PC GamerNo FPS diehard should miss it, but I say that more for the Team Instant Action multiplayer than the enjoyable but forgettable single-player campaign. [Dec 2008, p.54]
-
Crysis was a fantastic PC game, and Crysis Warhead serves up more content with the same visual genius. If you're hungry for more, it's hard to go wrong with the $30 price tag -- just don't expect anything revolutionary.
-
Value matters, and though the game doesn't give the completely non-linear gameplay I was hoping it would, the excellence of the early game makes Crysis: Warhead an attractive title for those who enjoyed the original.
-
PC PowerPlayIt doesn’t really push the genre any further forward in terms of gameplay, and as such loses some of the jaw-drop factor that Crysis brought to the market in spades. But then, it isn’t designed to be groundbreaking. It’s designed to preach to the choir. [Dec 2008, p.69]
-
If you were mainly hungering for more Crysis-esque gameplay, Warhead will do you just fine. But if you were expecting to get a more significant story, some resolution to the previous game, or a major innovation in gameplay or graphics, you will be sorely disappointed.

PC Gamer UKA shadow of the awesome original. [Nov 2008, p.70]
