Computer Gaming WorldThe missions are interesting and, lets face it, every once in a while, its a cathartic blast to wade into the middle of swarms of bad guys and teach them the folly of opposing truth, justice, and the American way. [Mar 2002, p.91]
-
The quality graphics, accessible interface, fun single-player and multiplayer action, and effective sound all combine to make this a very appealing release.
-
By making the game more accessible to general consumers, they also took out some of the much needed depth. What it does, it does fine, but it doesn't do too much.

-
It appeals to a man's primal (well, juvenile, at any rate) need to blow stuff up, that part of the pre-adolescent male psyche that puts fireworks in model airplanes, melts GI Joes, and burns down popsicle stick cabins.
