    DA et chara design sublimes !
    Bande son au top
    Le gameplay est vraiment plaisant, avec son système de temporalité, autant dans les villes et donjons qu'en combats
    Dialogues entièrement doublés (doublages en anglais uniquement mais de qualité)

    Quelques quêtes fedex qui rallongent artificiellement la durée de vie

    Don't know why the devs think exploring maps has to be punishing. Random mobs encounters are fine moderately, but this is just too much and wears you out for getting a chest or two, and just feels bad not being able to flee 5 times in a row. The encounter transition is also not very good, just a white loading screen with no music change until loading completes ruins the immersion.

    Artificially stretched with pointless twists and turns. Clumsy and underused core mechanics. QTE in 2021? Please... And all this, at a crazy price. Buy Death's Door.

    I liked that everything is voiced and the voice acting is good and the art style is beautiful.
    The story is ok.
    The time mechanics makes the game interesting seeing how the town and people look in the past, present and future but still it lacks real depth as your choices are tied to whether you find and complete all the quests in each area. And you end up choosing from 3 choices with the third only being available from completing all quests. The combat is ok.

    What I disliked most is that to get the best ending you have to complete all quests and it is very easy to miss quests. But not too much of a problem I just watched the best ending on You tube as I missed 1 quest that was time sensitive and don't want to play through again.

    I liked the game though the end had a bit too much back tracking and too much recycled content fighting bosses you've already fought.

    It's an ok JRPG. I enjoyed playing it and never felt bored.    … Expand

    Visualmente es hermoso, tiene una mecanica de pelea con lineas temporales muy original pero siento que se desaprovecho su uso ya que se puede ignorar en el 90% de los encuentros, por lo demas se siente un RPG super infantilizado en sus dialogos y jugabilidad limitada y lineal.

El arte es precioso y la música sin ser perfecta cumple, puede que venga de un estudio modesto, pero, eso le da mas valor, no le resta. Quizás le pondría como punto negativo la poca variedad de misiones secundarias y su cuantía, pese a eso, es un gran juego, pero es un errorMas que notable aportación al Rol clásico por turnos, con ideas interesantes, con una duración mas que aceptable.     Top Rpg game since long time for me........ so wonderful ,with nice characters,sympathic humor and nice music. cant understand the metascore .. i love the game

    Un juego normal con sus puntos fuertes y flojos muy marcados.

    Lo mejor claramente es el arte en todo su conjunto, escenarios, personajes, rivales... es muy bonito, las animaciones están muy bien etc... Lo segundo mejor es la historia principal y los giros argumentales. Sinceramente no es nada del otro mundo, pero creo que es inesperado, lo normal sería que fuese mucho más plana en un    Un juego normal con sus puntos fuertes y flojos muy marcados.

    Lo segundo mejor es la historia principal y los giros argumentales. Sinceramente no es nada del otro mundo, pero creo que es inesperado, lo normal sería que fuese mucho más plana en un juego de este tipo, así que creo que es muy positivo que se hayan esforzado en este aspecto.

    También hay cosas cumplidoras sin más, como la banda sonora.

    ¿Lo malo?

    Es demasiado largo, creo que le habría venido bien durar como máximo 15 horas y ya me parece mucho. Creo que alargan artificialmente el juego, no solo con las secundarias, si no con lo pesado que se hace recorrer una y otra vez los escenarios.

    Aunque lo peor del todo no es la duración, es el sistema de combate. Quieren abarcar demasiado, dar variedad etc... y por desgracia es excesivamente sencillo. Primero parece que puede estar bien porque juegan con mover a los rivales al pasado/futuro y hacer combos con habilidades. Sin embargo puedes ignorar eso totalmente y spamear ataques y magias sin pensar y te pasas el juego.

    Resumen final... juego curiosete y apañado, que se te puede hacer pesado, pero que te lo pasas fácil y al menos la historia está ahí. Un pena no sacar mejor partido a lo del tiempo, que está tan en la sopa y a la vez es tan intrascendente que deja mal sabor de boca.    … Expand

    Bought it from epic because im reading a buggy experience in steam. However in this version theres a bug where cutscene will just be black screen, cant find any fix anywhere so i just watched the cutscene on youtube, kinda ruin the experience for me.

    first of all, for an indie game :
    - This game have a pretty high quality ost (doesnt sound like midi)
    - Most of the dialogue is actually voice acted
    so this game definitely have big budget going in. so let me put the list of pro and cons

    pro :
    - Amazing breathtaking cutscene (however its ruined for me because in my game cutscene is just black screen)
    - Good art style
    - A lot of the VA is pretty good (im talking about cristopher, zas, kari hudo, etc). mostly main character tho, the rest is questionable
    - Neat mechanic, you can see the city from different perspective either past, present and future and you can change the future
    - Ost for city is banger, make sense since you be hearing that a lot with the amount of backtracking
    - Multiple ending depending if you do sidequest or not
    - The story is good at the start but then going downhill, however it pickup on the endgame
    - Choice actually matter (spoiler : only if you do all the sidequest lmao)
    - Combat is ok i guess for some character
    - There is free dlc, however it barely added any content to the game
    - I like the story

    cons :
    - Random mobs encounter in dungeon, you can counter this using ring, but its a late game item
    - The game is a bit stretched and quite a lot of backtracking
    - The story got boring in the middle
    - A lot of character is really underfleshed
    - Main character VA is questionable (yes im talking about willhelm)
    - some character have a pretty shallow combat mechanic
    - most overworld puzzle is boring
    - most sidequest is overglorified fetchquest
    - dungeon music is ok, not memorable
    - overworld is a bit empty, not the city tho

    Finished all achievement in 45 hours, but of course only 3 of my achievement register because another bug.

    Overall, this is an impressive first title from a young indie studio. An enjoyable cast of characters with great designs combined with an incredibly solid battle system facilitate an engaging story full of twists and turns. It may not win any awards for pure originality, but we do stand on the shoulders of giants, and in this sense Cris Tales rises higher because of it.

    Cris Tales has a very distinctive art veneer, but it also has obvious technical shortcomings that make the process of playing very bad, ultimately causing more regrets than surprise.

    Cris Tales is the first game from the Colombians studio Dreams Uncorporated, and it's rather impressive, with a deliciously retro feeling, a charming design mixing pastels, 2D and 3D, very pleasant for the eyes despite some optimization concerns, even on PS5, where DualSense is not very well supported. What makes Cris Tales original is not its classic scenario, but the powers of its protagonist, who can see both the past and the future at the same time. In game, it means a screen cut in three, and we can have fun moving the camera to observe the destiny and life of an NPC by running from left to right. In combat, it's quite exhilarating, since it will be necessary to mix temporal and elemental mechanics to overcome his enemies. Clearly, Cris Tales is a very humble and charming little game, and if this is your kind of game, you should look into its case.
