Crysis 3 doesn't pull on the full-fledged part, although it is done well, but it is too short, as a dlc it would be great for Crysis 2. And yeah It would be nice if Crytek remembered their only franchise.

The games good thing is good graphics, that's it, the mix of jungle and city looks amazing.

But the gameplay is streamlined, made easier so controllerplayers can keep up. As PC Purist this is just horrible, you feel it when you play that Crysis 3 was made with consoles in mind, at least they brought back the speedmode again, so gameplay has at least a little bit more momentum.

AI is plain horrible, cloak completely destroys the AI. I could rush through the game with cloak abuse and turn the game into a walk in the park, it's ridiculous.

Multiplayer is just Call of Duty with Nano Suit nothing special.

If this is what next gen games look like, good graphics and nothing else, we are fkn doomed! Whats left is a mediocre shooter which is quite forgetable, personally i think Crytek has lost their touch and will never reahc the glory of Crysis 1 which was created with the one and only platform in mind, the PC.

Hahaha, it's blatantly obvious what "PC gamers" look for in a game nowadays. Yes, this is the best looking game ever made, but I'm sorry it is just another mediocre FPS. The AI is incredibly stupid, you can simply be in stealth mode the entire game and wreak havok on any enemy you come across. I'm sorry, but the first crysis is still both the most fun and the best game overall out of the series. This one has the "best" multiplayer yet in the crysis universe, but compared to other multiplayer FPS's cmon now, it just simply doesn't compete to something like BF3. It boils down to this, this is a remarkable looking game and truly jaw dropping even on modest settings, but that gameplay is trite and mediocre, which is a shame. Expand

But you know the gameplay is fun enough It hasnt changed all that much since the previous games. You can still abuse the hell out of the cloak system and the AI doesnt really put up any real challenge most of the time. The checkpoint can be a source of annoyance.

The production values are great and everything sounds and looks awesome. The characters are extremely detailed and nicely voiced. But i didnt really care about the story or any of the characters. You dont really have any reason to care about the world and the sci fi story is pretty damn generic.

I might sound more negative about the game than i really am. Its not like its a bad game. Everything works as it should and if you are new to the crysis series then you will probably have a lot of fun with the nanosuit.

But the game didnt have any major impact on me. It didnt make me feel anything when playing it. I recognize that as far a criticism go this is a quite one. But for me this game was quite a forgetful experience.

Perhaps its the fact that my playstyle basically is me sneaking past everyone. And the sneaking in this game is way overpowered and dull. Not to mention that you can pick off anyone at any time with little to no consequence. The fact that you easily could kill everyone if spotted could be one of those thing that removes the tension of the stealth.

But hey i have rambled enough. Crysis 3 is an good enough game and if you are looking for a high production valued 6 hours action filled campaign then you could do way worse.

An insult to the legacy of Crysis 1. Not enough ammo is available for an action-FPS, and an overpowered option to kill while invisible ruins the stealth.

    [PRESENTATION = 7]
(Graphics = 9) Very pretty, with a ton of foliage, and I really enjoy the sparks flying when bullets miss. Explosions look good.
(Visual aesthetics = 6) The entire game is ruined city with overgrown foliage. Other than the insides of a few buildings and a cave level, there’s precious little variety. I miss the flash-freeze ice and interior alien spaceship from the first game. Also the aliens aren’t very interesting, just messes of triangular shapes. I prefer the human enemies of Crysis 1. The beautiful thermal vision superimposed over silver-grayscaled cold background returns from Crysis 2 for your “heat vision” viewtype, possibly the greatest improvement those games made over Crysis 1.
    (Sound Effects = 7)
    (Voice Acting = 8)
(Physics = 7) Everything ragdolls and you can throw barrels. Although visually sharper, it’s much more static; I really miss the way trees in Crysis 1 would fall over when you mowed them down with a machine gun.
(Plot = 6) Cliched, but not horrible and skippable after the first viewing.

