    Clandestine is a great cooperative game and a good single player game. Try it if you are in search of an original take on the stealth genre.

    Clandestine is one of the best coop experiences we've played so far. We've loved working together with a friend, both as a hacker and as a spy. It is also fun to play it alone, but if you're looking for a new coop game, Clandestine should be one of the main candidates.

    This game is enjoyable, especially in co-op with a friend where one player can take on the role of spy and the other, hacker. However if you’re a gamer who has a specific focus on graphics and you cannot look past the flaws then it might not be the best game at least until the game is (hopefully) polished up a little.

    Despite the serious tone set by the plot, it's best to go into Clandestine with a light-hearted approach. The movement is a bit clunky, the animations and voice acting are stiff as a board, and there's plenty of visual issues. However, the core gameplay and asymmetric ideas work well together.

    It has some flaws, but it’s also an original and valid cooperative experience. When played with friends it can be brilliant at times, what it lacks is the capability to impress as much when played solo, and some technical finishing touches.

    Clandestine takes a great idea, the fact that spying is a two-man job, and delivers carefully balanced gameplay mechanics, both for the field operative and the hacker, that are easy to understand but hard to master.

    All I can say is Clandestine needs polishing. It has some creases to iron out and whilst I recommend it to co-op lovers, that recommendation does come with a few disheartening caveats.

    It could be the game of the year. Clandestine definitely has a great idea and a few bright moments. But unfortunately it lacks a precise craft and something special what could push the game further is missing. [Issue #259]

    The original concept and realistic infiltration design is ruined by plenty of errors, repulsive plot and rarely functioning multiplayer. Despite all this flaws, fans of stealth games should still pay attention to Clandestine.

    Despite recently leaving early access, Clandestine is a game that isn't quite where it needs to be. As it stands, it isn't worth its asking price. The gameplay shows glimpses of what could be, before promptly shattering those glimpses with yet another death caused by glitches, another death caused by being stuck in cover and another death caused by poor gunplay.

    While the graphics and animation leave much to be desired, this game is seriously fun. I have a tendency to be a graphics snob, and this game is really disappointing in that area, but it makes up for this lack in a big way with fantastic fun. Do not play alone, its tedious and dumb this way. Playing with a friend however is a great and fun experience. It uses an interesting concept that I have never seen really employed before in any game The hacker can have a lot of fun directing the action and aiding the spy, where as the spy does there best to slip by really random AI. I really think that with a bigger budget and more attention to detail this could be one of the best coop games ever made.… Full Review »
