Mar 11, 2024You leave this stylish, compact and clever game feeling relieved to be free, but then an hour later as you sit at your computer answering endless work emails or grinding in some identikit live-service fantasy game, you have to ask yourself – am I really?

Feb 23, 2024The game is about more than just the severity of the discomfort imposed on you. It’s also about the ways the discomfort reminds you of real life.

Feb 21, 2024Corponation: The Sorting Process is an interesting, albeit well-designed simulation involving simple gameplay and a handful of minigames to break up the monotony of the corporate nonsense lifestyle. While it didn’t peak in terms of pulling on my heartstrings or senses of dread that usually accompany dystopian narratives, it sufficed in keeping me enticed with its gameplay.

Mar 1, 2024The moral choices didn’t really stick. In Papers, Please, you are helping your family, the women being trafficked, and the citizens generally. In Corponation, you are only helping yourself. There are multiple endings, but the ending I reached had a twist that felt so obvious I didn’t realize it was meant to be a secret. There are just too many hints given throughout to make it feel clever, and like many other aspects of the game, it struggles with balance. A glimpse of a good game can be seen here, but it couldn’t quite stick the landing.