    [CONTROLS/MECHANICS = 4]
(50% Stealth = 1) Stealth options are limited to cloaking, throwing objects for distraction, stealth kills from behind, and bow-and-arrow sniping. The problem is sniping does not break your cloak, so it’s too easy to kill enemies without challenge. To prevent the game from becoming boring, I had to decide not to stealth.
(50% First-Person Shooter = 5) Movement/aiming are pretty smooth. You don’t have any new suit powers, but this time they are all activated by separate controller buttons rather than a selection wheel. So to super-jump you just hold the jump button longer, super-speed is just sprinting (L3), super-strength is automatic when punching or throwing, and armor and cloak have separate buttons. That works more smoothly than it ever did in Crysis 1, while preserving the balance of each power drawing from the same limited pool of recharging energy. I dislike that grenades are considered a separate weapon to switch to rather than a secondary weapon as in Halo.
The standard weapons are limited to sniper rifle, shotguns and assault rifles. Unfortunately you can only carry 2 guns, not counting the bow or the C4/rocket launcher. But the big problem is the utter lack of ammunition. Every large area has one ammo cache with about 2 clips per gun and 1-2 rockets, which is insufficient for the more than 10 enemies guarding the area. None of the enemies drop standard ammo because they’re all aliens.
About ¼ of the aliens drop alien weapons, 1-clip’s worth of alien rifle/shotgun, again, insufficient to kill 4 other aliens. Occasionally you get an alien mortar-grenade-launcher or flamethrower, which are cool, but limited.
The bow-and-arrow, while overpowered if cloaked, isn’t particularly fun, but you will use it because you quickly run out of everything else. So gameplay amounts to you having your fun with the ammo available, then the arrows, then cloaking and melee-ing the remainder until you find the next ammo cache. This could have been solved by just making the ammo caches provide infinite clips.
(Physics = 6) You can throw barrels (including explosive) and objects.
    (Friendly AI = none)
(Enemy AI = 3) It works, and enemies will shoot at you when cloaked if you remain at the last known position, but otherwise you can cloak and snipe your way through levels unmolested.

    [DESIGN = 3]
    (Menus = 6)
(Level Design = 2) The game is linear, the levels are somewhat open, but you have no real options. In Crysis 1 you could take advantage of verticality by super-jumping up several stories in buildings, or you could punch through walls of a shack, Red Faction-style, to get the drop on enemies. Here everything is static, rarely vertical, and cover does not get destroyed, so at its best the game is mere linear FPS.
    (Difficulty Curve = 6)
(Upgrade System = 5) As in previous Crysis-es, you can pull up a rifle menu to swap out components (like scopes and grips), which lets you customize guns with any items previous picked up. I particularly like the thermal vision scopes, which save you from having to switch back and forth in your main view. But the game also has a weird unlockable upgrade system I never really bothered with.
(Modes = Singleplayer campaign (7 hours, 50% padding), Competitive and Cooperative Online Multiplayer) Everything after you run out of ammo is “padding.” The game is old enough at time of writing that online multiplayer is a ghosttown.

    [CONCLUSION]
Crysis 1 was brilliant, a worthy successor to Deus Ex 1 but without the hacking or conversation options. Crysis 2 was a standard linear FPS with only stealth or shooting options. Crysis 3 is Crysis 2 with the stealth overpowered-ly boring and the shooting fun but arrested every few minutes by low ammo. If cheap, worth maybe one playthrough.

    3) Storyline is predictable

    Great graphics yes. Everybody knows.
Excellent sound and music. But these things are expected nowadays. Good story. Great storytelling. Better weapon attachments. Cons: WAY TOO SHORT! U can get through the whole game cloaked. Stupid AI. Upgrade Armor mode to max and then just keep showing up in front of the CELL soldiers. God they are dumb, even on Post-Human Warrior.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I liked this game for the most part, the only think that set me off was the storyline. It takes the most random turns and even the end cutscene has me confused. At the end it shows Prophet on the beach of the island from Crysis 1 and he has his own body made of some nanobots. But the thing was Prophet killed himself in Crysis 2 and the story seems to forget that Prophet was using Alcatraz body to keep him alive in the suit and use him to complete the mission. So having been confused, I do think the game has improved and it had wonderful additions. Expand

Great game, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. The campaign is a bit dry and the A.I isn't all that great. but it is entertaining nonetheless. Multiplayer isn't fantastic either; limited CoD-like game modes, awkward maps and really unbalanced weaponry, but again, it is good fun just to sit back and play.

I would recommend it, but only if you're going to pay less than £30 for it.

This game is the same as Crysis 1 was perhaps little better. You do not play it for fun, fresh and intense shooter experience. Despite the fact, that Crytek wants to persuade you, its opposite and all this nanosuit's features, opponents and shooting are incredibly cool they are not. You play Crysis 3 for tessellated water, global illumination and particle shadows. Then you will return to first F.E.A.R., Far Cry and Unreal, if you want to play a real good shooter.

However, in the fluffy world of Crysis with no gore, weak shaking weapons and weak opponents, Crysis 3 is the best of all! It is not an infamous Crysis 2 at least on PC. Combat, whenever its EAlized boring averageness, is the funniest of all in the franchise. Broken New York is full of interesting scenes and when the game tells you "look, this is cool", it actually is cool. Not like Crysis 2 "oh damn, another falling skyscraper scene, sigh".

And stupid AI.. just really dumb..they know they are confronting invisible guy, and make nothing from it. They just keep walking by, checking on corpses of their mates, and die exactly at the same spot.. The bow is just a cheat, it makes the game too easy. All those special arrows are simply not required. You can stealth kill almost any opponent in the game and pick your arrows to kill next guy. I've beaten it on max difficulty level without even trying easier ones... Unforgiving they say? lol... TOO DAMN EASY. The only difficulty was fighting stalkers in second mission when the suit broke down... and final boss was not too chalenging.. but took some time to kill..

