    It’s fast, fun and engaging and what it lacks in length it makes up for in playability. The puzzles are well thought-out, the core mechanics are honed and the difficulty curve is very even over the course of the game.

    Cubetractor was apparently developed by only two people, and it's a prime example of less being more--the audiovisual presentation is delightful in ways that transcend technology, and its uncomplicated control scheme masks unprecedented depth and often alarming intensity.

    This puzzle hybrid game its perfect for a relaxing game session. The graphics are simple and colorful and the game mechanic is also very simplistic, seems to me perfectly designed for controller.

    It is a cute little strategy game, a very unique puzzle game with very good 2D pixel graphics. Really unique gameplay, accessible, easy to get into, however it can get a bit frustrating at some points

    Now to the recommendation, although I am giving it a recommendation, I didn't really enjoy playing it (hence the 15-20 minutes of gametime), for its full price, I would not recommend it, BUT if it is either in a sale, price drop, giveaway, gift or even given to you as a free game like I got it then I would recommend it.    … Full Review »

    Cubetractor is an 8-bit inspired puzzle game where you play as a rogue robot who makes a break for freedom during the course of taking your "exams". Meanwhile, the robots who built you have no choice but to sit back and hope that you accidentally hit yourself in the face with a cube.

    Mechanically, the game is quite simple. You move your robot around the board and use the space bar to attract blocks toward your position. Once in motion, the blocks continue until they strike something causing damage, merge with another moving block to form a tower, or leave the screen. When not part of a tower, they will regenerate after a few seconds.

    The game is all about creating towers and striking enemies with moving cubes as you progress down the path toward freedom.

    In terms of pros, the story is everything in this game. You should read all the dialog. The mechanics are fun and some of the puzzles really get your pulse pumping as you have to dodge not only the cubes that you send in motion, but also bullets from enemy towers, physical enemies who will aggro you if you get too close, and obstacles like water and mountains.

    In terms of cons, the graphics options are non-existent, the music is not to my taste, and if you hit a block from behind while following it you will take damage.

    This is a nice initial offering from the duo at Ludo Games. I look forward to future titles they might have in the works and I recommend this title for people who like fast-paced puzzles.    … Full Review »
