    Bro it is the best game eva yes it need a bit of updating to do but it is a wonderful game which brings ppl together one of the best games i ever played been playing for 5 years and still loving it peace of cs users.

    The best game ever. It hasn't stopped being fun after 6 and a half years of playing, and that's really a hard thing to do.

    Graphics sucks, cheaters dominate. I know that, but i seriously don't give a f&$#.For example, one game is entire 2D, but the gameplay makes you feel that your in the clouds.THIS IS THE PERFECT DESCRIPTION OF CS! The game engine is damn old but with its combined player-to-player (teamplay), weapon arsenal, maps and gamemodes (de, cs) makes the game be more worthy than 50 dollars.WhoGraphics sucks, cheaters dominate.     I remember my friends asking me to come to a computer cafe to play Counter Strike. I never really knew what Counter Strike was, but from what they'd told me, it sounded godly. So I came with them, and 1 month later, I'm in steam BUYING it and loving it. To all idiots who think CS sucks, You suck. To all idiots who think CS sucks, You suck. Counter Strike offers gameplay which requires a bit of skill and knowledge of recoil for each gun. Telling you not to shoot too much and shoot your gun steadily. You may suck at the first time you play, but it's part of the game, your never good automatically, you have to GET GOOD. The only thing i disliked about Counter Strike are the hackers and cheaters, but it's a rare chance to see them, and the AWP Magnum sniper being so strong but expensive. The game offers a large variety of maps, guns, and if your sick of that, there are tons of Modded maps, Skins, and Mods for the game like Zombie Mod, Surfing, Jail Break, and even Deathmatchs.… Expand

    One of the best first person shooters of all time. This game has survived the ages, despite Condition Zero and Source being released. Competitive and casual play never get old. Easily my most played games ever.

    Great game, there is no game out there that can compete with the game play. I have all of the big name shooters out there today, and they are easy. Most of the time teamwork is not needed, but here (1.6) you need to practice strategies etc. Yes, there are hackers but if you think everyone is hacking then you clearly just suck. Oh, and if hackers is what is stopping you from playing, thereGreat game, there is no game out there that can compete with the game play.     Simply incredible. I'm late playing this game (Mar. 2009), but it's still one of the top three games I've played on any of the current systems (and I own all three.) Although if you're playing the game now and you consider yourself any kind of gamer, make sure you download the update and disable the vitachambers so you can actually die. If you don't, any and all challenge is removed from the game because you can never really die. The good news is if you disable the vitachambers, you can still save at any time. So while I died a lot while I figured out how to take down some baddie or group of baddies, I always had a recent save to fall back on so I could try again. Back to the game. Atmosphere. Story. Gameplay. THis game has it all. I so love the crossbow with the bolt trap arrows.. Brilliant! And to Chris R. comment below, yes, you use the wrench a fair bit early on, but as you get the better weapons, the grenade launcher and crossbow, and especially once you find the terminals to upgrade them, I put my wrench away pretty much for good. And the plasmids are great fun too. And the camera, so shooting pictures of your enemies which allows you to learn more about them and kill them better, brilliant. If you haven't played this game, you owe it to yourself to try. I don't truthfully expect the sequel to be this good, especially since it's a different studio doing it, but you never know.     this is the best GAME ever made. I have played every FPS game out, nothing compares to this game. the graphics are still very good for a game that came out in 2000 and the mechanics and gameplay doesn't compare to any other game. all other fps games are a HUGE dissapointment. CS IS THE BEST GAME EVER MADE.

    Been playing Counter-Strike since 2000. The most amazing game I have ever laid my eyes upon. Still to this day, 9 years later, as I have grown up with counter-strike through the years, we continue to live on together. Amazing. My kids will be playing this game in no time. Counter-Strike Source, as new as it is, doesn't even match up to this!

    Most people would rate this game 5/10 or lower due to the fact of these... Cheaters, hackers, boring, pointless, bad graphics, old, annoying, and everyone is just plain better then me. CS is a well balanced game and there are servers out there where admins will take care of the hackers!! The game is well known for leagues and lanning! I been to the majority of the following. CAL, OGL, Most people would rate this game 5/10 or lower due to the fact of these... Cheaters, hackers, boring, pointless, bad graphics, old, annoying, and everyone is just plain better then me. CS is a well balanced game and there are servers out there where admins will take care of the hackers!! The game is well known for leagues and lanning! I been to the majority of the following. CAL, OGL, CPL, WCG, ESL, XPL, ESEA, CEVO, LAN Tourny and more. This game relies on skill, fast reaction, and good hearing. Its a balanced game, and its the most addicting game I own.     Good weaponry, good maps, bad gameplay. People way to often cheat, not to mention those jerks that Flashbang their entire team at the game start... and Sierra doesn't seem to give a sh*t about the cheating...in fact, the lastest patch actually made it EASIER for people to cheat.