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Note that his rating is for the PC version only:

    - State of the art graphics, not much more to say to this
    - Good but not extraordinary sound and music (see also Atmosphere rating)
    - Mediocre gameplay, weapons system pretty much the same as in Crysis 2. The hacking minigame is just boring, Weapons system not really comfortable to use on a PC with a keyboard. Integrating a "god mode" by overloading the nanosuit is imho just stupid and boring. Never had the feeling to face smart enemies, thus not the best AI but not bad either.
    - Story is okay, way better told than in Crysis 2 but still very predictable and not very complex
    - Atmosphere is okay but not really what I would call stunning. The battle sound sometimes starts without really being in battle if you sneak by an enemy.
    - Not much innovation except for the graphics and maybe the bow. Just like in Crysis 2 you first fight Cell, then Cell plus Ceph and finally only the Ceph in an alien level.

    Conclusion:
standard shooter with fantastic graphics, good music/sound and the rest ist pretty much average.

He brought backTo preface this, this review is coming from a PC player, who prior to playing this game re-played both Crysis 1 and Crysis 2. My review will hyperfocus on what disappointed me, and you may not have felt the same way. Cevat Yerli, boss of Crytek (the development studio behind Cry 3) for months ahead of release was touting the incredible graphics achievement of Crysis 3. He brought back the 'Can it Cun?' question, from the original Crysis. Can your PC run Crysis 3? Can it run it at Max settings? A clever gimmick, and one that was relevant in 2007, because Crysis 1 truly was cutting-edge. I played this game with a GTX 680/3770k overall an upper-tier machine, that can easily max out 99% of games while achieving high frames per second. For the record I'm also on the newest certified Nvidia drivers. I also played this monitoring my FPS in-game, using a program called FRAPS which shows your frames per second, in-game. GRAPHICS: Huge disappointment to the PC gamer. Why? Because of the lack of stability in FPS. On the 'high' preset, in standard settings, I would be getting FPS of 50-60, but then, look into the distance or through a window and BOOM. FPS drops 75%. This was awful. I've never encountered such irritating instability in FPS. And it's not because of superior graphics, it's because of poor optimization from the developers, and maybe intentionally to enforce their 'Can it Play?' gimmick. At the end of it all, in order to keep my sanity while playing I had to do a massive tweak of the settings, where putting a couple advanced settings on low seemed to help a lot. Here's a tip for the first part with the rain: Turn water to low, because all that cruddy-looking rain is burning your FPS. Here's the other thing about the graphics, nothing ground-breaking, nothing new, and not much of a step up from Crysis 2, which was a very stable game comparatively. The graphics are not the best I've seen, and objects seem jagged despite high settings and high Anti-Aliasing. GAME IMPROVEMENT? To call this Crysis 2.5 would be an overstatement. There is very little innovation and improvement from the gameplay mechanisms of Crysis 2. THE BOW: You obtain the bow weapon in the first 10 minutes of the game. For the remainder of the game, you feel inclined to remain cloaked, use the bow for insta-kills, and then pick up your arrows after. Infinite ammo unbalanced weapon that breaks the game. THE STORY: Feels forced, unrealistic. Dialogue doesn't feel human. It feels like watching a bad movie. INTEL: Pieces of "Intel" you pick up as one of your only rewards for exploring. They are the usual generic audio/text background story elements, except they act a tedious mechanic, and feel like a forced addition to Crysis 3. PSYCHO: A character from Crysis 1 (and Warhead). In the first game he acted like a rational person, a human being. In Crysis 3 he is physically a different person; he looks different, has a different voice, and acts differently. He goes from being an asset to the story in Cry 1, to being a whiney disturbance, and carrying his personal baggage into the mission.

PROPHET: A character who progresses through the series as a seemingly wise, mature, and hardened individual. In Crysis 3, he seems to play along with the childish antics of Psycho, and takes himself down a notch in the process. THE AI: Possibly the worst of the series. Basic human enemies are incompetent fools that can be destroyed with little effort. You know it's a bad sign, when in the first fifteen minutes of the game you overhear the same 'unique' guard chatter twice. THE VERDICT: I could probably add a number more details. The bottom line is this is the worst game of the series, and I genuinely feel it deserves a 6/10, while the other two games float around an 8.5/10.

Maybe I miss more aliens. Perhaps after playing great open-world shooters like Far Cry 3 or Borderlands 2,for me, this game disappoints.I'm just sort of lost in Crysis 3's long weeds. The narrative is not that compelling, and the AI and combat in general, are too repetitive in terms of strategy, dialogue, etc.
    Graphically, it's beautiful stunningly so.

