    Unfortunately, it's the worst game in the series and the game that ended the series. The story and gameplay are worse than the second game in every way. Even if you play it with low expectations until the end, it's too boring to finish. I tried it again after many years but I couldn't last long enough to finish it.     This game from Crytek has a lot of problems with combat systems and even visual part. Combat system is weak and poor for vertical gameplay, for example. Visual part is very noisy. Plot (story) is... standard. And direction doesn't have any new or nothing that can surprise the player. General design is poor as well.

    Crysis 3 brought a phenomenal closure to the Crytek Trilogy in 2013, blending the New York City streets from its predecessor with the Original Crysis deep jungle in the NY Dome, in an effort to address fans and mainstream critics who branded Crysis 2 as the black sheep. While I personally loved everything about the game, others were turned off by its New York backdrop setting, or the lowerCrysis 3 brought a phenomenal closure to the Crytek Trilogy in 2013, blending the New York City streets from its predecessor with the Original Crysis deep jungle in the NY Dome, in an effort to address fans and mainstream critics who branded Crysis 2 as the black sheep. While I personally loved everything about the game, others were turned off by its New York backdrop setting, or the lower scope level design with more linear environments. Crysis 3 lives up to the series legacy, with unprecedented graphics and visual art, combined with a compelling and more personal story that answers all lingering questions, the game feels like Christmas all over again for fans of sci-fi action-oriented adrenaline rush experiences.

    Many fans and critics found the game to be extremely easy and short. I agree both recruit and soldier are way too easy, but completing the game on the hardest difficulty takes mastering of the nanosuit and combat encounters. I'm pretty sure those who found the AI too dumb and the game too easy did not experience the hardest difficulty. As for the length, I think it's perfect, when the combat loop starts becoming repetitive, the game ends as the combat reaches its climax before you can start feeling the experience drags on. And after a hard-fought battle, you get a satisfying conclusion of the trilogy.    … Expand

The idea is pretty good, some environments are beautifuly designed as a mix of tropical and urban environment and the darker mood is exactly what the game needed. Unfortunately the game does the same mistakes like Crysis 2. It is not optimized for the pc, the pacing is mediocre, itCrysis 3 takes place in the year 2047 and you play once again as Prophet in a post apocalyptic New York.     There was some evolution in the graphics from 2 to 3 and they are beautiful!
    Gameplay is fluid, with some weapon additions and nanosuit improvements.
    In terms of upgrading the Nanosuit, I preferred 2.
    The story is interesting but it's very short, lasting about 6 hours and that's it.
    The game is a lot of fun while it lasts, too bad it doesn't last long.

I blame this largely on the inclusion of a special bow and arrow that you can fire while using the Cloak mode of your Nanosuit. This cloak-and-bow combination is simply overpowered in most parts of the campaign. The campaign is also significantly shorter than it was in Crysis 2, and the story isAlthough the graphics and scenery are magnificent, Crysis 3 isn’t consistently fun to play.     This was the first proper game I bought when it came out, I had fun memories with it. Graphics 10/10, gameplay 8.5/10 the story was OK, multiplayer was full of hackers :).

    I played Crysis 3 just to conclude the trilogy story. Beautiful graphics. That's it. The rest is Crysis 2 all over - linear levels, "meh" storyline, generic FPS gameplay combined with a cool supersuit. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Neutered of everything that made the first game stand above others, just a generic boring console FPS that has decent graphics in which you have to even manually enter commands on a txt file so that the field of view isn't horrible.

