  1. Authentic puzzles and ancient atmosphere make Riddle of the Tomb a cut above the average point-and-click adventure.
  2. In some ways, Cleopatra: Riddle of the Tomb feels like a family-friendly, casual version of an adventure game. It's engaging, it's simple, and it's short, and it has a premise that's easy to identify with.
  3. Still, as I indicated above, Riddle is a nice little game (much less than 10 hours long) but not at a first-tier level. It's too short, too easy, and too lifeless. Like Secrets of Da Vinci (a better game), it emphasizes puzzles over people contact.
  4. The tried-and-true formula is executed almost flawlessly, but there isn't any innovation to speak of.

This Cleopatra is no legendary beauty, but it is an adventure that will appeal to genre fans. [Sept 2008, p.69]
