Oct 4, 2010I enjoyed the game and even bought Kane's Wrath. It's very pretty. It is not the best C&C game, but it is the last good one in the series. RA3 and C&C4 were bad. :(

Oct 13, 2011Possibly the fastest RTS game to date as well as having the most missions developed in a 3D RTS game ever. The story is great and so is the fast gameplay. Balance issues remain but some things should have been added into the game such as sky textures and the click and drag box with background shading.
-
Oct 3, 2010Still playing and loving it (with TiberiumEssence mod to bring back the original gore). A true 3D hommage to itself: the Command&Conquer RTS. Simply a must-have.
-
Oct 27, 2013Pretty much the greatest this series ever got. Great cast (mostly pulled from Battlestar Galactica), engaging story and really enjoyable base building strategy. Also the extra race was both a surprise and a delight.
-
Jan 1, 2012Looks like this game had a pretty big budget just judged by the lot of television/ movie stars in the cutscenes. Its really awesome and i would just love to see that in more games. Anyways something that could be even better would be EA finally giving the budget to a decent team and stop letting the C&C franchise from going down the sewer with mediocre games.
-
Oct 17, 2015The game is just horrible, nothing makes any **** sense, HEY LOOK AT ME I CAN LIE DOWN GOOD LUCK**** DOING ANYTHING. and HEY I SEE YOUR 10,000 SOLDIERS LEMME GUN THEM ALLLLL DOWN WITH 2 TURRETS
-
BenjaminC.Apr 9, 2007Ok, I had fairly high expectations for this game, maybe that's where I went wrong. I did enjoy the HD videos (Kane Rox) but the gameplay was extremely ordinary, it was fast and responsive but I think they forgot the FUN part. This may be your product if you enjoy the competitive online (and like spamming x units) but I'm sticking w/ CoH.

-
AndyM.May 28, 2007Pretty Average. No skills needed. I've played all C&C,an apart from good graphics and video cut scenes, there is no gameplay advance over the last C&C some 3 yrs ago!! Disappointing to a past fan, but with EA marketing push it'll sell.

MikeF.Mar 4, 2007Nothing new in terms of game-play, just pretty graphics. If you like the same old style game-play that apparently will not change, this game is for you. Very disappointing.
-
-
StevJ.Mar 5, 2007Bad gameplay. Graphics look like Dawn of War, stale. Doesn't match either Supreme Commander or COH, in fact, doesn't match Dawn of War.
-
-
WrexJan 19, 2008A simple game with simple generic strategy designed for idiots. Spamming a single unit for victory died back in the 90's, I guess C&C 3 makers didn't know that. But in this day and age of gaming if you have pretty explosions, people will like your game regardless of crappy play.
-
-
RichMar 28, 2007EA should learn that high production values =/= fun gameplay. The cutscenes with Kane and Michael Ironside are cool, but that gameplay itself is tired; we've all played it before. The RTS genre innovates at a snail's pace; C&C3 shows why. If you've been spoiled by SupComm and CoH, save your money.
-
-
SharbazR.Mar 6, 2007OFMG! EA has brought C&C back from the dead and it's even better than I could have ever imagined! If you've ever played an RTS game before, you'd be a fool not to go out a buy this one!

-
GameguyApr 14, 2007Since I'm a huge homo I didn't even play the single player I went straight online and did the usual, build one type of unit, rush, one type of unit rush. I was so shocked that I got bored doing this after only a few games yet I did it like 1 million times with starcraft, C&C is missing something...

LasseA.Mar 3, 2008This is an excellent game in it's own right and an even better game when in the C&C perspective.
-
-
MarkusW.Dec 23, 2007Simple game-play, limited tactics, very poor balance. I expected more from C&C 3, but instead of being innovative it reguritates the past in a pretty particle FX fiesta. C&C 3 is a shining example of mundane game-play wrapped in a pretty package. No wonder why the reviewers like it.
-
-
HarvB.Mar 23, 2007The game-play found in C&C 3 was great 10 years ago, but it doesn't compare to todays RTS games with deeper game-play. Even Starcraft has more depth. Kane is about the only thing good in C&C 3.
-
-
Ham&CheeseBeefMar 27, 2007Stinky... The graphics are great if you have a mega high end machine, the game-play is dated from a decade 7 years over with. But Kane is cool. I guess if you consider clicking really quick a sport than C&C 3 might fit the bill. Can I get my money back please? Pretty graphics can only cover up so much. Time for EA to move on from RTS.

