    Sure, the emphasis on tactics and cover etc make it slower than today's bells-and-whistles RTSs, but the time you get to think makes it one of the cleverest. Some games just don't seem to get tired with age. Chess and Close Combat are among them. [June 2007, p.79]

    If you liked the old CC games, this stays true to it's roots! Still as good as ever!!

    My review is biased due to CC series being a personal favorite, it still has not been bested by an RTS with realism. This revision re-release was worth the purchase, tweaks improvements really make the game what it could have been on first release by Atomic if they had put more time into it.     Getting multiplayer to work is the most difficult & frustrating experience your ever likely to have to endure on a PC. A very very poor show indeed.