I myself am a console player who prefers to take the gamepad almost everywhere. I say it everywhere, because FPS games or strategies according to them are simply a matter of keyboard and mouse. The story here is good, although in my opinion it does not surpass the previous ones and for example such a Prophet seemed unsympathetic to me, but that is purely my opinion. Game time is, I would say, for 5 hours, but this is usually the case with shooters. The game basically does what the second one does, it just doesn't add anything new. So if you liked the previous parts, then I think that Crysis 3 is a sure choice for you. For me, a good game that I recommend.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, it's a pretty solid and fun FPS game, and I feel that it's better than Crysis 2. It has more open and huge outdoor areas, which allow for more freedom than Crysis 2. The gunplay and the combat are both awesome, and the gameplay took more notes from Crysis 1, which is still the best in the franchise. My only major complaint about the gameplay is that the bow is very, very, VERY stupidly OP much of the time, to the point where it kinda overshadows much of Prophet's arsenal.
    As for the story....meh. I gave up on the story of Crysis ever since Crysis 2 decided to retcon all sorts of stuff, and the story of Crysis 2 is a convoluted and poorly told mess. I DO understand the story of Crysis 2, but it's told very poorly. Here, there isn't much issue with the way the story is told, but rather the story itself. It's incredibly...generic. Resistance fights evil corporation and aliens and saves the world. The end. The story is basically the story of the Half-Life 2 trilogy, only without anything that made the story of those games so great. No real interesting or well written characters or lore.    … Expand

    As a long time Crysis fan, this part was the first where I haven't seen credits rolling. The setting, narrow maps and lack of any story in which I would be at least remotely interested is a big no. The graphics fine, they were good, but the styling and gameplay is a downside in my opinion.

    This is the first time a video games pisses me off. It's the worst thing I have ever played. Crysis 3 took the first place on my worst video game list. Second close is another garbage Crysis 1 with "1 core optimized engine". Not recommended.    … Expand

    The majority of the game feels optional, as all you do is cloak whenever you can and then walk past enemies or shoot them in the head. Gunning down enemies is simpler than any other alternative as the enemy AI is incredibly primitive. Since the maps are condensed and linear, you never bother to strategize how to deal with targets and simply take them head-on or ignore them. There are holes around the maps that you can accidentally get stuck in, forcing you to restart from the last checkpoint. I chose the Veteran (hard) difficulty, and even though I wanted to, I was unable to raise the difficulty afterwards.

    Overall, Crysis 3 failed to scratch the same itch for me that the original Crysis did. It felt really tame. There was no room for creativity, no need for stealth, and killing enemies felt more like getting rid of people who were just in the way. If anything, this sequel played out more like Metro 2033 than Hitman, and in a bad way. Nothing is particularly memorable in this sequel, so you can safely skip it.    … Expand

    If you need something to shoot then get this at discount and it's good for 10 or so hours of decent corridor shooting in even smaller corridors than Crysis 2. Also the gameplay has been dumbed down again, more of the tools have been streamlined and now some of the abilities gamers had in Crysis 2 have been taken away. From the original five suit functions everything has been streamlined into just two.

    Gameplay is boring for the most part. Also there are now insane amount of animations and cutscenes which harm the gameplay. Not to mention that the story and writing is just plain bad. None of the characters make any logical decisions and they are not behaving like they used to in previous games in this series. I pretty much hated playing this but at least I did finally play it through.

    But it's a game and it works so if you don't care about anything except the shooting part then this works for you. You probably want this for game console but it runs well in a Windows-PC too.    … Expand

    The shooting and action are pretty enjoyable, and the enemy design are finally more fair. Enemies that are annoying to kill in the previous games are still here, but this time they are easier to kill because you can approach them in multiple ways now.

    The plot doesn't make any sense. Although the game plot standalone in itself is okay-ish, it doesn't really fit the sequels at all. At first I thought this is like a pre-sequel to Crysis 2, until the end only I realize it is a sequel. It makes no sense at all.    … Expand

    The third part of the game I really liked in all the aspects of the game-play, plot, graphics and ... its music. Oh yes, this soundtrack, which for a very long time after the game does not go out of my head, and will always be recognized in the future from the first notes of sound.

Até hoje tem os melhores graficos pra quem teve a oportunidade de jogar com tudo no maximo e com o fov elevado.

    Enquanto os jogos de hoje em dia entregam texturas para suprir a demanda do 4k, crysis é "simplesmente' bem feito, apresentando diversas camadas de detalhes muito acima da sua época.
    A gameplay diversifica, mas ao mesmo tempo é solida.

