    Не стану разводить долгих ностальгических соплей про компьютерные клубы, в которых я в детстве ни разу не был. Просто скажу, что лично для меня эта игра запомнилась неплохими перестрелками с ботами. С сетевой же составляющей я познакомился гораздо позже, чем когда зашел в нее в первый раз. И здесь тоже могу лишь сказать, что изобретательность создателей кастомных серверов, скинов и карт неНе стану разводить долгих ностальгических соплей про компьютерные клубы, в которых я в детстве ни разу не был. Просто скажу, что лично для меня эта игра запомнилась неплохими перестрелками с ботами. С сетевой же составляющей я познакомился гораздо позже, чем когда зашел в нее в первый раз.     1.6 version is the best fps game in the whole history and I feel I was so lucky to play it when it just came out. I can still remember the time when I played with my friends after class. But it was so sad that I was not allowed to play anymore when I was in high school. I was only able to play with bots but still a 10-game.

    Counter-Strike (1.6) is an all-time classic and one of the first games that I owned and played on my Steam account. I even bought it boxed and with that, started my journey on Steam. Counter-Strike is a simple, yet so fun, game. You choose a team, in which your objectives vary. You can play as terrorists or Counter-terrorists. As    Ultimate classic that still holds up today.

    Counter-Strike (1.6) is an all-time classic and one of the first games that I owned and played on my Steam account. I even bought it boxed and with that, started my journey on Steam.

    Counter-Strike is a simple, yet so fun, game. You choose a team, in which your objectives vary. You can play as terrorists or Counter-terrorists. As terrorists, you keep and defend hostages, place bombs at specific sites and prevent the counter-terrorists from defusing them. As counter-terrorists, you try to save the hostages and defuse the bombs that terrorist have placed.

    Meanwhile, you pump each other full of lead. I especially liked the VIP mode, in which one player is appointed as a target that will win the round if eliminated. The other players on your team need to defend you with their lives until the time is up to win. It is a unique and fun experience that was most fun at LAN parties.

    When starting the round, you choose/buy your weapons. You can choose a variety of pistols, sub-machine guns, heavy assault rifles, sniper rifles and grenades. Some weapons work better for you than others, so half the fun is trying to figure out which weapon has the right feeling and handling for you. The weapons themselves however, are well balanced and I did not experience any unfair advantages with a specific weapon.

    The Graphics in Counter-Strike are really nice for the time. They are well rendered and textured, and the frame rate is spot on. No tearing, no lag, it runs smooth as butter. The animations are stiff and when killed, you drop dead as a brick, but this the charm that the game has.

    In terms of sound, this game nails it, especially for the time period. Guns sound aggressive and loud, and explosions can be felt through your headset. It is spot on and holds up great with today’s standards.

    The controls are easy to learn and work fluent and responsive.

    My only problem at the time with Counter-Strike was the limited time to choose your gear before the round starts. It is completely logical that players do not wait until everyone choose their shiny guns, but when first playing, I was still checking what weapon would be best for me, and before I knew it, I had forty holes in me. But, like with many other First Person Shooters, especially online, I just need to git gut.

    I still cherish the memories of this game at the many LAN parties I attended to, the pure joy, tension and competitive game play that had this unique experience back then. The thrill when you finally blow someone up with a well lobbed grenade, the satisfaction when you finally sent a successful sniper bullet through someone’s skull, it was just amazing. Counter-Strike will always be one of my favorite online shooters today.

    The upgraded Counter-Strike: Source introduces new graphics and an even smoother experience, however, Counter-Strike (1.6) will always remain an all-time gem that can be played any time. When I am feeling old, I just play this version over the Source remake or Global Offensive, just for good old times.

    Legend! Even today, it plays beautifully. The game, which was conceived as a mod for Half-life, but became better and more popular than the game itself. Personally, I played it with my classmates in computer science classes and liked it so much that I decided to download it at home.
    C.S 1.6 is a classic that is immortal.

А какие были киберспортивные турниры? Легенда Маркелов, Спаун, ГетОпределённо это легенда.     Este juego forma parte fundamental de la historia de la industria, tanto como la compañia de la que viene (Valve Corporation), nadie que yo conozca no lo conoce o no ha jugado aunque sea una vez Counter Strike 1.6, su jugabilidad y mecánicas son de lo mejor, a día de hoy se sigue jugando, la comunidad lo mantiene vivo y eso es mucho decir para un juego del 99 en pleno 2020.

    It is amazing how revolutionary this game was. I feel like it changed whole FPS genre and lot of players love it till this day. Game is still played a lot and I agree it should be that way.     Asombroso que el juego luego de casi 20 años se siga jugando, para su época (1999), que era un mod de Half Life, fue muy famosa, un buen shooter divertido. Le dedique casi 500 horas al juego xD.