Should have ability to check box for "Auto-spawn" or not which will give player option to switch loadout at death or auto-respawn with chosen loadout 3. Please add "skip -replay" for deaths. Not everyone wants to watch the replay. This may tie into the spawn time, which is why a Spawn button/menu along with loadouts should appear at death/time to spawn (look at how BF3 does it the game isn't popular for no reason) Expand

Let's just say this: If you liked Crysis 2, you're going to love this game. It pretty much improves upon everything from that game. The game opened up quite a bit and gives you a purpose to explore, as there are off-path caves and such that contain hidden upgrades and collectibles. The game is also a whole lot more dynamic due to the fact that everything movement related (sprinting, power jumps) now don't take off suit energy, which makes the game a whole lot more dynamic.
However you were disappointed with Crysis 2, this probably won't change your mind, as the main gameplay style is still the same. The nanosuit is still very stripped down, giving you only the option between Stealth and Armor mode. The campaign is also very short and pretty easy even on "Post-Human warrior". There's also not a lot of replay value to it, seeing how there's a lot of unskippable dialogue. Granted, it's not as scripted as Crysis 2, but it's still very tedious.

Multiplayer is fun, although besides of the nanosuit and it's mobility, there's not a whole lot to it that you wouldn't get from other Modern Multiplayer shooters. Still, I'd say it's worth checking out.

Overall, if you did not enjoy Crysis 2, I'd say it's worth a rental. Otherwise, go buy it, you'll have fun with it!

One of the best looking games to date, but certainly not groundbreaking. Everything has a superficial polish, but under the hood the game lacks anything truly great.

VISUALS: The graphics are amazing, but the FOV and hud mean that you can't see much of the world at any given time.

STORY AND CHARACTERS: The writing is by far the weakest part of the game. It tries to be much smarter than it is - the characters are always one step behind the player in terms of the twists and turns of the plot and you feel like the writers take you for an idiot when something telegraphed hours ago finally happens and everyone is in shock except for you. To put it simply - if they say something can't possibly happen, it's happens. And they try to tackle the ethics and morals of 'man vs machine' but it's handled so clumsily it's as if a high-school student wrote the dialogue. This isn't assisted by the fact that the characters are boring and you can't form emotional attachments to any of them because they don't think and act in any relatable way.

GAMEPLAY: The gunplay mechanics are smooth and fun and the seamless integration of the nanosuit technology makes this one of the game's strongest points. However, the battles have an episodic feel to them in the sense that the enemies only pop up once you reach a certain point on the map, and never exist dynamically in the world. So you kill a bunch of guys, move to the next area, kill a bunch of guys, etc, etc. On top of this, the use of vehicles is shoe-horned in and is completely redundant, and the game takes control away from the player for in-game cutscenes far too many times, and in completely unnecessary situations. If they had let you control the ship you're in rather than putting it on rails, or let you follow the characters actively and observe your surroundings, rather than watching passively the game could have had more life to it.

OVERALL: Somewhere along the line, Cryktek forgot what made the original Crysis so fun, and even though Crysis 2 bored me, this is my least favourite in the series for the simple fact that while number 2 felt like a corridor shooter compared to the original, it took place in the city streets so at least this feeling was contextualised. Crysis 3, on the other hand, tries to pretend it's much bigger and grander than it is. It has the corridor-shooter feel of the second game, but tries to hide this fact by adding some open fields for you to trudge through. That's all well and good if there's something interesting to see in the field, but the only interesting scenery is on the horizon, and the only place worth going is towards the objective.

I give this a 7 because the engine is amazing and the gunplay is genuinely good. But a qualitative rating would be an 'eh' out of 10.

First of all: The graphics are the best that i have ever seen.
Unfortunately this is the only extraordinary feature of the game. The characters are the best and most "living" in all Crysis games. The Story is not that amazing but its solid. The sound is amazing. The overall Gameplay is also good. 7/10 points from me: -1 for story -1 for short duration -1 for uninteresting Multiplayer part.

Multiplayer is the killer of this game that's why i didn't buy it for 60$ when it first came out, Unless those FPS game developers decide to take a lesson for Battlefield they should just give up on the MP mode.
So here are some pros and cons on the game that i have noticed. Also
I will not be commenting on the story line since i haven't finished it yet even though I am almost there.
    Pros:
    New Weapons
    Awesome Graphics
Game play seems to be running real smooth
AI is alright nothing impressive just alright i guess.

    Cons:
Speed mode is still gone wtf...
I not a fan of the cute looking squirrels running around.
The story has just not grabbed my interest yet, dunno why but it just doesn't match up to the first one.
This game was optimized for consoles and you catch a sense of that when your playing ^^^
Psycho got fat and doesn't look the same is this bugging anyone lol.

Conclusion: This game was well worth 30$ I'm glad that I bought it on sell so I can experience where the Crysis Series is going >Consoles...

