and hand drawn art is really good. The gameplay is really hard but thats kinda the point of the game i think. The delicious last course DLC is very pay to win but has enough content and is balanced enough that i can say its good. My overall opinion of this game is that its really good but way to hard.

    What to say about this game... I platinumed it yesterday after having a hard time putting it down since I picked it up. The thing that drew me to it initially was the art design and nostalgia for that era of cartoon animation. I'm a 32 year old who grew up loving early Disney classics, so the game sort of had an in with me from the get go. Beyond the aesthetics, I found a deeplyWhat to say about this game... I platinumed it yesterday after having a hard time putting it down since I picked it up. The thing that drew me to it initially was the art design and nostalgia for that era of cartoon animation. I'm a 32 year old who grew up loving early Disney classics, so the game sort of had an in with me from the get go. Beyond the aesthetics, I found a deeply challenging and sometimes deeply frustrating game. But I found it to be fair, consistent, and learnable. That tipped the scales from frustration to a need to conquer it.

    The game has three modes, all in 2d side scroll: run and gun, air fight, and platforming boss fight. It is essentially a game of roughly 20 boss fights of increasing difficulty (with some exceptions), that requires you to learn the ins and outs of the bosses' behaviors, and adapt. By the time I had beaten the game on normal (let alone expert), I had died or hit the retry button about 230 times. And from what I gather, that's lower than average. However, the boss fights only last about two minutes in most cases. For anyone considering this game, be advised that it will be very frustrating to many gamers. It's brutally challenging and requires quick reflexes and constant reading of loads of information on the screen. To add to the potential frustration, many of the projectiles and hazards launched at you are randomly generated. But with persistence, it is almost a certainty you will learn the general patterns of the bosses and levels, and increase your chances of succeeding.

    The music, sound design and visuals of this game cannot be praised highly enough. There is great care and attention to detail, and a truly memorable and varied score. However, given the hectic nature of the game, it is inherently difficult to enjoy the quality work that went into the visual aspects of the game. One of my favorite aspects of the aesthetic was the ability of the art designers to blend the pleasing and cute with the creepy. Many bosses will present you with downright creepy gestures and shifts in animation, and small audio cues to go along with them. I found this very welcome, and also true to form for animation of the era this game is intended to emulate.

    As far as controls, this game is perfectly playable. The controls are tight and responsive, as they must be. I would strongly advise any player to take some time at the outset of the game to map controls in a manner that makes sense to them. It's extremely important to be able to shoot, jump and dash in simultaneously or in quick succession comfortably. I settled on mapping fire to R1, Jump to X, and Dash to Circle. Movement was set to d-pad. That worked well for me. For the other functions it is not nearly as important how they are mapped, so long as you can remember them and use them on the fly.

    There is one peculiar function in this game that I almost never used. Others will certainly disagree. There is a "lock" function which will hold Cuphead in place, allowing you to aim at angles using the joystick or d-pad. However, it is locked to 8 directions which feels extremely prohibitive in this game. The idea of locking our hero in place to fire at a 45 or 135 degree angle never seemed enticing to me. Cuphead can always shoot up or down without this function, and that ability is crucial.

    Cuphead provides amazing visuals drawing from the earliest in animation, a great big band and jazz score, and extremely fun and challenging gameplay to boot. It will not be everyone's cup of tea, but it was certainly mine and it should be for anyone who enjoys this style of game.    … Expand

    I recommend this game to everyone who believes in himself, wants to learn patience, unity with his Self and watched Naruto.
    A little more and it was possible to put a cast on your fingers, but I coped.

    This game provides many challenges even for those like me who have passed all the souls series games(even Demons Souls), sekiro and bloodborne. Immediately I want to note excellent art design and soundtrack.     Lo jugué en cuanto salió en la pc de mi hermano, recientemente lo compre en GOG y la experiencia fue mas gratificante dado que me adapte muy rápido y de hecho lo terminé en menos de 12 horas. Es un juego único, graficas no vistas en ningún otro juego y una banda sonora que es apreciable por cualquiera, junto con Celeste son de los mejores indies que he jugado en mi vida.
    100% recomendable.

    This game was made with care and time, something that the big projects like Fallout 76 didn't have. It's super good, hard, and the art and music is just perfect. The problems are that it's a bit short, some levels are more fun than others (hate run and gun) and some perks are useless. But overall it's a good game, probably one of the best indies ever made.

    Really stunning art! 11/10! However, the gameplay is a bit repetitive, no progression to feel. I didn't feel the growth as a player either, like you do in Furi or Hollow Knight.
    But the art, man, the art is so wonderful!

As the charming ceramic duo pummel boss after boss to Maddigan's excellent soundtrack, the stakes are steadily raised. By the final level, you will be glued to the screen. It's a great day for a swell battle. You're up!