ToddS.Apr 10, 2007Great game, leaves me missing something though. Doesn't have the depth starcraft did but it's the best RTS out currently.
-
-
EsseApr 2, 2007Nothing special - gameplay is terrible. Multiplayer is really nothing new. Starcraft is a years better. In C&C 3 there is no skill - no micro, no macro, only fast clicking into building process. It's the step back in C&C series. Only Kane is nice in camping.
-
-
TeodorR.Apr 4, 2007Game seen so many times before, and I was sicked of it in 10 minutes. Some units look nice, and some graphic elements, but that is it.
-
-
TylerA.May 8, 2007Fun single player, but that's likely all you'll get to play if you buy this. With all the time they've spent working on balance, merch, and hype, the net code of this game sucks, horribly. A large number of people cannot even play online (myself included) due to shoddy network code. Don't pay retail price for a game that still seems to be in beta.

ArneK.Jun 25, 2007Two point for good storyline. one point for good actors. another point for ... oh ... erm ... that's it. could someone tell ea to stop? pls? i mean, it sure looks nice when i'm not ingame and i sure love the story about the tiberium but ... ea messed it all up. and i guess the moneyflow stopped during the scrin campaign.
-
-
ThavornN.Jul 25, 2007The game looks darn promising, the graphics and lighting looks gorgeous, BUT if any only if some of the gamer can actually play it!!! This game is way too buggy, hang is a commonly known issue in which the patches doesn't do any good to it.
-

AnsonG.Sep 3, 2007Too boring and repetive. Map too small. Gameplay terrible. Even multiplayer and skirmish oomes out nothin new. Do not play this game. Its not worth for money.

StevePOct 8, 2008Beware, the game secretly installs malware - SecuROM. It is likely to cause problems with your computer and is almost impossible to remove.
-
-
cncguyAug 8, 2009This is the most UNBALANCED RTS i have ever played!!! This is my main complaint: Most units are almost useless and ONLY used to counter other units. Like a ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS GAME. That is why this sucks as soon as you relise this. This really disappointed me because I was expecting a really balanced game.

AndrewL.Apr 21, 2007Pretty average RTS. Brings nothing new to the table and follows the same tired old formula of previous C&C titles. Dated menu and build system.

-
OneShotApr 29, 2007Are you serious? I was so excited about this game due to the fact that I was a Command & Conquer Generals : Zero Hour fanatic. I loved that game so much, thought that this would be like that. This game is super boring, don't buy it. I was so excited for a new Generals too!
-
-
SeanH.Sep 12, 2007Great graphics are really all this half-arsed sequel brings to the table. The storyline feels forced, the FMVs are painful to watch; gameplay feels incredibly generic, and the fact that there is no innovation whatsoever makes for an utterly forgettable game.

Aug 8, 2014The game is about strategy game with new resource, tiberium. The tiberium can use for power plant, weapon, etc. If your infantry through pass tiberium, that can damage your infantry.

SharbzR.Mar 27, 2007OMFG!!!! This game is by far the best RTS out there! The single-player campaign is unbelievable with all of the live action cutscenese (it's soooo damn cool having Michael Ironside and Boomer from Battlestar Gallactica telling me what to do, not to mention LANDO from STARWARS!!!) EA definitely pulled out all the stops and made this title worthy of the name Command & Conquer!

JamesB.Apr 3, 2007I have always been a fan of the Command & Conquer series but this game makes the cake. It takes the RTS genre to a whole new level in entertainment for me, just the right amount of units and with only three sides the battles never stay the same but never get overly complicated. In my opinion, this is the best RTS ever.

M.AlexJul 2, 2007Fantastic game, solid storyline, addictive gameplay. Videos are slightly on the cheesy side, but i take for granted that that was intended. Perhaps some younger gamers will consider this came a bit of an anachronism, but if you liked the classic RTS's (Dune 2, Command and Conquer, red alert) its worth checking out.
-
-
GrantG.Jul 9, 2007A brilliant RTS, includes all the elements of the C&C universe that everyone loves, but improves on the story line by bringing it bang up to date!
-
-
BenC.Oct 15, 2007Great addition to the C&C series. Does the 'traditional' RTS formula incredibly well.
-
-
KevinC.Mar 30, 2007Tons of fun, good looking even on moderate systems, and probably the best (and fastest playing) installment since Red Alert 2. And ignore all the lame haters. They sound like the type who, if the game did play like current RTS titles, they'ld still be here whining about how they played around with the formula or something like that and still giving it a 2.
-
-
TadhgR.Apr 11, 2007A fine addition to the C&C series. Has lost some granularity of control over individual units. But all in all great fun, and fine graphics. If you like C&C, buy this.