Anyhow, coming to the actual game. I only played it at a friend's house and I am glad I didn't pre-order it because it is only on Origin. To sum it up: It looks great and it is fun to play, but there certainly aren't too many new things to see. This series needs some attention and love. It feels and plays like a giant tech show, but there isn't much else around it. I am wondering if this is caused by trying to become another CoD? Get real! CoD is kind of done and each new version is getting worse and worse. Why not take a look at some cool new titles that got good reviews? Dishonored comes to mind.

Crysis 3 is not a bad game, but it certainly doesn't live up to the standards of the previous two. Lets start off with the basics (This is a review of the PC version, not the console versions). Lets start off with the basics (This is a review of the PC version, not the console versions). The graphics of this game look great, and the game is optimized very well, although it will still require a pretty good rig to run at a competitive level. The sound is good too, but the music is nothing noteworthy. The controls are tight and responsive, debatably better than the previous two games in the series. Unfortunately, that about ends all of the highlights of this game. Lets take a look at single player, shall we? Single player is an unimaginative, mangled storyline which garbles up a bunch of corridor shooting sequences in large levels, and calls itself a sandbox game. This game is not a sandbox. At all. Also, the A.I. seems to be mentally handicapped, I can literally cloak while someone is looking at me, and they will have no idea where I went. The campaign took me about 6 hours to complete on the Supersoldier difficulty. That might seem rather short to some of you, but I had more than enough of my share of such a mediocre campaign that I let out a sigh of relief when I finally finished. Next is the multiplayer, far and away the most attractive part of this game. The multiplayer in Crysis 2 was good, but it struggled from unoriginality. Crysis 3 has seemingly mended this. It has added original gamemodes, exciting weapons, and new mechanics that are rarely seen in other FPS games. The maps are also great, featuring lush environments and good overall design. However, the quality of the multiplayer is not too great. For whatever reason, the quick match feature has a strange selection menu where you choose game modes that you are willing to play on, as opposed to just choosing a game mode. This would work totally fine but Crytek created this system idiotically, not allowing you to be paired up with someone with even 1 different search parameter. If you have crash site selected, and everything else turned off, you can't get into a game with someone who has everything turned on. This essentially forces you to rely on the server browser. The actual gameplay of the multiplayer seems broken at times. You can run up behind an enemy and shoot them 20 times in the back before they finally die. Other times people die in 2 shots. I have had multiple situations where I activate armor mode before I can even see the enemy, and then I die faster than my brain can even comprehend the fact that I was getting shot at. Overall, the game is enjoyable, but even that is a stretch. I did not enjoy the single player mode at all, it was a chore. When you have force yourself to play through a game as short as 6 hours, you know that it is not good. Luckily the multiplayer picks this game up a few points. If you are planning to buy the game solely for the singleplayer mode, I would rate singleplayer as a 2/10. Expand

One odd thing I saw was in one of the APC sections where the impact explosion looked like a flat, black rectangle with flames on it. Controls were a bit shaky, and there is, of course, the strange delay in jumping. Similar to Crysis 2, the explicit mapping of armor, stealth and speed modes to keys are good improvements in respect to Crysis 1. I play usually with inverted Y, and the VTOL section was annoying as it ignored this settings. Positive thing that now I could survive difficult encounters, unlike Crysis 1 where the poor NK soldiers seemed to have superior armor to you (played all on easy difficulty). I felt a bit tedious to battle in Cry1 second half. The music and sound effects are nothing special, but I miss the sound of the SCAR from Cry1. The story is average at best; It felt head scratching in Cry2 and it still remained as such. It didn't feel like a sandbox at all. The AI was gentle and polite with me, but I guess it won't become Skynet anytime soon. If I consider that many need to upgrade their hardware just to play it on bare minimum makes it overpriced. Apart from the mid-game boss, the Ceph are pretty much the same as before boring, but fun to kill. There are a couple of levels in this game that are epic and really well-designed, but as a whole this is a shooting gallery I have little intention or desire to replay through, unlike the previous games. A word on the multiplayer I had a go at it and gave up after about 10 minutes. Hunter-mode is just stupid. It's bad enough in multi-player games getting killed and not knowing where from, as it is. But this time it's from a guy who's wearing an invisible cloak, so er even less fun. Deathmatch is fast-paced, but there are certainly more fun MP options out there for FPS fans. You spend 10 min killing 10 mobs to have a further 10 mins of cutscene and whilst the presentation is the best out there I can't help feeling that whilst they were perfecting their storytelling machine they forgot about the game. The small amounts of game that are in here are very good the world enviroment is beautiful and incredibly detailed but you don't seen enough of it this engine undoubtedly is the current graphics king but they need more game. Your cut scenes come far too often there aren't enough enemies in enough quantity or variety and then playable parts of the game are far too small and far too easy. As a game this falls very short as a demo of what the crytek engine is capable of its undeniably supreme. I have two 680gtx's and I would happily of swapped a ton of that eye candy for a bigger game with better more challenging gameplay. The game is far too basic and far to simple to keep you engaged I will probably never play it through ever again it holds no challenge. The vihicles felt loose and not very controllable and the multiplay is just as laggy as hell. For eye candy this is awesome, for storytelling this is awesome as a game its sub par and as a multiplayer game its also sub par. Still the best campaign is Half-life 2 and for my money at present the best multiplayer experience is BF3.