    Are you kidding? This game revolutionized not just the Multiplayer Fps genre but video Games in general. If you're a gamer you know counter-strike, even outside of gaming you know what counter-strike is, unless if you're from north korea.

    Bueno SIN DUDAS soy todo un PROFESIONAL PLAYER en mi carrera de tan solo 2 años de jugabilidad (unas 1879 Horas de Juego). A causa de jugar excelentemente me fueron proporcionaron diversos Softwares como el de Ganarme un Nombre de Multiplayer ANTI-SPAM PC1 MASTER CS.SOFTWARE 1 e diversos softwares más que sin duda los daré a luz algun dia haciendo HLTV.     The one game from my childhood that hooked me the most. How can it be so fun to shoot enemies that quickly die game after game after game? While i think about that i think i will boot this up and shoot some enemies!

    It is good game with good team atmosphere around it, but lack of story, graphics and anti cheating system could not help it to get to the top. Just shoot, win. And you can just see who killed more and which team has won more. No achievements at all.

    My first FPS game was some sort of FTP Facebook game , but my real first FPS was CS.GO . When i was a kid I loved to play some Nintendo games but almost 3 years ago I started playing CS:GO with my friends. I    Counter-Strike 1.6 was released a long time ago. The game revolutionized the world of games and eSports and 17 years after his release date you can still see how 1.6 changed things.

    My first FPS game was some sort of FTP Facebook game , but my real first FPS was CS.GO . When i was a kid I loved to play some Nintendo games but almost 3 years ago I started playing CS:GO with my friends. I started to play that game everyday and it was my main game , but after some years , my HP Laptop just couldn´t hold it with the map graphics updates and that stuff.

    That´s when I started my passion for "Old" games , I looked for a solution and found out a 10$ pack that included 1.6,Source and both CS:CZ. And of course , my laptop could run those games.

    I didn´t knowed that I was going to love "Old" games so I started to play the most recent one before CS:GO , which was Source. After 40 hours of playing I got bored because there weren´t many Portuguese players and friends that played the game. I wen´t doing some research and found out that 1.6 was the most played of those games game by Portuguese people. I was confused because the game was old , the graphics were awful , etc... But apart from those things , there was a big Portuguese community around the game and there were so many good players and friends to play with.

    I started to love the game and my passion for "Old" games was increasing and I started to play more "Old" games. I could see the influence that 1.6 had in the games community.

    Nowadays , I have a new PC and I´m currently playing CS:GO , but I still love to get back in 1.6 and just chill for some hours.

    Still one of the best online shooters to this day. The gameplay is very easy to pick up and learn, while also nearly impossibly hard to master, the perfect formula to keep you coming back for hundreds (if not thousands) of hours worth of matches.

    great game, if you don't mind your ass getting kicked by people better than you... considered by many a classic, i still couldn't get into it as much as i did with source.

    Still in my memory as the best FPS multiplayer of all time. Hugely skill based. One death per round made it count. Still never experienced anything in any game like going on a real heater kill streak in good ol' CS!

Sure it isn't fully realistic but things like footsteps and the sound of bullets have saved my ass multiple times from certain doom.     -The maps are excellent. Seriously there's not a single bad map. The worst it gets is meh. But who can forget the classic de-dust or cs-assault. Fantastic maps with fantastic design.

    Cons:
    -The graphics haven't aged all that well. It isn't Deus Ex level bad but it is Half Life 1 level bad

    In conclusion Counter Strike is a fantastic multiplayer shooter and anybody who wants a little strategy with their FPS's should check this game out    … Expand

    Still worth playing after all these years. An adrenaline filled multiplayer FPS with well designed maps and a lot of external mods will keep you occupied for a while.

    It came out a lot of years ago and still remain popular. I remember being addictive with this game a few years ago, and I'm happy that I cancelled playing it since it took a lot of time. But I would definitely say that it is awesome. But not today.

    界面简洁，容易上手，趣味性高，设计科学，一不小心就能玩很长时间，里面的城市地图都是基本依据现实的，所以在玩香港大阪这些我去过的地方就很有代入感。
    很不错的轻松益智类小游戏，地铁爱好者一定会喜欢的，希望早日登陆 iOS 平台。

    A true masterpiece. This game is perfect in pretty much every way unlike the newer CS games. There aren't any silly updates to this game adding un needed guns or un needed nerfs or buffs. This is pure perfection. CSGO may have more features and depth, but that brings a lot of issues with it. Those issues that Counter-Strike 1.6 does not have. 10/10

    All time best shooter and most fun PC game ever. What make the game rock is the realism, the dynamism of the matches, the tactics and the graphics. Impact of this game no other PC game has ever caused since then.