KeithM.Mar 7, 2008A great RTS that doesn't try to be anything more than it's genre. It's simplistic, well balanced and both the singleplayer and multiplayer (I don't play online, just LAN) are overall well made and enjoyable.
-
-
ErraticCommunistNov 14, 2007Westwood would've done it better, but EA deserves the credit for not screwing it up like they did with a lot of other franchises. Probably one of the best of modern RTS, along with Supreme Commander - and will probably stay that way until Universe at War and Starcraft 2 are out.

PCZockerMar 10, 2007The game-play is like Tiberium Sun! And that is good, but i should say some things a not ready and this game will played on WCG. That will be a look how balanced that game is... I'm excited!

AlfredM.Mar 27, 2007A definitive leap on the C&C Universe, Westwood (or what is now known as EA LA) Studios have truly outdone themselves on not only keeping the spirit of what C&C is, which is fast paced and easy to play game play, but they have also made a game that will be remembered for a very a long time. With that said, Long live Kane!

MobiusMar 29, 2007maybe a little to fast for a RTS game as multiplayer matches can be over a little to quickly thanks to engineers and commandos, its sort of gone back to its original roots from the the early years which ain't a bad thing and its great that they have gone back to the cool cheesy FMV sequences. I'll play it but supreme commander is still the king of the RTS games.

JaredN.Apr 30, 2007Extremely enjoyable game. Cut scenes remind me of the glory days of C&C and they are remarkably well done, drawing you further and further into the engaging story. Gameplay is fluid, smooth, even on lower end machines with the proper settings. The action is intense, engaging, and captivating to watch.
-
-
MattB.Apr 9, 2007This game is a huge step forward in the series. Not only do the graphics look pretty, the additions take this game from a whoever builds the fastest wins to a very in depth strategy game. The addition of planning mode makes it nearly impossible to go back. All in all, I'd recommend this game to anyone.

CameronT-P.Jun 7, 2007Overall, Command And Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is a good game but fails to add anything revolutionary to the RTS Genre. With so so many online problems I've had with it, I just can't justify giving it a higher rating than 7, even though the Campaign on the whole is brilliant and my only complaint is that the Scrin campaign left much to be desired.
-

MichaelT.Dec 10, 2007Only thing keeping me from giving it top score is the Scrin campaign. While twas fun smiting them down, twas not agreable playing them, for you have no clue as to what structure serves what purpose, same with Scrin units.

BesterApr 22, 2007The game marks a return to the insipid gameplay of the original c&c series. Whilst prettier than RA2, looks don't mean everything especially when the gameplay is boring. I mean the game does not look that pretty anyways really ... considering it is using a refurbished battle of middle earth 2 engine.

Feb 5, 2013Returning to C&C tradition after C&C Generals, C&C 3 brought back FMV cutscenes for the single player campaign (and with an all-star cast). 3 sides to play with makes the game more interesting but the difficulty of this game compared to previous C&C titles can be overwhelming for some though. Also no awesome soundtrack by Frank Klepacki but they did bring on Steve Jablonksy.

Nov 27, 2012I really enjoyed this game and its expansion. It was a worthy addition to the cnc series. I enjoyed this rts game far more than Starcraft 2. The multiplayer side of this game was very good, and i got to rank number 1 in this game for 1v1 and the expansion when the games were released.

Jun 17, 2020Worst pathfinding in the genre. When you play mission, where your resources is very limited and your units always dies because they CAN'T **** EXECUTE SIMPLE COMMAND AND GET THE **** OUT OF ENEMY FIRE RANGE - only wish is delete this crappy piece of code and never install it again.

After years in the wilderness, RTS is pretty cool again right now, and something as cheerfully straightforward as this is just what's needed to stop the big braininess of "Company of Heroes" and "Supreme Commander" leading to another plunge into an inaccessibility that turns more casual players off the whole genre.