    Graphics 10

    Story 10

Cutscenes 5 they're just too big a part of the game you spend as much time watching as you do playing probably more if you charge through the levels. They would be fine if the game was 10 times bigger.

Gameplay 6 could be so much better it shows all of the potential but struggles to deliver on the promise (repetative sub games unlocking stuff). To much stop-starting with too many cut scenes theres no flow to the gameplay and the vehicles are terrible

Enemies 5 Not enough, Not enough variety, Very dumb AI

Multiplayer 3 laggy lag lag lag

Crysis 3 suffers from the same problem as almost all modern fps they're short eyecandy and dull to play with no repeat playabilitty whatsoever. I lost count of the amout of times I played through Doom 1/2, Quake 1 HL2. Sadly C3 will join rage and a whole raft of other fps that I will never look at again. We want fast paced arcade style shooters with big boss fights at the end of each chapter and lots of chapters. Make the games feel epic again. Even with this engine because of all the crappy cutscenes and interruptions even the final boss fight in C3 feels like a chore (the first time I got there I actually turned it off at the first checkpoint as it was a boring encounter). I had to push myself to comeback and kill him this isn't how a game should be. Crytek, id, EA etc etc were gonna stop buying these games soon not because they're bad but because they're boring.

They called the game "hunter edition" and the cover is again about "the bow". They really tried to look cool and get people to want the game thinking there's something new and really cool, but it's not. You get the bow as your first weapon, to kill silently while cloaked. The thing is, you can only carry 9 arrows and you can't always easily pick them up after you shot some. In other words, just use a gun of you want to kill from a distance or if you want to run arround to get your arrows back, why not just do some melee kills? And arrow refills are pretty rare compared to gun ammo. Onine, the bow is useless too. I tried and tried to use it, but it just sucks. I also see other people trying to use it, but they just die and die without killing anybody. The question is Did they include the bow because they really wanted it to make Crysis 3 a better game? Or because of the hunger games, arrow, walking dead, avengers, The bow is something "cool" right now? I bought crysis 2 for 20 bucks maybe a year after the release. You should all do the same with Crysis 3, because paying 60 bucks for any EA game today is a ripoff. Expand

Yeah it has good graphics and nice environments but the story is IMHO still traditionally BORING! I never finished Crysis because of its story, barely finished Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 I'm just going to sell and never look back because I just can't finish it.

The entire Crysis series to me has been a perfect example of style over substance. If you want your run of the mill FPS where you mindlessly shoot enemies, this is it. The story is not engaging, and the characters are unable to be liked. In spite of the stunning visuals and beautiful graphics, the game was a chore to get through.

Crysis 3 is a pretty good game the graphics are nice the nanosuit are nice but the campaign is the problem you can finish it for 6 hours only that is but the multiplayer make crysis 3 not boring if the multiplayer in crysis 3 doesn't exist this game is up but if you think this game is not good enough Choose crysis 1 or 2 it's better than this

Yes it looks amazing, maxed out on high end gaming rig this is the best looking game ever made. However as a game it is only mediocre, it is more a benchmark for PC enthusiasts and a vehicle for the developer to sell their engine. Its story and setting are just rehashes of Crysis 2, which though a disappointment graphics wise, was actually a better game.

]Why the bow is sign of this game ? There are only max 15 arrows so in 90%of game you use only typical guns for other fps and it's haven't got better gameplay than call of duty or battlefield . Graphic ? If i want to word i will go on walk with dog, not play games. It's very avarge game.

The majority of the game feels optional, as all you do is cloak whenever you can and then walk past enemies or shoot them in the head. Gunning down enemies is simpler than any other alternative as the enemy AI is incredibly primitive. Since the maps are condensed and linear, you never bother to strategize how to deal with targets and simply take them head-on or ignore them. There are holes around the maps that you can accidentally get stuck in, forcing you to restart from the last checkpoint. I chose the Veteran (hard) difficulty, and even though I wanted to, I was unable to raise the difficulty afterwards.

Overall, Crysis 3 failed to scratch the same itch for me that the original Crysis did. It felt really tame. There was no room for creativity, no need for stealth, and killing enemies felt more like getting rid of people who were just in the way. If anything, this sequel played out more like Metro 2033 than Hitman, and in a bad way. Nothing is particularly memorable in this sequel, so you can safely skip it.

