Its a simple expansion but brings with it several fun features and buildings, making an already great game even better.

To some players it's going to feel like a handful of aesthetic features, but once you use the new mechanics After Dark draws you deeper into making your own little world.

After Dark is a good expansion to a solid game. It does not alter the experience of the core game, but definitely adds to it in various and interesting ways. It is well worth your time and you will spend countless hours in your new 24/7 cities.

This add-on improves the gameplay and the atmosphere of an already great game. It's the sole ruler of the city builder genre.

While it might not be the most feature expansion pack, what it does contain will certainly excite fans of the original game who've been looking for more content.

A good expansion pack: the price is just fine, as it adds enough to the gameplay to keep the player entertained for a long time.

After Dark may not be a revolutionary addition to Cities: Skylines, but the number of impressive new features and enhancements offered here is more than good enough to get my vote again.

Cities: Skylines may have been a dark horse at first, but with After Dark it's now a formidable thoroughbred.

There are a handful of new buildings and ways of tinkering with your city that adds a fair amount of value. However, by far the biggest improvement to come with this DLC - a day and night cycle with gameplay effects - is available for free. You don't need to buy this DLC to enjoy a beautiful night cycle in your cities, but if you enjoy the game you'll probably be interested in the stuff this DLC has to offer.

Paradox has said that they wanted to make all DLC optional, so that users won't feel like they're feeling compelled to purchase the DLC for the full experience. In this, I think that they've succeeded, as a night cycle was most of what I was hoping for in this title upon release - and again, it's free. That said, I was more than happy to shell out 15 bucks for this DLC so that I can support continued development of this awesome city-builder.

Cities: Skylines remains the top city builder on the market right now, and it just got a whole lot prettier.

I loved parts of this game, but frankly the broken death mechanic renders it unplayable after a period of time. The developers response: working as intended. Basically they've built such a mind-numbingly simple civ model that it can't handle different play styles. Full Review »