    A historia foi o ponto mais alto do game pra mim. Amo ficção cientifica, e os plots me agradaram demais, e são muito congruentes levando em conta alguns vertigios na plotline.

    Provavel que Crysis só retorne na proxma geração de consoles, mas como não confio muito na EA, fico com o pé atras e desejo que, se vier, que seja um spinoff, que não venha a afetar a trilogia.    … Expand

    Nothing to complain. Very interesting and well told story. The gameplay is the best I've ever experienced in a shooter game. And the graphics are just brilliant. This game is so much ahead of its time, there were nothing even close to that. Even today in the year 2017 this game looks AMAIZING and is much better than most of the current titles.

Kolejny raz musimy przecież uratować świat i mimo tego, że robiłem to już tyle razy, to starałem się podejść do tego poważnie… serio! ^^ Szkoda tylko, że gra jest tak krótka (przejście jej zajmuje około 6-7 godzin), po takim tytule oczekiwaliśmyCrysis 3 wciąga jak dobry film akcji i choć możemy łatwo domyślić się przebiegu wydarzeń oraz zakończenia to chcemy przeżyć to na własnej skórze.     The 10 just means I like it and would recommend it. Just finished the single player campaign and really enjoyed it. I tried to play this game for the PS3 and thought it was so terrible that I quit. However the PC version (on a good pc) looks amazing and it worth the play through. D'abord son boss de fin, grotesque et con (on se croirait dans un jeu japoniais), ensuite son instabilité notoire (erreur "dxgi device removed", 4 fois en tout, ça commence à bien faire -il oublie la carte vidéo, rien que ça...) ; enfin ses retours au bureau intempestifs toutes les 2 mn (ou toutes les 30 s ça dépend) juste après avoir vaincu ce boss idiot mais qui obligent à le recommencer puisque le point de sauvegarde est au milieu du combat. Impossible de finir le jeu dans ces conditions, c'est quand même ballot...

    Heureusement un patch est sorti (plus d'un mois après la sortie...) et corrige ce bug foireux, il était temps... voilà qui permet la confirmation définitive que la fin est nulle à chier : le boss lui-même, la configuration du niveau qui fait la part belle au bourrinage idiot et la petite séquence vaguement interactive qui vient après est assez ridicule. Assez bâclé donc ce Crysis 3 mais avec (encore) de bons moments ici et là.    … Expand

    Absolutely amazing! Has best graphics I've ever seen so far and the story made me cry in the end ( i am a fun of this series). I'll never forget Aztec, Jester, Psycho, Nomad and Prophet(Laurence Barnes) in my life and that shows game influenced me like Half Lİfe(who forgets Freeman?).

    Played at Post-Human Warrior    An example of a game clearly made before its time, Crysis 3 proves to be an excellently made shooter with its own pitch and twinkles, carefully pacing the story campaign which nicely rounds off the story of Lawrence "Prophet" Barnes (the main character), and delivers an excellent multiplayer component with various game modes and customization options.

    Played at Post-Human Warrior difficulty on a rather mediocre laptop PC, the game still looked as good as promised while delivering a rather smooth gameplay experience with slick controls and intense action in a decent story campaign. Largely retaining previous mechanics, Crysis 3 expands upon the gameplay of the previous entry with features such as remote hacking and more environment pickups for your leisure. Yes, bad-ass alien weaponry confirmed. Now you can imagine a big energy ball of death flying towards your helpless target.

    The multiplayer component is also entirely functional, fulfilling what expectations there may be for the multiplayer shooter these days, such as (Team) Deathmatch and point-capture modes, and more niche options such as Hunter and Frenzy, fulfilling the experience that is Crysis 3 on both singleplayer and PvP multiplayer fronts.

    Overall, Crysis 3 is a game living up to its legacy, combining the best features of both the first and second entry in the series for a finishing title in the main series. Don't expect Crysis to be quite over yet, though. It may come under a different name, but the remnants of the alien-invaded Earth may have yet more to show. Play the game through and watch the end credits for a last cutscene. You will not be disappointed.    … Expand

It’s a pity that Crytek’s games never quite lived up to the promise of their excellent game engine.     Game is... just like Crysis 2. Do not use the bow, is totally broken and overpower. You can play un Ultra 1440p at 120-144 most of the time with a 980. So the game looks very nice, graphically. That is why I give a 5 . But in reality game is 4 at most!