The game definitely promotes shootouts, there are lots and lots of weapons and ammo spread over each and every map. You can do it easy with the bow but it is meant for inept gamers. There have been added some cool pieces of hardware to mount on your weapons. If you want a challenge, you`ll be using just about every piece of equipment and vehicles for destruction and let me tell you it is so good! Yes, the game is a little slow at first but it picks up pretty quick when the cephs show up. They jump around, try to corner you, hide when low on health. The locations are actually okay. There definitely is incentive to visit every corner of each map, strike at one location, retreat and attack from a different direction. This is not a corridor shooter like some poeple say. For this reason I played Crysis3 purely in singleplayer and it took me 15hours. Yes, fifteen instead of five some people say. I would agree there are too many cutscenes I`d think made just to show off the graphics. Don`t get me wrong, graphics are very good, maybe the best, but we`ve seen that already in Crysis2. The final bossfight is mediocre at best. If you can buy it for not more than 30$ then I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Overall a good game with some nice moments but forgettable in the end. A 7out of 10 from me. Expand

Unfortunately, the game introduces almost no new features from the previous title--so it's just more of the same. The nanosuit upgrade system is a little more fleshed out, and there's new bow weapon, but that's about it for new features. While lacking the open-world environment of the original Crysis, this title does at least provide an interesting city/jungle hybrid environment. In the end, the thing that really made this game lose points with me was that it felt like it was designed to be easy: most areas have only small pockets of enemies, which can be stealthily dispatched at your leisure. You usually have the time to just pick them off one by one until you clear the area--and even if you alert them, you can play hide-and-seek with your cloak all day. Also, there were almost no intense fights: one of the few things I really liked about Crysis 2 was the parts where you just have to stand your ground and fight off big waves of alien attackers. In this game, about the only time you have to fight anything is when you get spotted whilst sneaking. Overall I still think it's worth playing, if you are a fan of the series, but sadly it just doesn't live up to its predecessor in most areas... Expand

While the bow will dominate (and the game could just have a bow with more arrows and that's all you need), the rest of the guns each of them have something that you will not like. Either power or accuracy or just how it feels like in the game. Ok, the railgun feels like a sniper rifle, but that's it. They also obstruct a lot of the view. I can't believe, that Prophet just can't carry that bow held a little lower and still ready to fire. Same with the guns. I was actually choosing based on which one takes up less space on the screen. Ok, back to the game. I feel like I have already played this game a 100 times. Actually I felt like I was playing Mass Effect without the ducking silliness. The stealth+bow combo is pretty much all you gonna use anyway, it's feels like I'm cheating though. Enemies are dumb. They just walk towards me and I gun them down like lemmings.
There is too much cinematics...I guess the devs were so impressed by their graphics, that I am half-watching half-playing, which I don't exactly favor in any games. If I want to watch a movie, then I pop in into my TV and lay back, but when it comes to games, I want to play. There isn't enough freedom to move around. Given a level, which is a determined size of area where to fight, and that's it, then you may move to a next waypoint, which is another area, and the whole freedom feel is destroyed by pushing some cinematics again, or the game warps you somewhere else, so there goes the "sandbox" feature. The length. It took me 2 nights to finish this game, I have hardly unlocked anything for the suit (saved a few upgrades), although I was hoping for something more to come, when the game abruptly ended on me out of the blue. That's it??? I got a bunch of suit upgrades saved..oh well, I was hoping for more, somehow I always felt like something bigger is gonna happen, something better is coming on the way, regarding guns/upgrades/suit useability. Yeah, you can customize the guns with different sights and ammo, but I always felt like, they don't make much difference, beside the scopes, but I've never felt I was gonna snipe with them, so I just used the reflex sights most of the time. Most of the time means, when I was out of arrows for the bow. So in a summary, I think this game feels like something blast from the past mediocre shooter..with upgraded graphics. Nice try, but next time keep up with what's out there already. We got Skyrim for open area (a DX9 game!) or Just Cause 2, as an example of "sandbox shooter". I just can't go back and follow a path and a script, especially when the Crysis series started out with Crysis 1, the very definition of sandbox play! The game gets a 5 from me, just because it actually came out, it doesn't look ugly and it can be fun for a few hours, but hardly something I want to repeat to play again. Good thing I bought it on sale, it would NOT be worth of 50 dollars.

If you're the sort of person who prefers complete control over their game at all times much like Valve's titles this game is probably not for you. Personally I'm fine with either. Now, for the good; The soundtrack is great, not quite as epic as Crysis 2's but nonetheless great. The graphics are truly brilliant, the story is memorable, the new Ceph weapons are pretty damn cool as is Psycho. I was going to give it an 8, but (no spoilers) the final boss fight ticked me off a bit it's about 5 minutes long and I died near the end just because I didn't mash space fast enough. But nonetheless, in conclusion Crysis 3 is far from a masterpiece, or trash as some people may have you believe. Being only six to seven hours in length and considering there's nothing really new from the previous entry, it could be fair to argue that Crysis 3 feels more like a DLC than a completely new game.

