For most it will be a tall order to overlook the crude graphics, let alone forgive the punishing difficulty levels and total exclusion of Skirmish options. Sure, it's nice to be offered a new historical setting for our RTS pursuits, but it's hardly a good reason to choose this game over one of the many better options cramming the shelves.

The only major criticism I have for CWC is the unit selection and employment of the units at the outset. You are not provided with most in-depth briefing and the time it takes to organize your forces at the beginning of each mission can be really tedious and lead to errors in judgment based out of boredom.

The difficulty level is quite harsh at times, and you can become frustrated attempting to defend points whilst searching for reinforcements you left hidden in the trees. But the campaigns on offer are varied, and make for some interesting long range battles using rockets and attack choppers.
