    When you look at other games with similar scores, all I have to ask is what were the critics smoking? A 55 for video games basically means the game is borderline broken. This game is fantastic! it's fun! I felt like there was a lot to do, I loved the story, the villain and the train.

    This game was a lot of fun. Yes the game can drag at times but most of the time its fast pasted fun. My only real gripe about the game is the story isn't very well told it's good but it's more telling not enough showing hopefully this just get improved with a possible sequel in a few years.

    ChoCho charles is and impresive project made by one guy if you dont take a look at the dumb models its a pretty solid game 10/10 would play again

    Any successful solo dev game is a 10 in my book, was a blast through and through.
    I'd like to see reviewers make a better game, only then they can leave such god awful scores on a passion project.

    I never felt a low in this game. I was always either on the edge of my seat, or laughing at "Bob". The stealth sections felt kind of out of place but were still fun cause of the ability to lead them out and kill the guys with my train, or actually try to stealth my way around the guys only to inevitably be caught. The paint colors were probably the biggest issue I had with the game as the black, lime, and green colors especially the lime and green paints were almost too bad for me to keep playing the game. Upgrading your train and getting new weapons felt great and I never had a moment where getting scrap felt like a chore. I completed every side mission and it was totally worth it except Ronny's where you have to climb this stupid tower it was horrible and you get like 1 scrap out of it. Overall incredible first game from this developer and I look forward to seeing what they create in the future. (I do not count "No snake hotel")… Expand

    Really well made and a very fun short experience, I recomend this to anyone looking for a short and fun game to play.

    Ok ok here me out, you take Thomas the train, and then you take a random spider, BAM new video game.
    Honestly this game pretty cool it is kinda slow at some parts, the Charles fight gets kinda repetitive at a certain point, some of the fetch quests are boring, but its still pretty good. Remember ONE GUY made this. I really love the creativity and the character personalities.     How do you give this a 4?? It's a horror indie game made by ONE dude. For what it is, it's fantastic, I'd put it up there with Witch Hunt when it comes to monster hunter games. Only gripe is the price, 5 bucks less and you're golden for a short little horror experience.

    The game is very good, though some people are hating on this game, what do you mean, two-star games isn't a AAA game studio but just 1 dev, considering this was made by 1 dev the graphics are very good and the playtime was little short I understand but during my time playing the game, there were rarely any bugs or glitches even though it launched that hour.     Great, Fun and unique indie game, epically when it was made by basically one person. Sad to see that critics like IGN take the reviewing way to seriously for a game this scale. Would recommend 100% for people who want to have a fun time where they're constantly on edge. 10/10. Gavin, you should extremally proud of what you've created. Though maybe $14,99 would've been better but that's aGreat, Fun and unique indie game, epically when it was made by basically one person.     the game is about 3 hours long if you go for all the trophies and I genuinely wish this game had a little more content since its really fun    … Expand

    Choo-Choo Charles is more than just a funny idea about a demonic spider train. There is solid gameplay at the heart of this game – it certainly isn’t a world beater and it’s only three hours long but as a horror one-shot with a blend of fun and action, it works surprisingly well.

    Choo-Choo Charles is short and flawed, but you can give it a chance if you enjoy silly, kitsch horrors that are a motley of bizarre ideas which miraculously work together in some absurd way. Not for a full price though.

    Choo Choo Charles reminds me of a movie by Full Moon Studios - like Demonic Toys, Hideous, or Head of the Family, it’s an entertaining “what if?” concept that just isn’t enough to support an entire piece of media. With basic gameplay comparable to any number of low budget horror titles, it’s a fun idea and absolutely nothing besides. I wish it had more to offer, but like so many joke games before it, we already got the punchline when we saw the trailer and there’s nothing the gameplay adds on top of it. To be brutally honest, Choo Choo Charles would have been better as a fake game, or at the very least nothing would have changed if it was.