The fact that every boss battle in this game features literally hundreds of frames of animation is just seriously impressive. The game play is also of course very fun but it sometimes feels like some things are added to fights with only the intent to make the fight harder not more fun. Some examples of this are the auto scroll in some fights like Grim matchstick and that stupid bee. There is also a fight in the dlc that literally flips the screen disorienting your view. None of these things are fun to deal with but they are otherwise small road bumps in this overall pretty great game.… Expand

Ya I understand it’s a good thing and makes the game more interesting but with the pinch of salt I feel its quite unfair with people looking for patters. Wymagająca, bo każdy boss jest unikatowy, wytrzymały i zrobi wszystko by nasCuphead to nietypowa i wymagająca platwormówka inspirowana kreskówkami lat trzydziestych. Nietypowa, ponieważ zamiast typowych scrollowanych plansz w ramach normalnych poziomów walczymy z bossami (i dobrze się stało bo ich jakość jest nierówna), natomiast typowe, platwormowe plansze są jedynie odskocznią. Wymagająca, bo każdy boss jest unikatowy, wytrzymały i zrobi wszystko by nas ukatrupić. Świetna, gdyż ta tródność w więkrzości przypadków wynika nie z tego, że "przeciwnik oszukał", a ze względu na uczciwe wyzwanie które nam stawia. Też dla tego, że karzdy z stawiających nam to wyzwanie przeciwników jest świetnie animowany, świetnie wygląda i jest wyjątkowy. Dla tego, że uprzykrzającym nam życie kolejnym klęskom towarzyszy świetna muzyka.
    Jak już mówiłem, zamiast typowych plansz "bieganych" zazwyczaj musimy uczestniczyć w planszach "walczonych". Te dzielą się na dwa typy: "skakane", w których skaczemy oczywiście, żecz jasna tak by poobijać przeciwnika, oraz "latane", w których, nie zgadniecie, latamy, w sumie w podobnym celu. Ze względu na to, że są one podzielone na dwa typy, rozgrywka jest bardzo zróżnicowana. Chociarz obie są wysokiej jakości, to nie oszukujmy się - te pierwsze są wyszszej. Wspomniane zróżnicowanie przejawia się niestety też w poziomie trudności - zdarzyło się, że przeciwnik z wyspy pierwszej był trudniejszy niż przeciwnik z wyspy trzeciej. Na pocieszenie mamy chociarz wybór poziomu trudności.
    Gra oferuje nam kilka rodzajów broni i umiejętności. Tych pierwszych efekty wizualne są bardzo satysfakcjonujące, w przeciwieństwie niestety do tych dźwiękowych. Dźwięki są ledwo zauwarzalne. Wiem dobrze co na celu miał ten zabieg - nie psucie klimatu. W podobnym celu nie są podawane efekty ataku, zadawane bronią obrażenia czy nawet pasek życia wrogów. To wielkie minusy.
    Jaki jest jednak najwiękrzy tej gry plus? Zaraz po grafice i muzyce, bzdurność przeciwników to najwiękrzy atut Cupheada. A jaki jest najwiękrzy minus? Brak nagrody za pokonanie wroga. Nic. Żadnej monetki, punktu. Nic.
    Ale czym on jest przy poprzednich plusach, oraz tych niewspomnianych jeszcze plusów. Jakich? Na przykład uroczej fabuły i dialogów, potancjału na maksowanie, i wielu innych żeczy. Jedno jest pewne - Cuphead jest grą wartą polecenia!    … Expand

Combine that with the music also reflects what was most commonly seen in cartoons in the 1930's, it perfectly captures all of the aesthetics and presentation. I do not have a single complaint about the presentation, its truly something you have to see and experience, I can't think of anything else like it.

    The gameplay is also amazing. The gameplay really calls back to the platformers from the SNES era - this includes the challenge and frustration as well. It has a balance between run and gun levels and boss battle levels. What I think this game does the best is capturing the spirit of memorization that was required for the SNES era. You could not beat many platformers from that era without trial and error, and then blend that into memorization. This game is brutal and punishing of any mistakes. The more your try a level, the more you will fail, you will probably become a bit frustrated, but you don't realize how each attempt you get one step closer to completing the level. While this was common in games from the early 90's, this is something that people who are not used to the challenge may struggle with. I highly recommend this to everyone and encourage everyone to push through the frustration, because that is how we got satisfaction from gaming as a kid. You would get stuck on a level for days, sometimes weeks, but when you beat the level, the amount of satisfaction and sense of achievement that you feel is something that cannot be replicated.

    Such a strange blend of perfect graphics and sound design from nearly 100 years ago while making a huge callback to gaming from 30 years ago. Amazing game.    … Expand

    For the simple retro style that it has, it already deserves a 10 but speaking of gameplay it is very good with easy to learn and intuitive controls if it is difficult but that is the grace of the game since there is nothing more satisfactory than to beat that boss who annoyed you highly recommended.

    I had the time of the world playing Cuphead, the game's so charming and fun. Cuphead is one of the best indie releases of the recent years and due to its unique and beautiful art style it never felt like an indie game to me. Cuphead is one of those very few games that i demand a sequel for it.

Everything about this game is gorgeous the graphics to the gameplay. The difficulty is well-balanced as well. My only complaint is that They could have made a better balance between bosses and run n gun levels.

    This game is awesome. The controls are great, the graphics are splendid and the game play is fun as hell. Prepare to die a ton, though. No punches are pulled here. Oh and the music is addictive.