    The last game in the series is also the weakest one. The story has too much melodrama for my taste and the campaign lasted only 4 hours even on the hard difficulty with all the side missions done.

I miss the flash-freeze ice and interior alien spaceship from the first game. Also the aliens aren’t very interesting, just messes of triangular shapes. I prefer the human enemies of Crysis 1. The beautiful thermal vision superimposed over silver-grayscaled cold background returns from Crysis 2 for your “heat vision” viewtype, possibly the greatest improvement those games made over Crysis 1.
    (Sound Effects = 7)
    (Voice Acting = 8)
    (Physics = 7) Everything ragdolls and you can throw barrels. Although visually sharper, it’s much more static; I really miss the way trees in Crysis 1 would fall over when you mowed them down with a machine gun.
    (Plot = 6) Cliched, but not horrible and skippable after the first viewing.

    [CONTROLS/MECHANICS = 4]
    (50% Stealth = 1) Stealth options are limited to cloaking, throwing objects for distraction, stealth kills from behind, and bow-and-arrow sniping. The problem is sniping does not break your cloak, so it’s too easy to kill enemies without challenge. To prevent the game from becoming boring, I had to decide not to stealth.
    (50% First-Person Shooter = 5) Movement/aiming are pretty smooth. You don’t have any new suit powers, but this time they are all activated by separate controller buttons rather than a selection wheel. So to super-jump you just hold the jump button longer, super-speed is just sprinting (L3), super-strength is automatic when punching or throwing, and armor and cloak have separate buttons. That works more smoothly than it ever did in Crysis 1, while preserving the balance of each power drawing from the same limited pool of recharging energy. I dislike that grenades are considered a separate weapon to switch to rather than a secondary weapon as in Halo.
    The standard weapons are limited to sniper rifle, shotguns and assault rifles. Unfortunately you can only carry 2 guns, not counting the bow or the C4/rocket launcher. But the big problem is the utter lack of ammunition. Every large area has one ammo cache with about 2 clips per gun and 1-2 rockets, which is insufficient for the more than 10 enemies guarding the area. None of the enemies drop standard ammo because they’re all aliens.
    About ¼ of the aliens drop alien weapons, 1-clip’s worth of alien rifle/shotgun, again, insufficient to kill 4 other aliens. Occasionally you get an alien mortar-grenade-launcher or flamethrower, which are cool, but limited.
    The bow-and-arrow, while overpowered if cloaked, isn’t particularly fun, but you will use it because you quickly run out of everything else. So gameplay amounts to you having your fun with the ammo available, then the arrows, then cloaking and melee-ing the remainder until you find the next ammo cache. This could have been solved by just making the ammo caches provide infinite clips.
    (Physics = 6) You can throw barrels (including explosive) and objects.
    (Friendly AI = none)
    (Enemy AI = 3) It works, and enemies will shoot at you when cloaked if you remain at the last known position, but otherwise you can cloak and snipe your way through levels unmolested.

    [DESIGN = 3]
    (Menus = 6)
    (Level Design = 2) The game is linear, the levels are somewhat open, but you have no real options. In Crysis 1 you could take advantage of verticality by super-jumping up several stories in buildings, or you could punch through walls of a shack, Red Faction-style, to get the drop on enemies. Here everything is static, rarely vertical, and cover does not get destroyed, so at its best the game is mere linear FPS.
    (Difficulty Curve = 6)
    (Upgrade System = 5) As in previous Crysis-es, you can pull up a rifle menu to swap out components (like scopes and grips), which lets you customize guns with any items previous picked up. I particularly like the thermal vision scopes, which save you from having to switch back and forth in your main view. But the game also has a weird unlockable upgrade system I never really bothered with.
    (Modes = Singleplayer campaign (7 hours, 50% padding), Competitive and Cooperative Online Multiplayer) Everything after you run out of ammo is “padding.” The game is old enough at time of writing that online multiplayer is a ghosttown.