Gdy grając w jedynkę myślałem o końcu świata związanym z atakiem cepidów to właśnie wyobrażałem sobie coś w stylu Crysis'a 3. Prorok odwala tutaj świetne "przemowy" i niesamowicie ratuje świat. Moja ocena 7/10 Expand

    sooo.... lets talk about GRAPHICS!
yes! the visuals are BEAUTIFUL even on the lowest possible settings, thats how next gen game are going to look like, and BTW, you really dont need 8 gigabytes of ram to run that im oly using 2 GB ddr2.

So the gameplay is cool and the visuals are godly, but what about the story? For an FPS game, stories are really either really amazing are pretty bad. For Crysis, an incredible story would've made some amazing impacts; even more than it already did. It's story is okay, with the Alpha -Ceph and all . But it wasn't moving and wasn't something to celebrate. It wasn't bad, by it wasn't great either. Of course, if you are looking for a shooting game just to kill, Crysis is a pretty good choice. With cool weapons and new ones, it's a playground of shooting and hiding. Or... Is it ? The gameplay is awesome, but is actually very restricted in some parts. Of course it's not a sandbox game, but it was a little tight in some parts. Not anything to complain about really, as most games cant let players run too freely. So if recommend this to FPS and Crysis fans, but don't go buying it if it's just for the story. Not a bad game, compared to most other FPS games. Expand

it is very linear and the level design makes the game tedious. I really cannot count how many times I reloaded to manage to play through some sections in the game....and this wasnt fun at all. The story was ok and I liked the addition of Psycho. Graphics were very good but not like in Crysis 1.....If you liked Crysis 2 you probably will like this too.

Although Crysis 3 does bring about some positive changes to its core under the gorgeousness of New York 2.0, it is not enough to deliver something more spectacular than mediocrity.

The last game in the series is also the weakest one. The story has too much melodrama for my taste and the campaign lasted only 4 hours even on the hard difficulty with all the side missions done.

Really, I mean REALLY outstanding graphics, short, but intense campaign, average multiplayer and very poor AI. Game mechanics are almost identical to Crysis 2, the game lacks innovation. 7/10 in overall.

This game from Crytek has a lot of problems with combat systems and even visual part. Combat system is weak and poor for vertical gameplay, for example. Visual part is very noisy. Plot (story) is... standard. And direction doesn't have any new or nothing that can surprise the player. General design is poor as well.

I played Crysis 3 just to conclude the trilogy story. Beautiful graphics. That's it. The rest is Crysis 2 all over - linear levels, "meh" storyline, generic FPS gameplay combined with a cool supersuit. Nothing more, nothing less.

As a long time Crysis fan, this part was the first where I haven't seen credits rolling. The setting, narrow maps and lack of any story in which I would be at least remotely interested is a big no. The graphics fine, they were good, but the styling and gameplay is a downside in my opinion.

We are all agree that visuals and graphics are outstanding. Now, they should bring open world to this franchise like they did in the first one. Game is very short and the story is not much than a regular one. This saga is not ageing well.

At that time, Crytek served us a beautiful-looking FPS game with a great story and openness. In addition to the Warhead data disc, a full-fledged sequel to Crysis 2 was released a few years later, which disappointed many people with its closedness, because what made the number one game just as great was the openness and several ways to deal with enemas. The two no longer had this option, but on the one hand it offered us a new environment in the form of the city, which was great. But now back to Crysis 3. The reason why I briefly described the previous two parts was because I would now like to compare them. One and two are great games for me, because each offered us something a little different. Where Crysis 3 is lagging behind is something new. The graphics are beautiful, yes, but it's not such a leap as it was a double. The environment was ... just saying that. A smaller mix of one and two. Here and there some grassy parts resembling an island from number one and here and there skyscrapers with a touch of the city from number two. The combination is quite good, but nothing new. The nano-outfit technologies were already quite impoverished in the duo, although I understand the authors' intention to make the game easier by controlling, especially on the console. I myself am a console player who prefers to take the gamepad almost everywhere. I say it everywhere, because FPS games or strategies according to them are simply a matter of keyboard and mouse. The story here is good, although in my opinion it does not surpass the previous ones and for example such a Prophet seemed unsympathetic to me, but that is purely my opinion. Game time is, I would say, for 5 hours, but this is usually the case with shooters. The game basically does what the second one does, it just doesn't add anything new. So if you liked the previous parts, then I think that Crysis 3 is a sure choice for you. For me, a good game that I recommend. Expand

While it is technically the best version of Crysis out there, it is really only a slightly better version of Crysis 2’s mechanics and graphics. Because of that, Crysis 3 feels more like an expansion pack to Crysis 2 than a true sequel and more than likely not worth your time.
