    I don’t know what all of these negative reviews are talking about, this is a super fun tycoon game. I would highly recommend it, but you obviously shouldn’t be expecting GTA V or something.

    Wierd - the day after I raise a negative review - some one chips in a positive one, with no actual data about the game. If I was a suspicous sort I would think that something suspicous was going on with this game. It is abysmal.

    Its 1927 - I have 203 corners, 102 crew and $640K. around 40 managed business - 10 gambling joints and 20 as yet unused businesses. My crew list of the right therefore has around 120 entries. If I click on someone on the map, they highlight, but I have to scroll up/down to find them

    If I click on my £ total to see the "Where is my money" list. It is too long to fit on the screen. Its is bottom justified to I see the lowest 45 (ish) entries. Which in my case accounts for about $90K. So to find the other $500K I have to scroll up and down the "Crew List"

    Operations- spend ages time and effort on getting crew to operatives. Send them on schemes, they die! So now stick to the Accountants and the operatives.

    Operatives - I send them on a scheme. they have 10K on them - But wont progress the scheme untill I make sure $250 is in the HQ! Madness

    Mechanics.
    Can set up new fronts whilst expanding anywhere on the map. So have to stop all expansion (which may take a few turns) then remember where you wanted to set up new fronts, set them all up - then revisit them to start expansion again. Madness

    Cant rename buildings so help you. In the end i have used a whole notebook to remind me what I planned to do when

    No notifications that things are about to stop - only that they have actually stopped, So you have to scroll up and down (remember it if a scroll up down sim so thats OK) the list of 50 business to check what is Red. Why to I need a sheet of paper to plan my "cops schedule" when I am using a computer!

    If you click on a business with more than 1 person on the corner - you are asked "whom" you want to use. Every fricking time. You can reselect people down the bottom anyway - so why keep asking. Often you are checking inventory anyway so dont care.

    Every time you start a turn you get loads of click though messages. Option to turn them off please! you have taken this corner, that corner and another corner

    I need some lumber - I know I have some - I click on the $ total on my screen - I click on the inventory listing. I see a list of every item I own. Cant search it, get no totals, can't click through it. So I spend ages scrolling up and down (it is a scroll up and down sim so that is fine) . So I have to make a note on paper (if I only ha a computer to use) and then scroll up and down the "crew list" (it is a scroll up and down sim so that is fine) - though life is made a bit harder as both lists use different names for businesses - to find them items. Or I just go buy more of them

    And before all this happens you have the joy of getting a reasonable starting postion. OK you have the seed which helps a little but some options would be nice

    Unfortunately this gains a positive score on steam. Maybe its just Me    … Expand

    A complex cross between a tycoon, a 4X game and an RPG with turn-based combat. It offers some interesting ideas but ultimately failed to convince me. I think the developers simply overdid it, implementing tons of features and elements that either don’t matter much or are poorly executed, but unnecessarily clutter the game and overwhelm the player.     Folks, City of Gangsters is a very well thought out and developed game. It's very detailed and quite comprehensive and to the point that most everything you could think of when thinking about booze running crooks is there. The developers definitely did the work and research necessary to show what prohibition was like back in the 1920s. Throw in a good measure of fun along with your bottle of moon shine and you will have hours of fun, just like I did some twenty-odd years ago with the Railroad Tycoon games that I loved so much. Don't drink too much of that white lightning because the cops could be pounding on your door next. Just make sure they are on the take like the cops in City of Gangsters are and you should be OK!

    City of Logistics Managers may not get the heart racing or the imagination firing to the same extent as City of Gangsters, but it would be a more accurate title. It's as if City of Gangsters is ashamed about its administrative predilections, as if it wants to hide the true nature of its operation behind a less reputable -- more exciting, more dangerous -- veneer. City of Gangsters is itself a front; in the back room there resides a serious tycoon management sim. Like a reverse mullet, it's all party at the front and business at the back. It shouldn't be embarrassed about the mullet though. City of Logistics Managers is an excellent game, even if it may not be the one you're anticipating.