    Crysis 1 was brilliant, a worthy successor to Deus Ex 1 but without the hacking or conversation options. Crysis 2 was a standard linear FPS with only stealth or shooting options.     I've played all the Crysis games and have loved all of them. My main complaint no the last 2 is how short the games are. I finished Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 in 5 hours. While I could crank up the difficulty (I usually play games like this on normal), the overall game isnt that long. There is a ton of amazing content, graphics, etc. The bots are fairly intelligent and I thoroughly loved the 5I've played all the Crysis games and have loved all of them.     Although missing the crysis 1 target completly it is still a refined experience...If you have the specs for it. The environment is emersive and dangerous, and the stealth gameplay gets amped by the bow. Compared to indirect competition like Call of Duty and Battlefield(singleplayer) it's stands its ground.

    Crysis 3 is a perfect example of great graphics not making a great video game. This game is so boring I can hardly put it into words. Graphics: 10/10. Everything else: -11/10. I can't give this pile of dump a negative score so it gets a 0. More functional as a screen saver.

    The reason the bow is so important is because the game is brutal without it. It's a one-shot kill mostly and you can stay cloacked when firing. I played it on the fourth of the five difficulty settings, Super-Soldier, (no crosshair and have to aim down sights). Without the bow I died almost endlessly, but persevered on. Second play I played Veteran (middle difficulty), and used the bow. In places which took hours and maybe thirty deaths without the bow, I passed first time with the bow.

    The graphics astound on full settings. They rock, mindboggling, superb, cool beyond belief. (The graphics max with maximum 8xAA which is all the game has, with the GTX970 4GB.

    However some scenes still alias badly. I found using 1440p DSR (with 1080p monitor) and 4 MSAA worked well at clearing up aliasing. It takes out the dazzling effect from a lot of the bad areas. The problem is the fine details in many scenes. They have added straight lines to almost everything in indoor scenes, and everywhere they dazzle with aliasing. However I found the single GTX 970 struggled slightly at that depth of graphics demand in the intense moments. I had to revert back to 1080p and 8MSAA. It was also because every time I restarted the game in 1440p the menus were all zoomed in.

    The story is brilliant so I don't understand the complaint at that. The action is solid and the guns and shooting good.

    I had an issue with the training. It is narrated/guided by a woman with no respect for the genre of game type. She clearly has a sarcastic attitude to sci-fi tech in games.

    The final a other point which I knock a mark off for it the final boss. Everything went wrong with it. On my first play on Super-soldier I left it without completing the game, after about fifty tries. Second play I beat it but with stressful difficulty. Firstly there's a bit of speech and you can't fire in this time. However many times I could not fire after. There's a bug. I'd be standing mashing mouse 1 for five minutes and nothing. It seems to hint that you should use ceph nano-tech power packs to get going. Anyway after about twenty-five attempts on Veteran I finally beat the boss. About twelve hours steady play.    … Expand

    Still if you enjoyed the previous games than Crysis 3 is worth a play through for fans of the series.

    The only thing I didn't like in the game is difficulty setting which enforces stealth - you can only really play other styles on first two difficulty levels and it's only really fun at the easiest setting. Other settings strongly enforce stealth because for some reason they decided that nano suit is made of aluminium foil in third installment. It's not only that you are very easily killed but if your cover is blown all hell breaks lose and enemies start coming from miles away which of course IS realistic but makes the game harder and more serious than previous two. If you remember the first one, you remember how dumb and inadequately equipped enemy soldiers were. Well it seems they finally evolved, they're very organized, form search parties and now have tools to deal with your nano suit. I give it 9/10.    … Expand

    It looks great, it plays great, still it is one of the most annoying game ever to come out on pc. The checkpoint system kills the fun. You don't want to discover, you don't want to experiment or have fun, you just want to survive so you don't have to replay 10-15 minutes again. Like a f.kin Groundhog day...
    It is not a miracle that with games like this Crytek is ruining itself.

