    How low has pc gaming gone for this game to be considered a good game? Gameplay mechanics are awful and the game is short and annoying.

    cool and unique aesthetic and art style and world, but they didn't do anything cool or interesting with it.. instead they just made it into a "rage game" which is just... bleh.

    Cuphead more like Shmuckhead. I played the tutorial and suffice to say, I was NOT impressed. The graphics look like they’re from Darwin’s time period. I thought it couldn’t get any worse, but then I got to the first boss. This blue looking thing was literally impossible to beat, the fact that it can hit me when I’m in the corner is just unfair game design. When I made it 20%, I was lookingCuphead more like Shmuckhead.     Almost too difficult to enjoy. You can only restart the same level so many times before you stop learning from your mistakes and begin to get frustrated. If you get mad at games easily, this game is not for you. this game is only for the true masochist.

    Crap game, recycled garbage, nothing we have not seen before in a run & gun. This does not add anything new, boring all the way, **** controls and a shameful attempt to ca$h from nostalgia. No, thanks, I rather play the classic contra & metal slug games. I actually never played this game, and I really don't want to waste my time with smth that has already seen before. If I want a challengeCrap game, recycled garbage, nothing we have not seen before in a run & gun. I have heard this game is way too hard, and again, the difficulty is not based on fair gameplay, instead it is based of handicapping the player with awful controls, unfair enemies and poor hitbox detection, I am glad this game was dead in weeks. We don't need this indie crap, we need a new AAA Contra or Metal slug title (2D)… Expand

    This game is a waste of money, the reason being that it's boring and has no story whatsoever, also, it's repetitive. I    Unfortunately, this game has no character or depth in it. Before buying it I was told how this game was "amazing" "outstanding" and one of "the best games" people have ever played. But here it is again, when there is too much hype leading to ultimate disappointment.

    This game is a waste of money, the reason being that it's boring and has no story whatsoever, also, it's repetitive. I don't find any entertainment in a game that I can only move right and just shoot at things continuously with three lives all the time. When you compare it to the legendary Super Mario world and Donkey Kong country, it is clear that Cuphead has nothing to offer. Super mario world gives you a lot of innovation, with abilities such as Yoshi while Donkey Kong Country gives you all sorts of different abilities which make the game more engaging. In my opinion, Cuphead offers nothing like that. I think when it comes to platformers like this, you need to think beyond the box and that's what hasn't been delivered here.

    The only thing that redeems Cuphead's qualities are it's amazing art style which is brilliant but the gameplay is just boring, it put me to sleep very quickly. Don't believe the hype on this one and pass it.    … Expand

    A Terrible chose creating this game for first that Inspired by the cartoons of the 1930s.
    Say I Disagree with this game.
    We had Sonic, Animanics, BATIM and Now Cuphead. all them mostly been used to the Classic Cartoon to give them pouplar and newer to the fan To milking the Franchise and Fandom.
    This game is just not that good.
    i say not recommended that stay away.

    bo jest trudna.Gra niczym nie uzasadnia swojego poziomu trudności żadnych mechanik żadnych słabych i mocnych punktów (może po za jednym wyjątkiem gdzie boss ma pare słabych punktów w które trzeba strzelić)
    jedyne twoje zdolności to:
    -zwykły atak
    -mocny
    -specjalny
    -parrowanie (którego nie używałem do przed ostatniej walki z bossem prawie wogóle i spokojnie by mogło go nie być)
    gra dopiero jednak staje się trudna na ostatniej walce z bossem przy drugim świecie co denerwóje bo do tego momentu każdego posa się pokonuje przy maksymalnie 7 podejściach a przy tym smoku to się czuje jakbym spacerek w parku uniemożliwiały mi miny motylkowe.
    a śmierci są tu głównie powodowane przez nagłe zmiany faz bossów które czasami są bardzo nie spodziewane i trudno się domyślić co zrobi albo przez to że twórcy chcieli zrobić jak najbardziej chamski się da konstukcję poziomów i ataki przeciwników.
    a poziomy platformowe to po prostu jebany cyrk na gąsienicach.

    Ale bym zgrzeszył gdybym nie powiedział o jej zaletach
    Cuphead był robiony w pocie czoła przez jakieś 9 lat.Ucinanie kluczowych fragmentów gry na rzecz innych, robienie całych poziomów od nowa
    Grafika jest po prostu AAAAAAAAAH... przepiękna
    A soundtrack... A soundtrack to po prostu arcydzieło
    Muzyka do gry stworzona przez Krzsia Maddigana jest jednym z najleprzych soundtracków z gier jaki kiedy kolwiek słyszałem i będe go słuchał przez ładne lata (swoją drogą twórcy zrobili z tą grą vinela[sory nie wiem jak się to piszę :P])    … Expand

    It consists mainly of Boss Fights, and the emphasis is on memorization of enemy patterns and basically trial & error.     There's nothing to keep you motivated to keep on going. It's just endless and unrewarding boss fights. Most of the upgrades you can buy are useless and add little to the gameplay.

    I loved the art at first, but by the time I reached the second world I already hated each and every of those irritating smiley faces, feeling as though they were mocking me in my frustration with the game. I even had to turn off the music, because I couldn't bear that cheery tune contradicting with the misery I felt while playing.

    I'm so glad I finally finished this stupid game so I can give it a stupid score. This is the most satisfying part of the experience. YES! TAKE THAT!    … Expand

    Cuphead is a stunningly looking, wonderfully animated interactive cartoon with three hours of jazz and ragtime playing in the background. Its gameplay however lacks the brilliance of the audiovisual layer. [12/2017, p.46]

    It is easy to tell that the developers studied the history of the genre through and through, delivering a stellar run and gun experience brought to life with unique old fashioned cartoon graphics. It may have it flaws, but when a game is this appealing it is easy to forgive.
