  1. The tried-and-true formula is executed almost flawlessly, but there isn't any innovation to speak of.
  2. In some ways, Cleopatra: Riddle of the Tomb feels like a family-friendly, casual version of an adventure game. It's engaging, it's simple, and it's short, and it has a premise that's easy to identify with.
  3. Authentic puzzles and ancient atmosphere make Riddle of the Tomb a cut above the average point-and-click adventure.

This Cleopatra is no legendary beauty, but it is an adventure that will appeal to genre fans. [Sept 2008, p.69]
  5. Still, as I indicated above, Riddle is a nice little game (much less than 10 hours long) but not at a first-tier level. It's too short, too easy, and too lifeless. Like Secrets of Da Vinci (a better game), it emphasizes puzzles over people contact.