The graphics: probably the best aspect of the game would set the benchmark for years to come. The world is more realistic than ever and the detail is just amazing. The multiplayer was surprisingly fun and quite well done. Just a bit more content and smoothness and this would have been on par with some AAA titles. What I always wanted, however was a co-op mode. Something along the lines of the Ceph infected humans being zombies or something but that sounds a bit like Advanced Warfare's Zombie Exo Survival. Still, I would like to see something like that as well as all the improvements stated above in a future Crysis game... If they ever make another one that is. So to conclude, I had fun with this game.     so the most effective way to complete the game is just walk around in stealth.. shooting is actually quite boring.. and the "emotional" storyline.. give me a break. got too bored after ceph came on and was forced to go around in a buggy.

    STORY AND CHARACTERS: The writing is by far the weakest part of the game. It tries to be much smarter than it is - the characters are always one step behind the player in terms of the twists and turns of the plot and you feel like the writers take you for an idiot when something telegraphed hours ago finally happens and everyone is in shock except for you. To put it simply - if they say something can't possibly happen, it's happens. And they try to tackle the ethics and morals of 'man vs machine' but it's handled so clumsily it's as if a high-school student wrote the dialogue. This isn't assisted by the fact that the characters are boring and you can't form emotional attachments to any of them because they don't think and act in any relatable way.

    GAMEPLAY: The gunplay mechanics are smooth and fun and the seamless integration of the nanosuit technology makes this one of the game's strongest points. However, the battles have an episodic feel to them in the sense that the enemies only pop up once you reach a certain point on the map, and never exist dynamically in the world. So you kill a bunch of guys, move to the next area, kill a bunch of guys, etc, etc. On top of this, the use of vehicles is shoe-horned in and is completely redundant, and the game takes control away from the player for in-game cutscenes far too many times, and in completely unnecessary situations. If they had let you control the ship you're in rather than putting it on rails, or let you follow the characters actively and observe your surroundings, rather than watching passively the game could have had more life to it.

    OVERALL: Somewhere along the line, Cryktek forgot what made the original Crysis so fun, and even though Crysis 2 bored me, this is my least favourite in the series for the simple fact that while number 2 felt like a corridor shooter compared to the original, it took place in the city streets so at least this feeling was contextualised. Crysis 3, on the other hand, tries to pretend it's much bigger and grander than it is. It has the corridor-shooter feel of the second game, but tries to hide this fact by adding some open fields for you to trudge through. That's all well and good if there's something interesting to see in the field, but the only interesting scenery is on the horizon, and the only place worth going is towards the objective.

    I give this a 7 because the engine is amazing and the gunplay is genuinely good. But a qualitative rating would be an 'eh' out of 10.    … Expand

    Yes it looks amazing, maxed out on high end gaming rig this is the best looking game ever made. However as a game it is only mediocre, it is more a benchmark for PC enthusiasts and a vehicle for the developer to sell their engine. Its story and setting are just rehashes of Crysis 2, which though a disappointment graphics wise, was actually a better game.

    I was pretty upset when I read the reviews of this game by the time it was released. While I enjoyed the second part more than the first one (Especially the stupid labyrinth during the alien level, the story got worse by progression- Generic American pathos, made me yawn and dulling away quickly. Furthermore the levels are HUGE, but still filled with a large variety of elements the player can use- Hack enemy turrets, shut down minefields, lure enemies away by shooting explosive barrels.. You can ALWAYS do more than simply rush through the middle of the map, shoot like a maniac and kill anything on the screen. You can flank, stealth and duck to get past the hordes of enemies- yes, this is possible!

    What I still don't like is the weapon handling and mechanics- every weapon (almost) feels the same.

    Graphics, FPS combat, and very little game play elements kept this game afloat for me but that will only get your so far. Story line has been brutally murdered and torn apart for god knows what reason.

    While it is technically the best version of Crysis out there, it is really only a slightly better version of Crysis 2’s mechanics and graphics. Because of that, Crysis 3 feels more like an expansion pack to Crysis 2 than a true sequel and more than likely not worth your time.
